Whiff of Joy Anniversary Blog Hop - Guest Designer Call

Whiff of Joy is coming up to their first anniversary and they are celebrating with a blog hop...the super talented Katharina is searching for 15 fans (which defo includes me) to each get a stamp to join in with the hop...I pondered over whether to join in the competition or not but with a bit of prompting from my mate Kate (thanks Kate) I finally made this card to enter...once I had remembered this fantastic two tone paper from S.E.I called Mimosa/Mint julep the rest sorta slipped into place...I cant get a decent photo to show you how incredible this paper is, the close up of the flower shows it best I think...its pearlescent and two tone yellow and green and the colours go darker as you go up the paper, its also double sided, now you just couldn't get any better than that could you and how perfectly does Melinda go with it, she just has the most perfect face ever as you can see by the close up at the bottom...I kept her colouring very gentle and simple as I don't think she needs anymore, shes coloured with a mix of Copics, Distress Ink and whispers...I needed very little after adding this beautiful image except a row of beautiful pearl flower buttons, a gorgeous velvet ribbon from American crafts and one of my flower mixes and a couple of pins threaded with some lush heart shaped beads, I also because of the shape of the sketch decided to finish the inside with the reverse of the paper and some more lush ribbon...I hope you like it xxx
