The revenge of the gremlins - Mos Digital Pencil Dreamteam DT + Wild Orchid Challenge 14 + Papertake Weekly challenge-anything goes

Good morning everyone I hope you are all well and happy...as you can imagine my mojo has gone a little haywire but yesterday I thought right a rummage through my papers and it should give my mojo a boot in the bum and as always it did, so paper sorted, image coloured, embellishments sorted I was cooking on gas then I got my guillotine out to start cutting and there was an awful crunching noise and the arm cracked right across the top and was hanging off, I was gutted as I have had it since I started crafting but fished out my backup guillotine my husband bought me just in case and set about again and crunch the very same thing happened to that one...WHAT!!!!!!...now is that freaky or what, I will take a photo of them as they are split in almost the same place and it really was an attack of the gremlins, but Phil says it has something to do with the plastic and extreme temperature change blah blah blah...to tell the truth I had a charlie brown moment and he turned into my English teacher lol...so I'm on the search for a new guillotine now and I really don't have time to look as we have to fly out on Tuesday for the funeral...but the card that caused all the trouble is today's, isn't this image just so sweet, shes the beautiful Anna from the Timeout kids at Mo's Digital Pencil, I coloured her with distress inks and teamed her up with these amazing Websters Pages papers, I love these the colours are beautiful, I finished with a sentiment which is an old rub on, some velvet ribbons and a mixture of Wild Orchid crafts roses and prima flowers...my card is for Mo's Dreamteam DT and the sketch is from Wild Orchid challenges and I'm also entering it for the Papertake anything goes challenge too...have a brilliant Saturday everyone and watch out for those evil little gremlins

That is just bizarre about your cutters!! I got a really good one a few years back and brandished it at my very first release demo day... only to drop it on the floor and smash the arm to smitherines.... so wasn't the calm cool and creative impression I wanted to make!!! Hope those gremlins have moved on to the next house, love your mauve and cream combo :)

The odds against that happening to two guillotines in one day must be phenomenal! I would buy a lottery ticket if I were you and perhaps the odds will be working for you instead of the other way!
The card is lovely and I love those time out images of Mo's - they're so expressive. The Websters Pages DPs are great - did you know that you can download them from their website?

beautiful card,,, wonder if i have those colours of distress inks? what do you apply it with? stumps? nibs?
I work in a scrapbook store in Montreal and can recommend the TONIC brand of guillotine, they have handy photo sized and at least two desktop versions, it is my go-to guillotine at work. at home i use the creative memories personal trimmer and the purple cow desktop.

Your card is beautiful and I love that image! That is freaky about the two guillotine cutters. I think your little gremlin didn't want you to put Anna in a timeout! And does strange things happen only to you or your DH too? lol. I have a Tonic guillotine cutter and love it to bits! (hey, i used the word bits - does that sound right? lol) And LOL about the Charlie Brown moment - WOH WOH WOH - that happens to me a lot when wordy people keep talking & talking, lol. Have a safe trip and hopefully the gremlin will have left by the time you get back!

Hi Mina, I think it might have been more appropriate to use Mo's Broked image today, what with breaking two guillotines, we might have to call you Samson, its always the same once one thing goes wrong theres always another just behind it.
The card is gorgeous those papers are lovely as is your colouring its beautiful. With love and hugs Shirleyxxxxxx

When the year starts out badly, the good news is "the only way is up!". Lovely card, in spite of the difficulty you had making it, Mina. Fabby papers too. My favourite paper trimmer is an A3 one from Rymans product code 0970400399 about £27. Like with my scissors I tried out quite a lot but this one is my fave and you can buy new blades when they eventually dull. Hugs to you, Lesley
