Ive been steampunked...

Good morning everyone, I have been on hot bricks to show you these amazing new digi stamps aren't they fantastic, when Gayle (yes these are by Gayle of Teddybo fame) asked me would I like to have play with them it took me two nano seconds to snatch them off her lol...for ages I have wanted to have a go at steampunk but hadn't seen any images or stamps that cried colour me until I saw these...Gayle has started a new shop for these called Wonderland Stamps and even the shop front matches these beauties and yes I'm in the gallery, how chuffed am I


as soon as I printed these I thought oh no I don't have any steampunk papers but rummaging through my papers I was amazed at how many they would go with, I matched them up with this kraft card and My Minds Eye Life stories collection paper, this one is called Green Damask...I used my usual distress inks for colouring...the box I bought ages ago and it has been sitting on a shelf looking at me and every time I went to use it I put it back because I was keeping for 'something special', I used one of Wonderlands frames for the front, cut it out to make a surround for a Edgar Allan Poe quote, I used a teeny key on top of it too and finished with a bow...I decided to make a kinda poem book to go with the box

this was really easy to make its just attached together with the same ribbon I used for the box bow...the poem is The Raven by Poe and even the insects on the middle pages are digis from Wonderland, that's one of the reasons I love digis because you can resize them and of course they are instant shopping too which counts for a lot lol...well what do you think? do you like them? I'm bursting to know...right I will leave you in peace now as this is quite a long post, I haven't a clue what I'm doing today as Phil is away at the motorbikes marshaling, say aaaawwwww then lol...whatever your up to today have a fantastic day everyone and have a look at Wonderland Stamps and let me and Gayle know your thoughts please

    Oh. My. Gosh!! Mina, these take my breath away! Spectacular coloring and what great images for your style of coloring! My fingers are getting itchy just wanting to get into all those shadows and draping and nooks and crannies with my Copics, since I just can't get the hang of the distress inks like you can. (I still want to live inside your head for a week or so!) The paper is perfect and was meant for this very special project! And attaching each part with the ribbon -- INSPIRED!

    You do an AMAZING job with every card you do regardless of the subject. This one is beautifully done as well. I have to admit that steampunk is a new term for me & I'm not sure exactly what it is. Probably means I am getting old!

    EEK- woman, what a gorgeous project! The new images rock - ok maybe not so much the cockroach (ugh - i hate to deal with those, lol). You have colored all of the images gorgeously and I love your box/card project design!

    Mina, STUNNING!! I like steampunk, but have never gotten any images. They all seemed tooo "mechanical" if that makes sense. But these.... hmmmm. Love what you've done, fabulous! Actually glad to hear that Phil is out and about, that means he didn't come down as bad a case of the "ughs" as you did.
