extra, extra...

Good morning everyone have you all got something exciting happening this weekend to make me jealous?, I hope you all have a fantastic weekend planned...btw have you got your tree up yet?, I was going to put ours up tomorrow but we decided we would leave a bit earlier so it will have to wait until next weekend I think...could you let me know if you put a photo of your tree on your blog, I love looking at peoples Christmas trees dont you and I would love a look at them...In still trying to twist my Dads arm (very very gently) to come with us but I feel so much better today, no iffy tum at long last, I am starving hungry though as I wasn't eating well, you don't when your iffy do you...oh well I will just have to get Phil to do some yummy cooking for me, well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it lol...my card for today is using this gorgeous little fella from Mo's Digital Pencil, I love him he is so cute isn't he, he reminds me of the 1920's kinda era...this little sweetie is called Extra and I coloured him with distress inks and used more of the stunning papers from the Prima Printery 6x6 paper pad for him, they suit him don't you think...the teeny clock and the tag is cut from the same pad and I added a grey satin ribbon to finish...the lush sketch is from Mojo Monday and I'm also entering this for the Fab 'n' Funky challenge and the Do You Stack Up challenge...I'm off out to buy my Daughters Christmas PJ's today, every year she gets a some PJ's and slippers for under the tree on Christmas Eve, its a tradition my Mum started when I was small and I have always done it for my Daughter (and now her partner too although he doesn't get the girly ones or the slippers lol)...whatever your up to today have a fantastic one

  12. No tree here yet either hun, we have to plan it like a military campaign to reduce the risk of sneaky branch chewing taking place. And that is a worry when it's a fibre optic tree. Simply adore your card hun, love how you have been so delicate with the colours on the wee chap, it's just brilliant. Have a super trip to the farmhouse hun. Hugs Sxx

  17. Hi Mina. This is really beautiful. Love the image and colours. No tree up yet, hopefully tomorrow, always put it up the first weekend in December. Need to go to the attic first though. Leslie and Hollie will also go tomorrow and get a real tree for the back hall. I also do the pyjama tradition every year, although they get new pyjama's to wear on Christmas Eve for Santa coming.

  27. This makes the perfect thank you card! You've done your usual fabulous job of coloring & layout. Now I think I have to have this image too! My "alternate" tree is up & has been for a week. My lighted Xmas tree is just too tempting for my dear cat so I had to buy an alternate tree without lights until he learns not to chew the branches! lol

  28. Well Mina, you do exactly the same as my wee Mamma......new jammies for the kids on Christmas Eve! How strange. Im glad you are feeling a bit better today. We are going to attempt to put our tree up tomorrow but we may not have the room! We bought a corner sofa this year and the Xmas tree space has been eaten up a bit. We'll see what happens! I love this gorgeous card and completely agree, the Prima Printery pper goes perfectly with the image. Every time I come on to your blog I see papers I want!!! When the hubby complains to me that there is no food in the fridge because Ive spent all the money on paper, Im sending him around to you for some of Phil's home cooked scrummy food, lol!! Lee x

  31. Love the blue gray colors on this one. The embellishments are perfect. Have fun at the farmhouse, can't wait to see your pics. I'm heading to my daughters in Charleston for a couple of days to help her bake Christmas Cookies.

We had the same pj tradition. We always allowed the children to open one present on Christmas Eve. We would have the most fun wrapping the pjs in creative ways so the kids would choose that present to open. They used to get so mad at us, but as they got older, it turned into a real mind game. Ha Ha

It was a great way to get them in new pjs for the Christmas morning pics too. Ha Ha

  33. Hi Mina - your card is fabulous - I love the soft colours you've used.
I'm glad you're feeling better and I hope you enjoy your time at the farmhouse.
No tree up in our house yet, just our advent stable and flickering candle arch - too soon for the tree yet! I love the idea of PJs under the tree on Christmas Eve - we don't have any traditions like that, but it sounds so special.
    Love, Andrea xx
