I need some sun to peep through the clouds.....

Good morning all hands up everyone who is fed up with this horrible weather...now its not much to ask for is it that its not a kick in the bum away from June and a little bit of sun should be peeping surely...just a little bit...well a lot would be better lol...maybe I have the holiday blues kicking in or maybe its just my tan is fading fast or that I need something to get my teeth into but I felt so flat yesterday and all the plans went out of the window, I made this card then read all afternoon, well I say read what I mean is read a paragraph, nodded off and so on and so on...I need a good shake so any volunteers and don't all rush at once, form an orderly queue please lol...for a change I love how this card turned out, isn't this little Mo's Digital Pencil Fan's Cricket just stunning, shes coloured with distress inks and I hadn't coloured black hair for a while so gave it a go and it worked ok I think...her outfit is paper pieced with some of this gorgeous Basicgrey Marjolaine Maple Walnut Bar paper...lush isn't it...I finished with a stitched ribbon and knot, a bird cage charm and some little daisies I bought from The Works for £1 ages ago, aren't they great and they come on a bunch of 12 I think...the fab sketch is from Mojo Monday and I'm sure I had another challenge in mind for it too but my piece of paper has gone astray...I'm at a loss what to do today (well except for the self shake lol) so haven't a clue what I'm up to but whatever your up to have a fantastic day

birds of a feather...my last Guest DT card for Whimsy and stars studio

Good morning everyone did you all have a wonderful weekend?...we had a lush family Sunday lunch yesterday roast beef and all the trimmings...yum yum...Phil makes the best roast dinner ever you know...yes yes yes I am finally able to comment again (even if it is a little slower) thanks to a message from my teamie Janny from Colour Create, when blogger asks you to sign in uncheck the keep me signed in box and your sign in stays so no problem with commenting, I had a wonderful time commenting last night and plan to do loads more today until I catch up with everyone...my card for today is my last Guest Designer card for Whimsy and Stars studio, I have loved working with these gorgeous little cuties and want to tell you all that the lovely Mabelle is running a DT call for the newest member of her Guest Designer team...she is a dream to work with and one of life's sweeties and one of those lovely people who really appreciates the work you do for her, hop on over to her Whimsy and Stars Studio blog to check out the call...I used this adorable little Birdhouse Girly for my card and teamed her up with these fabulous papers from Bunny Zoe's Crafts, they are from the Kaisercraft Secret Bird Society paper pad, by the way Nikki has 10% off everything sale on at the minute so there's loads of bargains...how perfect are these papers with this beauty you would think they were made for each other...the gorgeous little butterflies are made of wood and are from a set of Wooden ornaments, Fruit, Butterflies and Flowers at Bunny Zoe's too, aren't they so cute and of course they could be coloured or glittered to match whatever you want, I wanted to show you them first in their wooden form as I think they match this card well don't you...the sketch is from The Sweet Stop challenge...I'm going to craft and comment all day long today (well blogger permitting)...have a wonderful day everyone

ooooohhhhhhh way to much to eat and a bump on the head......

Good morning everyone I hope you are all having a fantastic weekend, thank you all so much for the wonderful comments yesterday how flattering is it that you thought it was a photo not a painting, I couldn't believe you thought that...and huge thanks to Nic for entering my card for Sketch Saturday while I was away...the meal for our Daughters birthday was lush, but way too lush and we all ate far far too much...it astounds me our gorgeous Daughter is a size 8-10 and eats far more than anyone else...now come on how is that fair lol...well I must admit the farmhouse Phil found is so pretty and old fashioned, its the sort of farmhouse that has really low windows and loads of bends and curves, its like somewhere you would go for a getaway holiday but boy does it need work but the more you look the more you can see what it could look like with a little cosmetic work, its not somewhere for a city lover though its in the middle of field after field after field of cows with two lakes and a river but luckily only a mile to the local village which seems really nice...but would you believe I forgot my camera but I will get some photos next time...I did fall asleep on the coach but didn't snore or drool but did head butt the window when I jumped when it braked hard...ouch lol...I was really into my ipod and grooving away to myself when the man behind tapped me on the shoulder to ask what I was listening too as I seemed to be enjoying it so much...it was the Black Eyed Peas...I was maybe enjoying it too much but I find it really hard to keep still listening to music I probably annoyed the hell out of him lol...right enough waffle onto my card for today which is for the Crafts and Me DT, how glorious is this amazing Sara Burrier digi I love it, its called Joyous Grace and I coloured it with distress inks and glittered their beautiful wings...I teamed these beautiful angels up with some Graphic45 paper from the Halloween in Wonderland range this one is called Wonderland Classics, I finished with some gold thread and a ribbon sentiment...the lush sketch is from Sketch Saturday and I'm also entering this for the A Spoon full of Sugar challenge and Allsorts challenge which are both things with wings...right Sunday Lunch today then I'm not eating anything for at least two days...have a fantastic restful Sunday everyone

the beauty of Summer...

Good morning everyone how are you all and are you up to anything exciting today, I will be home now hopefully and we are going out this evening to dinner with our darling Daughter who is celebrating her 26th birthday today...I still don't feel old enough to have a Daughter that age you know where truthfully I'm old enough to have a 36yr old lol....sssshhhhh don't tell anyone though...it shows I'm getting old anyway as our Daughter is getting a tattoo from us for her birthday, she already has a very delicate white one on her foot which is a kinda stylised scroll, this one will be peach and a teeny tiny branch of flowers on the side of her hand...my Dad said does she not want something 'normal' and all I could think was how I would love one too lol...mid life crisis maybe although according to my Sister I'm well passed middle age (gee thanks Sis lol)...right enough waffle my card today is for the Sugar Nellie DT and this is the stunningly beautiful Summer, isn't she amazing, I coloured her with distress inks and I finally think my colouring mojo is coming back...someone remind me never to go away without my inks to have a paint please...two weeks without colouring is too long I think...I teamed Summer up with Basicgrey Marjolaine papers, I love this collection...the sketch is from the fab Sunday Sketch and stamp challenge...have a fantastic Saturday everyone

theres no cobwebs left here...

Good morning everyone...phew the cobwebs were defo swept away here the wind was about 80 miles an hour and our fences were waving like grass...I had to chase my bin around the garden in the teaming rain in my bare feet when the wind just picked it up like a rag doll and threw it of course the contents came out too...now theres a picture for you me soaking wet covered in rubbish and smelling of it too and with muddy bare feet...oooohhhhh wheres the paparazzi when you need them lol...well lets hope today is a little better and not as windy...so I thought my card for today should be a touch of summer especially when I saw this gorgeous little Nesto in Summer image from Mo's digital pencil, how cute is he with his bucket on his head...I coloured him with distress inks and how perfect are these papers from the Kaisercraft Seaside 6x6 paper pad from Bunny Zoe's crafts...they were just meant to be together dont you think...I cut out a few flowers and a ball from the same pad to add to the card and the life is a beach sentiment is from it too...well I spent a huge amount of time in my craftroom yesterday and this is all I managed but hopefully today will be better...my love Daughter and her partner came down and cooked for me...yummy lasagna...the sketch is from Pear Tree Designs challenge and Im also entering this for the Do it with Digis challenge, Allsorts challenge and Stamp Something challenge too...Im of to my craft room again for a more productive session today (well hopefully)...whatever your up to today have a good one everyone

a Tilda and some photos as promised...

Good morning everyone did you all have a fantastic weekend...well we went for a drive yesterday back to the beach to see if I could get some photos to show you and all I managed was one with the church spire as it was so windy and cloudy, so we drove a few more miles to another beach and got the other photo, what look like streaks on the sand is actually the wind whipping the sand across the beach, Phil said he didn't want to stay as the car didn't really need paint stripped lol...it was so so windy but at least it kept the clouds moving fast so I even managed to catch the beach in sunshine too...well before the next rain hit anyway...then we went to the top of a mountain to have a look at the view and go for a walk but couldn't stand up in the wind and decided as we didn't have our hang gliding equipment (yeah right) with us we wouldn't bother...right my card for today is another try to rediscover my colouring mojo...nope still missing...you know when something isn't right don't you...the papers are a mix from different pads and I added some brown lace and a lush gold ribbon to finish...I didn't make this for any challenge...now don't all faint lol

Isn't it amazing this stunning beach is just a few miles from where we live

Isn't this view just amazing...well today I'm going to lock myself in my craftroom and stay there until my mojo is found so if you don't hear from me in a while send the mojo police around...whatever your up to today have a fab day and I hope the sun reaches you wherever you are

You know when your just not happy with something...

Good morning everyone did you all have a wonderful day yesterday?...it tiddled down here all day so I took one look out of the window as the heavens were open and it was so grey and thought...nope not going mooching in that and got out my paintbrush instead...oh by the way for all those who asked what a cream tea is, its scones, thick creamy Irish (or wherever your from) butter, clotted cream and home made jam....mmmmmmmmmmmmmm delicious, but everything has to be laid on with a trowel so that it leaves your teeth marks in it and a blotch of cream on your nose when you bite into it...right back to the paintbrush, I wish I hadn't, you know when your just not happy with what you have done, I'm not a happy bunny at my colouring of this stunningly beautiful new Sugar Nellie Digi called Flora, isn't she amazing...I just know I will have to colour her again because there's something I'm not happy with about it and I haven't done her justice...anyway I coloured her with distress inks and used this gorgeous My Minds eye Bohemia At the Beach paper...I love this paper...I finished with some seam binding and a love charm, I used the fab sketch from A La Card Monkey challenge but didn't notice it was supposed to be a birthday card so I'm not sure it will count...I'm also entering this for the 7 Kids College Fund circles challenge too...right I have my camera in my bag ready we are heading back to the beach hopefully today to get some photos, that's if hypothermia or floods don't stop us, I know I have been told a million times not to exaggerate lol...have a wonderful Sunday everyone

a shrieking tale - Digi team Crafts and Me challenge - Anything goes

Good morning everyone...ok what happened to the weather while I was away when we left it was bright sunshine and we arrived home to a freezing cold Belfast airport and not so much as a sweater between us, standing in the drizzling rain waiting for our transport to our car...bbbbbrrrrrrr...I must tell you a little story before I forget and I'm sorry if it makes you shriek...sitting round the pool day 4 or 5 a Spanish couple arrive, very beautiful, tanned and the girl was stunning but had one of those awful thong bikinis on which kinda grossed me out a bit, if you wanna wear a thong wear it under your clothes not where everyone can see...but that's beside the point later on I was sitting on our balcony reading and glanced down to see her with her knees up and her head staring intently between her legs...what on earth is she doing I thought so grabbed my camera and zoomed in...you will never believe it but she was using a pair of tweezers and plucking her bikini line...yes plucking it, then when she had all those strays she plucked whatever hairs she could find on her legs...now really woman whichever way you want to remove hair is entirely up to you but please not in public...Phil couldn't stop laughing about it and saying women are mad, I did think of getting the tweezers out and starting on his legs but didn't fancy chasing him screaming down the street lol...right enough waffling my card for today is our the Digi teams new challenge over at Crafts and Me challenge which this week is Anything Goes with the added option of using kraft...I used one of the newest digis called Natalie, isn't she just stunning and fantastic to colour...I used distress inks as always to colour her and I glittered her a little...this amazing paper is from Jillibean Soup and is called Talk Soup...fab isn't it, I also added a bit of amazingly yummy glittered ribbon and a large Prima flower and finished with a few pink pearls..the amazing sketch is from Mojo Monday thank goodness for it as I'm finding it a bit hard to get back into a routine but should be ok in a few months or need a new holiday lol...I'm also entering this for the Papertake Weekly Bloom and Grow challenge too...I'm slowly catching up with blogging but it will take me a little but I will get round to everyone one of you fab peeps who left me a comment I promise...when you have time don't forget to pop on over to Crafts and Me challenge to have a look at the amazing Digi DT's creations...I'm off to catch up on some DT work and then its the dreaded cases which I haven't even touched yet...have a wonderful day everyone and don't be all dashing off to hunt for your tweezers lol

Superboy - Whimsy and Stars studio guest DT

Good morning everyone...this gorgeous little fella reminds me so much of my Daughter when she was little, she like all little girls loved dressing up and we quite often used to have girly days when we did the make up, nails and raided Mummy's wardrobe...she wouldn't need to do that now as my clothes would look just as big on her as they did when she was small...don't size 8 people make you sick, it took me until I was about 40 to realise I would never ever be that size now I have settled for size 18 lol...this little fella called Superboy is from the new release at Whimsy and Stars studio, isn't he so so cute, I coloured him with distress inks and used this stunning double sided paper from Daisybucket Designs My Little monsters range and its called play nice, its perfect for a child's card isn't it...I finished with a lush stitched ribbon and now a boys card wouldn't be complete without a couple of buttons would it...I hope you all have a brill day

can you smell the flowers? - Bunny Zoe's Crafts monthly challenge - My Choice - Lace

Good morning, did you enjoy your day off from me yesterday I bet some of you hadn't even realised I was away lol...well I'm starting my second weeks holiday today and am hopefully going a setting 2 on the toaster brown because I always use factor 25+ as I don't want the old skin looking like leather, nothing less attractive on a woman of a certain age is there, I think I will defo aim for golden brown rather than ikea leather sofa brown...my card for today is for our brand new challenge at Bunny Zoe's Crafts monthly challenge and this month its my choice and I chose lace, so any type of lace you want, paper, real lace, dies whatever you fancy as long as its lacy...I chose this beautiful CC Designs Swiss pixies Bouquet Birgitta and coloured her with distress inks...the lush papers are a mix of Kaisercraft Seaside 6x6 pad (beige) and Crate Paper Emma's shoppe (the rose one)...the lush lace is a brown elasticated one from Prima, the sentiment is from Whimsy stamps and the flowers are from Prima...I hope your going to have a go this month and I cant wait to see what you come up with...have a wonderful day everyone and when you have time dont forget to pop on over to Bunny Zoe's challenge and see what the rest of the team came up with

a bit of glitter and a few butterflies - Just Magnolia & hAnglar & stAnglar challenge week 105 - Anything goes with optional stitching

Good morning everyone...isn't it strange the things that go through your mind when your crafting...I remembered my Mum taught us sisters some 'moves' to protect ourselves when I was about 15, now we all had our little jobs in the house and one was to set the fire in the morning ready for the day, it was an open coal fire...I had a late class one day so I said I would do it...the house was empty and I was humming along to the radio and happily setting the fire, when I stood up a hand went onto my shoulder and the 'moves' must have been fresh in my mind cause I just grabbed it and threw whoever it was over my shoulder...my poor Dad was in a heap on the floor with such a shocked look on his face...he had a break from work and had come home and not wanting to scare me by shouting had just put his hand on my shoulder...needless to say he never did it again and has never ever let me forget it lol...my card for today is for our new challenge at Just Magnolia & hAnglar and stAnglar challenge...this is our Special Monthly challenge which means everything goes and as the lovely Carol is our host this time she has chosen an added option of stitching...I don't really do stitching so chose to use a stitched ribbon instead...I coloured this beautiful Tilda with distress inks and a little bit of glitter and teamed her up with this amazing Graphic45 paper from the Once upon a Springtime collection called Butterfly Kisses...lush isn't it...I finished with the fab ribbon, a swirled bow, a gorgeous scrunched rose from Wild Orchid crafts and a couple of punched vellum butterflies and dragonflies...have a fantastic day everyone and when you have the time pop on over to Just Magnolia and have a look at all the amazing work the rest of the team made

I love this colour combo - Colour Create challenge 70 -

Good morning everyone...me again...you know the one that isn't really here but is hopefully lying in the sun somewhere...when I first saw Kerry's Aqua, green, purple and white colour choice for our Colour Create challenge this time I thought oh no I don't have a paper with those colours on, how daft am I lol...I just used one of each colour and added the aqua with ribbon and have to admit this combo really works doesn't it...in fact I will defo be using it again it works so well...this is one of the reasons I love being a member of Colour Create's wonderful team they come up with some lush combos you would never dream of putting together...I decided to use a Teddybea image for my card, this gorgeous little thing is called Baby your a Star as is sssssoooo cute...the lush papers are from Echo Park Springtime 6x6 paper pad from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...I added some lush ribbons, a sentiment stamp from the Whimsy Love letter seals set and a few buttons to finish...have a fabulous day whatever your up to
