Good morning everyone and although there's no card today I have some yummy scrummy paper lovers candy for while I'm away on holiday, its all brand new and some of my very favourite papers and goodies...if you didnt already know Im off to Lanzarote on Thursday the 9th for two weeks so it will run from today until Midnight (GMT) Sunday 26th September and consists of

My favorite place is Stockholm. I lived there for almost 10 years. Every time I visit Stockholm it feels like coming home!

My favourite holiday was my honeymoon when I went up to a little island here in Australia called Hamilton Island. We were in the Adults Only resort and oh my was it beautiful. Very humid though so took a couple of days to get accustomed to it. We went to Whitehaven Beach which is the Whitest beach in the world, snorkelled just off the Great Barrier Reef and did parasailing. It was the best time of my life and was oh so special being our honeymoon. We have vowed to go back there every ten years so another four years and we will be back there. Thankfully my kids will be old enough then that they can come with us or I like the idea of them staying with the family so we can have another special holiday.

My boy was very little and his hair was so blond and al the greeks must give him a stroke on his little head.Mummy why do they do that,he ask me.

I adore Devon and Cornwall but I was lucky enough to go to Japan a while ago and long to return there. ReplyDeleteMy favourite holidays are the ones I've spent on the Pembrokeshire coast with my hubby and children, when we've had gorgeous weather. !
Oh - I've just remembered - Richard and I had a fabulous holiday in Canada after winning some money on the lottery :D - it was supposed to be a skiing holiday but I was not allowed to ski because I broke my hand when I went for a skiing lesson in this country a few weeks before going (ha! ha! trust me!)

ReplyDeleteI don't really like holidays, as I don't like flying. However, I have compromised and 2 - 3 hours on a plane is enough for me. I like Menorca and have been twice and it is so quiet and laid back and has beautiful scenery and wouldn't be as busy as other holiday resorts. One place I do like to go is Edinburgh for a few days, it is beautiful. The best holiday for me is home when the girls are off school and you have no routines, etc and you are a lot more relaxed.
Anyway I hope you have a brilliant holiday and enjoy your time with your husband and daughter. Donna

Business out of the way first, already a follower, put candy in sidebar, left comment. Best holiday was at Kelling Heath in Norfolk (near Sheringham). Wonderful weather, forest to one side of the campsite, heath to the other side and the seaside about 15mins away. Family contented. Kids felt so settled there Rancorman even went the 50 yards from the tent to the shop with only his sister. Perfect. Thank you for the wonderful candy.

Or in this country, it's the Isle of Sheppey cos since I've been ill and unable to go abroad we've had some wonderful holidays in caravans there. My best holiday EVER though was last year when my mum paid to take us to Disneyland Paris, it really was a once in a lifetime holiday and we had the most fun and no-one wanted to come home!! Marie xx

Actually, I've already been in some areas, but never to Wales, Cornwall and Northern Ireland, for instance. Talking about your fav place, if you come to Italy you can be my guest! The place where I live - Monza - is not one of the best for the climate, especially in winter but is very near Milan.

The best holiday destination has gotta be Sorrento in the south of Italy, on a clear day when i was a kid we coulde look out the window from my grandmothers window and see the isle of Capri, i had such wonderful holidays there right through my life that was always my holiday destination, i miss it terribly and actually get a real heart ache when remembering. I could people watch all day there - and imagine that I actually OWN one of those wonderful gin palaces in the marina! My favourite holiday was a 3 wee cruise that started in Palma, Majorca and crossed the Atlantic stopping off at the main islands and travelling down the Brazilian coast to Rio. It was fantastic.

I've been to so many places in Europe so far: Ireland, Sweeden, France, Hungary, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, Ukraine .. and the United States, so choosing my best holiday is very difficult.
ReplyDeleteGreece with a group of my school years ago, with a coach and tents? Or Paris with my best friend, staying at a French family? Or Stockholm with my sister? Or Ireland with my boyfriend? Or the "Canal Nivernais avec mes parents et ma soeur"? I can't decide, but these are my favourites.

ReplyDeleteYay lucky you off on your holidays!Im jealous the furthest I got this year was Donegal lol My fave holiday was in New York, I had been wanting to go pretty much all my life,so when I got to go it was a dream come true.Also as it was a last minute surprize from my hubby i only found out that i was going about 3 days beforehand,so it was extra special.

Love it for the beauty of the decor and ever more beatiful snowlakes. I haven't travelled much to tell you a lot about destinations... My favourite holiday has to be my holidays as a kid in Cornwall. What a beautiful place of the world it is!
One of my favourite placs was Ibiza. I had never wanted to go as i thought it was noisy and full of 18-30's getting drunk, but i went to the east side of the Island and it's just so so pretty and so laid back! Very relaxing place to holiday.

My favourite place is Devon. We spent many holidays here with our 2 girls. Many happy memories, some great, and some not so great weather, and truly beautiful scenery.

I moved away in 2007 and I never thought I'd miss it so much. Funny thing is, the longer I'm gone, the more I miss it. I hope to go back home to visit this year as it's been 2 years since I last went home. I surprised Mom 2 years ago ... was talking to her saying my BF & I were out and that I'd talk her later when she was home after her night out. I showed up at her door to "talk" to her. ^_^

My best holiday so far was the trip trough australia with the kids. We've been there for 10 weeks and had a great time over there. My fav place is the whitsunday beach. That's also in Australia. Very beautiful beach, blue sea, white sand and of course the Great Barriere Reef you can see there.

My first wunderful holiday with my boyfriend was in Italy, Toskana (Siena) The best city in Italy! I love ist so much! But the relaxed holiday was in Mexico, Playa del Carmen. The sun, strand, water....so wunderfull....i love it too!!!!!

The other fab holiday places I have to are Bali (so sunny, wild and the ocean is great!) and Peru, the first place I have ever gone on holidays with my hubby...;-)

My favorite holiday (travel wise) so far was my invitation to England in 1995, when I visited a penpal and spent 10 glorious days touring the north of England and the Roman ruins. My kind of weather. ReplyDeleteMy most favourite holiday was the one 7 years ago when I went to Sardinia for the very first time, I have just got back this week for there, I got married in July and we went over to celebrate our wedding with my Husbands family as this is where he is originally from, Sardinia is one of Italy's beautiful Islands, My 2nd best holiday was Venice a couple of years ago! oh its so hard to say which is best as my Honeymoon was also fantastic and that was in July this year in Paris! My absolut favorite is Tuscany - but since you already love Italy I feel I have to tell you about my second favorite instead which is the island of Gotland on the eastcoast of Sweden. Going there is like going to another world, another time. The little city of Visby is a mediaeval treasure, the local food is amazing, the rockformations will take the breath out of you, the sun always shines (at least it has the most sun hours per year of all Scandinavia(-: the beaches are beautiful and the people so FRIENDLY

The papers look amazing. I have the good fortune to live in the Brecon Beacons which is a very popular holiday destination in Wales however if I choose to go away it would have to be the Lake District or Scotland. A current aim is to holiday in Edinburgh.

ReplyDeleteThe holiday which impressed me most was our trip to Indonesia (Java and Lombok). It was the first time we went without our daughter (then 17 years old) and also the first time we went so far away. The impressions over there were overwhelming. Afterwards we also went to Thailand and the Dutch Antilles.....that was also great but never as great as Indonesia.
Since my hubby has had a coronair operation for the 2nd time we stay closer at home....and we love France, Italy, Spain and Switzerland too...
