a gift...

Good morning everyone...I forgot to tell you when we went on our girlie shopping trip a few weeks back when I got home Phil had painted every pick of wood in the hall...wow now that's good going or the trip was a lot longer than I had intended lol...now 5 hours for three woman shopping for a wedding isn't bad going I think how about you, mind we didn't even have time to stop for a coffee, although my Niece did manage to grab a huge bag of candy floss which we all ended up sharing...I managed to leave my umbrella in a shop and my Daughter nipped back to get it for me and while she was away I managed to lose a bag with her new burgundy coloured jeans in it...panic on hunting about town to see if we could find it and when we didn't I said I would buy her another pair so we headed back to the shop to find when we arrived some lovely kind woman had found the bag in the street and handed it into the shop, which really restored my faith in human nature...what a lovely thing to do isn't it...right now onto my card for today which is using this new stamps from The Greeting Farm...she is called TGF Anya Celebrates and is perfect for any gift giving occasion don't you think...I coloured her with distress inks and paper pieced the gift and used the Glitz 6x6" Paper Pack - Hello Friend for her...this pad is full of soft soft colours...the sentiment is from the same stamp sheet and I finished with a sprinkling of the lush roses from the Flat Back Rose Cabochons - Mixed Bag for embellishments, these are so pretty and cute...everything I used on my card is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...well that's me for another day...whatever your up to today have a wonderful day full of gifts and roses

we should all sparkle now and again...

Good morning everyone did you all have a wonderful Easter weekend, it isn't finished here as today is a public holiday too...well Sunday lunch was the biggest of success, my poor Dad and Daughter have both come down with some mystery virus and felt really rotten (although that could explain why I haven't felt the best for the last few days) they had high temperature and felt ill, so there was a lot of leftover food and lunch was at 2 and everyone had left by 3.20 leaving Phil and me to watch Happy Feet and Jurassic Park before nodding off for a few hours...I hope they are feeling better today the poor things...there's a virus doing the rounds here atm but hopefully not everyone will get it...they all had plans for today too which have had to be shelved...I really feel for them its rotten being not well isn't it...right now onto my card for today which is for our new challenge at the Bunny Zoe's Crafts monthly challenge, our host this month is the fabulous Dorcas and she chose Ribbon or Twine, great choice but instead of my usual ribbon I chose twine...the stunning cute stamp is from The Greeting Farm and is called Glimmer Bean, I paper pieced her cute little outfit and coloured her with distress inks, she suits those colours don't you think...the lush paper is from the Glitz 6x6 Paper Pad Vintage Blue...I'm loving these fabulous Glitz paper pads...the twine is from the Sew Easy Bakers Twine Neutrals set but I dyed it a little with some scattered straw distress inks, I did this by adding a few drops to some water and soaking the twine in it...when it was dry it was tinted yellow...I will definitely tint more like this its a great way of altering the colourway slightly to fit with your colours...I finished with the sparkle sentiment which is from the same GF stamp Glimmer Bean...we should all feel like we sparkle now and again shouldn't we, even if its just us that notices lol...the sketch is from Sweet Stampin but I'm like the cows tail, always behind lol...I missed the deadline for it...I'm entering it for The Cutie Pie Challenge, Anyone for Anya challenge and the ATC's & Cards with attitude challenge...I'm off to the supermarket with my lovely Dad today is hes feeling any better, I don't think its a good idea but he wants to go out for food shopping so will do as I'm told lol...whatever your up to today have a fantastic Easter Monday and when you have time check out the rest of our wonderful DT's work over at Bunny Zoe's Crafts challenge

Good morning everyone I hope your all well and happy...we went to the Docs yesterday and my poor lovely Dad must be so fed up with Doctors offices and hospitals bless him, his liver function is way way way too high and the Doc says hes needs to go to hospital for more tests, a scan and an ultrasound so we just have to wait for an appointment (yet again), the receptionist at the Hospital must think my Dad has shares in the place lol...of course hes still cheerful and we had a giggle sitting reading the 2 year old magazines in the waiting room...he was so gobsmacked at one of the dresses in the mag I was reading and he shouted 'who on earth has £400 to spend on a frock' and everyone looked at him...I started laughing cause he said frock too which made them look harder...he really is such brilliant company and has a wicked sense of humour...I love him to bits...my Sister is coming down today to pick him up to stay at her place for a week...he has fun with her little ones there and there's much more going on around him too...it does him good I think, you all fed up with me worrying about my Dad yet lol...right now onto my card for today, I used the fab Greeting Farm Hoo Loves You set again, I love these gorgeous little owls and the sentiment is from the same set too and would you believe (now don't all faint) no colouring, except for one of the owls yellow beak the owls are paper pieced with these amazingly lush papers from the K & Company Julianne 6x6 paper pad, this pad always inspires me to create it has such beautiful designs in it, everything is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...I cut some of the lush blue roses out for decoration and to finish...the fab sketch is from Sketch Saturday...I'm going to try get a hair appointment today which means a trip to Town, so fingers crossed I get one as I'm getting my busted sofa look back rapidly lol...whatever your up to today have a brilliant one
