Phew that took a long time but finally something is working...right start again, good morning everyone what you up to this weekend?, anything exciting?...Phil's away racing again so I'm on my own but think I might head out to town that's if there's a break in the constant rain....how soggy can a country get do you think?...don't you think its funny that we have to one of the wettest countries in the world yet every year there's hose pipe bans lol...just how much rain do we have to have before the reservoirs are full...I think a lot of it is down to bad maintenance and we have a lot of leaks, story of our lives lol...right now finally onto my card for today which is using this beautiful image from Darcy's Diaries, I love this gorgeous image but cant help feeling its quite a sad image she is called Swinging Blues...I coloured her with distress inks and even coloured the background but its really hard to see...the lush papers I teamed her up with are from the Cosmo Cricket 6" x 6" Mini Deck - Baby Jane I love the colour combo in this pad as its one I normally wouldn't use but it really works...its from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...the punched butterflies and the sentiment are all from the same pad too...I finished with a lushly rich red satin bow...the sketch is from the Just Inspirational Challenge and I'm also entering it for the Cardmadfairy's Digi Days challenge and the Totally Gorjuss challenge too...btw a few of you have asked how the house hunt is coming on...it isn't lol, who knew it was so hard to find something that both of you love but very hard it is, but we are still looking....ssssshhhhh I quite fancy having a look at a 4 bed penthouse apartment overlooking the river but don't tell Phil lol...right I'm off to check out the weather forecast in case I need my bad weather gear for the whole day so I can head out, we women of a certain age rust if we go out for too long in a bad weather you know lol...whatever your up to today I hope you don't end up soggy

baby steps...

Good morning everyone, do you have anything exciting planned for this weekend?...thank you all so so much for all your fantastic Birthday wishes, they brought a huge lump to my throat, your all so nice and thoughtful for your lovely thoughts on my Birthday, it really made it very special...first of all I woke to a dozen red roses and loads of Birthday cards (some had even been touched by the money fairy lol) then my darling Phil took me to lunch then despite the teaming rain we had a little mooch around the shops and he bought me a fab scarf I had my eye on, I hate my neck being cold and always wear a long wrapped round scarf in the winter...our beautiful Daughter and her lovely other half cooked us a meal of Sea Bass, pancetta and sweet potatoes with a garlic, aniseed and olive oil dressed broccoli, it was so delicious, she so takes after her Dad and not me in the kitchen lol...it was a lovely happy family day and I loved it so much...so all in all a brilliant Birthday, all your good wishes must have worked...now for my card for today, how amazing is this sweet little toddler from Mo's Digital Pencil called Walker, she is so fantastic to colour, I used my Distress inks, oh and I had to do a bit more of my favourite paper piecing, I love this technique just in case you hadn't noticed...the lush paper is from K&Co's Classic Bailey kit, I edged the cut pieced with some pearlescent white card and finished with a couple of rub on sentiments, punched butterflies and a stunning white ribbon from Tim Holtz...the fab sketch is from Sketch N Stash challenge and I'm also entering it for the Flutter By Wednesday challenge and Cardmadfairy's digi days challenge...we are off to the shops today and for coffee with my Dad and I'm sure he will need some shopping too...whatever your get up to today have a good one

pink and girly and no more beasties....

Good morning everyone, I hope your all well and enjoying some sunshine...well I did go out yesterday and just managed to get back in through the door when the heavens opened...see told you if I went out it would tiddle down, but I did manage to get some blogging done last night and I really enjoyed it too...many apologies to all those people still running around screaming from last night when I showed you all my wee beastie from the craft room...I think it must have something to do with the warm weather as I had some cereal last night and guess what I found in it...an earwig...I have a thing about earwigs, when I was young we always came to Ireland to stay with our Gran and I remember getting up one morning, hurrying to get dressed and pushing my foot into my shoe feeling something in there and when I tipped it up three earwigs fell out...I had the screaming abdabs and ran around my Grans house completely freaked out so since then earwigs make me squirm, so you can imagine how far I threw the cereal bowl although I wish I had got rid of the earwig before I threw it as I couldn't find it after...uuuurrrrrggghhhhhh...right now onto my card for today which is for our new challenge over at Colour Create challenge, this weeks its our lovely Julies choice of Pink, White and Green with the added option of Cooking (oops I forgot) don't you just love this colour combo its one of my favs...I used this stunning little Nellie C's Flying frog stamp from the new release from Nellie Snellen, I coloured it with distress inks and of course had to add some glitter glue didn't I...well fairies and glitter glue are just meant to be together aren't they...the fab papers are more from the new release Magnolia Sweet Rainbow 6x6 papers these are Dark Pink Rainbow flower and Light Pink Rainbow Flower, the sentiment is a stamp from the Kaisercraft mini stamp set - Friends set (these sets are amazing value), these are all from Bunny Zoe's Crafts and I finished with some lace, ribbon and flowers and punched leaves from my stash, I'm entering this for the Cardmadfairy digi days challenge which is Oh so girly and the Fussy and Fancy Friday summer challenge too...right I'm going to have another craft day today...when you have time pop on over to Colour Create to check out the rest of our wonderful DT's fab creations...have a wonderful creepy crawly free day everyone
