the internet fairy said yes...

Good morning (again)...yes at long last the internet fairy said yes and up popped my photos into my post...I wonder why that happens, I'm sure there's a long technical reason for it but would I understand it I ask myself, so decided to go with the internet fairy theory lol...thank you all so much for the hugs and sympathy yesterday...our wonderful Daughter got there on time and in one piece, shes loving it, so hard and a lot of work but she has always thrived on hard work (takes after her Dad lol)...she rang me last night and was just going to eat at about 8.30pm and then was heading for bed to flake out bless her...see all that worrying and she is brilliant and thriving...the joys of parenthood lol...right now onto my card for today (at long last) I love this fab stamp from Whimsy Stamps dont you...hes perfect for any boys card or any sporty guy card too...hes called Whimsy Basketball and I coloured him a little darker to make him more ethnic looking this time, I'm not 100% sure I managed it though...I used my distress inks for colouring and more of these stunning summery papers from the new Carta Bella - Cool Summer 6x6 Paper Pad...fabulous pastel colours arent they...the sentiment is from the same pad too...the pad and stamp are from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...I finished my card with a few buttons...the fab sketch is from the Here Comes the Boys Challenge and I'm also entering it for the Crafty Sentiments Challenge and the Through The Craftroom Door challenge too...I'm off to the Chiropodist with my lovely Dad today, yes its the one I had to rebook because I got the day wrong...well I have triple checked this time and the day and time are right so I wont have to hang my head in shame hopefully lol...whatever your up to today I hope wherever you are the sun shines on you

they dont have to be red...

Good morning everyone I hope your all well...poor Phil has the sniffles bless him, of course hes blaming me even though mine was the weekend before last just how long does he think I was contagious, it sounds more like an allergy to me than a cold, it could have had something to do with the super spicy salsa he had with his dinner last night you know lol...my Dad enjoyed his dinner and the bit of banter that went with it of course and I think he was a lot happier when he left...we had a little jaunt out as well and did a little shopping and some put the world to rights coffee yesterday afternoon...I think he may have figured out how to get world peace in the space of drinking one cup lol...hes off to my Sister's in Belfast at the weekend which will do him a lot of good and get him away from home for a few days...I hope he comes back refreshed and after spending a couple of days with his youngest grand kids he should have a huge smile on his face...fingers crossed...btw did you check out the winners of my candy I posted last night...I hate drawing winners you know not that I don't like people to win I just hate the thought that others don't, I was the same as a child I couldn't have one teddy or doll in bed I had to have them all because I couldn't bear them being left out, my Mum would come in the night and clear some of them away in case there wasn't room for me lol...right now onto my card for today which is for our new challenge at Crafts & Me Challenge...this time is our lovely Mona's choice and she chose Nontraditional Christmas Colours...now you couldn't get any less traditional than the mix I chose could you, I chose to use this stunning Sara Burrier image from Crafts and Me for my card...she is called Lady Of Amethyst isn't she just beautiful...I coloured her very softly (maybe a little too softly) with distress inks and the amazingly coloured paper is a scrap by Rayher's Classic Collection and is called Multi Stripes...I recycled a flower into some holly leaves and used loads of coloured pearls for the berries (see they don't have to be red do they)...the fab sketch is from Sketch N Stash challenge (my stash was the long forgotten half sheet of paper), I'm also entering it for the Artistic Inspirations challenge and the Crafty Sentiments challenge too...I'm gonna have a chilling day today I think with maybe a bit of cooking and crafting thrown in, I'm gonna make seafood pasta one of Phil's favourites, that should make him forget his sniffles I hope...whatever your up to today have a brilliant one and don't forget to check out the winners post below just in case

theres loads of images with animals for Christmas cards so I was kinda spoilt for choice...so I used one of my all time favourite animal images from Mo...this is the fantastic Bismarck, look at that face isn't he amazing...I coloured him really softly with distress inks and paper pieced that huge bow on his bone...I teamed him up with these lush papers from the Bazzill Basics 6x6" Multipack - Believe I'm totally loving this gorgeous pad from Bunny Zoe's Crafts, the colour combo's are fantastic and so perfectly Christmas...I finished with a big red satin bow...the sketch is from The Sweet Stop challenge and I'm also entering it for the Crafty Sentiments challenge and Bearly-Mine Challenge too...ok now your next stop on our hop is the fabulous
who I'm sure will have something beautiful to show you...don't forget your comments for a chance to win and enjoy your day

never ask a man to choose...

Good morning everyone, hows your week been?, I hope it was a brilliant one...I think I sorted the pink out, isn't it amazing what a bit of old printer paper and some double sided tape can do, well it will do for the time being anyway, not the best but better...all I need now is to sort the room out lol...I managed to get all the holes filled in the bathroom but that's as far as I got...my lovely Dad had to go out so of course what choice did I have but to go with him, well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it...I picked up a catalogue from our local diy store of all the new stuff they are getting in and wow wow wow to their range of wallpapers...I have my eye on three of them for our bedroom, now Phil keeps saying do what you want it doesn't bother me the colour or whatever so I chose what I liked...one has the most amazing pink and blue design on it and it very loud, the second is more muted with a pale washed out grey background and pale pink huge roses and the last is lavender and yellow roses (I cant show you photos yet as they aren't on their website until they stock them)...so I made the big mistake of asking Phil what he thought and which he would chose...apparently he doesn't like any...moral of that tale, don't ask lol but then I was only asking his opinion and will choose the one I want really, wouldn't you?...right now onto my card for today which is using this beautiful Hannah Lynn digi from Crafts and Me, stunning isn't she...this is Monarch Mermaid...I coloured her with my usual distress inks and used this lush yummy paper from Graphic45's The Magic of Oz collection...its called Poppy Fields...I used a wired checked ribbon for the bow and some of the poppies (my favourite flowers) for decorations, the sketch I made up as I went along but I'm entering this for the Crafty Sentiments challenge, Bearly-Mine challenge and the Creative Inspiration challenge...I have my paint brush poised today and I don't mean the craft sort so you know what I will be doing...whatever your up to today have a brilliant one and don't forget if you don't want to know don't ask
