Im not letting go just yet...

Good morning everyone how has your week gone?...anything exciting happened?...mine seems to have flown by in a flurry of washing and ironing lol...a little rant now, are you ready...why on earth do some able bodied people insist on parking in disabled places...its not just inconsiderate but harmful, they are put there for people who cant walk far and need to be closer to shops so why oh why would someone who is quite capable of walking insist on parking in them...I really hope with all my heart they never need them but just once it would be nice to see them get their comeuppance..the stores never seem to have any power to do anything about them either...I was in Florida once and remember seeing a young man pull into a disabled spot and run into a mall only to return to find a sheriff standing guard while his car was hitched to a pick up to be towed away...now that's justice and I had the awful urge from my hotel window to shout 'revenge is sweet' lol, but I didn't...we have to keep the old British reserve going don't we, the reason I mentioned it was the other day I saw a young man and woman pull into a disabled spot, music pumping, she ran inside the store while he proceeded to stand outside his car smoking and wandering around it looking at the paint work...aaaaahhhhhhhhh it makes me so mad...ok little rant over...well it was just a little one today so you can come out from behind your seats the coast it clear lol....right now onto my card for today, I love this Snorkle Boy image from Mo's Digital Pencil don't you...it just screams summer don't you think and I'm refusing to let go of the summer just yet...I coloured him with my usual distress inks and when I saw him I knew exactly what paper I would use for him, it just had to be this lush Magnolia Mythical Ocean 12" x 12" Paper from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...isn't it fab I love Magnolia papers they are great for distressing as it doesn't matter how much you sand or scratch they still look fantastic...I added a glittery swim sentiment made from some letters I found in my stash and finished with buttons from my stash to look like more bubbles...the lush sketch is from the Seems A Little Sketchy Challenge and I'm also entering it for the Shopping Our Stash Challenge and the Party Time Tuesdays Challenge too...I'm off to pack today so wish me luck lol, I have a special something to show you tomorrow, a brand new release blog hop and I have a card to show you on Sunday then I'm taking a few days off while I'm away to give the old mojo a boost...whatever your up to today have a brilliant one

our theme this month is Fruit and I chose the stunning For Teacher Girl digi for my card, I love her dimples and she reminds me so much of my beautiful Daughter when she was at school...I coloured her with my usual distress inks and teamed her up with these gorgeous lush papers from one of the new pads I bought from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...these are from the Teresa Collins 6x6" Paper Pad - Far & Away...aren't they gorgeous...I added some buttons from the Big Red Button pack to the side of my card and because I didn't have any apple embellishments I made one from a button and a couple of leaves to finish

the fab sketch is from Mojo Monday and I'm also entering this for the Card Mania Challenge and the Party Time Tuesday Challenge too...well I'm the last stop on the hop this month so I haven't a link for you to hop too but hope you haven't forgotten your comments along the way for a chance to win...I'm having a day off tomorrow as I'm going to be super busy but will speak to you all on Saturday...well its supermarket day today with my lovely Dad, oh joy of joys lol...the only thing that makes it bearable is my Dad and our 'put the world to rights' coffee...whatever your up to today I hope you get to spend some of with someone you love

I love red hair...

Good morning everyone are you enjoying sun or showers?...well I got my appointment with the surgeon but isn't it sods law that the first appointment I was given was 2nd July and I have just booked the hotel and Phil booked his time off for going away lol...I got a letter to ring for an appointment and the lovely receptionist and yes she really was nice, friendly and helpful said 2nd July...oops says I, cant do the 2nd we will be away then, ok she says 4th July...oops cant do that either...ok she says how about the 9th...brilliant we have a winner lol, they are like buses you wait ages for one then loads come along at once...so I'm seeing the surgeon on the 9th July, I'm going to talk to him to see if I have to have surgery or if there's something else that can be done instead, surgery is just very final isn't it and if there are any side effects from it are bad then I would rather try some other things first...but I will see what he has to say first before I decide...right now onto my card for today...how stunning is the hair on this fantastic Whiff Of Joy Girls Rule stamp...she is amazing to colour with my distress inks, I have a thing for red hair (Phil had hair this colour when we first met) so she had to have red hair especially with these beautiful papers from the Kaisercraft - Miss Empire 6.5"x6.5" Paper Pad, the tag under the bow is from the same pad too...I added a bow made from beautiful Organza Ribbon - Orange (25mm Wide) and finished with a lush rose from the Kaisercraft Paper Blooms - Sage (10pcs) pack...everything I used on my card today is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...the fab sketch is from the Sweet Stop Challenge and I'm also entering it for the Party Time Tuesdays Challenge and the Ladybug Crafts Ink TLT Challenge too...I'm heading out today, well that's the plan anyway...I would like a new skirt to go with a top Phil bought me a while back for our break away so wish me luck finding one...its always the same isn't it, when your looking for something in particular you can never find it...sods law strikes again lol...whatever your up to today I hope you manage to get out and about and have some fun

am I dreaming...

Good morning everyone...is it a bird, is it a plane...no I do believe its the sun...we had wall to wall sun shine yesterday and the temperature actually sneaked into double figures (only just mind lol)...I spend a lovely afternoon meant to be crafting but actually sitting in my office chair soaking up the sun shining through the window dreaming of summer days and the smell of flowers...isn't it strange how obsessed we British are with the weather...do you think its because our weather is so changeable or maybe its just we like to have something to moan about lol...anyway I did manage a little bit of a play yesterday and managed some colouring too...with that and the sun I really enjoyed my crafting afternoon...right now for the card I did make yesterday...how stunning is this Funky Kits Digi...I love these Sugar Nellie Simply Adorable's don't you and never get tired of colouring them...this is the beautiful Melissa, I think she has a real ethereal feel to her (oooohhhh big word for this early isnt it lol)...shes so beautifully soft isn't she...I coloured her with my usual distress inks and used some papers from the stunning Prima Tea Thyme paper pad I got ages ago from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...the softness of the colours really suit her don't you think...I finished with a pink seam binding bow and a large pink flower...the lush sketch is from the Tuesday morning Sketches Challenge and I'm also entering it for the brand new A Little Bit Crafty Challenge and the Party Time Tuesday Challenge too...I think I might either head into town today or spend another 'crafting' day today...I will hopefully actually get a lot more crafting done today though...are craft rooms the best place to craft do you think, isn't there a lot of distractions crammed into one place and way to much to play with lol...whatever your up to today have a brilliant one and I hope you manage to get some sun on you wherever you are

Good morning everyone are you all having a good week?...I forgot to show what we found at the weekend...this stunning place is literally around the corner from us how amazing is that...Phil shot these stunning photos...I think we have a budding photographer in the family don't you?

there's a University very close by us and this is part of the grounds attached to it...we also found some fabulously huge holly trees with loads of berries and birds...its stunning

we went out for coffee yesterday and a little bit of shopping but I still haven't a clue what to get Phil, I would get him a new camera but I bought him one last year and he uses mine for photos he really wants to take...I'm beginning to panic now, I know exactly what I'm getting everyone except my Dad and Phil ...aaaarrrrgggghhhhhhhh help....right now onto my card for today which is for our new challenge at Crafts and Me challenge...this time is our lovely Sara's choice and she chose Ribbon or Trim...so now I don't need told twice to use ribbon do I lol...I haven't made an easel card for ages so decided I would use this stunning Sara Burrier digi called Perched at Dawn from Crafts & Me.and make one...isn't it stunning, I coloured it with distress inks and turned the bird into a Robin, I'm not sure I got the colouring right as I was trying to copy the robins on the bird table outside but they are ssssoooooo fast lol

I glittered her wings and teamed her up with these amazing papers from the Glitz Joyeaux Noel paper pad...I love the subtle shades and patterns in this pad...I bought it from Bunny Zoe's Crafts but its out of stock atm...I finished with some lush holly twill ribbon from Kars and a couple of pearls...the lush sketch is from Chocolate, Coffee & Cards challenge and I'm also entering it for the City Crafter challenge, A & T Emerald Faeries challenge and the Party Time Tuesday challenge too...I'm having a craft day today as theres loads of stuff I need to catch up on and any excuse not to think about Christmas presents for a while lol...whatever your up to today have a fantastic one

Good morning everyone I hope your all well and happy...I had every intention of getting ready early and heading into town but the best laid plans and all that...I got caught up with chores and doing a bit of surfing and tidying and before I knew it was 1pm so I headed for the shower and got dressed with the war paint on then Phil rang to say he was coming home early and did I need to go to the shops...so instead of my Christmas present shopping and mooch around the shops I ended up grocery shopping...exciting eh lol...oh well we did get something nice for dinner and had a little look around the supermarket and bought loads of Christmas food goodies (just to try out of course lol)...in fact we only went for bread and a couple of essentials and I ended up spending £30, that will teach me to go to the supermarket with a hungry man in tow wont it, its amazing what jumps into your trolley when you aren't looking...right now onto my card for today how stunningly beautiful is this Kenny K beauty...Santa will be pleased to find her waiting for him beside his sleigh wont he lol, she is called On Vixen I coloured her with distress inks and teamed her up with this amazing double sided paper from My Minds Eye Holly Jolly Collection...its called Candy Canes and is brilliant for this beauty isn't it...I finished with a stamped sentiment, I used part of the name band of the paper to stamp on and added some beautiful flowers, I cant remember what these are called but I know I bought them at Bunny Zoe's Crafts just before last Christmas...the fab sketch is from Mojo Monday I love their sketches don't you, they always make me think about the design of the card, I'm also entering it for the Party Time Tuesdays challenge and Heart 2 Heart challenges too...my lovely Dad is back from Belfast today, I was texting my Sister yesterday and she said he had a fabulous weekend and has enjoyed his visit so I hope he is rested and happy...these coming weeks are very difficult for him, my Mums Birthday would have been the 25th and the anniversary of her passing is the 13th December...its a hard time for all of us but of course especially him, my heart goes out to him and I feel his pain...I'm sure we will be heading out for put the world to rights coffee so watch the headlines lol...whatever your up to today have a fabulous one

oh no that pink has to go...

Good morning everyone I hope your all well...well I managed to make a card but then where to photograph it, isn't it strange that you have a certain place your used to doing something but then finding a new one with the same light etc is really hard...ok one of the shelves in my new craft room would be perfect so I took them, then when I was doing this post I realised...oh no that pink on the walls so has to go, it has washed all the colours out of my image and given it a strange dirty look...never mind we live and learn don't we lol...I got my paint for the bathroom yesterday, I chose Olive Green but think that blue may need a coat of white before I even attempt it...we also needed a new toilet seat not glamorous but essential when the other is a bit icky...the young fellow in the shop got the one I wanted really huge box and heavy, would I like a bag he asked...no thanks says I...are you sure your ok carrying that to your car without a bag...then it just dawned on me the lovely young man thought I would be embarrassed carrying a toilet seat bless him...its ok I said I have long ago got past the age a toilet seat in public would worry me, well not unless I was sitting on it at the time anyway...he liked that lol...right now onto my weird coloured card for today, how super cute is this little fellow from Mo's Digital Pencil...hes called Fall Fairy Jesen...I coloured him with my distress inks and used some of this lush new pad called Studio Calico 6x6 Paper Pad - Heyday, its from Bunny Zoe's Crafts and I love that lush orange number paper don't you...I finished with a fab orange bow and pumpkin charm and a ceramic sentiment from my stash...the lush sketch is from The Sweet Stop challenge and I'm also entering it for the Simon Says Stamp challenge and Party Time Tuesday challenge too...well I'm not back in full swing with crafting yet but I will do my best so will be back tomorrow as usual...I'm off to fill holes in my bathroom wall before my first coat of paint...oh a quick question has anyone seen any of those lush flowered towels like Cath Kidson's but without the price tag, I refuse to pay a fortune for something to wipe my face on lol...whatever your up to today have a brilliant one, oh and if you see anyone carrying a toilet seat just ignore them lol

bobbing along - Mo's Digital Pencil DT

Good morning everyone, did you all have a good day yesterday, mine was one of those days when you wish you could start again, I spilt a cup of coffee over three finished cards, then my Dad picked me up to go for coffee and when we arrived I didn't have my debit card and wanted to do shopping, so off we trekked back to my house and I couldn't find it anywhere, luckily Dad had extra money on him...I hunted the house from top to bottom, I could remember where I last had it and could remember having it in my hand but could I remember what I had done with it...nope...I even opened up a bin bag full of rubbish...yuck...so decided to forget it for a while and went to do some ironing for our holiday, I was folding shirts and guess what dropped out...yep...now how on earth did it get there...I'm sure I have a gremlin who plays tricks on me lol...and today I'm getting my hair cut, I hate having my hair cut and find it as stressful as the dentists...I think its that thing of having someone else in control...phew rant over...now my card for today which thankfully doesn't have coffee on it, how cute and adorable is this little Waiting for Rain image from Mo's Digital Pencil, I couldn't resist her now could I...I coloured her with distress inks and put just a teeny bit of glitter on to make it look like she was wet, I'm not sure it worked though...the amazing papers are from Echo Park from their Little Boy range and is called Sailboats, wouldn't you think it was made for this image. I cute some of the boats out to finish the Sketch and Stash Challenge which is a free choice so I chose sketch 33, my stash is my papers and image...I finished with a few buttons...I'm also entering this for the Allsorts April Showers challenge and the Party Time Tuesday Anything goes challenge...right I'm going to remake my three cards and then head to the hairdressers, wish me luck...have a brilliant day everyone
