a touch too much...

Good morning everyone, I hope your all well and fully recovered from the holidays, have you started creating yet, I think I'm just starting to get back into the swing of things...but my colouring is just a tad off...it doesn't help when you decide on a crafting session and the bulb goes in your craft room, could I heck find another one and it was so dark yesterday...hence the just a tad too much antique linen on this poor cuties face...she looks a little jaundiced I think poor little thing lol...but I'm off to the shops today so a pack of light bulbs will be my first priority so normal colours should be resumed as soon as possible...poor Phil came home early from work yesterday as he wasn't feeling too well...which is a bit worrying as he is normally as healthy as a horse and doesn't ever catch anything...from what he was telling me it sounded like a migraine he had but I'm hoping its nothing else as hes doesn't do sick and makes a real fuss on the rare occasions he isn't feeling good lol...hes off to work today so hopefully hes feeling better but he did sleep an awful lot last night and theres loads of man flu going around too...keep your fingers crossed for him...oh and me of course lol...right now onto my poor little jaundiced sweetie for today...she is the gorgeous Whimsy Amy from Whimsy Stamps...isn't she cute, I coloured her with my usual distress inks and teamed her up with these lush coloured papers from the My Mind's Eye - Honey Cake 6x6 Pad...fab aren't they and perfect for her too...I finished with a stamped sentiment from the Morehead Acrylic Stamp Set - Blossom set, a few pearls and a stunning metal flower from Prima which I bought ages ago...everything I used is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...the fab sketch is from Tuesday Morning Sketches and I'm also entering it for the Crafty Creations challenge and the Divas by Design challenge too...I'm off out with my lovey Dad today everything is back to normal so its supermarket day...whatever your up to today I hope its more exciting than mine lol

listen for the sirens...

Good morning everyone...well the busted sofa look has gone thank goodness and at least I'm tidy and presentable for our holidays much to Phil's relief...thank you all so so much for the lovely comments on the house photos yesterday, you all seem to really like what we are doing...btw for the couple of people who mentioned it the sofas aren't leather they are like a tweedy type fabric...oh btw when I was leaving for the hairdressers yesterday guess what happened the front door lock broke, it was just spinning and wouldn't lock at all, luckily Phil had replaced the glass in the porch door (remember he had to smash when I got locked out) and it has bolt locks inside so at least I got out...I think we have a lock gremlin lurking in the skirting boards waiting to see which one he can sabotage next lol...my Dad keeps telling people that he was cheeky to me and I gave him the black eye before laughing and saying that he did it on the car door...I fully expect the police to arrive to arrest me for assault so am listening for the sirens, he thinks its hilarious lol...right now onto my card for today...I must admit I have a real soft spot for these gorgeous Morehead stamps...now look at that hat and the cut dungarees, how cute is she...this is part of the Morehead Acrylic Stamp Set - Raindrops set and the sentiment is from the same set too...I used more of my favourite pad, I love this Carta Bella - Beautiful Moments 6x6 Paper Pad and I'm going to be gutted when its all used up...the little banner I stamped onto is cut from the same pad too...I finished with some lush white satin trimmed organza ribbon and a bow, a rose from the Flat Back Rose Cabochons - Mixed Bag and a few gems from the Mixed Bag Clear Flat Acrylic Round Gems - 3mm, 4mm & 5mm...everything expect the ribbon is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...the fab sketch is from Sketch Saturday and I'm also entering it for the Bearly-mine challenge and Try it on Tuesday challenge too...right I'm finishing my posts for while I'm away, oh and btw I will have more candy on offer on Sunday after the newest candy finishes...whatever your up to listen for the sirens then follow as fast as possible to get me out lol

its still Summer...

Good morning everyone, how was your weekend?...well the sofas are bought and it isn't the ones I wanted or the colour I was the keenest on but there's method in my madness, they were my second choice and I still love them but I let Phil have his way and now the next dozen things I want for the house I wont hear a peep out of him about...see method lol...I have a mood board made for the living room but as my post is photo heavy today I will post it tomorrow...of course that's if you want to see it, I don't want to bore you all rigid bleating on about the new house you know...although I'm getting so excited about it now and might have a couple of excited girlie screams you know lol...dinner last night was cooked by our beautiful Daughter and her other half, it was chicken, porcini mushrooms, white wine and cream with carrots and mash...omg it was fantastically tasty and was so welcome with us running around like headless chickens its fantastic not to have to stop to cook a meal...she can defo come again to cook that lol...right now enough waffle onto my card for today which is for our new Challenge over at Bunny Zoe's Crafts

this month is my choice of theme and i chose Summer...so anything summery or summer colours or image...let your imagination go wild...I chose to use this amazing sweetie from the Morehead Acrylic Stamp Set - Blossom isn't she just fabulous look at that adorable face, I coloured her with distress inks and teamed her up with some paper from the stunning Prima 6x6" Paper Pad - Romance Novel (including the paper piecing), the little tag and envelope are from the same pad too...I finished her with a stunning yellow organza ribbon and some flowers which are Mini Tulips - Yellow Lily Rose - Cream and Open Rose-Gold Orange , everything except the ribbon is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts

its rare for me to be completely happy with a card I make but I'm so chuffed with this one, it turned out exactly how I imagined it in my head, do you know what I mean...the sketch I made as I went along but I'm entering this for the Simon Says Stamp challenge, Paper Crafting Journey Challenge and the No Matter Which Challenge too...I'm finishing some packing today, theres no rest for the wicked lol, whatever your up to have a wonderful one, when you have time pop on over to the Bunny Zoe's Crafts Challengeto see what the rest of our lush team came up with
