you ready to hop...

Good morning everyone I hope your all safe and well...boy are we having a storm and a half here its blowing so hard I expect my patio pots to come flying through my kitchen window at any second...its funny I don't usually mind bad weather (but of course being British I have a good old moan about it lol) and love to watch a good thunder and lightening storm but wind like this scares the wits out of me...fingers crossed it goes away soon...right are you all enjoying our Mo's Digital Pencil Dreamteams monthly blog hop then?...you should have arrived her from the super talented
blog but if you didn't you just need to pop on over to the wonderful Anneke's blog to start at the beginning...and of course don't forget your comments along the way so you have a chance to win one of two $5 store credits for Mo's Digital Pencil...our theme this month is Seniors so we had to use one of Mo's amazing older people digi's, there so many to choose but I love Mummu so chose Mummu's Letters for my card...shes fabulous isn't she

I coloured her monochromatic with my distress inks and paper pieced her dress as I wanted to give her an old photo sepia kinda feel...what do you think? did it work...the beautiful papers are from the Basicgrey Little Black Dress 6x6 paper pad I bought years ago from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...the fab little sentiment is from another Mo's Digital Pencil digi called Serious Sharon...I finished my card with a lush sepia coloured organza ribbon bow, a flower and a plaster keyhole (from a bargain 99p Melissa Francis set I bought)...the next stop on our hop is the fabulously talented
JAK
I made the sketch up as I went along but am entering this for the BasicGrey Challenge, Divas By Design Challenge and Crafty Creations Challenge too...I'm off out with my Dad today and will cling on to him just in case one of us blows away lol...whatever your up to today have a great one and don't forget your comments for a chance to win

not quite right...

Good morning everyone how are you all...well I hope no sniffles or colds?  theres loads of them going round atm...we went for our put the world to rights coffee yesterday so watch the news for all the worlds problems being solved and joy and happiness to descend on us all...my wonderful Dad could sort everything out no problem lol...well I say everything he managed to lose his gloves and we had to go looking for them so maybe not lost gloves lol...its usually me that loses things like that I have a fantastic soft leather pair of gloves I bought many moons ago in Venice and I love them to bits (well I have two pairs actually one pink pair but the black ones are my favs), I have lost count of how many times I have dropped them, I have a habit of putting them on my lap when I'm in the car forget they are there and leaving them in puddles or snow lying beside the car...I think that's why they have lasted so long, they have been soaking wet many many times and they look brand new and are super soft because of it...so if you have a pair of leather gloves that need softened you know what to do lol...right my card for today...you know when you colour something and your not happy with it, something is just not quite right...well that's how I feel about today's image...its a beautiful one from MayzyArt and is called Freckles Mermaid...shes brilliant isn't she...I coloured her with distress inks as always but I think I'm not happy with how the beigey pinky colour in her tail etc turned out...it looks too flesh coloured...do you know what I mean...anyway its a good excuse to use her again and be finally happy with the result...the lush papers are a few loose sheets from my ever growing pile of them...I know they are Prima but haven't a clue which collection they are from...I finished with some punched butterflies, a soft blue organza ribbon bow, a teeny sentiment charm and a few scattered gems from the Mixed Bag Clear Flat Acrylic Round Gems - 3mm, 4mm & 5mm...I know I bought the Prima pad from Bunny Zoe's Crafts and the Gems are from there too...the fab sketch is from the Sunday Sketch & Stamp Challenge and I'm also entering it for the Divas By Designs Challenge and Sketchy Colors Challenge too...I'm making a cheesecake today but remembered to buy some icing sugar so there wont be any gritty bits lol...whatever your up to today have fun

a touch too much...

Good morning everyone, I hope your all well and fully recovered from the holidays, have you started creating yet, I think I'm just starting to get back into the swing of things...but my colouring is just a tad off...it doesn't help when you decide on a crafting session and the bulb goes in your craft room, could I heck find another one and it was so dark yesterday...hence the just a tad too much antique linen on this poor cuties face...she looks a little jaundiced I think poor little thing lol...but I'm off to the shops today so a pack of light bulbs will be my first priority so normal colours should be resumed as soon as possible...poor Phil came home early from work yesterday as he wasn't feeling too well...which is a bit worrying as he is normally as healthy as a horse and doesn't ever catch anything...from what he was telling me it sounded like a migraine he had but I'm hoping its nothing else as hes doesn't do sick and makes a real fuss on the rare occasions he isn't feeling good lol...hes off to work today so hopefully hes feeling better but he did sleep an awful lot last night and theres loads of man flu going around too...keep your fingers crossed for him...oh and me of course lol...right now onto my poor little jaundiced sweetie for today...she is the gorgeous Whimsy Amy from Whimsy Stamps...isn't she cute, I coloured her with my usual distress inks and teamed her up with these lush coloured papers from the My Mind's Eye - Honey Cake 6x6 Pad...fab aren't they and perfect for her too...I finished with a stamped sentiment from the Morehead Acrylic Stamp Set - Blossom set, a few pearls and a stunning metal flower from Prima which I bought ages ago...everything I used is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...the fab sketch is from Tuesday Morning Sketches and I'm also entering it for the Crafty Creations challenge and the Divas by Design challenge too...I'm off out with my lovey Dad today everything is back to normal so its supermarket day...whatever your up to today I hope its more exciting than mine lol

your on the right track...if not and you want to join in the hop pop on over to our KERTTU'S blog to start at the beginning

Kerttu's choice of theme this month was to make a card with a gift inside...hhhmmmmm well I thought and thought and finally came up with this contraption...its kinda a card but more a tube of card...its two sheets of card with a slight bow in them to make a hollow in the middle for the beautiful necklace gift in the middle...I chose the stunning Winter Window digi and used one of the images from one of my all time favourite sets, the Ragged Carolers, I love these beautiful three images dont you..I coloured them with distress inks and glittered the snow and ice...well its Christmas and you have to have a bit of glitter dont you...I also cut the windows out so you could see the necklace gift hanging

the stunning Christmas papers and sentiment tag are from the Kaisercraft - Turtle Dove 6.5"x6.5" Paper Pad from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...gorgeously vintage and traditional arent they...I finished with a beautiful ribbon bow and a flower from my stash...the next stop on the hop is the fabulous
who is sure to have something fantastic to show you...enjoy the hop and dont forget to leave comments on our wonderful teams blogs...Im entering this for the Whimsy Stamps challenge, Divas By Design challenge and the Nutcrafters challenge too...whatever your up to today have a good one and enjoy the rest of the hop

its beginning to look a lot like......

Good morning everyone...I bet your singing now or at the very least humming lol...its is though isn't it beginning to feel a lot like Christmas it has that crisp frosty feel in the air...did you have a great Halloween, I'm gobsmacked at how much difference it has made just moving a few miles to where we are now...I went out to the local shops yesterday and about 6 people spoke to me saying hello just or nice day etc, but in fact more people spoke to me yesterday than in the whole time we lived in the other house it wasn't for lack of trying either, you know me I will speak or chat to anyone (its the Geordie blood in me lol) but people were so unfriendly I lived next door to the same woman for over two years and she still used to snub me when I saw her in Town and never replied to my hello's or anything, and we had about a dozen trick or treaters last night , . Last year we had one...it was lovely seeing a gang of them coming from a house down the street who were having a kids Halloween party, complete with a smoke machine and inflatable ghosts...I answered the door to about 8 of them all dressed up and cute as a button...all their parents were there too to make sure they were safe which was lovely too...its so friendly here I'm so so glad we moved...right now onto my card for today which is using another of the fab new digi releases from Sugar Nellie, this is the gorgeous My Friend Flakey, I coloured him with distress inks and used another lush paper from the My Minds Eye Winter Wonderland collection, this one is called In The Neighbourhood...I cut some of the fabulous houses out to add a bit more dimensions and finished with a couple of punched snowflakes and a sentiment made from the name strip on the paper (see we crafters throw nothing away do we lol)...I'm entering this for the ABC Christmas challenge, Divas by Design challenge and the Just Keep on Crafting challenge too...Its supermarket day today oh and my lovely Dad has to go buy some reading glasses because although he has the eyesight of a spring chicken since his ops he still needs them to read...I might even manage to persuade him to have his hearing checked while we are the opticians, fingers crossed...then I think its time for a put the world to rights coffee, it needs it doesn't it...whatever your up to today say hello to a neighbour you will never know how much they appreciate it
