rocker...

Good morning everyone I hope your all well and had a fabulous weekend, it was supposed to be cold here yesterday but we decided to head for a boot sale and while we were there it was very warm and sunny which is fantastic unless you took notice of the weathermen and dressed for the cold, five minuets in and I was ready to strip it all off lol...we had a great time mooching but the only thing I saw I loved was a really funky 60's coffee set, you know the type, tall and angular but they wanted too much for it and wouldn't budge on the price so I gad to just walk away, we went and got Phil some Cuban food to sample, which he loved...after that we had our beautiful Daughter and other half round for dinner, two days back and she is loaded with a cold the poor thing...but it meant they didn't have to cook so they enjoyed their dinner...right now onto my card today which is for our new challenge at Bunny Zoe's Crafts monthly Challenge...this month it was my choice of theme and I chose...Ribbon...and every single thing I used on my card is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...this cute little fella is from Bildmalarna...isn't he just gorgeous...hes called Mimo rocking horse and I coloured him with my distress inks and paper pieced his little outfit (any excuse for more cutting out lol) and added some glitter using Stickles Glitter Glue - Star Dust, I also used another stamp for the banner across the ribbon its the Bildmalarna - Mini Christmas banner cut out and raised up to make it look 3d...well 3d ish anyway lol...the fabulously yummy papers are from the lush Echo Park - Reflections Christmas 6x6 Paper Pad...perfect colours for Christmas aren't they...I added a ruffled bow made with Gingham Wired Edge Gold Thread Ribbon - Green, I finished with three pendants from the Wooden Flourishes - Pennants FL441 set covered in paper from the pad, a few scattered pearls from the Mixed Bag of 3mm Flat backed Pearls and the cutest little charms from the 5 x Snowflake 6 Charms (B024-W) bag...the fab sketch is from the Try Stampin' On Tuesday Challenge and I'm also entering it for the Card Crafter's Circle Challenge and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge too...I haven't a clue what I'm up to today, the weather is supposed to be ok but I don't need to go out so might just fit in some crafting instead of heading out...whatever your up to have a brilliant one

its amazing what air can do...

Good morning everyone, yes I can finally post...guess what it was wrong with my precious laptop...it was overheating, the fan wasn't working enough and every time it overheated it cut out...so off I went to the shop and bought a can of spray air cleaner...I wasn't brave enough to take my laptop to pieces mind lol...so I did a bit of research and pointed the air can in the right direction and after the cloud of black bits had cleared I did it again and bobs your Uncle its working brilliantly...I think it would be much better if the back was removed and it was done properly but I had visions of all these bits left over when I put it back together so didn't dare lol...well how have you all been, did you have a good weekend?...our was quiet except for getting our Daughters washing dried in time for her and her lovely other half to get on their flight to Amsterdam this morning...they are off to spend five days in a city centre apartment and I hope they have the best time ever...besides from the drying panic our weekend was very very quiet...we hardly even went out actually, it was one of those weekends when you cant think of anywhere to go...right now for my card for today...now look at that perfect little face, who else could draw this but Mo from Mo's Digital Pencil...I think you can spot Mo's images anywhere don't you...this is the beautiful First Fish (Girl), there's a boy version of this cutie too...I used distress inks for colouring and teamed her up with these beautifully coloured papers from the Echo Park This & That Charming 6x6 paper pad, I bought this ages ago from Bunny Zoe's Crafts but I think its out of stock atm...I finished with some wooden letters for the girl word, gorgeous cute spotty ribbon and of course a few buttons, I think you would probably all faint if I made a card without buttons wouldn't you lol...the lush sketch is from the Card Crafter's Circle Challenge and I'm also entering it for the Crafty Catz challenge and the Creative Fingers Challenge too...I'm spending the day with our Daughters cat, I must see if I can get a photo of her, I call her sumo cat, she is huge and so fluffy I usually spend a week after they come back from holidays getting rid of cats hairs...maybe I should buy some Immac lol (just kidding)...whatever your up to today don't forget a bit of jet propelled air does you the world of good lol. have a good one

something not quite right...

Good morning everyone...are you all having a fab weekend?...right now quick question for you all, does this seem right to you, today is my birthday and I'm making dinner for everyone tonight...now isn't it supposed to be me sitting doing nothing and being waited on not the other way round lol. theres something not quite right about that situation isn't there?...well all the white stuff disappeared by mid morning here yesterday but we still didn't head for the car boot sale, it was freezing cold and we really didn't want to walk around teeth chattering, it kinda puts you off bargain hunting doesn't it...instead we went shopping for our dinner tonight...I'm cooking Chicken cacciatore, garlic mash, green beans and orange cheesecake with an Oreo base for dessert...sounds good doesn't it, even if I do say so myself...well all I can say is they better make up for the lack of being waited on with some amazing gifts lol, I'm just joking though I'm more than happy with a family dinner and not really bothered about gifts...I thank my lucky stars that I have so many of my loved ones around me to share dinner with...right now onto my card for today which is using another winter stamp although I used it a bit differently...this stunning beauty is by Hannah Lynn and is called Whimsical Winter and its from Crafts and Me...I coloured her with distress inks, I tried to make her dress look like it was velvet but I don't know if I managed it or not...what do you think?...I used these stunningly coloured summery papers from the Kaisercraft - Secret Admirer 6.5"x6.5" Paper Pad aren't they just lush and they make you want to sit in the sun smelling flowers (the sentiment circle is from the same pad), I bought this from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...I finished my card with a gorgeous coloured satin ribbon bow and a flower cut from the paper...I haven't a clue where the sketch is from I found it scribbled on a note pad...I am entering this for the Paper Crafting Journey challenge, Sweet 'n' Sassy digi challenge and the Card Crafters Circle challenge too...right I'm off to make my cheesecake as it take four hours to chill...oh before I go did you all like yesterdays post? should I do it every Saturday I would love to know what you think...wherever you are and whatever your up to today have a fun filled one

Santa baby....

Good morning everyone have you anything exciting planned for the weekend....poor Phil has to work, he says he will be home by 2pm but as he started at 6am he will be so tired I don't think we will be going far, so it might be a lazy afternoon with me crafting and Phil dozing in front of the tv...and who can blame him...we went to change my Dads glasses yesterday and the conversation started with 'my leg fell off' lol...it was sorted though and of course they changed them no problem...I really should do some decorating today and tomorrow, everything in the house was kinda put on hold with holidays and weddings and everything and its so hard to get the momentum going again isn't it, but it needs done before Christmas...well I suppose the bedrooms could wait but the stairs and staircase need done now, the carpet is rank, its a really badly faded pale grey colour, very dirty and marked and the staircase is a mishmash of colours of wood, so I think a new carpet as we decided that painted stairs would be very noisy and maybe a bit cold...the rails on the staircase will be vintage cream and the original banister is going to be sanded down and polished to a high gloss...so you see I really need to start it don't I...what I need is someone to give me a quick boot up the bot and give me a shove...any volunteers...ok don't all rush together now form an orderly queue lol...right now onto my card for today, this stunningly sexy Christmas beauty is from Kenny K and is called Bow, there's an adult version of her too where she is wearing nothing but the bow and a smile...but you never know where this card will end up and I didn't think an aged Uncle or similar would stand the excitement lol...I coloured her with distress inks and used two different papers to paper piece her outfit...they are both from the same My Mind's Eye - All is Bright 6x6 Pad, I finished with some bunting cut from the same pad, a huge red satin bow and a couple of flowers from the Blossoms - Resin Flower Bluebell set, I love these super cute resin flowers they are small but so perfect...the pad and flowers are from Bunny Zoe's Crafts the fab sketch is from Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge and I'm also entering it for the Mema's Crafts challenge and Card Crafter's Circle challenge too...right I'm off to sit and have a coffee while I stare at paint pots lol...whatever your up to today have a brilliant one and I hope you manage a fabulous trip out

be careful what you ask for...

Good morning everyone, did you have a fabulous day yesterday?...anything exciting, go on tell us all and make us jealous lol...we went out for lunch and a little teeny bit of shopping, I didn't find any curtains, well that's not kinda true I narrowed it down to four...oh no wheres another woman when you need one lol...we went into a little shop in town to get some stuff to feed the wild birds, there's hundreds here and I love watching them so what better way than to feed them...I know it sounds kinda bad but the best things to feed them in winter are Fat Balls which is a mix of fruit, seeds and fat that they need for the winter...but when I went into the shop I couldn't find them but there was no way I was going to ask a male assistant if he had any fat balls lol...so I sent Phil instead, he came back knowing where they were and after a min or two I asked him did you really ask him where they were, no he says I asked where the wild bird food was as they are beside them...now why the hell didn't I think of that duh lol...right now onto my card for today which is using this stunning Crafts and Me Hannah Lynn digi called Summers Day, shes stunning but makes me feel cold looking at her she needs a fleece and some woolly socks on I think lol...I used my usual distress inks to colour her and a stunning Bo Bunny paper called Smoochable Huggable...lush colours aren't they...I finished with a pink gingham bow and some hearts cut from the paper...I'm entering this for the Card Crafter's Circle challenge and the Clearly Inspired challenge too...we haven't anything planned for today except I'm going to make some chicken and vegetable soup for all the family to enjoy on Monday, its one of their favourites and goes really well with crusty bread for a winter dinner...so I will be up to my elbow in vegetables...whatever your up to today have a great warm toasty day

consider it hexed...

Good morning everyone are you all well?...thank goodness Phil got home earlier than we thought so of we popped out for lunch then up to the craft shop for the wedding ribbon and you will never guess what...I only bought the ribbon...ok now don't all faint at once lol...mind I had just received a parcel of goodies I bought from Bunny Zoe's Crafts so didn't really need anything, you will be seeing some of those new goodies next week...cant wait to get my scissors cutting into some of the papers I bought...and you will not believe it but it rained all day, yes I know shock horror how unusual is that lol...my card for today is me putting a hex on the rain, its been hexed to go away and bring the sun...let me know if it works you never know I could rent myself out for all sorts of hexing lol...I used this beautiful little boy from Mo's digital pencil, its from her new Summer Kids collection and this little fella is the Straight Haired Boy version...of course I didn't just get him and you will see another one soon...they so remind me of holiday with our beautiful Daughter, she travelled everywhere with us from she was 6 months old...she had a floppy eared dog soft toy who travelled everywhere with us and had its own little name and address tag, just in case, she never ever left it anywhere...I still have the torn and worn with love Sally in my memories box under my bed...do you have a memory box like that?...anyway back to my card, the amazingly colourful paper is from Echo Park's Summer Days collection called Quilt, perfect summery colours aren't they, I finished with some cheapo foam letters that were in pink but colour brilliantly and a selection of buttons to match the papers...the fab sketch is from The Sweet Stop challenge and I'm also entering it for the Card Crafters Circle challenge and the Crafty Calender Challenge...I have a lot of ribbon and lace cutting to do today so don't think we will be straying farm but then you never know do you...whatever your up to today have a brilliant one and keep an eye on the sky in case my hex works lol

grey can be sexy too...

Good morning everyone do you have anything going on this weekend?...anything exciting to make us all jealous with...my lovely Dad didn't come home yesterday and decided to stay at my Sisters for a few more days...ever had one of those ideas that a few hours later you wish you hadn't had, well I decided to get the bus to Town for a little mooch, so I got myself ready which seems to take longer the older I get maybe its the polyfilla lol, war paint sorted and everything I stood in the freezing wind for 15 minuets and then realised I didn't have any cash on me (I'm like the Queen don't carry cash lol) so traipsed home to find some, didn't find any so rang a taxi but had to wait twenty mins for that then stop at the cashpoint on the way...hows that for an epic journey to go 3 miles, it would have been faster to walk lol...I did all my shopping in Town and bought some food in M&S in the way to the bus stop in time for the 3.30 bus home only to find it has been cancelled and there wasn't another until 4.45 aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh...it ended up with Phil picking me up on his way home as he got to me before the bus...seriously this is the 21st century isn't it and how hard is it to have a cheap regular public transport system, you can see why I don't often use it cant you...right now onto my card for today which just goes to prove that even a grey haired beauty like the stunning Blanche from Saturated Canary can look sexy, I very rarely do CAS cards but this stunning image deserved pride of place don't you think, I coloured her with distress inks and glittered her dress...the lush lace isn't really lace its from a sheet of paper lace I bought at the craft fair which I cut out (dosent it look real) and added some black satin ribbon and a bow too...I finished with some pearls on her dress and earring and added some to the card and bow...I'm entering this for the Fab 'n' Funky challenge, Card Crafter's Circle challenge and the Paper Pretties challenge...I found out yesterday that there's no bus service from my area to the Town at all at weekend...that's nuts isn't it, what on earth do people who don't have a car do, so I wont be going to town today in case you were wondering lol, I'm going to have a lazy day, some old tv movies, a pot of lady grey tea and amaretti biscuits and that's me settled for the afternoon...whatever your up to today have a brilliant hassle free one

Happy New Year...Asprin anyone?...

Good morning everyone and Happy New Year, I wish you all love, happiness and good health for 2012...anyone got a hangover?, oh and have you made any resolutions I would love to hear them, I never make any as I never ever keep them so its not worth the guilt trip when I never manage them...er...remember I said I wasn't going to buy anything in the sales, well we all went to Sainsbury's yesterday to get the food for today's New Years Day/Sunday lunch and I couldn't resist a little mooch through their sale goodies now could I, then I saw it, the fluffiest, biggest dusky pink dressing gown I have ever seen and an amazing 40% off now how could I resist that...so I didn't and bought it...I look like a polar bear who is going through its pink phase but it is so warm and lush, I love it...my card for today is for anyone who needs a little help with their hangover lol...the fantastic image is from Mo's digital pencil and is called Nurse, shes great for any get well card don't you think, I coloured her with distress inks and these lush Christmas papers (see you don't have to use Christmas papers just for Christmas do you), I haven't a clue who they are by though as there's no markings on them at all, I bought them from my local shop Crafter's and Co so must ask Sara who they are by...I finished with a white satin ribbon and a red tartan bow, the letters are from a sheet of Basic Grey embellishments...the fab sketch is from the My Time Made Easy challenge and I'm also entering it for the Card Crafter's Circle challenge and the Charisma Cards challenge too...I am so so behind with all my DT work that Phil's says he is going to make lunch today to give me a chance to at least get organised as to what I need to get done, thank goodness for men that can cook lol...we are having a lovely family lunch today, my favourite thing to do...whatever your up to I hope you have something wonderful planned too
