its coming...well maybe...

Good morning everyone how you all doing?...yes its me again I think I'm on a mojo roll this week and about time too I hear myself cry lol...have you noticed the daylight has started to hang about a lot longer...is that spring I see just peeping out of the ground too, Phil planted some stunning tulip bulbs last year and he says they have started to peek out to see if its warm enough yet...I feel like running into the garden and screaming to them 'get back under its too cold' but I think the neighbours might think I have gone a bit loony...still a while to go for spring yet I guess but we can live in hope of an early one cant we...my card for today has a real spring like feel to it I think with all those pretty bright colours...this stunner is a new Saturated Canary stamp called Eva, isn't she gorgeous and wouldn't you just love a figure like that?...yep me too lol...I coloured her with distress inks (and yes this is using old card) and used more of the beautiful Basic Grey Fresh Cut 6" x 6" Paper Pad for her...I paper pieced her skirt and top and cut one of the flowers from another sheet from the same pad...I added a twirly bow made from stunning Organza Ribbon - Cerise (25mm Wide), I also edged some of the paper with some Marianne D Romantic Lace to finish...everything I used on my card is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...I made the sketch up as I went along but am entering this for the Crafting from the Heart Challenge, City Crafter Challenge and the Craft-Dee bowz challenge too...I need to get my butt in gear today for some last minuet things for Phil and my Dad going away so need to get motivated to move I think...right war paint on and away we go...whatever your up to today have a lovely bright one and I will speak to you all tomorrow for this month Mo's blog hop

it doesnt always have to be white...

Good morning everyone how was your weekend?, anything exciting...well all our plans came to nothing yesterday we didn't move anything as the heavens opened and threw everything at us...a bit of rain a bit of snow and sleet and was blowing a hurricane, so we decided not too risk getting anything too wet and nobody relished lugging stuff around in that weather...we didn't even get out to buy her house warming present either...so not a very exciting day all in all but we did head to the pet store for some essentials and for me to coo over the Degu's...if you haven't heard of them look them up but be prepared if you don't like mice kinda things...I think they are so so cute and always manage an aaaawwww...oh and I nearly bought a knitted cable sweater for the kitten but caught sight of Phil's 'your nuts woman' look out of the corner of my eye and changed my mind lol...now for my card for today...now who says wedding cards always have to be white?, well this one certainly isn't, in fact I think it has a bit of every colour in it...this stamp is from Wild Rose Studio and is called At the Altar...its beautifully elegant isn't it, I coloured it with my usual distress inks adding a bit of Stickles Glitter Glue - Star Dust, the stunningly beautiful papers are from the Basic Grey Fresh Cut 6" x 6" Paper Pad, I added a bow made from my favourite Organza Ribbon - White (25mm Wide) its so easy to make lush bows with this wired ribbon I used a sentiment from the Kaisercraft Mini Clear Stamp set - Wedding and added some beautiful roses from the Marianne Design Paper Roses - White/Blue (RB2214) pack and for a finishing touch I stuck on some beautifully coloured pearls from the Mixed Bag of 5mm Flat backed Pearls, everything I used today is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...I made the sketch up as I went along but am entering this for the 4 Crafty Girls Challenges, The Ribbon Girls Challenge and the Delicious Doodles Challenge too...I think its a bit of tidying, organising boxes and maybe a bit more colouring practise for me today, thank you all for the encouragement yesterday I am definitely going for the dodgy paper reason for rubbish colouring...well you all agreed with me too didn't you lol...whatever your up to today I hope its a brilliant fun one for you

Good morning everyone I hope your all well and having a great start to your week...it was brilliant to see I'm not alone in having done nothing for Christmas yet...and that some of you feel guilty about it like me too lol...the tree is still giving me guilty looks and is sitting in the corner sulking...well I headed for my craft room yesterday and decided to have a mass printing and colouring session but I couldn't get my printer to work at all...does anyone else have problems with their Epson printer?, I have never had this happen before and am stumped...in fact a couple of times it almost made it into the garden via the window lol...I will have another go today, now my temper has evened out a bit, keep your fingers crossed it works or listen out for a smashing window and a hulk type yell lol...right now onto my card for today...this is one of the brand new Return to Winter Wonderland release from Sugar Nellie...she is the beautiful Hey Little Birdie, I coloured her with my distress inks and glittered her up with loads of Stickles Glitter Glue - Star Dust...the fantastic papers are from the Echo Park - Reflections Christmas 6x6 Paper Pad, I bought this from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...I finished with a punched snowflake, a rub on sentiment and a lush organza bow, would you believe I found this beautiful ribbon in my scraps box...I know shocker eh? and a charm from the Marianne D Winter Charms JU0871 pack, I like using charms as embellishments and the circle is using cut off with just scissors to do this...the fab sketch is from the Sketch N Stash Challenge and I'm also entering it for the Ribbon Girl Challenge and the Crafting When We Can Challenge too...I'm heading out with my Dad for a little while this afternoon, then our beautiful Daughter is calling in this evening...I will let you know if the printer is planted or not lol...whatever your up to today I hope its a peaceful calm one for you

Good morning everyone did you all have a fantastic weekend, well we didn't get up to much yesterday just a quick visit to the supermarket for camera batteries is all...I'm keeping my head down for the foreseeable future lol...my hip is a little better today so I don't think I need xrays just a non klutz pair of feet and maybe a few more days rest...thank you all so so much for your sympathies and kind words yesterday they meant so so much to me, I think I was feeling a bit down and sorry for myself yesterday but chin up things have to be better now by the law of averages if nothing else lol...right now onto my card for today which is for our new challenge at Bunny Zoe's Crafts monthly challenge...the theme this month is Shabby Chic/Vintage ...I always struggle with these themes as I'm never quiet sure what shabby chic means but I think my card is more vintage anyway...how cute is this gorgeous little Christmas image?, its from Whimsy Stamps and is called Little Jack and Bobbin Christmas...I know hes a boy but I think he would work perfectly for a little girls card too...I coloured this cutie with my distress inks and teamed it up with these stunning papers, tags, paper piecing and edging from the Kaisercraft - Holly Bright 6.5"x6.5" Paper Pad...lush papers arent they, embossed and glossy too, they are so gorgeous, I added a strip of Gingham Wired Edge Gold Thread Ribbon - Burgundy and a bow made with Organza Ribbon - Burgundy (25mm Wide)...the gorgeous cute flowers are from the Blossoms - Resin Flower Pansy set and I finished with a snowflake charm from the Marianne D Winter Charms JU0871 pack and I stamped a sentiment from the Kaisercraft Clear Stamps - Gingerbread stamp set...everything I used was from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...the lush sketch is from Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge and I'm also entering it for the Crafty Calendar challenge and Charisma Cardz challenge too...I think I will head out for coffee today and a catch up with my lovely Dad he always has a way of giving me a good shake lol...whatever your up to today have a brilliant fun one

my baubles...

Good morning everyone did you have a fab day yesterday? and an even better one planned for today I hope...we went to the craft and antiques fair yesterday and walking in was like a massive hit of instant Christmas...it was all the smells of the handmade candles and spiced buns and cakes and the sights of the wonderfully made wreaths and Christmas ornaments and there was Christmas carols playing too...it was wonderful and Phil was in his element and loved every second of it, he chatted away with the stall holders and was asking all about how they made the ornaments and wreaths etc...we bought some amazing glittered cupcakes and a couple of small ornaments for our tree (which we still don't have lol)...and there was someone selling revamped furniture and I was so so tempted to buy four retro chairs that were painted duck egg blue with some really funky sixties style fabric for the pads, they were so lush but no matter how hard I tried I could figure out where to use them where they would be shown off, we have six off white ladderback dining chairs so couldn't use them for the dining table and they deserved more than to be stuck in bedrooms so I resisted...now talking of ornaments I'm quite embarrassed to show you my first attempts above, mind remember they are prototypes and hopefully the real things will get better...well I hope they will

right now for my card for today using this super cute little stamp from Marianne Designs...shes called Daisy Autumn I coloured her with distress inks and paper pieced her gorgeous little coat... I think she works great for a Christmas card don't you especially with these lush papers from the Glitz 6x6" Paper Pack - Joyeux Noel pack...I also used a sentiment stamp from the Kaisercraft Clear Stamps - Twig & Berry Postmarks set, this is a fabulous set for all your Christmas cards and even for the sentiment inside...everything except the fabulous green satin ribbon is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts

the fab sketch is from the Try Stampin' On Tuesday Challenge and Im also entering it for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge and the Gem of a Challenge...we are heading out today I don't know where yet but we have to get my Dad out of the house and his mind distracted from the fact it would have been my Mums Birthday today...of course a bit of spoiling and a couple of hugs are in order for him too...whatever your up to today have fun

bbbbbbbbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

Good morning everyone did you have a fab weekend, ours was very quiet but nice, I couldn't get any of the family to come out and play this weekend though it was freezing here and nobody wanted to venture outdoors...I think my lovely Dad was hibernating lol...even the temptation of a meal last evening couldn't get any of them to move...we did get loads done yesterday in the the house though...nothing massive but loads of those little annoying niggly jobs that you put off until you have too...there was a terrible draught downstairs and Phil put some fitted excluder on the front door and I sorted out a couple of bits of skirting that needed a gap filled, we did a bit of painting and sorted out the spare room getting rid of all the unwanted furniture and rubbish, so a productive day and we even managed a coffee out too...amazing what I can find to do when I want to fill time out so I don't have to think about smoking...thank you all so much for backing me with my giving up...I'm still going strong so far, my fingers and toes are firmly crossed you should see me hobbling about lol...right now onto my card for today which is for our new challenge over at Bunny Zoe's Crafts
this month it was our lovely Tracy's turn to choose and she picked the theme of Winter, perfect excuse to make a Christmas card with a frosty feel to it isn't it...I chose this gorgeously cute High Hopes - Penguin Friends stamp for my card coloured with distress inks and paper pieced with some lush Echo Park - Winter Wishes papers, the fabulous sentiment is cut from the pad's front cover. see we crafters waste nothing do we lol...I finished with some beautiful Marianne D Vintage Lace - Duchesse and a few punched snowflakes glittered with Stickles Glitter Glue - Crystal everything I used is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...the sketch I made up as I went along and I'm entering this for the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long challenge, Joanna Sheen Challenge and the Charisma Cardz Challenge too...I'm staying in today and making tacos for dinner and doing a little bit of catch up crafting...oooohhhhh I feel in need of some colouring...whatever your up to today have a brilliant one and I hope you manage a bit of crafting too

a christmas teddy and candy news...

Good morning everyone, did you all have a brilliant weekend, ours was very quiet and restful, the kind I like now and again but not every weekend, I think Phil is taking advantage of the quiet as we are off to the Belfast Crafts show next weekend so the poor man will be bored out of his brain, mind its his own fault as I said I'm quite happy going alone, maybe hes scared he will miss something lol...when Phil came hone on Friday night his first job was to clear the biggest squished spider the one I couldn't pick up with the vacuum, and I quote he said 'bloody hell, that's a big un' lol...see I told you it was a biggie...anyway its that time again, time for our new challenge at Bunny Zoe's Crafts monthly challenge and this month our fabulous Michele's choice and her challenge is lace it up, so use lace somewhere on your creation

I made a kinda 3d sorta card, sorry don't know what its called as I haven't seen it anywhere well except in my head, its three layers two of which have holes cut out, I think it would make a fantastic photo frame don't you...the idea came to me from the papers as the front sheet looks like a book cover...the lush fantastic papers are from the Fancy Pants 6x6 paper pad Saint Nick, now how fantastic is this Stampavie Tina Wenke Holiday Bear just perfect for any Christmas project isn't it, I coloured it with my usual distress inks and added a bit of glitter, I finished my card with some beautiful lace from the Marianne D Vintage white lace pack and a beautiful glittery gem candy cane from my stash...all the goodies for my card except the charm are from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...I will be back later with some lush new Bunny Zoe's Crafts monthly candy so keep an eye out for it...have a wonderful day whatever your up to, I'm going to have a rummage in my craft room to make a list of essentials I need before the weekend...when you have the time pop on over to our challenge blog to see what the rest of our fabulous team have come up with this month

a vision in blue ready to tuck in...

Good morning everyone I hope your all well and happy...I met with my wonderful Dad yesterday for coffee and general putting of the world right, he told me he had got a speeding ticket through the post and was ranting and raving about it and was very angry with himself for being 'so stupid' as he put it, well I told him that anyone that drives as fast as him wants to thank his lucky stars he has made it to 79 without one...I don't think he was impressed but it made him chuckle anyway and cheered him up lol...hes off on his travels again this weekend, off to my Sister in Belfast for a few days then flying to stay with my other Sister in England for a couple of weeks...I love to see him head off, don't get me wrong its not that I wont miss him because I do a lot but I just think at his age you never know what will happen to stop him being able to travel so he should go for it just in case don't you...right enough waffle Mina onto my card for today which is for our new challenge over at Just Magnolia & hAnglar & sTanglar challenge...this week its our fabulous Dena's turn to host and she chose the theme of cooking, well I think I must have been a bit hungry when I made this as it has more to do with eating than cooking lol...I used the stunning Simsalabim Tilda (who's on sale atm at Bunny Zoe's) but masked off her wand and put a magnolia knife and fork stamp in its place, I also masked Tilda and used one of the Magnolia Muffin stamps behind her, I think they worked together for this don't you...I coloured them with distress inks and teamed them up with some more of the amazing new papers from the new Magnolia Sweet Rainbow collection papers, these are called Blue Foliage and Turquoise Plaid, I love these new papers, so so lush...I also added some of the new Marianne D Flower ribbons, this one is the White Organza...I finished with a beautiful satin edged ribbon called Sheer Elegance White from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop, the fabulous sketch is from Stamp with Fun challenge, I'm off to catch up on some DT work today so if you don't hear from me send food parcels (with a few crafty things stashed inside) lol...have a fantastic day everyone and when you have time pop on over to Just Magnolia to check out the rest of the teams amazing creations
