kiss kiss...

Good morning everyone did you have a brilliant weekend and didn't get drenched I hope....we went to Town with my lovely Dad uesterday and just as we were leaving a coffee shop there was a massive storm that came from blue skies and as my gorgeous Phil would say 'it plumped from the heavens' lol...I had a very light blue top on that has a bit of back on show and it was freezing cold on my back and made me yelp...well we dashed back to the car, well as fast as you can dash with a man who walks with two crutches and headed home, by the time we dropped my Dad off and got inside the house drenched to the skin the skies were clear blue and the sun was shining again...so weird...right now onto my card for today is using this amazing Kisses digi stamp from, yes you guessed it Mo's Digital Pencil...it has to be doesn't it...look at that adorable face and her cute little knees...I coloured her with my distress inks and used some amazing papers I found while having a bit of a rummage...these are from the Echo Park 6x6 paper pad - This and That...aren't these just the lushest colours and perfect for this little sweetie...I bought this Echo Park Pad ages ago from Bunny Zoe's Crafts but it isn't in stock anymore but there's loads of others...I finished with an incredible Prima metal flowers with a button attached to the centre and some sparkly letters sentiment...the fab sketch is from Tuesday Morning Sketches and I'm also entering this for the Joanna Sheen Challenge and One Stitch at a Time Challenge too...I have some crafting to catch up on today while my Dad is at the garage getting his tyres changed and then will be trying to rescue the flowers that have been battered by the storms...whatever your up to today I hope you manage to stay dry

the great tomato debate...

Good morning everyone I hope your all well and having a great week...the weather was desperate again here yesterday...dull, grey and very very windy...my poor plants are getting battered too bits...its so bad Phil has taken to covering his tomato experiment with plastic in the hope it doesn't shrivel up and die...oh did I tell you about the great tomato debate?...we were at the garden centre a few weeks back if you remember and Phil wants to start growing tomato's...I said I thought it should be all about the taste and doesn't matter the size, shape or yield etc...Phil said he thought a bigger one would be better and one with a higher yield...I know fascinating isn't it, you can see how exciting our conversations are cant you lol...anyway we are having an experiment we have bought three kinds to see what does the best and has the best taste...I will keep you all informed that's if your all still awake lol

right now onto my card for today...Sugar Nellie is having a Leanne Ellis Spotlight week and I got to use this stunning haunting Leanne Ellis stamp for mine...this is the beautiful Pick Me and I coloured her with my distress inks and paper pieced her pretty little dress...I finished my image with some Pumice Stone distress ink distressing it to give a faded look to her...I'm not quite sure it worked but it seemed like a good idea at the time lol...the beautiful papers are from the  Echo Park's Victorian Garden paper pad. I only had these few sheets left as its an old pad from a while back...I loved the faded colours don't you...I edged the papers with distressing in the same way as the image too...I finished my card with some fab black lace, a black satin ribbon bow and a few pearls...the lush sketch is from the Sketch and Stash Challenge and I'm also entering it for the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge and the Joanna Sheen Challenge too...keep popping by the Sugar Nellie blog all week for some stunning makes from my team mates, they are so super talented...wow did you see Pats yesterday?...I'm having another crafting day today as I'm still playing catch up...whatever your up to today have a brilliant one

I can sing a rainbow...

Good morning everyone did you have a nice weekend?...we decided yesterday as my lovely Dad was back from his travels and our Daughter is heading off on hers this week we would have a family dinner so as it was spur of the moment we headed for good old M & S...pasta bake, salad and I baked some new potatoes with garlic, shallots and teeny tomatoes, and then onto dessert, well Dad wanted cheesecake but I couldn't find any Amaretto for the base, then we thought pie but then our Daughters other half doesn't like stewed fruit...so we ended coming home at 4pm and I made the fastest Victoria sandwich cake ever to be filled with strawberry's and whipped cream but would it hell cool down...so I opened the back door and then had to rescue my cakes as two pigeons tried to get in to eat it...that's what you get for feeding the birds isn't it lol...very lush it was too, the meal not the pigeons...it was so lovely to catch up with all my Dads gossip and spend some time with our Daughter and yes my stomach is still churning at the thought of her going away for three weeks...you would think she was 8 not 28 wouldn't you lol...do we ever stop worrying like this?, I think its our job to worry about them...well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it lol...right now onto my card for today which is for our new monthly challenge at Bunny Zoe's Crafts Challenge...this month was our fantastic Karina's choice and she chose to use your favourite colour combo...I really don't have an all time favourite combo but atm I'm loving using green, yellow and blue so decided to use that...when I was going through all the colours in my mind I ended up humming that song I can sing a rainbow (bet your humming it now lol)...I used the gorgeous Stampavie Sarah Kay - Tool Time stamp for my card, wow I love this card it just screams summer holidays doesn't it...the amazing papers are from the  Carta Bella - Cool Summer 6x6 Paper Pad fantastic colours aren't they and perfect for my colour combo too...I used a couple of the 5 x Wrench charm pack , a bow made from Organza Ribbon - Lime (25mm Wide) , a few Prima Flowers Perle Bebe - Sun Kiss (boys cards can have flowers too lol) and  Wooden Ornaments for the Birthday boy sentiment...everything I used is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...I cant for the life of me remember where this sketch is from but it a goody...I am entering it for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge, Stamping Sensations Challenge and the Joanna Sheen Challenge too...I'm off to town with my Dad today I was meant to be getting a haircut but I forgot to book so keep your fingers crossed I will get one last minuet...whatever your up to have a brilliant one and if you have time please pop by the Bunny Zoe's Crafts challenge to see the amazing makes by our team

Good morning everyone did you all have a fabulous weekend...ours was kinda quiet but at least the sun came out yesterday, its amazing what a bit of sun does to people isn't it...we went for a little mooch around town and even though it was still freezing cold I found myself sitting in the sunshine with my face turned upwards, its lovely to feel the sun on your face isn't it...of course the winter blues aren't helped much when you return home to your neighbours asking if you will keep an eye on their house while they are off to Tenerife for two weeks is it lol...I so wish I was going with them, oooohhhhh for two weeks in permanent sunshine sitting around a lush pool sitting daft drinks with even dafter umbrellas in them...mind I would have to go alone as poor Phil doesn't even get a full day without either phone calls from work or being called in, he even had to go in for three hours yesterday evening too so dinner with our beautiful Daughter and her other half had to be postponed until tonight...it cant be helped though and we know we are lucky him having a job after our panic last year...never mind we live in hope of somewhere warmer not too far down the line...theres nowt like hope is there lol...right now onto my card for today and how spring/summery are these stunning papers and image...everything on today's card is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...this cute little girl is from the new Crafter's Companion collection....isn't she a real sweetie?...the stamp is called Angelica and Friends - Grace and the amazingly lush papers I used are from one of the new Prima paper pads...these are from the stunning Divine Pad, I cut some of the bunting and the ruler from another to finish and added some of the brand new Prima Butterflies - Divine they were a perfect finish and I didn't think it needed anything else do you?...the fab sketch is from the Sunday Sketch & Stamp Challenge and I'm also entering it for the Joanna Sheen Challenge and the Totally Papercrafts challenge too...I'm having a crafting day today, I have loads to do and feel the need to cut things out lol...whatever your up to today I hope wherever you are you get to enjoy some sunshine

oooohhhhhh hurry up please...

Good morning everyone are you like me and desperate for the spring to pop its head up...I sssssooooo wish it would hurry up, I cant wait for the sun to shine, the new green grass to start and flowers to pop their little green shoots up...can you tell by all the spring/summer cards that are popping up on my blog lol...I think Phil's mind is on the same wavelength too as hes been looking at flower seeds, planning where pots will go on the deck and looking at greenhouse's...he used to grow the most amazing tomato's and I would pop into the greenhouse pick them and make a garlic, tomato and basil pasta sauce for dinner...it was sssssoooo scrummy with warm hothouse tomato's freshly picked the taste is so fresh its unreal...of course that was before he worked away for 11 years but now hes home we can get them again....ooooohhhh cant wait... I think I will start saving and buy him a lush big greenhouse for our anniversary in March, but ssssshhhhhh not a word to him wont it make a brilliant surprise for him...all this talk of spring is all the fault of the fabulous Jane from Janey's Digi Designs...this amazing Icelandic Poppy digi made me look poppies up on the internet and all those stunning flowers made me wish...I coloured it with my usual distress inks and teamed it up with these amazing papers from the Kaisercraft - Pickled Pear 6.5"x6.5" Paper Pad I bought from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...this pad is so stunning...everything I used to finish the card are from the same pad, I even cut the butterflies from a sheet of it too...the fab sketch is from the Papertake Weekly Challenge and I'm also entering it for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge and the Joanna Sheen Challenge too...today is supermarket day with my lovely Dad and of course you know what that means...yep put the world to rights coffee time too...I love my chatty coffee breaks with my Dad hes a great talker...whatever your up to today maybe if we all wish hard enough together Spring will come just a teeny bit faster...so all together now....wish

Joy is...

Good morning everyone I hope you all had a brilliant weekend...we did a little more shopping and still haven't reached the end of the list but are getting there and I enjoyed matching the gift with the person so much...we then popped to the supermarket for something for dinner...omg you would think they were giving food away, so so many people and so angry and busy, my Dad was telling me about a man the other day who thought he was in his way, keep in mind my Dad walks with two crutches and is severely disable, who kicked my Dad in the shins to get him out of his way and when confronted he said 'you shouldn't have been in my way'?????, then a woman actually ran over Phil's feet with her trolley, no excuse me or apology or anything, no smiles, no festive spirit at all...whatever happened to the joy of the Christmas season, if they are feeling grumpy and angry they could just remember that there is a lot of people out there much worse off, remember all those poor families from the Connecticut elementary school shooting, the devastation, all those in pain from the loss is unimaginable... or they could try to look at Christmas through a child's eyes, remember the joy they feel at Christmas and be just a little thankful for the family and loved ones they have and the things they have to be joyful about...I actually came out of the supermarket feeling angry and annoyed at those people for making me feel that way...apologies for the rant but its over, phew breath Mina lol...right now onto a much calmer nicer subject...my card for today is using this beautiful little boy and his dog, look at the joy in his face...he is of course from Mo's Digital Pencil and is called Baron and Butch...I coloured this sweetie with distress inks and matched him up with this lush paper from My Minds Eye Winter Wonderland range, its called Christmas Trees and aren't the colours just lush, I think this image makes a perfect Christmas card for my Nephew who is into games, x box etc don't you...I finished with a sentiment and a few scattered buttons...the fab sketch is from Sketch N Stash but I was too late to join in so I'm entering it for the Joanna Sheen challenge , Totally Gorjuss challenge and the Here Comes the Boys Challenge...I'm going to do some gift wrapping and parcel wrapping today and a little bit of crafting I think...whatever your up to today remember the joy of the Season please and smile at a stranger and wish them a Merry Christmas...you never know it might make someones day

bbbbbbbbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

Good morning everyone did you have a fab weekend, ours was very quiet but nice, I couldn't get any of the family to come out and play this weekend though it was freezing here and nobody wanted to venture outdoors...I think my lovely Dad was hibernating lol...even the temptation of a meal last evening couldn't get any of them to move...we did get loads done yesterday in the the house though...nothing massive but loads of those little annoying niggly jobs that you put off until you have too...there was a terrible draught downstairs and Phil put some fitted excluder on the front door and I sorted out a couple of bits of skirting that needed a gap filled, we did a bit of painting and sorted out the spare room getting rid of all the unwanted furniture and rubbish, so a productive day and we even managed a coffee out too...amazing what I can find to do when I want to fill time out so I don't have to think about smoking...thank you all so much for backing me with my giving up...I'm still going strong so far, my fingers and toes are firmly crossed you should see me hobbling about lol...right now onto my card for today which is for our new challenge over at Bunny Zoe's Crafts
this month it was our lovely Tracy's turn to choose and she picked the theme of Winter, perfect excuse to make a Christmas card with a frosty feel to it isn't it...I chose this gorgeously cute High Hopes - Penguin Friends stamp for my card coloured with distress inks and paper pieced with some lush Echo Park - Winter Wishes papers, the fabulous sentiment is cut from the pad's front cover. see we crafters waste nothing do we lol...I finished with some beautiful Marianne D Vintage Lace - Duchesse and a few punched snowflakes glittered with Stickles Glitter Glue - Crystal everything I used is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...the sketch I made up as I went along and I'm entering this for the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long challenge, Joanna Sheen Challenge and the Charisma Cardz Challenge too...I'm staying in today and making tacos for dinner and doing a little bit of catch up crafting...oooohhhhh I feel in need of some colouring...whatever your up to today have a brilliant one and I hope you manage a bit of crafting too

take two...

Good morning everyone I hope you all have a fantastic weekend planned...I have loads to tell you about but that will wait until tomorrow as today its day two of the brand new Ribonita and Friends release at Sugar Nellie, which ones are your favourites? I bet you change your mind again today, I have been like that since I saw them and every one I colour is my next favourite

you should have arrived here from the amazing Jane's blog and if you didn't and you would like the chance of winning some sugary goodies then hop on over to the Sugar Nellie blog to start at the beginning...I used the stunning Alice for my card today, isn't she beautiful, I love colouring stripe's and hair and I had loads of both to colour to my hearts content on this beauty, I coloured her with distress inks and paper pieced her hairband, dress and shoes, the stamps are available now at Funky Kits

the papers are from the same Stampin Up set as yesterdays card, I have no idea what you call this type of scene card, I made three layers and the back one I inked some clouds, I think you can just see them, should have been a bit heavier handed I think lol...I think the card sort is either a shadow box card or box card but I'm probably wrong, let me know if you know...I finished with a printed sentiment and a scattering of different size butterflies...I love these cute Ribonita's and cant wait to ink the rest up...the next stop on our hop is the super talented Tiet's
who has something spectacular to show you I'm sure...don't forget to leave comments on all the girls blogs along the way for a chance to win and whatever your doing this weekend have a fantastic one

I love a bit of colour...

Good morning everyone, I hope your all keeping well and are happy...I had another crafting day yesterday but it was one of those days when you seem to do loads but nothing gets finished if you know what I mean...I played and coloured and cut but finished nothing I should have but had fun playing anyway...I really must go out today though, I had all intentions of yesterday but yes you guessed it the rain fell from the heavens lol...now I'm not allergic to rain or like the wicked witch melt in it or anything like that (honestly) I just hate mooching round town in it is all...when you in the mood for a mooch you certainly don't want a soggy mooch do you, have you noticed I seem to have turned into the weather police lol...I did finish this card and felt in the need of loads of colour and you cant say this paper isn't colourful can you...the papers are from the Basicgrey Sweet Threads 6x6 paper pad from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...isn't it so bright, colourful and joyful...love it...I teamed it up with this stunning Zorana A Dancing Gypsy from Saturated Canary...I just about used every colour distress ink I could think off on my Gypsy and isn't she just beautiful...as the paper was so colourful I just added a lush pink satin ribbon and bow and a gorgeous twisted metal Fancy Heart Charm to finish...the lush sketch (I love the hearts behind the image) is from the Sketch N Stash challenge and I'm also entering it for the Joanna Sheen Challenge and Fussy and Fancy Friday challenge too...whatever your up to today have a brilliant one

Good morning everyone well are you all snowed in and frosty enough...we haven't had any so far and fingers crossed we don't get any, you can keep it thanks...I so envy you lovely people who live in sunnier climates, I'm just waiting for an invite to holiday with one of you lol...I think we could all do with some sun...my Dad is fine and it was lovely to see him again, he seems quite upbeat but then he hasn't got used to not driving yet, we did a lot of ringing round Doctors and hospitals to see if we could get it done privately but it is horrendously expensive and I know he is so worth it but we are all too stretched this close after Christmas, but we still haven't given up hope of getting it done faster, thank you all so so much for all the positive things and advice you gave yesterday it is helping so much...right now onto my card for today which is the girl version of the one I made on Friday, this gorgeous little girl is called With Love and is of course from Mo's Digital Pencil, only Mo could draw that wonderful face...I coloured her with distress inks and I'm so sorry but I have no idea what make these lush papers are but they are gorgeous aren't they, I paper pieced her heart and paper like on the boy version and cut out the edge of the paper for the letter bar at the bottom, the lush flower is cut from the bottom edge of the paper too, I finished with a ribbon and a satin bow...the fab sketch is from Papertake Weekly challenge and I'm also entering it for the Ribbon Carousel challenge and Joanna Sheen challenge too...btw did you see that Graphic45 are having a DT call, ooooohhhhhhh how I would love to be part of that team but I don't think I would be what they are looking for, but its a thought isn't it...we are having a family Sunday lunch today, lush food, good company and Phil will go pick up my Dad too...whatever your up to today have a fantastic one and if its very snowy be careful and stay safe

young love...

Good morning everyone, I hope your all well and are having a great start to 2012, Phil has gone back to work and it seems so strange to be here alone again but at least I will get loads of work done today, well that's the plan anyway...we had a fantastic family lunch yesterday and my lovely Dad seems to have his appetite back and even asked for a second Yorkshire pudding, fingers crossed he is well and truly on the mend, you probably heard the sigh of relief from where you are lol...because my Dad wasn't with us for Christmas we had a extra special lunch and even had Christmas crackers, and he chuckled at each and every terrible bad joke in them too...I missed his laugh as we haven't heard it much when he wasn't well, we are going shopping together tomorrow so he can spend some of his gift cards he got for Christmas, I don't like shopping for clothes with my Dad, he doesn't really need anything and the men who complain women are picky shoppers should spend the day with my Dad, I will give you an example when we were shopping for a new TV for him, it took him 12 weeks and I mean looking at them at least twice a week too...couldn't make his mind up if I paid him lol...anyway onto my post for today, its for our new challenge at The Pretty Little Ribbon shop challenge...

the choice of theme this time is from our fab teamie Peet and she chose Be My Valentine, as soon as I started to think about this DT project I knew I had to use this amazing Ragged Romeo from Mo's Digital Pencil, stunning isn't it and look at that little girls face, perfection, I coloured them with distress inks and used them as a tag for a box...the stunning ribbons are from The Pretty Little Ribbon shop and are Antique Gold Sheer Ruffle Edge 16mm (just peeping behind the white) and White Silky Crush wired ribbon, I finished with loads of Prima roses and a mixture of velvet and satin leaves from my stash...wait until you see what the rest of our wonderful came up with, wow...I'm entering this for the Simon Says Stamp anything goes challenge, the Joanna Sheen Celebration challenge (mines Valentines) and the Dutch Dare Card challenge too...I'm having a crafting catching up day today and I'm not coming out of my craft room until I have caught up...have a wonderful day everyone and when you have time pop on over to The Pretty Little Ribbon shop challenge and join in

so much joy in one little face...

Yyyyyyooohhhoooo everyone I'm back...did you miss me?, yeah right I bet you did lol...I hope you all had the most fantastic Christmas ever, we had a very quiet one just family and lots of laughs and gift giving, my Sister and her family were down on Tuesday so I didn't get on to check my posting so oops, this should have been yesterdays but by the time I realised it was so late I just kept it for today...see what happens when your not about to check things...thank you all so much for your fantastic comments on my Nativity scene, I had so so much fun making that and gave it to my Sister for her two little un's and I'm chuffed to say they love it so much, my Dad still isn't very well at all and we are all very worried about him but will he go to the Doctors...nope, but I'm working on him and have a feeling if he doesn't go he will end up in hospital, its hard to get my head around anything else but my Dad atm but it helps to take your mind onto something else doesn't it...so my card for today is using this gorgeous little Snow Day cutie from Mo's Digital Pencil, I used this sweetie in pink but you could use it for a boy or girl I think, don't you...the lush papers are from a pack I bought from K&Co called Classic K Bailey scrap kit, it included the word and the flowers too and there's loads and loads for me to use so I'm sure you will see more of this lush kit, I finished with a chocolate brown ribbon and a scattering of pearls...I am totally lost with the challenges so I haven't a clue where this fab sketch is from but I'm entering this for the My Mums Craft Shop challenge, Joanna Sheen challenge and the Simon Says Stamp challenge too...I'm off to persuade my Dad to go to the Doctors or I'm getting him to come out, that will shift him I think, keep your fingers crossed it does for me please...have a fabulous day everyone

I finished my card with some yellow and dark grey satin ribbon and a stamped sentiment...your next stop on your hopping along way is the fabulous Pops...enjoy the rest of the hop and don't forget your comments as you never know who will be a winner this time...I'm entering this for the Joanna Sheen challenge and Creative Card Crew challenge too...right now for my second card today which is for the new challenge at Colour Create challenge, this time the challenge will last a month because of the Christmas holidays, our fabulous host Sharon chose SILVER, BLUE & WHITE for her combo this time, its perfect for a real frosty feeling to cards

this little sweetie snowflake fairy is from CC Designs but I cant for the life of me remember what shes called, I coloured her with distress inks again and glittered her up too...the beautiful soft papers are from Prima Madeline paper pad, I added some silver glittered snowflakes which is very hard to see and a couple of punched snowflakes too...I finished with some lush pleated organza ribbon and a white satin ribbon too, the lush sketch is from Sunday Sketch and Stamp challenge and I'm also entering it for the Crafty Calender challenge too...phew that was a long one wasn't it, thanks for sticking with me and I promise tomorrows will be much much shorter...my photos still look a bit blurred to me but I have a feeling it might be my glasses need replacing yet again, or maybe I'm just seeing things lol...I'm off out to the supermarket today with my lovely Dad...whatever your up to today have a fantastic one and if you have time pop on over to Colour Create to check out the rest of the DT's wonderful work
