broken tinternet...

Good morning everyone sorry I'm late today but I had a broken tinternet...rotten BT as always, I really have to change my provider, Sky have excellent deals on atm do any of you have sky internet...is it ok?...thank you so much to Naomi, Marie Louise and Tracey, you are some of life's shining stars, they donated to the wonderful Stephs cause for the Belfast Marathon, thank you both so much you will never know how much it mean to me and Steph and her family and I can never thank you enough...I swear it will come back to you two fold girls karma works I promise you...I found out the secret to preparing meals last night...do you want to know what it is?...eat out lol...Phil worked a little later than his usual 5pm so we decided to go out to eat, yummy food, excellent service and no clearing up...defo the secret to meal planning...mind every night might be a stretch do you think...right now enough waffling onto my card for today which is for our new challenge at Colour Create challenge...this time its the fantastic Kerry's turn to host and she chose the stunning combo of Rose Pink, Kraft and White and the extra option is to use masking...I love this colour combo and masking but I rarely do it so had to use the extra option...so I used this fantastic Tilda coloured with distress inks (btw have you seen the new seasonal DI colours and they have reinkers with them too this time)...I masked her and used a long forgotten free lace stamp for the masking part, I used frayed burlap DI for the lace to match the paper and a damp brush to fade it a bit...isn't this paper amazing its from Sasafras Lass but I haven't any idea what its called because the scalloped edging I used is exactly the name strip from the bottom...I finished with two satin ribbons and a cut out flower from the paper too...I cant for the life of me remember where the sketch is from and have lost my bit of paper with it on, I will find it when I don't need it lol...I'm entering this for the Joanna Sheen challenge, Simon Says Stamp challenge and Creative Inspiration challenge too...right I'm of to my craft room today to finish off a few things I need to do then off to the supermarket, my lovely Dad comes back from Belfast tonight so I will get a massive catch up tomorrow with him...whatever your up to today have a fantastic one and if you have time pop on over to Colour Create challenge to see what our amazing team came up with

a little bit of picking of brains...

Good morning everyone are you all fit and well I hope so...a quick question before I tell you about my card for today, I was chatting with a friend last night and we decided that although I'm defo an Ikea kinda girl it just wouldn't suit what I'm aiming for in the farmhouse....so....I was thinking that maybe I would go with old junk yard furniture maybe painted or sanded etc...so any good sites that you know or any hints on renovating or even finding furniture like that would be fantastic, I know you crafter's are an untapped font of knowledge...I was thinking maybe charity shops or junk shops but there's not many here...I feel a quick google coming on lol...what would we all do without search engines...hhhhhmmmmm I wonder why they call them engines....oops there I go again lol...right onto my card for today which is for our new special monthly challenge at Just Magnolia and hAnglar and sTanglar challenge and this time its my choice to be host and the theme is Anything Goes with an added option of adding lace, of course you don't need to add lace, just anything you fancy...I used this gorgeous cute little hAnglar girl and I paper pieced here (yes I know yet again lol), this time I made her skirt stand out a little for a bit more dimension and coloured the rest with Distress inks...right now how lush is this paper, its double sided and is from Sassafras Lass and is called Serendipity Daisy Dots...I have a feeling I might have bought this at the NEC last year but I wish I had bought more from this range wherever it was from...I added some lace and ribbon from my stash and cut out some of the flowers and added pearls to the their centres...the fab sketch is from Papertake Weekly challenge...I'm going to make a nice meal for Phil coming home tonight, I have really missed him since we came back from hols you know...so I have to go to the supermarket today gggrrroooaaannnn...whatever your up to today have a brilliant sunny one and when you have time pop on over to Just Magnolia to check out the rest of our wonderful DT's work

Our new baby arrived - CLP Challenge Sketch + Sir Stampalot challenge bring on the bling

Good morning everyone...we took delivery of our brand new baby yesterday...our new car arrived, we went for a drive and its so weird that although it a teeny bit less powerful than the last one it feels more powerful...have you anything exciting happening this weekend if you are as I'm a motorbike widow (my husband marshalls roadracing) this weekend go on make me jealous lol...anyway my card for today is using the fabulous sketch at CLP challenge, isnt it a brill one and although its hard to see there's loads of glitter glue on this so I'm entering it in the Sir Stampalot challenge too...I used this fantastic little fella isn't he just a perfect image for a Baby's First Christmas, its called I even love the Box and of course hes from Mo's Digital Pencil, hes coloured with Distress inks...the incredible paper is a double sided one from Sassafras Lass haven't a clue what its called because the scalloped border is actually the reverse of the bottom name edge which I stuck down before realising I hadn't kept the name oops lol...I finished my card with some coloured string from my stash...I hope you like it...whatever your up to today have a brilliant time
Oh and by the way there is no way on this planet my image in a swimmy is appearing anywhere on the net lol
