I found some...

Good morning everyone how was your weekend anything exciting happening...we didn't get up to much at all really just a quick visit into town for nothing exciting (that's unless you call light bulbs exciting)...I was having a bit of a search of my craft room though and I found four small sheets of my last paper pad so happy days at least I could have a colour and know the inks would spread well anyway...I will just have to scrap the last pad I think, it sticks in my throat a bit though as they are super expensive and I hate wasting things like that...I was thinking though (always a dangerous idea lol) maybe I should cut a bit of a sheet and send it into the manufacturers and see what is wrong with it...might be worth a shot don't you think...thank you all so much for your get well wishes for my poor Dads eye, it spread across his face a little but I'm pleased to say its now clearing up so at least no more freaking out when I look at him thank goodness lol...btw let me know if you think my colouring is a lot better with these old papers than with the rubbish ones, I think it is but it might be wishful thinking...anyway onto my card for today which is using a bit of the old paper to colour...this little cutie is of course from Mo's Digital Pencil...isn't she so so beautiful and I love the toy rabbit don't you...shes called Em Praying and I used my distress inks to colour her...the lush papers are from the Kaisercraft - Bundle of Joy 6.5"x6.5" Paper Pad from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...I love the soft gentle colours in this pad don't you...I added a huge bow made from Organza Ribbon - Dark Green (25mm Wide) ,a heart embellishment I found in a box and a few pearls from the Mixed Bag 3mm Flat backed Pearls to finish...the fab sketch is from the Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 challenge and I'm also entering it for the Crafty Calendar Challenge, Sister Act Challenge and Papertake Weekly Challenge too...I have a few things to do today so its out and about for me...best get the war paint on...whatever your up to today have a good one and wherever you are I hope your safe and dry

Freaky...

Good morning everyone how has your week been?, anything exciting to tell me about...how freaky is this weather, would you believe it was 16c yesterday, that's a spring day here (in fact some summer days too lol)...but in December that is just plain freaky isn't it...today is a sad day for our family but especially for my lovely Dad, its the anniversary of my Mums passing and my Sister is over to visit from England and my younger Sister is coming from Belfast with her family so we will all be together so my Dad has his whole family for support...I like to think of the good times with my Mum rather than her not being her...she had a wicked sense of humour and the most wonderful hazel coloured eyes...a beautiful woman inside and out...she would love that we will all be together this weekend she loved her family with a passion and we all loved her too...what you going to be up to this weekend?...right now onto my card for today...I think this fab Wild Rose Studio stamp is so so cute don't you...its so perfectly christmassy...this is called Wild Rose Studio - Antoine at Postbox and I coloured it with my usual distress inks and any excuse to use more Stickles Glitter Glue - Star Dust so I glittered all the snow up...I used more of the beautiful Kaisercraft - Holly Bright 6.5"x6.5" Paper Pad  papers (isn't that metallic embossed one fab) and cut some sentiments from the paper to add to the tag...I added a bow made with Gingham Wired Edge Gold Thread Ribbon - Burgundy and a few buttons from the Primary - 25g button pack...the lush sketch is from Sketch Saturday Challenge but I turned it on its side and I'm also entering it for the Cute Card Thursday challenge and Papertake Weekly Challenge too, everything I used on my card today was from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...well this morning I have loads more cutting out to do for my beautiful Niece's wedding invitations...would you believe over the last couple of day I have cut out by hand 230 pieces of card and paper...my poor aching fingers lol...it will be worth it though as even if I say so myself they are fabulous...then will be seeing my Sister and Dad this afternoon so I better make a move and get started...whatever your up to today I hope whatever your doing is special and fun

aaaarrrrggghhhhh revenge of the dreaded red...

Good morning everyone did you have a fab weekend?...well the Christmas tree is finally finished and the one in the kitchen too and Phil even did some more baking today...I did a little bit of Christmas shopping but still haven't made a dent in it yet 'groan' but never mind its a start isn't it...the weather was terrible here yesterday and I stepped out the car umbrella in hand ready for it, opened the umbrella and it immediately flew inside out bending and snapping it, umbrella has just gone onto my Christmas wish list lol...my card for today is for our new challenge at Bunny Zoe's Crafts monthly challenge, this month the theme is Wings but I have to apologise for the dreadful colouring on today's card...the dreaded red distress inks got its revenge for me saying I had cracked it yesterday...I got the whole of this gorgeous Whimsy stamp coloured and then got out the dreaded red...the paper was damp from the other colours so when I added red it just went wild lol...it didn't help that Phil said 'they are just a bit too red aren't they' about it, well yes just state the bleeding obvious why don't you lol... this gorgeous badly coloured stamp is called Whimsy Four Calling Birds and I used my distress inks for it...I paper pieced their cute little hats and added loads of Stickles Glitter Glue - Star Dust, the fabulous sentiment is another of the AmyR Stamps Christmas Verses II set of stamps and the lush papers are from the Kaisercraft - Holly Bright 6.5"x6.5" Paper Pad, I finished my card with a bow made from Organza Ribbon - Burgundy (25mm Wide), a rose from the Kaisercraft Paper Blooms - Honey (10pcs) pack and a few scattered flowers from the Blossoms - Resin Flower Pansy set...the tag I used for the sentiment is from the same paper pad, everything I used on my card today is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...I made the sketch up as I went along but am entering this for the Papertake Weekly Challenge, Card Makin Mamas Challenge and the Sweet Stampin' Challenge too...O need to have a bit of a catch up with my DT work today and start the wedding invitations for my lovely Niece too so busy busy busy...whatever your up to today I hope you have fun and I'm so sorry again for the sunburnt Robins lol

extreme paper piecing...

Good morning everyone how are you all?...well and enjoying your first weekend shopping fest of the festive season I hope...sorry I didn't post anything yesterday but life sorta sneaked into the crafting time, it has a way of doing that now and again doesn't it lol...it was the festive light switch on in our local town last evening and we had planned to go to it so we headed off nice ad early to have a bite to eat first and as we got out of the car the heavens opened ad I don't mean a shower but it starting raining so hard it was bouncing off the car park ground, so with that and the really high wings we decided standing in it watching the lights being switched on wouldn't be happening...so after our food we headed home to sit in front of a roaring fire instead...oooohhhhhh are we getting old or just sensible enough not to get drenched watching lights being switched on, I'm going with the latter one lol...right now onto my card for today...how adorable is this brand spanking new Whimsy Stamp...its called Whimsy Elf Frame...I coloured him with my usual distress inks and then went to the extreme with my paper piecing, I couldn't stop and even paper pieced the border, holly and bow...I stopped at his lovely little face thank goodness lol...isn't this stamp just the perfect kids image for a Christmas card...all the fabulous papers are from the Kaisercraft - Holly Bright 6.5"x6.5" Paper Pad, the tag is from the same pad but the sentiment is from the stunning CC Designs AmyR Stamps Christmas Verses II, this is a fantastic stamp set at a fantastic price and perfect for all your Christmas tag or verses...I love it and you will see it on loads more of my cards, I finished with a bow made from Gingham Wired Edge Gold Thread Ribbon - Burgundy and a few scattered flowers from the Blossoms - Resin Flower Pansy set...everything I used is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...the fab sketch is from the Papertake Weekly Challenge and I'm also entering it for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge and the Stampin' For The Weekend challenge too...poor Phil is having to work all day today there's a new computer system being installed at work so he will have square eyes when he finally gets home bless him so I'm heading out to hopefully get my Dad Christmas present so wish me luck I will need it lol...whatever your up to today whatever it is I hope its fun

50 shades of grey and a splash of red...

Good morning everyone I hope you all had a fantastic week and are all well and happy...things and problems are a little better now but not quite there just yet but poor little Sumo cat isn't well bless her...she spent the last three days at the vets on a drip and loads of tests, x rays, scans and tablets...shes well enough to be home now but still isn't well...she had an enlarged liver, a blocked bile duct and they have found a large lump on her x ray but they aren't sure what it is...it doesn't sound too good does it...it was horrendous three of us trying to get her to take her tablets last night and she spent ages frothing at the mouth the poor little thing...she isn't eating so we cant hide them in her food at all so any hints from all you cat owners out there would be fantastic...omg how horrendously expensive are vets its way over board already and the treatment hasn't finished yet...fingers crossed she stays ok as shes about 13 years old and doesn't look too bad for her age, a bit round on the hips but aren't we all when we are getting on a bit lol...keep all your bits crossed for her please...right now onto my card for today, I love love love this rubber stamp Saturated Canary don't you...shes is called Blanche and I couldn't resist the grey and red for her...I coloured her with my distress inks and teamed her up with these stunning papers from Teresa Collins 6x6" Paper Pad - Far & Away which I'm sorry to say is out of stock, but the stamp, rose and papers came from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...I added a huge red checked bow and finished with a Ruffle Rose - Red just for another splash of red...I'm not keen on colouring with red distress inks because I always end up looking like I have been in a horror movie, it goes everywhere and always smudges but I really enjoyed colouring this beauty...the fab sketch is from the Papertake Weekly Challenge and I'm also entering this for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge and the Paper Crafting Journey Challenge too...I'm putting some war paint on and heading into town today I have been trapped in the house all week and feel a sudden urge for some retail therapy...have a great Saturday everyone and whatever your up too have fun...speak tomorrow

Good morning everyone are you getting soggy yet or getting suntanned?...I wish the weather would hurry up and warm up as I'm rapidly becoming the weather police aren't I lol...oh before I forget all you people who know about animal rights, is it legal to put a dog in the boot of a car...I don't mean like a hatchback type boot I mean a sports car boot...we have a neighbour and he usually parks in his drive but for some reason he was parked across the street and yesterday evening I saw him come out of his house with a large lab puppy in his arms...of course I went aaaaaahhhhhhhh, but then he put the puppy in his boot and drove off before I could get out to stop him, surely that cant be right can it?...it seems cruel to me and if it isn't legal the next time I see him come out I can ring someone and he will hopefully get caught...even if it is legal it shouldn't be should it...well the weather police are reporting its grey, wet and very very dull here and doesn't look like changing any time soon, just thought I would report in case you were looking forward to my report this morning lol...right now onto my card for today which is using this fabulous little fella...go on have a guess who drew this sweetie...bet you can...yes of course its from Mo's Digital Pencil who else...I coloured him with distress inks and did a mega paper piecing job on him too...took ages but I ssssoooooo live cutting out don't you...hes called Sunshine...the gorgeous papers are from the  Kaisercraft - Elegance 6.5"x6.5" Paper Pad and this and the wooden letters (out of stock atm though) are from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...I finished my card with some gorgeous little glass drops cut from a spray for my raindrops...the fab sketch is from Mojo Monday and I'm also entering it for the One Stop Craft Challenge and the Papertake Weekly challenge too...I'm off out with my Dad today I'm fed up with sitting in for the last few days and feel in the need of a bit of a shop...don't know what for but I'm sure I will find something and of course time for 'put the world to rights' coffee too...whatever your up to today have fun

Good morning everyone...did you all have a lovely family Easter Sunday and hands up who had chocolate for breakfast lol...bet at least one of you did, wow can you believe its the 1st April already...whoosh and the year has gone, it will be Christmas before we know it at this rate...we had a lovely family lunch yesterday and then I made cheesecake for desserts...btw a couple of people have emailed me for the recipe for my Mushroom and Bacon pasta sauce and I was wondering if anyone else would like my pasta and cheesecake recipe's too I could put them both on here to save me sending them individually...what do you think?...they are quick, simple and never fail so if you would like them just say...right now onto my card for today and please take note I resisted the urge to play any April fools tricks lol...how cute is this CC Designs stamp, I had great fun colouring this sweetie and her playmate...its called C.C. Designs Mashi's Muffins Panda and I coloured it with distress inks...the lush papers are from the Prima 6x6" Paper Pad - Divine this pad is so beautiful and the colours are perfect for Spring/Summer...I finished with a Gingham Wired Edge Gold Thread Ribbon - Green (this ribbon is perfect for making bows as its wired and holds it shape brilliantly), a flower from the Prima Flowers Perle Bebe - Sun Kiss pack and a sentiment from a sheet in my stash...everything except the sentiment is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...the lush sketch is from the Papertake Weekly challenge and I'm also entering it for the Challenges 4 Everybody Challenge and the That Craft Place Challenge...well Phil's still off work so we are heading out to the shops today and maybe a spot of lunch...whatever your up to today I hope you don't fall fowl of any April Fools tricks and have a brilliant one

not just for Christmas...

Good morning everyone hands up everyone who is sick to death of this horrible weather...yep me too...don't you just hate it when your well laid plans go astray...plan was to take my lovely Dad out to lunch to give him his card and tell him we were all going out to dinner then a pipe died in the lane leading up to our garden and the water board decided yesterday was the day to investigate and dig it up so I had to stay in just in case they needed access to the house and garden (where there's three manholes) because they cant do it without someone being in, of course that was after the workmen had given the lane at least three coats of looking at...so plans were changed...by the way do you know how many men it takes to dig a tiny hole?...apparently seven...two to lean on brushes, four to watch the digger dig the hole and the digger driver lol...oh and to save the environment they all arrived in four vans and a lorry with a massive trailer too so not too much fuel used there lol...so the plans were kinda put on hold until we all went out to dinner, my Dad wearing his Birthday Boy badge, me and Phil, our beautiful Daughter and her other half...he thoroughly enjoyed himself, loved his birthday present (a trip to County Mayo staying in a beautiful little cottage in the mountains) and got a little embarrassed when the waitress brought out his cake complete with candles but giggled anyway lol...he had a fabulous evening though and is looking forward to going away next month...right now onto my card for today which just goes to show that you can use Christmas papers all year round...I used papers from the Kaisercraft Turtle Dove paper pad I bought before Christmas from Bunny Zoe's Crafts for my card along with this super beautiful digi from Crafts and Me...shes a Hannah Lynn digi called Queen of Hearts...I coloured her with distress inks and finished with some lush glitzy Cosmic Red/Silver Glitter Ribbon-25mm , a seam binding bow and huge dragonfly and butterfly charm...the fab sketch is from the Stamp with Fun Challenge and I'm also entering it for the Papertake Weekly Challenge (3 papers, 2 metal embellishments, 1 bow)  too...I'm sure there was another one but cant remember atm...there goes the hole in my head where my memory used to be lol...my day will depend on workmen again today I think whatever your up to today have a good one

no sirens...

Good morning everyone I hope your having a good week, anything exciting happening for you this week...I'm dead nosey aren't I lol...well the Doctors wasn't too bad...totally empty waiting room, no waiting for appointment and I was a little calmer, although the nurse having to jab me three times before she found a vein that would cooperate wasn't too nice but at least we didn't need anything with sirens so that's a result isn't it...and would you believe the plumber came and just in time too any later and I would have missed my appointment, although I did kinda have to hurry him up at the end poor man...the leak is fixed though and at last I can sit on the deck now without needing a wee every time...running water does it every time lol...right now my card for today which is for our new challenge at the Crafts and Me Challenge...this time its our brand new DT member Minna's choice and she chose Tag It...so add a tag or even make a tag...I chose to add a tag to my card using the stunning new Alice digi by Hannah Lynn she is of course from Crafts and Me...I used my usual distress inks to colour her and cut her out a little so the kraft tag showed better behind her...I used some amazing papers from the Graphic 45 8x8 Olde Curiosity Shoppe paper pad I bought it from Bunny Zoe's Crafts but its out of stock atm, I also used a stamp from the Kaisercraft Clear Stamps - Periwinkle at the top of the tag to add a little something to the top part...added a sentiment cut from the same pad, a gorgeous glitzy ribbon bow and a couple of wing charms to finish...I think this style of papers and embellishments kinda suit Alice don't you?...I made the sketch up as I went along but am entering it for the Creative Card Crew Challenge, Papertake Weekly Challenge and the Paper Makeup Stamps Challenge too...I'm going to have a crafting day today and a clear up of my craft room I think...well we all know what that means don't we...it means I wont get much clearing done as I will be busy playing with whatever I find lol...whatever your up to today I hope you manage to have some crafting fun too

Good morning everyone did you all have a lovely Sunday...did you notice I was missing?...my ISP is playing silly tricks again...my connection was in and out on Saturday then went off Saturday night and only came back about 8pm last night...I had posts to do too aaaaaarrrrrgggggghhhhhhh why does things like that always happen when you need to get things done...is it sods law do you think...anyway I'm calm now lol...we didn't do anything yesterday at all, the heavens opened and it didn't stop pouring until last night I was expecting an ark or two floating up the street at any second lol...but at least we don't have it as bad as some places in the mainland and the USA, I watched an amazing time lapse video last night on Facebook of a snow storm it was like something out of a movie as the snow covered everything including the window it was being filmed from...really scary...right now onto my card for today which is for our new challenge at Bunny Zoe's Crafts challenge, so everything I used except the ribbon came from Bunny Zoe's Crafts of course...this month the challenge is Flowers & Pearls...I couldn't resist buying this stunning stamp set from Kaisercraft when I saw it...this one is called Kaisercraft Clear Stamps - Periwinkle, another stunning set from them...I coloured it with my usual distress inks and teamed it up with one of their stunning paper pads, these papers are from the Kaisercraft - Pickled Pear 6.5"x6.5" Paper Pad...stunning colours aren't they...I finished with a few strips of pearls, a mix of 3mm and 4mm mixed pearl sets and a bias binding bow...the fab sketch is from Sketch Saturday challenge and I'm also entering it for the Papertake Weekly Challenge and the Delightful Challenge...I will have to show you the card I had for yesterday another day, well ISP willing that is...I'm going to spend today sheltering from the rain and crafting I think, I fancy a bit of crafting therapy...we all know those sort of day don't we...the kind of days when you need to create something, so fingers crossed my mojo stays intact for it lol...whatever your up to today if you have time pop on over to the Bunny Zoe's Crafts blog to see what the rest of our fabulous DT came up with...have a good dry one everyone

Good morning everyone are you like me and desperate for the spring to pop its head up...I sssssooooo wish it would hurry up, I cant wait for the sun to shine, the new green grass to start and flowers to pop their little green shoots up...can you tell by all the spring/summer cards that are popping up on my blog lol...I think Phil's mind is on the same wavelength too as hes been looking at flower seeds, planning where pots will go on the deck and looking at greenhouse's...he used to grow the most amazing tomato's and I would pop into the greenhouse pick them and make a garlic, tomato and basil pasta sauce for dinner...it was sssssoooo scrummy with warm hothouse tomato's freshly picked the taste is so fresh its unreal...of course that was before he worked away for 11 years but now hes home we can get them again....ooooohhhh cant wait... I think I will start saving and buy him a lush big greenhouse for our anniversary in March, but ssssshhhhhh not a word to him wont it make a brilliant surprise for him...all this talk of spring is all the fault of the fabulous Jane from Janey's Digi Designs...this amazing Icelandic Poppy digi made me look poppies up on the internet and all those stunning flowers made me wish...I coloured it with my usual distress inks and teamed it up with these amazing papers from the Kaisercraft - Pickled Pear 6.5"x6.5" Paper Pad I bought from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...this pad is so stunning...everything I used to finish the card are from the same pad, I even cut the butterflies from a sheet of it too...the fab sketch is from the Papertake Weekly Challenge and I'm also entering it for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge and the Joanna Sheen Challenge too...today is supermarket day with my lovely Dad and of course you know what that means...yep put the world to rights coffee time too...I love my chatty coffee breaks with my Dad hes a great talker...whatever your up to today maybe if we all wish hard enough together Spring will come just a teeny bit faster...so all together now....wish

now thats clever...

Good morning everyone are you all well and did you have a good week?...we still have chattering teeth here with no heat yet but hopefully it will be going and there will be a heatwave before this evening...I didn't hang around yesterday though, we headed out for a put the world to rights coffee, shows where my head is though as I went out without my glasses, I can see hardly anything without them...we couldn't make a whole person between us could we...imagine me not being able to see a things crashing into things and not even able to see which button was latte on the coffee machine and my poor Dad with his crutches...I'm sure people wondered how I was helping him lol...how on earth I forgot my glasses I will never know as I hardly have them off...what a scatterbrain, when I got home I realised I had forgotten to take this photo for today so headed to the craftroom only to be told by my camera every time I took one that it had 'detected a blink', now how clever is that? I never knew I could bring my coloured images to life and they would blink when I'm photographing them...I eventually after 5 tries to take some though and that brings me onto my card for today which is using another of the stunningly gorgeous Vintage Adorable's from Sugar Nellie, this is the beautiful Annabel...I love every single one of these they are amazing to colour, I mean just look at that hair...I coloured her with my usual distress inks and one more of my new pads...these stunning papers are from the Kaisercraft - Pickled Pear 6.5"x6.5" Paper Pad I bought at Bunny Zoe's Crafts...have you noticed every one of the new pads has the same colours in them somewhere...green, yellow & blue...I must have been in a spring mode when I bought them mustn't I...I finished with a tag from the same pad and a gorgeously coloured organza ribbon bow...the fab sketch is from the Try Stampin' on Tuesday challenge and I'm also entering it for the Top Tip Tuesday challenge and Papertake Weekly challenge too...I'm off to wrap myself up in a couple of throws and wear six pairs of six until the heating is on...I think a hot water snuggling day is called for don't you...whatever your up to today have a lovely warm one
