not just for summer...

Good morning everyone how was your weekend, did you get up to anything exciting?...yesterday was just as wet and dark as the rest of the weekend here...boy isn't it hard taking photos when it gets dark and wet, even with my lamp this is the clearest photo I could get, I might try a bit later to get a better photo or two...depending on how dark it is this afternoon of course...my lovely Dad arrived in England safe and sound, I hope he has a fantastic time while hes there and gets loads of baby hugs...when my sister told me about the baby's birth I could actually smell him lol...must be a Mum thing what do you reckon...right now my card for today, it just goes to show you don't need to just keep those summer papers just for summer doesn't it...I coloured this amazing Mo's Digital Pencil digi with my usual distress inks and glittered and glittered to my hearts content with Stickles Glitter Glue - Star Dust (well all that snow and ice needs some sparkle doesn't it)...this is the gorgeous Igloo and the papers I used for it are from the Teresa Collins 6x6" Paper Pad - Summer Stories, I so love it when I can use papers not meant for Christmas for my Christmas cards don't you...papers should definitely be multi seasonal tasking...I added a sentiment cut from the same pad and finished with a lush bow made with Organza Ribbon - Dusky Pink (25mm Wide) and a button...I had to get one in somewhere didn't I lol...everything except the Mo's Digital Pencil image and button is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...the fab sketch is from the Sweet Stop Sketches Challenge and I'm also entering it for the Digitally Sweet Challenge and Sister Act Card Challenge too...I'm huddled in today, hatches battened down and fire on, fluffy dressing gown on and hot water bottle filled...boy I hate the cold can you tell lol...whatever your up to today I hope you get out and about and enjoy some sun

who says it has to be red and white...

Good morning everyone bbbbbrrrrrrrrr its bleeding cold here...in the last 24 hours we have had rain, hail, snow, sleet, its blowing a gale and we have even had sunshine (well if you can count about 35 minuets of it lol)...there a saying here that we can have all four season in one day well it as certainly proved right yesterday...I was going to head out yesterday afternoon but wasn't sure what to wear or if I needed an umbrella or snow shoes lol....I was making this card for today and got to wondering who decided on the colours we should have for different occasions...like green & red for Christmas or red and white for Valentines, did someone actually sit down and decide...can you imagine a room full of elves, fairies and Santa saying ok who votes for red & green then...or a room full of cupids and cherubs deciding they didn't like the idea of orange and green for Valentines...brilliant thought isn't it...I think it just turned out that way don't you think...well I have gone against the grain today and made a Valentines card in Yellow and Blue and the reason?, well today's card is for our new challenge at Crafts & Me Challenge and the theme today is to choose or favourite colour combo, mine is Yellow & Blue atm but it changes all the time and I think mine has a lot to do with the new papers I have bought at the time...well it may be against the norm but I think this yellow and blue theme is ok for Valentines what about you?...the stunning digi from Crafts & Me I chose to use is by Hannah Lynn and is called Mimi, stunning isn't she...I coloured her with my usual distress inks and the papers I used are from the My Mind's Eye - Oliver 6x6 Pad I bought from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...I finished my card with a bow and a charm from my stash and a few punched hearts from the same pad...the fab sketch is from the Sweet Stop Sketches Challenge and I'm also entering it for The Cutie Pie Challenge and the Created With Love Challenge too...well I have one or two choices today but I feel hibernating until spring seems the best option atm, whatever your up to I hope your warm and cosy

oooohhhh the clouds are back - Teddy Bo challenge 7 + Sweet Stop sketches challenge (oops too late)

Good morning everyone as you can see from my photos the rain clouds came back here yesterday with a vengeance, I knew all that lush sun was too good to last, well I got all my lists done yesterday and sorted out the little piles of clothes and went to start the washing and oopsie no washing liquid...oh well I had a choice get ready and trudge to the shops in the rain or craft...guess which one I chose lol...my card for today is using the fab sketch from the Sweet stop sketches challenge but I did my cows tail impersonation again and was too late for it...oh well its a brill sketch anyway...its also for The Teddy Bo challenge which is punch it out...I'm defo not too late for that though I double checked, this fab Teddybo is called I love you Bunches, isn't he just a cutie and I love all those lush tulips, I coloured him with distress inks and teamed him up with these lush papers from the Prima Sparkling Spring paper pad, the frame one I cut out and I distressed the edges of the others, the sentiment is from a Kaisercraft sentiment set, when I buy a phrase sentiment set like these I keep them on the sheet they come on but cut each word out too so I can use them separately too...I finished with some scattered punched leaves to finish...please make not there are no buttons or ribbon on this card lol...right I'm off to get to the shops I cant put my washing off anymore, I was going to go to Belfast for the craft show today but changed my mind as I really don't want to drag Phil around with me...whatever your up to today have a brilliant one and don't forget your umbrellas
