Good morning everyone are you all having a good week?...well the sunshine has gone, see I knew I shouldn't have jinxed it by talking about it, I made it run and hide lol...oh well March is just around the corner so hopefully spring is to...I don't usually make Mothers Day cards because it reminds me too much of my Mum...every single day I miss her and whenever anything good or bad happens she is still the first person I think to ring...even though I cant, I even talk to her all the precious are our Mums we should cherish them every single day they are with us, sometimes life gets in the way and we don't tell the people we love how much they mean to if your lucky enough to still have your Mum ring her or better still go see her and give her a hug...don't wait for Mother's Day because you never know how long the people we care for the most will be with us...ooooohhhh that sounds kinda sad but it isn't meant that way honestly...right now enough waffling onto my card for today, which surprise surprise is a Mothers Day you would never have guessed that would you lol...the amazingly cute and gorgeous image is of course from Mo's Digital Pencil, Mo certainly has a way with faces doesn't she, look at the concentration on this little fellas face...he is called What To Draw and the paper is blank so you can add what you want to it, I used wordart to add the Mum...hes coloured with my usual distress inks and teamed him up with these lush papers from the My Mind's Eye - Oliver 6x6 Pad I bought from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...the colours are brilliant for him don't you think?...I finished with some gorgeous narrow satin ribbon and bow and a couple of buttons...the fab sketch is from the Sketch Saturday Challenge and I'm also entering it for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge and the Inky Chicks Challenge too...I'm off out today to a Doctors appointment...yuck I hate going to the Doctors, in fact I hate it more than the dentists...but it will give me an excuse for a quick mooch in town too so hey ho...whatever your up to today I hope you have a brilliant one

theres nothing like new boots...

Good morning everyone how you all doing...well I hope and enjoying your week...another day of wall to wall sunshine yesterday in fact it was so sunny I could only sit in my craftroom for about 30 minuets until I was so hot I had to go downstairs for a drink I never thought that would happen, of course I had to pick the sunniest room because of the wonderful light but didn't consider how hot it would get with the sun streaming in well duh lol...its a British disease isn't it, complaining about being too cold in Winter and too hot when the sun shines...its not usually me though, I love Summer and would dearly love to live somewhere warm all year round, but it always makes me chuckle when your standing in a queue in the supermarket in June and someone is moaning about how warm it is and I think 'give it a day or two and they will be complaining about the rain' lol...gotta love em...right now my card for today and how wonderful it would be to see a fairy get some new leaf boots wouldn't it...I can just imagine this little beauty sitting in a garden doing them up cant you...shes from Crafts and Me and is drawn by Sue Rundle-Hughes, isn't she just beautiful and shes fabulous to colour too...shes called The New Boots and I used my usual distress inks to colour her...the lush papers I used are from the Kaisercraft-The Lakehouse paper pad I bought from Bunny Zoe's Crafts many moons ago so is out of stock Im afraid but there are loads of brand new ones on my 'to buy' list, I finished with a fabulous piece of lace, some two tone ribbon and a Prima flower from my stash...I cant remember where the sketch is from but Im entering this for the Card Mania Challenge, Bearly-Mine Challenge and the City Crafter Challenge too...I haven't a clue what I'm up to today, might be a bit of crafting or even mooching or even never know...whatever your up to today I hope wherever you are the sun shines on you even if its just for a little while

all you need is....

Good morning everyone, whats going on we had more wall to wall sunshine yesterday and our deck being the little suntrap that it is was actually warm enough to sit and enjoy it, even if it was only on the way back from the bin and for a few minuets but I still cant believe I was sitting out in the sunshine, what next flowers peeping their heads out too soon to be able to resist the snow that will probably arrive next week...don't do it flowers lol...our family dinner was fabulous last night we had Phil's homemade Ham & Egg pies, salad, garlic and shallot roasted potatoes and fresh blackberry's, blueberries and strawberry's with greek yogurt to finish and it was just as yummy as it sounds too...I love it when we all eat together it reminds me of when our Daughter lived at home even if it was many many moons ago...we enjoyed it so much we tried to get them to come for dinner tomorrow night but of course they weren't having any of it lol...right now onto my card for today and its an old favourite Sugar Nellie stamp I used...shes by Diane Duba and is called Believe...I used my usual distress inks for colouring and some lush papers from the Bazzill Basics 6x6" Multipack - Antique Aged Papers, I love this lush pack the papers are really like old aged paper...I finished with some large black letters, a cream bow and a splash of red to match her lips with the gorgeous Red Ruffle Rose, the papers and rose are from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...the fab sketch is from The Sweet Stop Sketches Challenge and also entering this for the Crafting By Designs Challenge and the Dream Valley Challenge too...I'm not sure what I'm up to today but I live in hope of a bit more sitting in the sun...whatever your doing have a great one

butterflies & bunting...

Good morning everyone did you all have a fabulous weekend...ours was kinda quiet but at least the sun came out yesterday, its amazing what a bit of sun does to people isn't it...we went for a little mooch around town and even though it was still freezing cold I found myself sitting in the sunshine with my face turned upwards, its lovely to feel the sun on your face isn't it...of course the winter blues aren't helped much when you return home to your neighbours asking if you will keep an eye on their house while they are off to Tenerife for two weeks is it lol...I so wish I was going with them, oooohhhhh for two weeks in permanent sunshine sitting around a lush pool sitting daft drinks with even dafter umbrellas in them...mind I would have to go alone as poor Phil doesn't even get a full day without either phone calls from work or being called in, he even had to go in for three hours yesterday evening too so dinner with our beautiful Daughter and her other half had to be postponed until cant be helped though and we know we are lucky him having a job after our panic last year...never mind we live in hope of somewhere warmer not too far down the line...theres nowt like hope is there lol...right now onto my card for today and how spring/summery are these stunning papers and image...everything on today's card is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...this cute little girl is from the new Crafter's Companion collection....isn't she a real sweetie?...the stamp is called Angelica and Friends - Grace and the amazingly lush papers I used are from one of the new Prima paper pads...these are from the stunning Divine Pad, I cut some of the bunting and the ruler from another to finish and added some of the brand new Prima Butterflies - Divine they were a perfect finish and I didn't think it needed anything else do you?...the fab sketch is from the Sunday Sketch & Stamp Challenge and I'm also entering it for the Joanna Sheen Challenge and the Totally Papercrafts challenge too...I'm having a crafting day today, I have loads to do and feel the need to cut things out lol...whatever your up to today I hope wherever you are you get to enjoy some sunshine

a fight over bacon rind...

Good morning everyone, did you all have sun yesterday then...mind the temperature didn't go over 8c here even with sun, but there's something about sunshine isn't there, it always seems to put a smile on everyone's face, mind it does show the dust up in your house doesn't it lol...we didn't really get up to much yesterday, after two hours waiting in a super crowded outpatients department for a waste of time appointment that could have used better we did a bit of shopping for dinner then went home for lunch...poor Phil was shattered and sat down for a little while after lunch and nodded off bless I decided to just let him sleep and of I popped to my craft room for a tidy up...nope your right no tidying was done or crafting for that fact...the mojo wandered off into the sun I think and I spent ages gazing out of my craft room window watching the birds going back and forwards fighting over and eating the bacon rinds I had left out for them and sipping tea (me not the birds of course)...very relaxing but nothing the time I came back downstairs Phil was awake and I made a pasta sauce ready for we did nothing but relax...I should have spent it hunting for my mojo I think lol...right now onto my card for today which a complete contrast from yesterday bright and sunny card...its for our new challenge at Crafts & Me Challenge, this time our theme is to Add A Charm...I don't really do charms do I but I found this lush love one with the top cut off it made a great sentiment too...I used this beautiful Crafts & Me image Art Deco Pearl for my card, coloured with distress inks and teamed up with the lush Prima 6x6-Fairy Belle pad I bought from Bunny Zoe's Crafts (its an old one so not there anymore)...I finished with some lush sheer soft gold coloured ribbon saved from a Christmas box and some punched butterflies to finish...the fab sketch is from Sketch Saturday challenge and I'm also entering it for the Anything Goes Challenge and The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop Challenge too...I'm off to do what I should have done yesterday and tidy my craft room today, maybe my mojo will be hiding under all the piles somewhere...whatever your up to today I hope you manage to get out and about and have some fun

Good morning everyone how you all doing?...well I didn't get out at all yesterday because of the return of the klutz, I only fell down the stairs didnt I, which was painful enough but I bent some of my toes weirdly when I fell and spent the rest of the day limping and nursing a very bruised knee...omg sometimes I'm too dangerous to let out of bed lol...they aren't broken (well I hope they aren't) because I can bend them ok, I think I just wrenched them...ouch...point of that was though that I didn't get out so no shopping trip or coffee or anything...ok are you feeling sorry for me yet lol...ok enough feeling sorry for myself onto my card for today, this isn't a colour combo I would normally use but it works ok don't you think? stunningly beautiful is this image from Mo's Digital Pencil...perfect for any love card...this is the gorgeous Full Heart, I coloured her with distress inks and I have been playing around mixing some colours together to get different ones for this beauty, having loads of fun discovering what they look like together too...I teamed her up with these lush papers from the My Mind's Eye - Oliver 6x6 Pad I bought from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...that yellow really suits her don't you think...I finished with just a few more punched hearts (well you can never have too many hearts or butterflies I think lol), a lush cream coloured satin bow and a cream crinkly rose...I made the sketch up as I went along but am entering this for the Card Makin Mamas challenge, Totally Gorjuss challenge and the Papertake Weekly Challenge too...Im going out today come hail, rain, shine or stairs lol...whatever your up to today watch out for those things that life puts in your way they are lethal lol

you just never know what you will find...

Good morning everyone are you all having a good week?...its still tiddling down here and I'm expecting my first delivery of wood and nails this afternoon lol...I could hardly see a thing even with the light on either it was a very bad light day or my glasses need changed urgently...I'm hoping its the light lol...I was having a mooch through my cards and sorting them out and realised I seem to have an aversion to using black, mind you it is a bit like the dreaded red and takes care and time to use, just a teeny bit too much water and it goes everywhere and I don't know what is it about red and black inks but I always get covered in them when I'm using them and either look like an extra from a horror film or a coal man I thought ok bite the bullet and get colouring with black for a change so watch out I just used a tiny bit today but there is a card with much much more in the next few days too...I did get a bit distracted though, I found a box I hadn't touched since the move and loads of long forgotten goodies in the bottom of it, including these lush flowers I used on today's card...right now the details of the card...this stunner is of course one of the beautiful Vintage Adorable from Sugar Nellie and the last of the new ones I got to colour, look at all those amazing curls...this is the beautiful Suzie...I coloured her with my usual distress inks and teamed her up with some papers from the Teresa Collins 6x6" Paper Pad - Now and Then (I bought it from Bunny Zoe's Crafts but its out of stock atm I'm afraid)...I added some lush black ribbon and bow and these amazing flowers from K&Co, I'm sorry I don't know what they are called or which collection they are from but they match this card brilliantly don't they?...the fab sketch is from the Sunday Sketch & Stamp Challenge and I'm also entering it for The Crafty Bloggers Network Challenge and the One Stitch at a Time Challenge too...I'm off out today I need a walk around in the fresh air even if its still pouring down and feel a little bit of retail therapy coming on I'm sure its hiding somewhere at the back of my mind waiting to pounce...whatever your up to have a brilliant warm, dry one

not quite right...

Good morning everyone how are you all...well I hope no sniffles or colds?  theres loads of them going round atm...we went for our put the world to rights coffee yesterday so watch the news for all the worlds problems being solved and joy and happiness to descend on us wonderful Dad could sort everything out no problem lol...well I say everything he managed to lose his gloves and we had to go looking for them so maybe not lost gloves lol...its usually me that loses things like that I have a fantastic soft leather pair of gloves I bought many moons ago in Venice and I love them to bits (well I have two pairs actually one pink pair but the black ones are my favs), I have lost count of how many times I have dropped them, I have a habit of putting them on my lap when I'm in the car forget they are there and leaving them in puddles or snow lying beside the car...I think that's why they have lasted so long, they have been soaking wet many many times and they look brand new and are super soft because of if you have a pair of leather gloves that need softened you know what to do lol...right my card for know when you colour something and your not happy with it, something is just not quite right...well that's how I feel about today's image...its a beautiful one from MayzyArt and is called Freckles Mermaid...shes brilliant isn't she...I coloured her with distress inks as always but I think I'm not happy with how the beigey pinky colour in her tail etc turned looks too flesh you know what I mean...anyway its a good excuse to use her again and be finally happy with the result...the lush papers are a few loose sheets from my ever growing pile of them...I know they are Prima but haven't a clue which collection they are from...I finished with some punched butterflies, a soft blue organza ribbon bow, a teeny sentiment charm and a few scattered gems from the Mixed Bag Clear Flat Acrylic Round Gems - 3mm, 4mm & 5mm...I know I bought the Prima pad from Bunny Zoe's Crafts and the Gems are from there too...the fab sketch is from the Sunday Sketch & Stamp Challenge and I'm also entering it for the Divas By Designs Challenge and Sketchy Colors Challenge too...I'm making a cheesecake today but remembered to buy some icing sugar so there wont be any gritty bits lol...whatever your up to today have fun

blue boy...

Good morning everyone I hope your all having a fabulous week...I had a really relaxing crafting day yesterday, how many cards did I lol...I got bogged down with playing and printing loads and loads of much so that I almost ran out of ink and just finished in time...I get caught up with how many images I can fit on one sheet of my paper I used for printing at £1 a sheet its a challenge to see how many I can get on and fill every single square centimetre...sad I know lol...but my record so far is 10 of a decent enough size to colour of course I could probably get about 30 if they were smaller but they wouldn't be as enjoyable to colour or use...oh btw I got an email the other day asking about what I used for the whites in the eyes of the Vintage Adorables I have been colouring, the answer is nothing the white bits just aren't coloured is all...I don't have a white pen or pencil, I used to have one many moons ago but it dried up because it was never used the poor neglected can be a bit fiddly going around the white bits with a paintbrush but well worth it I think...I'm one of those rare people who love love love making boys cards so when I had a space left on my paper I had to print this darling little Simply Adorable sweetie from Sugar Nellie, I love him so much, everything about him is a joy to behold and hes a dream to colour too...this is the wonderful Thomas and I coloured him as always with my distress inks, I cut him out and popped him on top of these stunning papers from the Teresa Collins 6x6" Paper Pad - Now and Then pad I bought from Bunny Zoe's Crafts and finished with a lush checked ribbon bow and a button from my stash...I love this fab sketch don't you, its from Mojo Monday and I'm also entering this for the Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge and the Crafting When we can challenge too...its supermarket day today and we are off to Costa for a good bout of 'put the world to rights' coffee too of course...its a new one across from the supermarket and I said to my Dad next time we went I would take for a coffee and a cupcake...I love our coffee sessions even if he does ignore me for the first ten minuets while he catches up with the news headlines lol...whatever your up to I hope you have an enjoyable day
