runaway...

Good morning everyone I hope your all well and had a good weekend...wow the storm hit here with a vengeance on Saturday...there are large trees in our street and I was sure one was coming through our window at any second...I haven't seen rain like that in years...it was raining so hard it we could hardly see the other side of the street and its freezing too...winter has hit with a vengeance bbbbrrrrrr...how was your weekend, ours wasn't the best again we are still picking up pieces...I wish I could talk to you all about it but its private to someone we love so its lips sealed I'm afraid but hopefully things will get better for them soon...fingers, toes, arms, legs and eyes and anything else you can think of crossed for them...right now onto my card for today...how cute is this adorable little cutie, of course she's a Mo's Digital Pencil sweetie and is called Cupcake Thief, she made me smile while I colouring her, the sentiment is from the A Sister Is set...I used my usual distress inks for colouring and teamed her up with the beautiful bright papers from the Kaisercraft - Needle & Thread 6.5"x6.5" Paper Pad to go with her, I think those girlie colours suit her don't you? I bought this pad from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...I finished my card with a few flowers cut from the paper and a few scattered buttons from my stash...my stash of buttons is forever growing lol...the fab sketch is from the Try Stampin' On Tuesday Challenge and I'm also entering it for the Stampin' Royalty Challenge and the Emerald Faeries Challenge too...I'm going to have a crafting and cooking day today I don't fancy going out but it depends on if my lovely Dad (back from his Great Grandson trip) needs to get some shopping in or not...fingers crossed he doesn't but needs must I guess lol...whatever your up to today have a lovely warm snugly one wherever you are

chilly love...

Good morning everyone, I'm bright and early and on time today...thank you all so much for your comments yesterday they meant a lot to me and helped me get through a really difficult day...I spent the day cutting out papers and trying to colour, although even my colouring seems to have gone to pot lately...but its the same every year at this time so hopefully it will be in full swing next week...I was sitting quietly cutting out yesterday afternoon when all of a sudden there was a huge roaring noise...someone a few doors away had decided to get a motorbike out of his garage and was sitting revving it for no reason I could see...why on earth do people who own motorbikes sitting reving them, if any of you have them or knows someone with one could you ask me please I'm dying to know...I asked Phil but he says he doesn't know and maybe they just like the noise it makes lol...seems weird that a fully grown man would just sit there with no intention of riding off into the sunset and rev just because he likes the noise doesn't it lol...right now onto my card for today...how sweet and cute is this Pink Cat Studio stamp...its called Penguin Kisses (now what else could it be called)...it comes on a set with the mistletoe and a sentiment separate so is a good bargain...I coloured these two cuties with distress inks and glittered it up to add a bit of frosting...the lush paper is a Magnolia paper called Magnolia on Christmas Day...isn't it a lovely soft muted colour and the writing is perfect with this image...I finished my card with a huge wide pink ribbon (this is gift wrapping ribbon on a roll) and a Prima Flowers Primmers - Bleached White flower, everything I used except for the ribbon is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts and the stamp and paper are on sale atm...the fab sketch is from the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge and I'm also entering it for the Emerald Faeries challenge and the Simon Says Stamp challenge...its supermarket shopping day today, well that's if my lovely Dad is back from his trip to Belfast that is...if not then it might be another crafting day...whatever your up to today have a brilliant one

doorway to a winter wonderland...

Good morning everyone how are you all?...there seems to be a lot of sniffles and colds going about atm I hope you haven't had them...I had a really quiet day yesterday, just colouring and having a little play...Phil didn't get the results of his exam yet but I will keep you posted and he seems very confident he did ok...a little bit of technology news for you, did you know we in Northern Ireland were the very last to get the digital service, how shocking is that that it took years for the whole of our small country of the UK to supply it to everyone there...they even had a little ceremony here for the final switchover and it was on tv too...not quite the celebration kinda thing I would have thought, yeah ok lets celebrate because it took so long to happen...go figure lol...I broke my mobile too, it was well on its way out though so no real sadness,so I need a new one I kinda fancy the new Galaxy so if any of you have it could you tell me what you think...or if you have a different mobile that's excellent above and beyond whats expected let me know that too...I need some recommendations fast as there are so many on the market atm aren't there...anyway now onto my card for today...have you seen these new stamp sets from Just Inklined...such fabulous value and perfect for Christmas...this scene and couple stamps are from the Holly Berry Lovers set...there's loads on the set though not just these...I coloured them with my usual distress inks and used some scraps of a double sided paper from Teresa Collins Noel collection called Noel sheet music...gorgeous isn't it...I ripped the paper and turned it back to try and make look like they were walking into an old book page...what do you think did it work?...I finished with a stamped sentiment...I didn't think it needed anything else...Im entering this for the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge, Squiggles stamps challenge and the A & T Emerald Faeries challenge...right its off to the shops day today, I need some put the world to rights coffee with my Dad today and a little mooch around a diy shop for draught proofing for the front doors...ooooohhhh life is one mad social whirl isn't it lol...whatever your up to today have a fabulous one and stay out of the draught's

someone slap me...

Good morning one and all, how are you all...you gave a real belly laugh last night reading all your stories of your mishaps too and it made me feel I'm not the only one who goes out in odd earrings lol...loved Coops story about the shoes...I had a friend who went out in two different shoes but one was flat and one had a heel and she didn't notice until she got out of her car lol...thank goodness I haven't quite reached that stage so far...I was all set for a crafting day then like a bolt of lightening remembered I still had the menus for my Nieces wedding to do...would you believe it took me 6 hours to print all the components and I still have to put them all together all 100 of them, that menu is imprinted on my mind now, if you see me agree to do something like this again one of you please slap me lol...then I remembered I hadn't done my challenge card for Crafts and Me...so many apologies for the shockingly bad colouring, you can really tell I did it in a hurry...so slapped hands for me and I will stand in the corner until I start to remember things...I may be some time lol...anyway onto my rushed card for our new challenge at Crafts and Me challenge, our theme this time is to use a sentiment on your card and I used this beautiful Crafts and Me Sara Burrier image called Morning Glories but I enlarged her and cut of the bottom of the flowers...I coloured her with my usual distress inks and used a scrap of a Basicgrey paper I found while moving, I love the faded greens and yellows of it don't you but I don't know which collection its from...I finished with some lush gold knotted ribbon, a couple of pins, a scattering of pearls and a stamped sentiment...the lush sketch is from The Sweet Stop challenge and I'm also entering it for the City Crafter challenge and A&T Emerald Faeries challenge too...I'm off out with my Dad today as I need more ink for my printer and am still looking for shoes for the wedding (dont worry I will buy my Dad a coffee while I shop for them I wont make him go around with me)...this outfit is never ending, is it just me or is everyone like this for a wedding outfit....its so hard to decided...whatever your up to today have a great one and if anyone mentions weddings to you give them a slap from me lol
