return of the glitter...

Good morning everyone, do you have anything fantastic planned for this weekend?, I don't think we will be doing very much at all really, but then you never know do you...when my lovely Phil came home last night after we had eaten he was gone for ages and I could hear him pottering about in the kitchen, then slowly this wonderful smell started to tweak at my nose, he had been baking and made pasties and pies and they smelt incredible, it was all I could do to stop myself having one then and there, only the thought of the molten lava insides and what it would do to my tongue stopped me, I did manage a little nibble or two when they had cooled though of course...he is the best baker ever, his pies are to die for...everyone loves them to the extent he made two huge ham and egg pies last Saturday and by Sunday morning they were both gone...I didn't eat them all honestly although if I put my mind to it I probably could....right now onto my card for today and before I tell you about, I'm having a real problem posting my images, is anyone else having problems?...I can get them posted but when I try to enlarge them they go all blurred, I have tried saving them in different ways etc and they look great on my computer, its only when I upload them it happens...its driving me crackers

right now card Mina...ok...how fantastically beautiful is Winter Fairy Talva (look at those cute toes) from Mo's Digital Pencil, she like every other Mo's image is a dream to colour...I used distress inks and of course loads and loads of glitter...the fabulous papers which I think are a perfect match for her don't you are from Whiff of Joys 6x6 paper pad Frühlingserwachen from Bunny Zoe's Crafts, I used a few punched snowflakes and a huge organza ribbon bow to finish, I love that ribbon its lush, I so wish I could remember where I had got it from...the lush sketch is from Inspirational card sketches challenge (sketch 126) and I'm also entering it for the Stampalot monochrome challenge and the Do You stack up challenge...right I'm off to have a pastie lol...whatever you get up to today I hope its a brilliant one

its all about the eyes...

Good morning everyone are you all well and ready for Christmas?...isn't it weird that we all get so organised but still end up running around like headless chickens on the last few days...I always think the supermarkets are crazy at Christmas, a few years ago my Daughters other half came shopping with me to help me carry and he was so so shocked at the crowds and craziness in Salisbury's, I remember him asking me how long they were closed for an wouldn't believe it was just a day lol...my card for today is using this amazing digi stamp from Sugar Nellie, this is one of my favourite Adorables, its those beautiful eyes I think, his name is Nathan, I coloured him with distress inks and teamed him up with this lush Basicgrey paper from the Eskimo Kisses collection, this one is called Woodland...love these bright christmas colours...I took this photo in full sunlight (yes we do get some now and again lol) and I think it may have turned out a little bit too bright...I added some fab twill ribbon and two message cut another sheet of paper and just a few buttons...the fab sketch is from Inspirational Card Sketches and I'm also entering it for the CES challenge and the Fairytale Challenge I haven't a clue what I'm doing today, I'm probably colouring or walking down the lane collecting holly, does mistletoe grow wild in hedges?...hhhmmmm I must have a look...whatever you up to today have a brilliant one

a bit distracted...

Good morning everyone...aaarrrggghhh the light is driving me crackers and its so hard to get a photo looking like the real thing, although why am I telling you as I'm sure your in exactly the same boat, the photos are bright enough but all the colour seems to get washed out...it was ssssoooo cold last night a real snuggle in bed with a hot water bottle weather and it rained and was foggy all day long...I don't know if its the weather, time of year or Christmas rushing towards us but I am so distracted at the minuet, I seem to be doing one thing and my mind is off away somewhere else, to the extent I went into the shower yesterday with my glasses on the daft mare that I am...I didn't even realise until I went under the stream and they got wet either lol...well I rang BT and after many tries actually managed to speak to a human being who says they are working in our area (upgrading apparently, yeah right lol) and he will look into my problems and get back to me as soon as possible, so in other words don't hold your breath, it is so frustrating not being able to comment as much as usual, I'm getting around to some of you but not everyone but I will eventually...right now onto my card for today which is using another of the stunning new Country Cousin release from Sugar Nellie, these are such sweet girly images and lush to colour...I coloured this beautiful Cassie's Rendezvous with distress inks and used these beautifully coloured papers from the Fancy Pants OCT 31 6x6 paper pad I won in candy from the lovely Chris a while back (thanks Chris they are lush)...it just goes to show you don't need to use pads for what they are meant do you...all I added after the paper was a purple knot of ribbon and a lush glitzy Prima flower...the fab sketch is from ICS sketches challenge...I'm having another crafting day today so I can snuggle in the warm and paint to my hearts content...whatever your up to today have a fantastic one and stay warm

a bit of wind and a real doll...

Good morning everyone, thanks for all the wincing and good wishes for yesterday, my knee is fine, thank goodness for super pointy scissors, see I knew I kept them that pointed for a reason, there is just a little hole and a teeny bruise is all, so shucks no scar to show...ohhhh and thanks Jane for the suggestion of wrapping myself up in cotton wool, but knowing me I would probably end up allergic to cotton wool lol...my Sister and family came down this afternoon, wow her kids just get more fantastic every time I see them and I love love love those Auntie hugs...don't get me wrong they aren't angels and the little girl, sorry I cant tell you her name as her Mum doesn't want me to too and its her choice after all, has the cheekiest little grin, she so reminds me of my gorgeous Daughter when she was small, cheeky but so adorable, you just wanna hug her to hear her giggle...right onto my card for today which is for our new challenge at Colour Create challenge, this time i our fabulous Julies turn and she chose a stunner of a colour combo of Turquoise, Deep Pink and Ivory and we have an added option of adding glitter, like you have to ask me to add glitter lol...I love this stunning combo and knew which paper I would use as I found this sheet a few days ago, isn't it gorgeous, its from a huge paper pad I bought ages ago, I think it was from Bunny Zoe's Crafts and I will see if I can fish out the name for you...how amazingly beautiful is this Green Lady I bought from A Day for Daisies, of course a few more jumped into my basket too...I coloured her with distress inks and paper pieced the Turquoise paper, the hair I did a little differently than normal as I wanted it to look artificial not like real hair, I think she looks like a beautiful doll...I wrapped around a cream satin ribbon and added a big bow, I finished with a little bit of glitter on her hair ornaments and some sparkly butterflies, a dragonfly...the fab sketch is from Inspirational Card Sketches challenge and I'm also entering this for the Try it on Tuesday challenge and Papertake Weekly challenge too...its supermarket day with my lovely Dad today, I hope the weather settles down a bit as it blew a hurricane last night, I thought the roof was coming off at 4am, had visions of running around collecting my bits from the lawn lol...whatever your up to today have a fantastic one and watch out for that wind

a friend called Freddie...

Good morning everyone...before I tell you about today's card I wanted to explain why I haven't been myself over the last few weeks...I have been a bit subdued and not myself because of something that happened in my crafting life, something very unpleasant and so upsetting it knocked me on my bum, I wont bother you all by explaining it to you but I just wanted to say with Phil's help and a very good friends advice I have picked myself up and am coming out fighting, I dusted myself off and I'm back on form, I will also be answering your emails as usual now too as I haven't been, so please keep sending them I'm happy to help any way I can as always...I'm sorted now and back with a vengeance lol...we had a nice day yesterday nothing exciting but it was lovely to spend a day you don't usually together, did that make sense at all?...but I knew what I meant lol...onto my card for today which is using another of the stunning Fairy Glen release from Sugar Nellie called Faye and Freddie...how cute is this little darling on her toadstool with her frog friend...I must admit I have loved using this new release, they are fab to colour...I coloured her with distress inks and teamed her up with this amazing Echo Park paper from the A Walk in the Park collection called Playful Stripes, the green is the reverse...I added some of the new lush flowers I bought from Charmed Cards and Crafts, the little glittery ones and the leaves are from the Petaloo Cream velvet hydrangea pack and the lush pink one is of course a Prima...gorgeous aren't they...I finished with a ceramic sentiment from my stash...the lush sketch is from Inspirational Card Sketches and I'm also entering it for the Sweet Stampin challenge too....ooooohhhhh did you see I won the fabulous Chris's candy yesterday, I was gobsmacked...wwwwoooohhhhoooo papers to play with...I'm having a crafting day today a bit of play time...whatever your up to today I have you have a brilliantly happy one

oh no hes the wrong colour...

Good morning everyone well what you all up to today...anything nice?...I'm off to get my haircut today, the only thing is when its super short it shows all the grey, or should that be lack of colour lol...my card for today is for the Teddybo black and white and one other colour challenge and have you noticed something...oh no Teddybo is the wrong colour, I coloured this fabulous Teddybo Bo's Bubbly smiles with the usual browns but it just didn't look right for the challenge so I was going to colour him black but decided his cute little face might disappear under all that black so I decided on grey and just did the shadows...I added blue as my other colour...the fab black papers are from the Kaisercraft Velvet Ensemble paper pad, I love this and cant stop using it...I added a sheet of blue from another pad and a sentiment ribbon I found in the bottom of my ribbon box, a few buttons and its sorted...I used the fab sketch from Inspirational Card Sketches challenge and I'm also entering it for the Cardmadfairy's digi challenge which is to use buttons...right I'm off to draw a picture of what I want my hair to look like for the hairdresser so he can make it look nothing like it...have a fantastic Saturday everybody

I have to blame someone....

Good morning everyone...now who am I going to blame...hhhhmmmm lets see...I forgot to do the draw for the candy didn't I...oops...I think it was your fault, you know who you are don't you lol...seriously though it just went completely out of my head but then I'm not very well you know...right here's where the violins start, can you hear them, if you can then your as mad as me lol...I fell down the stairs on Monday, nothing serious just a bit of Mina clumsiness as usual but I landed on my shoulder and hurt my neck, well long story short over the last few days my neck has got very painful and I cant turn it left so I have been a bit distracted and haven't been able to be on the computer as much as usual...plus I cant sleep very well for it of course...well that's my excuses over with but I promise I will announce the winner in the morning without fail...well now onto my card for today I had to show you this amazing new image from Mo's Digital Pencil, hes called Come Hither and I think hes fantastic, he reminds me so much of a comic book I read once, an epic about vampires (see you didn't know that did you, I love comic books especially the Xmen, not comics but the books they make of them)...I coloured him with distress inks and a gold pen for the frame and tried to make him look like he was wearing silk and satin but I'm not sure I managed it, I wanted him to be in rich deep colours so teamed him up with these amazing papers from the Kaisercraft Velvet Ensemble paper pad from Bunny Zoe's Crafts, the colours suit him don't they, I finished with organza wired ribbon tied into a bow a pearl button and two printed sentiments...I cant wait to see his victim that Mo's working on, I bet shes stunning...the fab sketch is from Inspirational card sketches challenge, I love their sketches don't you...I haven't a clue what we are up to today, we were looking for a car boot sale but haven't found one yet, so you never know what we will do...are you up to anything exciting?, whatever your up to have a fab Saturday everyone and watch out for those stair monsters that trip you up when you aren't looking

p.s. the frame around him I got from the net on a free vintage clip art site but sorry I didn't keep the link, if I find it I will let you know

Good morning everyone...firstly a deep apology I have been so busy I didn't get around to a fraction of you wonderful people that I wanted too, I love to look at your blogs and leave comments but I just ran out of time...soz everyone...so when I get back there will be a Bunny Zoe's monthly Candy and then a little candy from me to show I appreciate every single one of my commenter's and people who visit me....well all being well we should be packing to go to the farmhouse now and I have even persuaded my wonderful Phil to take a detour to Belfast and hit Ikea and BHS to buy a mattress and look at lighting...oh and you never know he may even take me out for lunch...although knowing Phil it will probably be a a hot dog at Ikea lol...how gorgeous is this fabulous Teddybo image called Bo's Bubbly Smiles, its a set of three so loads more for me to play with...I coloured him with distress inks and yes even managed to use the dreaded red on him...this lush lush paper is just a half sheet of Jillibean Soup paper, its from the New England Chowder range and is called Fresh Thyme...I wish I had bought more of this lush range when I got it...I finished with a ribbon and sentiment from my stash...now how daft am I as I based all my cards for posting on challenge and I'm not here to enter the cards for the challenges am I...well duh Mina...although one of you kind ladies could always pop my cards onto the challenge if you have time...this sketch is from the Inspiration Card Sketches challenge...right I'm off to finish gathering things to take with us so have a wonderful week everyone and don't forget to pop by as there will be something new every day as usual...a friend said to me I'm like Disneyworld...only closed Christmas Day, do you think she was being sarcastic lol
