sand storm????

Good morning everyone did you all have a wonderful weekend?...I think we have finally recovered from our trip thank goodness, we had a little mooch around Town yesterday and went out for a lush lunch at a great little bistro...yummy food and the most amazing decor as its also a shop what I would call knicky knacky shop, you know one of those places that sells nothing you need but everything you would love to own...gorgeous pictures especially but astronomically expensive...when we came out there was a mini storm going on, the winds were swirling and it just ripped my umbrella out of my hand and when we got back to the car it was covered in a film of sand????...we are about 5 miles from the sea so go figure where that came from, what on earth is next raining frogs???...anyway onto my card for today which is for our new monthly challenge at Bunny Zoe's Crafts challenge, this month the theme is a really easy one of Anything Goes, so whatever you would like really...I chose this stunning Tilda from the new Summer Memories collection called Rose Garden Tilda, isn't she stunning, I'm loving these new ones they are a little bit smaller and more delicate feeling than the normal Tilda's and beautiful to colour...I used distress inks for mine and teamed her up with these stunning Magnolia papers called Rose Garden (rose one) and Sage Kitchen Cloth (check one) aren't they beautiful...the stamp and paper is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...I finished with a checked ribbon and one of the roses cut from the paper (I love doing this any excuse to cut things up lol)...the fab sketch is from Creative Inspirations challenge and I'm also entering it into the last ever CES Challenge and the Lovely hAnglar & Sweet Magnolia challenge too...I'm having a crafting day today my scissors are crying out to me to cut more things up, so I'm going to fish out all the lush papers and ribbons I have bought over the last few weeks...btw did you all enter my ribbon candy, they really are fantastic ribbons and there is loads of them...its on the post below...whatever your up to today watch out for the frogs

lil' Robots...

Good morning everyone how are you all...we had sunshine yesterday but why is it still so cold, surely all that sun and blue skies would warm the ground up a bit, well I'm sure there's an explanation why it doesn't but I cant figure it...apparently its the wettest April here since the early 1980's, cant be the warmest one either...Phil's first day went brilliantly, he loves it and says the people are so nice and really friendly but he got lost a couple of times wandering around...he was kinda surprised, but I had to bite my tongue to stop myself saying 'you cant find the car in a car park at the supermarket so how do you think you can find your way round on your first day'...its ok I stopped myself lol...well the stir fry was lush even if I do say so myself, but the cupcakes didn't get made as I had all the ingredients except icing sugar to make the frosting and cupcakes without frosting are like bread without butter, just cant be done I'm afraid...right now onto my card for today, isn't this little cutie just perfect for any of those boys cards we have to make now and again, I love that cheeky little face...hes from the Simply Sassy stamps from Funky Kits and is called No. 1 Fan and is coloured with distress inks, I coloured his hair a little differently and have just noticed while doing this post...its rubbish lol...I teamed him up with another craft show buy, this is a double sided My Minds Eye paper from the Lil' Robots and is called Multi Bots, isn't it brilliant and perfect for boy stamps, I have a serious addiction to papers don't I...I didn't want to cover the little bots on the paper so finished with a few buttons and the sentiment is cut from the name label...the lush sketch is from the Allsorts Challenge and I'm also entering it for the CES Challenge and Totally Papercrafts challenge too...I'm having a crafting catch day today and I'm so looking forward to colouring to my hearts content, well I was going to clear out some drawers but the call of the ink is too great lol...whatever your doing today have a good one

all about the paper...

Good morning everyone are you having a fantastic weekend?...anything exciting happening?, I would love to know what you thought of the Sugar Nellie two day hop and which is your favourite new stamp...now I need an aaaaaawwwwwwww from you all, I didn't even get through to the next round of the Graphic45 call, but then it was a massive long shot going in for it, its mainly a scrapbooking DT I think and I don't scrapbook so I'm not disappointed at all and dont take things like that personally, there are many reasons to pick someone for a DT and I just didnt fit this one...I have fabulous news about my wonderful Dad, he got his appointment for his eye measuring would you believe the end of May and was told it would take at least 4 months after that for his operation appointment so we all had a good talk and decided he should have it done in a private hospital, he has an appointment on Tuesday and all being well his operation will be 29th March, wow how fast is that...I am so so excited for him he has been really struggling bless him, hes an avid reader, in fact I have always said its a good thing toilet paper doesn't have writing on it or we will never get him out of the loo, but he has been struggling the last few months to see to read...that will all be behind him this time next month and I cant wait for him to be able to drive again so we can be off on our jaunts together, we have both missed them so much, so keep your fingers crossed everything goes smoothly for him...right now onto my card for today which is using this fabulous Some Odd Girl image called Sweet Kaylee, I bought her ages and ages ago and looked for the link to her but cant find it in their shop...I coloured her with distress inks and used a half sheet of an amazingly coloured double sided Basicgrey Marjolaine collection paper called Mint Fudge, isn't that a fabulous name and it really suits the paper perfectly doesn't it, I let the paper dictate the sketch as the large flowers are cut from the reverse and I punched more flowers from the paper, all I needed to add was some lush coloured buttons (and no I didn't swallow any lol)...I'm entering this for the CES challenge, Delightful Challenge and the One Stop Craft challenge, I have been so so busy lately I haven't had any blog hopping time but I will tonight so I cant wait to see what you have all been up to...we are taking my Dad to town today for a little mooch and maybe a spot of lunch...whatever your doing I hope its a good day for you

will wonders never cease...

Good morning everyone I hope you had a fantastic weekend, we had a wonderful family lunch yesterday cooked to perfection by my wonderful Phil, I know I'm so lucky to have a fella that makes the Sunday lunch while he gives me a chance to craft and made two cards I needed to make, there's not many of them about is there...I was shocked when our beautiful Daughter rang me late Saturday night and asked me to make her a baby card (she doesn't really like my cards so never ever asks, I know, how dare she lol)...after I picked myself up, I asked her what she wanted and she hadn't a clue only one stipulation she didn't want any writing or sentiment on it anywhere, its for a close friend and ex room mate of her other half who emigrated to Australia and has just had his first baby boy with his new wife, so I made two cards, a really modern bright one which I think suits the Australian destination and a more formal, elegant and traditional one which I thought suited his French Wife, I even finished the insides of the cards too...I will show you the other tomorrow and you can guess which one they chose

...I hardly ever make baby cards and ssssooooo enjoyed making these two...so my first one for their choice is using this amazing image from Mo's Digital Pencil called Kai in the Sand (sailboat Hat) this is the male version and there is also a cutie girl version too, I coloured him with distress inks and distressed the edges of the image too, I used a few Echo Park papers for it, the sailboat one and dotted are from their Boy collection and is called Awesome dots, the green is from the A Walk in the Park collection and is called Playful Stripes...I finished with some gorgeous striped ribbon and knot and a few buttons...the fab sketch is from the Ribbon Carousel challenge and I'm also entering it for the CES challenge and Creative Card Crew challenge too...I so hope they will love their card and it gets to Australia is somewhere near decent condition, although it stands a good chance as his Parents are taking it...right I'm off to do some food shopping today and then have a crafting afternoon because I have some DT work to do...whatever your up to today I hope you have a fantastic one

Good morning everyone did you all have a nice day yesterday, I'm shattered I was locked in my craft room for hours yesterday, trying to catch up with work but I hadn't slept well the night before and everything seemed to be like running through treacle, I bet you know just what I mean...I did manage to get a lot done but I need another lock in day to get the rest finished...I had a photo of a freaky little multi legged friend who visited me in my craft room yesterday and caused a lot of screaming and running around but I thought it might freak some of you out so I didn't post it, if there is popular demand I will show you it though lol...I had to colour this fantastic new image from Mo's Digital Pencil, this is one of the amazing Little Elf's and this beauty is called Little Elf Mim, this little elf made me smile and she is just such a sheer pleasure to colour, I used my usual distress inks to colour her and paper pieced part of her hat and the bauble...now how fabulous are these papers, I bought this Kaisercraft paper pad Velvet Ensemble from Bunny Zoe's Crafts and I have to say if you don't buy anything else get this pad, the papers are just the lushest colours and their velvet and foil and embossing and wow I love it can you tell lol...btw I just wanted to say a few months ago when I said the same thing I got quite a nasty email saying I shouldn't recommend something by saying I bought it when it was obviously a freebie...hand on heart everyone if I say I bought something I bought it I promise you and have the bills to prove lol...right back to the card, the circle I stamped the sentiment onto is from the same pad too...I finished with some lush grey satin ribbon and a bow...the fab sketch is from Pink Ink Sketch Challenge and I'm also entering this for the CES challenge and Sir Stampalot challenge too...right I'm off out to town or for a walk or well...er...anything I can think of as I need the fresh air to clear my fuzzy brain...whatever your up to today have a fantastic day everyone

yo ho ho and a bottle of lemonade...

Good morning everyone, did you all have a wonderful weekend...there's still no sun here and I'm beginning to think its gone for good from here...well at least the car boot sale stayed dry but thick heavy clouds and really dark, there wasn't many goodies to be had but I found two cornish ware type red and cream striped flower pots a large one and a smaller one for an amazing 50p each which I'm going to use as fat vases for flowers, I hadn't the heart to haggle at that price...oh and my Dad bought some duck eggs for his breakfast and got chatted up by a very pretty older lady while he was having his coffee lol...by the way did you all check out the candy winners below?...right onto my card for today and I totally love this amazing little Nellie Snellen Hands up image isnt she so cute with her pirate hat and her little pirate cat, I coloured them with distress inks and tried to giver her a darker look but I'm not sure it worked, I cut them out and raised them above each other...the amazing papers are from the BoBunny Vicki B 6x6 paper pad, amazing colours in this pad, they are mixed with chocolate and look fab together, the paper pad and stamp cutie are from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...I finished with a sentiment from my stash...isn't this sketch lush but I cant remember where I got it from but I'm entering this for the Just Us Girls challenge, CES challenge and The Crafty Cardmakers Spotlight Challenge too...I have loads of DT work to catch up on today so a locked in my craftroom day I think...whatever your up to today have a good one everyone

you cant beat a bit of gingham - Sugar Nellie DT

Good morning everyone, did you all have a fantastic Easter break then?...ours was very quiet, family lunch Sunday then everyone left me in peace while I spent the whole day in my craft room, you will never guess how many cards I made and how many images I coloured, lets put it this way I have a permanent dent in my finger from my paint brush and my eyes are killing me and they look just as bad from the outside as they do from my side too...my poor Dad is finding it very frustrating with the Easter break because everything is closed so he cant get his dented car sorted...I think he needs a coffee infusion do you...today's card is for the Sugar Nellie DT and I used the fab sketch from The Sugar Bowl for it to...I hope Marlene doesn't mind that I tilted it to fit the image...this gorgeous little Simply Sassy girl is called Party Frills and I coloured her with distress inks and I think I may have overdosed on the gingham a bit as I even paper pieced her in it...poor lamb will have checks before her eyes lol...the gingham is from Craft creations and I added a white ribbon, a gorgeous Prima flower and some buttons to finish...I'm entering this for the CES challenge Spring colours/Image challenge and the Fussy and Fancy Friday Springtime challenge too as I think nothing says spring like a bright blue gingham and this image...right I'm off to put eye drops in and get my clag on (which to you non geordie's is make up lol) and go out for coffee with my Dad...have a wonderful day everyone
