tree gathering...

Good morning everyone I hope your all well, yes I'm back finally, did you think I was stuck on my craft room floor lol, my hip is all better a bit stiff but at least I can sit and colour for a little while...yyyyyaaaayyyyyyy...I haven't been out much or even done much this week, see that's what you get for being a klutz isn't it, you get stuck on the house while everyone else is out enjoying that start of the festive season...I went out yesterday afternoon for a little mooch around and was gobsmacked at how many places have their Christmas decorations up, mind I haven't seen one in a house window yet...have you?...well what you been up to while I have been hibernating...anything exciting?...oh btw has anyone seen Gravity yet?, I would love to know if its worth going to the cinema to see...right now onto my card for today this fabulous little Edwin is from the new Winter Wonderland Magnolia collection, this is the so so cute Christmas Eve Edwin...I coloured him with my distress inks and used papers and a tag from the Kaisercraft - Holly Bright 6.5"x6.5" Paper Pad...this is such a lush pad isn't it, just perfect for all those traditional feeling cards...I added a stamped sentiment from the C.C. Designs Naughty Or Nice Sentiments set, the stamped snowflakes I used by masking off Edwin are from the same set too...a lush bow made from some Gingham Wired Edge Gold Thread Ribbon - Burgundy, a few buttons from the Primary - 25g button bag and finished with a couple of snowflake charms from the 5 x Snowflake 6 Charms (B024-W) bag...everything I used for my card today is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...the lush sketch is from the Top Tip Tuesday Challenge and I'm also entering it for the Tilda's Town Challenge (my favourite Magnolia stamp is always the newest one) and the Sister Act Card Challenge too...I think Phil is baking cakes today as my lovely Dad loves Dundee cake but hates the ones in the shops and will only eat Phil's...I must admit he makes the best boozy creole Christmas cake ever, its so rich you can heat it up and eat it with cream like Christmas pudding...its scrummy...right I have made myself hungry now so I'm off for some toast lol...whatever your up to today have fun and watch out for those lethal stairs the last step is a big one lol

now thats clever...

Good morning everyone are you all well and did you have a good week?...we still have chattering teeth here with no heat yet but hopefully it will be going and there will be a heatwave before this evening...I didn't hang around yesterday though, we headed out for a put the world to rights coffee, shows where my head is though as I went out without my glasses, I can see hardly anything without them...we couldn't make a whole person between us could we...imagine me not being able to see a things crashing into things and not even able to see which button was latte on the coffee machine and my poor Dad with his crutches...I'm sure people wondered how I was helping him lol...how on earth I forgot my glasses I will never know as I hardly have them off...what a scatterbrain, when I got home I realised I had forgotten to take this photo for today so headed to the craftroom only to be told by my camera every time I took one that it had 'detected a blink', now how clever is that? I never knew I could bring my coloured images to life and they would blink when I'm photographing them...I eventually after 5 tries to take some though and that brings me onto my card for today which is using another of the stunningly gorgeous Vintage Adorable's from Sugar Nellie, this is the beautiful Annabel...I love every single one of these they are amazing to colour, I mean just look at that hair...I coloured her with my usual distress inks and one more of my new pads...these stunning papers are from the Kaisercraft - Pickled Pear 6.5"x6.5" Paper Pad I bought at Bunny Zoe's Crafts...have you noticed every one of the new pads has the same colours in them somewhere...green, yellow & blue...I must have been in a spring mode when I bought them mustn't I...I finished with a tag from the same pad and a gorgeously coloured organza ribbon bow...the fab sketch is from the Try Stampin' on Tuesday challenge and I'm also entering it for the Top Tip Tuesday challenge and Papertake Weekly challenge too...I'm off to wrap myself up in a couple of throws and wear six pairs of six until the heating is on...I think a hot water snuggling day is called for don't you...whatever your up to today have a lovely warm one

cobweb free...

Good morning everyone, I hope you haven't been suffering the storm we have here, I woke up yesterday morning to my two bins empty at the bottom of my garden and the contents all over the place (thank goodness they were emptied on Friday), the wind had whipped one of them so hard it dug a huge chunk out of the grass...needless to say the contents and bins are still there as I wasn't going to brave the elements to collect them, they can wait until the storms die down...my lovely Dad was telling me that his neighbour woke to a satellite dish in her garden and she doesn't even have one, well I suppose she does now lol...I wonder how far it travelled, I had visions of it sailing though the air like a scene from the Wizard of Oz...we did go out for a while though as my Dad needing some food shopping but we didn't stray far as the wind, snow, rain and hail was almost horizontal...straight home a fire on and heating full on and we were sorted for the rest of the day...ok now onto my card for today which is a midway reminder for our mega challenge over at Crafts and Me Challenge, you still have until the 18th January for a chance to grab one of the 6 amazing prizes on offer, the theme is anything goes and you can enter a maximum of 3 times too, so what you waiting get on over there and join in...I used this amazing Dusk digi stamp by Sara Burrier, beautiful isn't she and one of my all time favourite Crafts and Me digis...I coloured her with distress inks and the stunning paper is a Michele R Digital Design paper called Vintage Postcard, I printed it three times and layered the flower, butterfly and one of the leafs...because the image and paper is so beautiful I didn't think it needed anything else...well I hope it didn't anyway lol...I'm entering this for the Top Tip Tuesday challenge and Magical Monday challenge too...oh btw is anyone having problems with blogger?, some of my sidebar info and gadgets keep disappearing and I seem to be dashing around chasing them...oh well I'm sure it will settle down...I'm not going out today I'm going to watch the bad weather from inside in the warm...whatever your up to I hope the weather is better

a sweetie wee stamp...

Good morning everyone I hope your all safe and warm and getting there for the big day firstly huge apologies for not getting round to commenting but I have all my DT work done and all my crafting stuff ready, including something special to show you on Christmas eve, so I'm having a commenting night tonight and tomorrow night to wish you all the best for Christmas I miss my hopping when I cant get around to it, oh and I'm sorry for the shocking state of these photos it was almost dark by the time I remembered I hadn't taken them...well I spent hours looking for Christmas gifts for Phil yesterday and what did I get...exactly nothing a big fat zero, well not nothing I did buy him a CD I know he wanted...I have a few ideas though but they will take a bit more research, you all had some fantastic ideas but I bought him the biggest set of Laurel and Hardy DVDs years ago, mind he is no help at all, every time I ask him for suggestions he says I don't need anything, I have tried telling him its not what he needs I want to buy him lol...we had a nice night last night my lovely Dad came for dinner and we made toad in the hole and it was scrummy then he stayed for hours just talking and watching cookery programmes with Phil...fabulous night even though I was bored with the cookery shows lol...for those of you who don't know what toad in the hole is here's a link that will help, have a try it is so yummy...right my badly photographed card for today is using one of these gorgeous little Wee Stamps, this is a digi and is called Winter Fairy, I coloured her with distress inks and used glitter glue, well of course I did she has wings lol...the papers are just scraps so I'm not sure who they are by but have a feeling they might be Graphic45...now I made a bit of a hash of the holly, it was a bright green and is felt but I wanted it more muted so I coloured it with a copic but it just turned a really bad muddy green...I finished with some punched snowflakes...the lush sketch is from Sketch N Stash challenge and my stash is the paper, I'm also entering it into the Top Tip Tuesday challenge and Use it Tuesday challenge too...we are making a start on the dreaded food shopping today, oh no I hear you cry, I know I hate it too but I don't think my family will appreciate a tin of soup for Christmas lunch do you lol...whatever your up to today have a great one

urgent plastic surgery needed...

Good morning everyone, I hope your all well and enjoying the lovely soggy weather. unless your lucky enough to live somewhere warm then enjoy your sunny weather...aren't our children good to us Mums, my Daughters washing machine broke down so of course I got a text asking can I use your machine please Mum, course you can I replied...but I don't remember texting back that I would wash and dry the big bag of washing you bring down, fold it and make sure it's ready for you tomorrow lol...well I suppose that's what Mums are for aren't they, well I am anyway...I had to go to the supermarket for washing powder of course and my lovely Dad met someone he hadn't seen for years and was chatting away while I packed the bags, then strolling over the guy said, oh is this your wife, I was gobsmacked...I obviously need plastic surgery urgently so any phone numbers for surgeons or gift vouchers for the same guy would be gratefully accepted lol...oooohhhh and my Dad was the one who said indignantly 'shes my Daughter not my wife' lol...anyway onto my card for today, how stunningly beautiful is this Crafts and Me digi stamp she is called Autumn and is from the new November release, I used her for a Christmas card though as she works perfectly in this colour doesn't she...I coloured her with distress inks and her dress is coloured with one of the new Winter distress inks called Iced Spruce, beautifully soft isn't it, of course there is wings and its a wintry card so there had to be loads of glittery stuff didn't there...the papers I bought from a local shop at the weekend but didn't realise until I used them but there isn't any name or writing or anything on them so I haven't a clue who they are by but if I find out I will let you know...I finished with a huge organza bow and a couple of Anita's glitteration snowflakes...the fab sketch is from Stamp with Fun challenge and I'm also entering this for the Top Tip Tuesday challenge, Fab N Funky challenge and the Stamps & Fun challenge too...there's a new Dunelm Mill store opening today in town so we are off for a mooch I will report back if I find anything crafty I cant manage without...whatever your up to today have a brilliant one
