theres nothing like a bit of retail therapy...

Good morning everyone, well we are still waiting for the heatwave to hit and still live in hope for a bit of it anyway...yesterday was much better than the day before thank goodness, I managed to keep both feet on the ground and no falling down and got tons and tons of stuff for the house, did you know there's loads of sales on at the min, well I didn't and why didn't anyone tell me then lol...I managed to get loads of the smaller stuff, like curtains, poles, cream light shades that I'm going to customise and loads of other stuff...my poor Dad was fed up with stopping the car and me 'just popping in here for a look' bless him...right my card for today which is for the digi teams new challenge at Crafts and Me challenge which this time is our wonderful Mona's choice and she chose Birthdays...this beautiful creature is a preview of the new digis that will be out soon on Crafts and Me, she is called Child of Healing, isn't she stunning...I coloured her with distress inks and used this beautiful doubled sided paper from Prima, its called Happy Birthday Jill and is from the Celebrate range...I finished it with some lush coffee coloured ribbon and a sentiment cut from the paper...the fab sketch is from The Sweet Stop challenge although I had to jiggle the sentiment and angle a bit so hope it still counts...I'm off for a bit more retail shopping today, I found some fab paper for a feature wall in the dining room so even though its a little expensive I only need two rolls so can justify it, well in my mind anyway...when you have time pop on over to Crafts and Me challenge to see what the other digi girls came up with...gorgeous work as always, have a brilliant day everyone

Well done on a better day lol! Strange how we have those sorts of mad days where everything goes wrong. Good excuse for crafting on those days I think ;-) THis card is beautiful, the colours are just super and I love the way you have attached the ribbon. I may have to try that idea :-)

Morning Mina
There's nothing to beat a good day at the sales, especially if you find a few bargains.
Another smashing card, lovely colour choice with those lush papers too. I love the muted shades.

Beautiful. I like what you did with the banner. She is so sweet and she has the pretties soft skin. Card making and shopping are two of my most favorite things (exercise being the least). Having fun are you?

Stunning card, and you are so right on the retail therapy. I popped to a fairly local craft shop yesterday to get some coloured card and ended up with 4 packs in different colours, 4 embossing folders and a large acrylic block :o)

Like the flow of this one. With the use of the oval shape and wavy ribbon and sentiment, she looks like she is really suspended in air.

Perfection as always! I love your soft colors & only you can color skin that looks real enough to touch. I can't wait to see the pictures of your new place when it's done. I know it will be amazing.
