no yellow but a touch of orange instead...

Good morning everyone did you all have a fab weekend?...we had a lovely day yesterday, we had a little mooch in Town, met up with our beautiful Daughter and her other half and did a bit of shopping then home to make dinner for everyone including my Dad who came later...I love family days like that even if the men did moan a bit at our Daughter spending 35 minuets choosing a face makeup...you would think they would be used to her by now wouldn't you, shes at the age when 2 hours is normal to get ready, isn't it strange the older we get the shorter time we need to get ready...you would think it would take longer the older you get wouldn't it or maybe its all the training we had when we were younger lol...anyway onto my card for today which is using this fabulous TeddyBea image, isn't she brilliant I love how you could use her for any sentiment or occasion, even Christmas you could make the circle a bauble couldn't you, I coloured her with distress inks and used some of the stunning Kaisercraft-Homemade 6x6 paper pad I bought from Bunny Zoe's Crafts, lush colours aren't they, the sentiment tag at the bottom is from the same pad too...I finished with a stunning wide checked ribbon bow and a few pearls...the sketch is from Sketch Saturday and I'm also entering it for the Simon Says Stamp challenge ...I haven't a clue what I'm up to today but I'm still hoping for the Lady Grey tea afternoon I was planning on Saturday, you never know do you...whatever your up to today I hope you manage to have a relaxing one

has spring sprung...

Good morning everyone did you all have a great day yesterday, I hope so...I didn't get my afternoon lying around (do you feel sorry for me lol), my lovely Dad came home earlier than I though and he rang me as he needed shopping so off we trekked to the supermarket, I hate it on a Saturday as everyone who works all week seems to do their shopping then as they have no choice so its packed...but shopping in the trolley we even managed a put the world to rights coffee, my wonderful Dad sorted out this country and them every other one in trouble, its amazing what a pot of tea can do for world peace isn't it, maybe that's where the world leaders are going wrong lol...I have visions of all the arguing and fighting stopping because its time for tea, that would be fantastic wouldn't it, mind I know it might be sexist but I think a lot of the worlds problems would be solved by putting woman in charge, they at least can see the sheer waste of life, time and money it was...right I'm off my soapbox now and onto my card for today which is using the stunningly drawn Mummu's Bike, now who else would that be by but the talented Mo from Mo's Digital Pencil, I can honestly say hand on heart there isn't a Mo image I don't love and believe I have many of them lol...have you seen the new ones she has been drawing if not go check them out...bet you fall in love...I coloured Mummu with distress inks and used these stunning papers I bought from Bunny Zoe's Crafts, they are from the Prima 6x6 paper pad Fairy Belle, its like all Prima pads, floaty and dreamy and beautiful...oh and I had to show you my new favourites from Bunny Zoes too, its these gorgeous sweet little wooden alphabets I used for the Spring word, arent they fabulous and they have like a coloured edge to them that really makes them pop off the page they come in a box and there's loads of them, 250 in fact...they are the Wooden Ornaments - Alphabet, I can guarantee you will be seeing these again many times...I finished my card with a muted pink seam binding bow and a couple of punched butterflies, the yellow butterfly I cut from the paper...the fab sketch is from the Papertake Weekly challenge and I'm also entering it for the Crafty Catz challenge and Crafts 4 Eternity challenge too...we are having family dinner tonight so Phil is baking today and I'm making salad and jersey royal potatoes to go with the pies...yum yum...whatever your up to have a brilliant day...oh and don't forget you only have a couple of days left to enter my candy if you haven't already and there's a second chance to win too just see the sidebar for the links

grey can be sexy too...

Good morning everyone do you have anything going on this weekend?...anything exciting to make us all jealous with...my lovely Dad didn't come home yesterday and decided to stay at my Sisters for a few more days...ever had one of those ideas that a few hours later you wish you hadn't had, well I decided to get the bus to Town for a little mooch, so I got myself ready which seems to take longer the older I get maybe its the polyfilla lol, war paint sorted and everything I stood in the freezing wind for 15 minuets and then realised I didn't have any cash on me (I'm like the Queen don't carry cash lol) so traipsed home to find some, didn't find any so rang a taxi but had to wait twenty mins for that then stop at the cashpoint on the way...hows that for an epic journey to go 3 miles, it would have been faster to walk lol...I did all my shopping in Town and bought some food in M&S in the way to the bus stop in time for the 3.30 bus home only to find it has been cancelled and there wasn't another until 4.45 aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh...it ended up with Phil picking me up on his way home as he got to me before the bus...seriously this is the 21st century isn't it and how hard is it to have a cheap regular public transport system, you can see why I don't often use it cant you...right now onto my card for today which just goes to prove that even a grey haired beauty like the stunning Blanche from Saturated Canary can look sexy, I very rarely do CAS cards but this stunning image deserved pride of place don't you think, I coloured her with distress inks and glittered her dress...the lush lace isn't really lace its from a sheet of paper lace I bought at the craft fair which I cut out (dosent it look real) and added some black satin ribbon and a bow too...I finished with some pearls on her dress and earring and added some to the card and bow...I'm entering this for the Fab 'n' Funky challenge, Card Crafter's Circle challenge and the Paper Pretties challenge...I found out yesterday that there's no bus service from my area to the Town at all at weekend...that's nuts isn't it, what on earth do people who don't have a car do, so I wont be going to town today in case you were wondering lol, I'm going to have a lazy day, some old tv movies, a pot of lady grey tea and amaretti biscuits and that's me settled for the afternoon...whatever your up to today have a brilliant hassle free one

Im in yellow mode...

Good morning everyone are you all having sunshine, we are having wall to wall sun now if we could just get the temperatures to match we might be changing seasons eventually...I had a fantastic day crafting yesterday, don't you just love a colouring session, its good for the soul...although I did stab myself twice, once with a scalpel and another with my scissors...but then its me so that normal isn't it lol...I just noticed after I had made up some cards, I must be in yellow mode and everything I have made for the next few days (except tomorrows that is) has some yellow in it...I think its the papers though they are defo getting more colourful and bright. I did a little bit of shopping last night, the new Magnolia stamps are in Bunny Zoe's Crafts for pre order and I usually only buy one of each collection but three dropped into my basket, they are so cute and unusual and I just couldn't resist, oh and I bought some of the new Magnolia papers too and just as I was leaving a Prima paper pad dropped into my basket, don't you hate it when that happens lol...I was cooking honey glazed chicken last night for dinner when it suddenly dawned on me its not that I hate cooking so much its the planning I hate, deciding what to make does my nut in...how do you all plan what your going to eat, maybe I should shop every day, yeah right lol...right enough waffling onto my card for today, this beautifully delicate image is a Belles and Whistles stamp called Every Belle...the Belles and Whistles stamps are a massive 25% off atm too...shes beautiful to colour and I used my usual distress inks and paper pieced her skirt and headband...the fantastically coloured papers are from the Cosmo Cricket 6" x 6" Mini Deck - Baby Jane paper pad gorgeous aren't they (see what I mean about yellow)...I finished with some fab yellow seam binding, a couple of pearl headed pins and a lush flower from the Kaisercraft Paper Blooms - Buttercream pack, everything except the ribbon and pins are from Bunny Zoe's Crafts ...these look very squashed in the packet but when you get them out and plump them up they are lush...the fab sketch is from the Sketch N Stash challenge and I'm also entering it into the Ribbon Carousel challenge and Creative Card Crew challenge ...I'm off out to lunch with Phil today he gets an hour for his lunch and only works a couple miles away so we are meeting in town, how amazing is that...whatever your up to today have a good one

lil' Robots...

Good morning everyone how are you all...we had sunshine yesterday but why is it still so cold, surely all that sun and blue skies would warm the ground up a bit, well I'm sure there's an explanation why it doesn't but I cant figure it...apparently its the wettest April here since the early 1980's, cant be the warmest one either...Phil's first day went brilliantly, he loves it and says the people are so nice and really friendly but he got lost a couple of times wandering around...he was kinda surprised, but I had to bite my tongue to stop myself saying 'you cant find the car in a car park at the supermarket so how do you think you can find your way round on your first day'...its ok I stopped myself lol...well the stir fry was lush even if I do say so myself, but the cupcakes didn't get made as I had all the ingredients except icing sugar to make the frosting and cupcakes without frosting are like bread without butter, just cant be done I'm afraid...right now onto my card for today, isn't this little cutie just perfect for any of those boys cards we have to make now and again, I love that cheeky little face...hes from the Simply Sassy stamps from Funky Kits and is called No. 1 Fan and is coloured with distress inks, I coloured his hair a little differently and have just noticed while doing this post...its rubbish lol...I teamed him up with another craft show buy, this is a double sided My Minds Eye paper from the Lil' Robots and is called Multi Bots, isn't it brilliant and perfect for boy stamps, I have a serious addiction to papers don't I...I didn't want to cover the little bots on the paper so finished with a few buttons and the sentiment is cut from the name label...the lush sketch is from the Allsorts Challenge and I'm also entering it for the CES Challenge and Totally Papercrafts challenge too...I'm having a crafting catch day today and I'm so looking forward to colouring to my hearts content, well I was going to clear out some drawers but the call of the ink is too great lol...whatever your doing today have a good one

A little tale to tell...

Good morning everyone I hope your all well and have a fantastic weekend planned...a few of you have noticed over the last few months that I haven't quite been myself and have emailed to see if I'm ok...so I decided to tell you all about it, on Christmas week my lovely Phil was told the place he had worked at for the last ten years was closing down (yeah I know not the best Christmas present eh), there was nothing wrong with the work or even lack of it, their tax incentives were finished and they were closing it and moving to England...so from then on we were in a kinda limbo and as you can imagine very worried, his job finished at the beginning of March, that's the bad news...good news Phil started his new job yesterday...even better news its here with me in fact only 3 miles from where we live so no more commuting and living away from home...so excuse me, cover your ears quick but...wwwwwwwwwwwooooohhhhhhhhooooo my mans home for good...mind it may take a bit of time to get used to after all those years just pleasing ourselves....oh no I will have to start cooking again wont I, Phil is lovely but cereal for dinner isn't really his thing I think lol...over the last week or so we have been up and down to the beautiful farmhouse we so loving brought back to life to empty it, we thought it would be really sad and although we are a bit sad we wont ever be there again we are too happy at being together full time to let it upset us, mind our house looks a bit like an Ikea bring and buy sale atm, does anyone need some furniture?...so there's my tale, ok so why didn't I tell you all before?, well we all have problems in our lives don't we so I'm sure the last thing you needed was to hear more from me...right now onto my card for today which is using this fantastic Sugar Nellie stamp, this is the cute Dougal, I love him to bits don't you...hes one of the Home Grown Soft Centres stamps from Funky Kits...they are so so fab...I coloured him with distress inks and used some amazing paper from An ABC Primer collection, its called Alphabet Soup and the red edged images and alphabet strips are from the reverse...I finished with a scrunched up red bow (I haven't used one for a while so thought I needed the practice lol) and a couple of red star buttons...the fabulous sketch is from Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge and I'm also entering it for the Totally Papercrafts challenge and Stamptacular Sunday challenge...my fab Phil is dropping me off in Belfast this morning to pay a little trip to the craft show (if you see me say hello), he is a keeper isn't he...then hes off to the farmhouse for the last few bits and pieces before picking me up on the way back then we are off to Ikea (we are keeping Phils new wardrobe and we dont have any bedside cabinets to match, well thats how I convinced Phil a trip was needed anyway lol)...and out for our dinner on the way home, phew I'm tired just thinking about it lol...whatever your up to today have a fantastic one and don't forget to pop by tomorrow for my followers candy

Good morning everyone I hope your all well...wow you all seemed to love my button shaker card yesterday I had a fantastic number of comments and yes I passed the 1500 followers, thank you all so much you have no idea what your comments mean to me and I will catch up with you all tonight...so Sunday is candy day so keep an eye out for it...I had a super busy day yesterday and was so shattered last night I fell asleep mid commenting on someones blog, nothing to do with the blog as I was having a brill time surfing through their fantastic makes but I just couldn't keep my eyes open any longer...my lovely Dad rang me late in the evening saying his remote was broken and he had bought another one and couldn't make head or tail of the instructions at all, so I went up and I'm a real instruction freak, I read from front to back no matter what its for so I know what I'm doing but seriously people who wrote that booklet how on earth do you expect someone who isn't used to them to understand the gibberish in it...I managed but I can understand why my Dad didn't...I had this vision of a group of geeks sitting wetting themselves laughing at making the instructions into a book of totally pointless words, after all why write one word when you can have fifteen to say the say thing lol...right now onto my card for today which is for our new challenge at Just Magnolia & hAnglar & sTanglar challenge...our host this time is the fabulous Deb and she chose the theme of Pretty soft Spring Pastels....I chose this stunning spring Tilda I cant remember her name though but she is a real spring image isn't she...I coloured her with distress inks and teamed her up with paper from the beautiful Prima Fairy Belle 6x6 paper pad I bought from Bunny Zoe's Crafts, its so pretty isn't it and I love all the fairies in it...I finished with some Seam Binding 1/2 inch Tile Blue from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop and a beautiful Prima flower...the lush sketch is from Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge and I'm also entering it for the Charisma Cardz Challenge and the Crafters Cafe Blog Challenge...Its supermarket today with my Dad, the first thing I do with I win my millions is hire someone to food shop for me lol...whatever your up to today have a brilliant one

Good morning everyone I hope your all well and happy, we had wall to wall sunshine yesterday but its still very chilly, we either have rain, hail or cold sunshine...has anyone told the weather fairy its April yet......welcome to our Mo's Digital Pencil Dreamteams monthly blog hop...our host this month is the fabulously talented Heidy, you should have arrived here from the lovely DEBBIE'S blog, if you didn't you can hop on over to Heidy's to start at the beginning as you dont want to miss the chance to win do you...the theme this month is to make a Shaker card and I had never ever made one would you believe...no matter how hard I tried I couldn't think of what to use...so a quick question, how do you get your inspiration, I'm curious because mine comes to me in the weirdest ways...take this card I was really struggling with a shaker card and was up and down yesterday trying to think of something, we have a saying in the North East that my lovely MIL is always saying to me and it popped into my head its 'your arse is making buttons' lol... it just mean that your fidgeting trying to decide to do something...as soon as I thought it this idea popped into my mind to use buttons and yes it really shakes, it makes a brilliant noise too...I used this amazingly cute On The Pot Boy image from Mo's Digital Pencil, isn't his face just brilliant, I coloured him with distress inks and teamed him up with some lush papers from the gorgeous Echo Park-This and That charming 6x6 paper pad from Bunny Zoe's crafts...I added loads and loads of buttons, a knot and a tag with a Kaisercraft sentiment to finish...the sketch is from the Simon Says Stamp challenge and I'm also entering it for the Crafty Sentiments challenge too...the next stop on this brilliant hop is to the lovely POP'S who has something stunning to show you, don't forget to leave everyone a comment because you could win one of two $5 vouchers for Mo's Digital Pencil....I'm off out today for the whole day, I was supposed to go to the Belfast Show but don't think I will have time too but will explain all about it on Saturday, big news and explanations oh and don't forget I will have candy this weekend too...whatever your up to today have a fantastic one and enjoy the rest of the hop

some advice needed please...

Good morning everyone, how are you all doing, I hope your well and happy and no sniffles or coughs about...we went to the hospital and got my Dads eye measured but bad news is it may take another 4 months to get it done, but my Dad who says he doesn't get on well with people chattered away to the nurse and almost chewed her ear off, he hardly shut up lol...his hearing is so bad he needs someone in consulting rooms with him or he just nods and they think he can hear them...the last time his hearing was tested the specialist said my voice was the best one for him to hear, its pitch (the pitch he hears in) is lower than normal for a woman...oh well gee thanks for saying I have a mans voice Doc lol, I think its my Geordie accent...well I suppose its nice to be useful for something isn't it, I need some advice or at least our eyes, I'm making my Nieces wedding invitations (yeah I know sucker is written across my brow lol) and I need some wide vintage looking lace in cream or ivory, I have looked online but haven't found anything she likes so if your surfing or looking keep an eye out and if you see any let me know the link will you please, Im sure a few more eyes is bound to turn up something...right now onto my card for today is for our new challenge at Crafts and Me Challenge, this time is our fabulous Mona's theme and she chose Vintage, can anyone explain to me the difference between vintage and shabby chic as I really struggle with them both and get them kinda mixed together...I chose to use this beautiful Sara Burrier image called Hope from Crafts and Me for my card isn't it so cute, I coloured her with distress inks and glittered her wings and balloon...the fantastic papers are from the Basicgrey Little Grey Dress 6x6 paper pad, isn't the colours beautifully muted and elegant, I added some wide lace, the lace was white so I distressed it with some antique linen distress inks and finished with more threaded through a brooch embellishment...the fantastic sketch is from The Ribbon Carousel challenge but as usual I'm like the cows tail, behind and missed the challenge didn't I...anyway I'm going to enter it for the Simon says Stamp and Show challenge, and the Totally Gorjuss challenge...I'm going to catch up on some DT work today as we are going to have a few very busy day which I will tell you all about later in the week...whatever your up to today I hope you have a brilliant day

Good morning everyone I hope you all survived Friday the 13th without incident, I have a little snippet of information for you today, did you know this year there are 4 Friday the 13th's and they are exactly 13 weeks apart...my head is full of rubbish like that that's no use to anyone lol, Phil's away at the motorbikes racing marshaling again so I'm not up to much today, would you believe I spent most of yesterday in bed sleeping, I'm hoping that's the end of the virus thingy I have, when I finally woke up Phil had a lovely dinner of lasagna, salad and garlic potatoes, it looked fantastic but I hadn't the heart to tell him I wasn't hungry, well you cant do that when someone has gone to all that effort can you...it was tasty though and I ate some of it...I stayed up for a few hours but nodded off on the sofa again, woke for another hour did a teeny bit of commenting but couldnt keep my eyes open so then off to bed and slept like a log...maybe I have sleeping sickness lol

I didn't even switch my laptop off which is unknown for me, I'm really careful with electrical stuff...right enough of my moaning are you up to anything exciting today, go on let me know so I can be jealous lol...my card for today is using another MayzyArt digi, this is the fabulous Jean Reading, I love how she does faces don't you...I coloured her with distress inks and had to make her a redhead with these lush papers I bought from Bunny Zoe's Crafts, they are from the Kaisercraft Homemade 6x6 paper pad, these papers are fantastic in this pad and like all Kaisercraft pads they have four pages of tag, embellishments and paper borders at the back, the tag on the image and message are from the same pad...I added some lush rich orange ribbon to finish...Im entering this for the Fairy Tale Challenge, Charisma Cardz challenge and Card Makin Mamas challenge too...I promise I wont have a moan at you tomorrow, I'm sure your fed up with reading me feel sorry for myself, so today I will give myself a good shake and get down to some serious crafting as my stash is feeling a bit neglected I think...whatever your up to today have a fantastic day

Good morning everyone I hope your all well and happy, I didn't get out at all yesterday as I still didn't feel up to it, I didn't even do any crafting...shock horror...I'm definitely going out today though as I'm starting to go a bit stir crazy and need some fresh air...I did nothing at all yesterday how lazy is that, although my throat and head do feel a bit better so maybe putting up with my rubbish conversation was worth it, mind ya I know when its time to go when I start arguing with the TV lol...btw Phil's chin and hand are fine just a bit grazed and I did give him just a teeny bit of sympathy finally, well he deserves a little bit even if he didn't give me any doesn't he lol...onto my card for today which is for our new challenge at Colour Create challenge, this time its our lovely Sharon's choice and she chose the fantastic combo of Yellow, Blue and White and an added option of using shells, no matter how hard I looked I couldn't find anything at all with shells on in the right colours so I didn't use the option...I used this amazingly beautiful stamp from Crafts and Me for my card, isn't she so amazingly beautiful, I seem to have a thing for fairies and butterfly, omg I'm such a girl lol...this beauty is called Turn to Hesed and is by the amazingly talented Sara Burrier, she is amazing to colour and I used distress inks and loads and loads of glitter, well I had too didn't I...the beautiful papers are from the new Prima 6x6 paper pad - Fairy Belle (see I told you, more fairies), I bought this from Bunny Zoe's Crafts and it is such a magical, beautiful pad...I finished with a sentiment from my stash and a selection of crystals (I bought these so cheaply from a wedding cake shop), diamond and pearls and a few sparkly Petaloo flowers...the stunning sketch is from a new challenge for me, Card Patterns challenge and I'm also entering it for the Simon Says Stamp challenge and CCEE Stampers challenge...I'm off to get ready to get myself out now because if I dint you will have to put up with the ramblings of a stir crazy loony again tomorrow (yes I heard all those people saying isnt that normal lol)...whatever your up to today have a brilliant one

Good morning everyone, thanks for all your good wishes, I'm feeling loads better, still sore throat but not as bad feeling which makes all the difference doesn't it, I think my day lying around watching bad tv did me the world of good, I'm not sure Phil will agree when he hears my cough though...a word of warning today I forgot to mention that last week I tripped up the stairs and fell with my hand onto the vacuum, I whacked my wrist and boy did it smart, I was fine but it left a big blood blister welt across my palm where I fell across the the vacuum foot...so I was talking to Phil that night and was telling him, although like you hes used to me being a klutz by now, did I get sympathy...er...no lol...his reply 'were you drunk, did you have floppy socks on or did you trip over your jim jams' oh yes ha ha very funny says I...well last night I was chatting on the phone to him and he was telling me he went for a walk across the fields at the farmhouse and tripped, whacked his hand on a stone and grazed him chin....so did I give him sympathy...er...no lol...I said ' were you drunk, did you have floppy socks on etc etc'...see watch out for the sympathy fairy she will bite you on the bum when you least expect it lol...right now onto my card for today which is using this fantastic Chocolate Smile from Mo's Digital Pencil, only the wonderful Mo could draw that smile...I coloured her with distress ink and teamed her up with these amazing papers from the new Echo Park -This and That Charming 6x6 paper pad I bought from Bunny Zoe's Crafts, gorgeous papers aren't they...fantastic colours...I added a couple of ads from the same paper pad and finished with some buttons, pins and a distressed green gingham ribbon...the lush sketch is from the Fussy and Fancy Challenge and I'm also entering it for the Cute Card Thursday challenge and Really Reasonable Ribbons challenge too...I'm going to see how I am later and might just take a little walk into town, or maybe not as it snowed and hail stoned here yesterday so might just stay in the warm...whatever your up to today remember give sympathy as you never know when you might need it back lol
