urgent plastic surgery needed...

Good morning everyone, I hope your all well and enjoying the lovely soggy weather. unless your lucky enough to live somewhere warm then enjoy your sunny weather...aren't our children good to us Mums, my Daughters washing machine broke down so of course I got a text asking can I use your machine please Mum, course you can I replied...but I don't remember texting back that I would wash and dry the big bag of washing you bring down, fold it and make sure it's ready for you tomorrow lol...well I suppose that's what Mums are for aren't they, well I am anyway...I had to go to the supermarket for washing powder of course and my lovely Dad met someone he hadn't seen for years and was chatting away while I packed the bags, then strolling over the guy said, oh is this your wife, I was gobsmacked...I obviously need plastic surgery urgently so any phone numbers for surgeons or gift vouchers for the same guy would be gratefully accepted lol...oooohhhh and my Dad was the one who said indignantly 'shes my Daughter not my wife' lol...anyway onto my card for today, how stunningly beautiful is this Crafts and Me digi stamp she is called Autumn and is from the new November release, I used her for a Christmas card though as she works perfectly in this colour doesn't she...I coloured her with distress inks and her dress is coloured with one of the new Winter distress inks called Iced Spruce, beautifully soft isn't it, of course there is wings and its a wintry card so there had to be loads of glittery stuff didn't there...the papers I bought from a local shop at the weekend but didn't realise until I used them but there isn't any name or writing or anything on them so I haven't a clue who they are by but if I find out I will let you know...I finished with a huge organza bow and a couple of Anita's glitteration snowflakes...the fab sketch is from Stamp with Fun challenge and I'm also entering this for the Top Tip Tuesday challenge, Fab N Funky challenge and the Stamps & Fun challenge too...there's a new Dunelm Mill store opening today in town so we are off for a mooch I will report back if I find anything crafty I cant manage without...whatever your up to today have a brilliant one

Oh hun, he might have meant that your dad was a lucky so-and-so to have such a young woman on his arm! I was asked at the weekend if my best friend's 10 year old son was my GRANDson. I nearly exploded on the spot! Gorgeous card babes, that angel is beautiful and your colours are fab. Brilliant as always. Hugs, an old Squirrel xx

Oooooh, Mina! What a gorgeous card - love the image and the delicate way you've coloured her!
I think your Dad's old pal was playing safe - think how bad he would have felt if he'd said 'Is this your daughter?' and you had been his wife! Anyway, I've seen your photo and you're looking good girl, no need at all for any surgical help!

Plastic surgeon? I'd like to have a magic body suit that sucked out all the old, puffy, wrinkled stuff. Just step in, zip up and nap for 30 minutes. Then unzip and wallah.....
Your glittering looks perfect. Iced Spruce and Stormy Sky are a beautiful combination for the dress.

Hi Mina,
Love the story about the washing - so typical. I showed William your post and he sympathises - all our married life I have been taken for his daughter (he says it's living with me that aged him)
Your card is gorgeous. I love the image and the soft colouring.

Absoloutely delicious card.... I love the softness of the distress ink and her beautiful shimmery wings and sleeves.
Your post today really made me laugh....... firstly, you are absoloutely right, that's what Mums do (however old the daughter is!) and secondly, I dont think you need worry.... judging from your photograph you certainly dont need surgery and your dad is a lucky man to have such a beautiful daughter.

OMG, I've just finished laughing at your tale. I too am the fairy godmother when it comes to washing which evolves into ironing and folding too for #1 son who lives on his own now....As for the wife/daughter thing. I can remember a few months I asked a client of mine (not in that sense) if the gentleman was his Father....Oh no, he said, just a friend and he's younger than me....I made a hasty exit, lol.
BTW, love the card, x

Have you ever seen The Dark Crystal, ancient I know, but Jim Henson made it at the time. There were Gelflings in that puppet movie and they had the same features as this fairy, lovely!! Your card and image are gorgeous, Mina! And NO, you don't need plastic surgery. You know men - some of them have mates/dates young enough to be their daughter or granddaughters sometimes, lol. Hmmm...then again, you might be insulted him thinking you were some young floosy, lol!

1) the old friend was thinking your Dad was a sly 'ole dog to have gotten such a young wife
2) your Dad is obviously in great shape and still looking much younger than his age
3) old friend just came from the eye Dr's and his eyes were all dilated and he couldn't see a blessed thing!
Lovely card today, love the soft colors and the background paper is very pretty!
Thanks to all involved for the giggle!
