broken tinternet...

Good morning everyone sorry I'm late today but I had a broken tinternet...rotten BT as always, I really have to change my provider, Sky have excellent deals on atm do any of you have sky it ok?...thank you so much to Naomi, Marie Louise and Tracey, you are some of life's shining stars, they donated to the wonderful Stephs cause for the Belfast Marathon, thank you both so much you will never know how much it mean to me and Steph and her family and I can never thank you enough...I swear it will come back to you two fold girls karma works I promise you...I found out the secret to preparing meals last you want to know what it is? out lol...Phil worked a little later than his usual 5pm so we decided to go out to eat, yummy food, excellent service and no clearing up...defo the secret to meal planning...mind every night might be a stretch do you think...right now enough waffling onto my card for today which is for our new challenge at Colour Create challenge...this time its the fantastic Kerry's turn to host and she chose the stunning combo of Rose Pink, Kraft and White and the extra option is to use masking...I love this colour combo and masking but I rarely do it so had to use the extra I used this fantastic Tilda coloured with distress inks (btw have you seen the new seasonal DI colours and they have reinkers with them too this time)...I masked her and used a long forgotten free lace stamp for the masking part, I used frayed burlap DI for the lace to match the paper and a damp brush to fade it a bit...isn't this paper amazing its from Sasafras Lass but I haven't any idea what its called because the scalloped edging I used is exactly the name strip from the bottom...I finished with two satin ribbons and a cut out flower from the paper too...I cant for the life of me remember where the sketch is from and have lost my bit of paper with it on, I will find it when I don't need it lol...I'm entering this for the Joanna Sheen challenge, Simon Says Stamp challenge and Creative Inspiration challenge too...right I'm of to my craft room today to finish off a few things I need to do then off to the supermarket, my lovely Dad comes back from Belfast tonight so I will get a massive catch up tomorrow with him...whatever your up to today have a fantastic one and if you have time pop on over to Colour Create challenge to see what our amazing team came up with

Gorgeous - I can't believe you don't have a die cutter (is that what you call them, my brain isn't working yet) Your cutting out is nearly as good as your colouring which as always is fab.

Gorgeous card Mina. Tilda looks very relaxed, doesn't she?!

I've heard a lot of people complaining about BT internet! I have Post Office telephone line and broadband. Not the cheapest broadband but you get to speak to a real person very quickly without going round the world or pushing buttons. Very helpful if you need to phone the helpline. Rental and calls cheaper than BT too. I'm beginning to sound like a salesperson!!

Another gorgeous card Mina! I love that Tilda, she's so relaxed looking!

I hope your internet doesn't cause you too many more problems - I have recently moved to Sky internet from BT and I had a few reservations before the move (I wasn't sure if their coverage in Northern Ireland would be as good as across the pond). But, I have had it for a few months now and have had no problems yet. Hopefully saying this won't bring me bad luck with it! lol!
I also got a good deal for my landline, line rental and TV with it.
One point about it though is that Sky don't offer the faster "infinity" option that BT do, so it's just a bog standard broadband connection.

I hope that helps!

Such a gorgeous card Mina - I love the way you masked and stamped the lace.
And your idea for meal planning is fab-u-lous - I'd love to try that one.
We've not had problems with BT broadband, except for reaching our monthly limit occasionally, but I've been looking around at other deals and Sky do have a good deal at the moment. Have also thought about PlusNet, but it looks as though they might be part of BT - the thought of changing is just a bit scary to me. Must brave up! LOL!
Love, Andrea xx

I was so overwhelmed by all your support that I had to come here to thank you all personally for your donations! :)
I really cannot put into words how much it means to me and what it will do for the charity!
Macmillan support really are doing great things. They have been a great shoulder the past couple of months for my family & I'm so happy that with your help I can give something back.
I will keep you all up to date once I complete the marathon with the final amount raised.
Again, think you all SO much, you are all fantastic :D xx

I would say go with Sky hun, we had exactly the same problems with BT the internet didn't work more often than it did and we've never had any problems with Sky and it's faster.
