christmas outfit sorted...

Good morning everyone...I need a little bit of advice, my Daughters cat isn't eating very well, she has hardly eaten half a bowl full of food since she arrived...any ideas how to tempt her...I have tried her favourite things like ham but she isn't having any of it...I reckon she is missing her owners even after all the fussing she is getting from us...should I be worried or will she eat when shes good and ready?...I didn't do any crafting at all yesterday, I had a little play of some things like cutting out stuff but didn't really get down to any card making etc...in fact I even cooked instead of crafting...I know shock horror eh, imagine cooking instead of crafting lol...I'm sure that urge will pass real soon though...right now onto my card for today...I love this fabulous little fella and he just goes to show you don't need to colour him black, let your imagination go wild or do what I did and colour some bits paper piece him a lush Christmas outfit...this is the fabulous new Edwin With Derby hat from the Little London collection ...hes great isn't he and look so dapper in his festive suit and hat...I coloured him with distress inks and the papers I used for the piecing and card are from the stunning new Echo Park - Reflections Christmas 6x6 Paper Pad...I cut some of the checked paper into holly leaves and used a sprinkling of red buttons (some from the Big Red - 25g bag) to finish...everything but a few of the buttons are from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...the fab sketch is from The Sweet Stop Challenge the Marvelous Magnolia Challenge and the Dream Valley Challenge too...I'm off out today I'm a little fed up babysitting (or should that be cat sitting) and need some fresh air I think, I'm sure the cat will be fine for a while without me fussing over her (although Phil is just as bad as me lol)...so I'm heading to Town with my lovely Dad for a little bit of retail therapy and get some things I have put off until I made a trip into town if you know what I mean...whatever your up to today have a brilliant one and any advice about the cat would be greatly appreciated

Hi Mina, about your last post...our cat used to do the judder. Her mouth must have been watering and the judder was her actually going through bird recipes..Anyway, love the image and I really must learn how to paper piece, looks so effective.

Mina, your daughters cat will eat eventually. It takes them time to adjust to their environment. Offer little and often and im sure he/she will come to eat sooner or later. You could try warming a bit up but it depends what they like x

as many have said the cat will eat when ready. be sure there is plenty of water for it. some animals do that as an anxiety response when the owners are gone.

you card today made me laugh. it's so cute. love the paper piercing. could I get that suit in a 44 tall? (just a little humor)

still looking for the pic of the cat. today's assignment for tomorrow is get that cat pic!

I swear our dog "Olivia" would starve to death if we left her alone very long. But like your daughter's cat will eat when they are ready.
This Edwin is indeed a dapper little fellow & paper piecing that suit is just "the cat's meow" !!! A little pun on words.. Love him to pieces ....
Hugs, Janie

Hi Mina, I've never had a cat but I guess it's a bit like a child missing their mum needing a bit of love and distraction.
Your card is gorgous. I love Edwin's new outfit - he looks so smart xx

Beautiful card, Mina! Now about the kitty, I suggest you get some cat toys and play with her. The exercise will make her tired and hungry. It works every time. :D

If you haven't got any kitty toys, make a rubber band chain and then insert a strip of aluminum foil in the last band and make a ball. The noise of it skittering across the floor is enough to tempt any kitty and when they nab it and let go it bounces all around. If you get tired of playing with it, hang it on a door knob. This should shake kitty out of her funk and get her to loosen up some.

Hugs,
Snoopy :D

A lovely card Mina. Lovely papers and colours.
I think kitty is just adjusting to the change of environment. I am sure she will start eating very soon when she has settled a bit more. Don't think there is any need to worry yet.

This is stunning Mina! Love the colours and paper-piecing! Perfection. Can't offer any advice about tempting food for kitty, I'm afraid, but hope you enjoyed your retail therapy. Juliexx
