the angel and the demon...

Good morning everyone I hope your all well and having a brilliant week...did this ever happen to you...I was sitting watching an episode of 999 Whats your emergency last night and the ambulance was called to an 87 year old man whose wife had collapsed as he was making her hot milk for bed...she had died and he was just in total shock and started crying...well my flood gates opened and I sobbed and sobbed for that poor man, the pain he was in brought my Mums death flooding back to me and I couldn't stop...sometimes we just need a cry don't we and of course me being a soppy sod couldn't stop lol...I thought about him all night long though and hope he was ok the poor man...I count my blessing every day for having my lovely Dad around and cherish every day with him...we all should shouldn't we...right enough ranting Mina lol...onto my card for today which is using one of my favourite Diane Duda stamps from Sugar Nellie...this is the beautiful Peace Angel...I stamped her in grey and coloured her very softly with my distress inks, I wanted her to look faded but I'm not sure it worked totally, what do you think?...the amazing paper is from the Halloween paper pad from Fancy Pants called Oct 31...just goes to show you can use any papers anytime doesn't it...I love the rich deep purple of this ribbon don't you, I bought it from a local craft shop...I finished my card with a heart charm and a few scattered pearls...I made the sketch up as I went along and am entering this  for the A Creative Romance Challenge, Imagination Crafts Challenge and the Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge too...oh and btw if your wondering where the demon is have a careful look at the paper lol...I'm off out today with my lovely Dad for a little bit of retail therapy, hes buying himself a new TV so that will means looking and pondering a few times...hes a very careful buyer bless him lol, then I'm off a hospital appointment 'groan'...have a brilliant day and I hope your all staying warm

Hi mina
Thought I'd pop by as I saw your post on last nights programme of 999.
Firstly your card is just stunning and live that image and your bow.
Secondly I watched that too and your not the only one it affected. I was sobbing so hard I couldn't breathe , I'm lucky to still have my mom and dad here but my tears were for that old man and how they've been together 66 years it just of been heartbreaking for him! It's amazing nowadays of marriages that survive that long. Such a shame for him and oh boy I cried and cried . I worry about getting to that age and being lonely . It's awful.
Anyway hope you are well.
Many hugs
Sharon xx

Oh honey. I am still having myself a little cry everyday. Glad I didn't see that one. Enjoy your shopping trip with Dad. They have some fancy gadgets on TVs nowadays. That should be an experience for him. I can only imagine his comments. LOL.

Gorgeous ribbon and beautiful card. I did find the monster though. LOL
