Tropical holidays are calling...

Good morning everyone I hope you all have something fabulous planned for this weekend...poor Phil has to go into work for a few hours so I dont think we will be up to much but Im hoping to get a visit to my local craft sorted because I need ribbon for the invitations...the lace arrived for them but not the one we chose that didnt arrive so I had to order a much cheaper back up lace, but its much nicer than I thought...the other one I ordered four weeks ago never got here, my poor neice was beside herself but we managed to fin the one that arrived and they will look just as gorgeous...oh btw we went to see a house last evening, stunning place needed decorated and a few 'us' touches but just perfect but...just a bit out of our price range maybe even with negotiating, I knew we shouldnt have went to see it, we loved the old doors and the design of it...but you never know do you...Im rapidly becoming obsessed with houses arent I lol...right now onto my card for today...how beautiful is this Hannah Lynn image from Crafts and Me...shes called Sadie's Dragon and is a dream to colour, I think my mojos back as I enjoyed making this card so much...I coloured her with distress inks and used this amazingly stunning paper from Graphic45, dosent it remind you of holidays?. Its from their Tropical Travelogue Collection and is called Garden Isle...I finished with a rich blue ribbon and a Prima flower, I didnt think it needed anything else, do you?...the fab sketch is from Creative Inspirations challenge and Im also entering it for the Cards with Attitude challenge and Chocolate, Coffee & Cards challenge...right Im off to get the war paint on in the hope Phil gets home early enough for the craft shop visit...whatever your up to today I hope you manage to fit in some crafting too

by the light of the moon...

Good morning everyone I hope your all well...I think I have the dreaded lurgy, I didn't feel the best while we were in Donegal but put it down to a chill or something but since getting back I have a rash all over now big spots, Phil keeps joking I have measles lol...it looks more like an allergy to me...oh no maybe I'm allergic to Donegal lol, that's why I haven't been catching up with you all yet I have been going to bed quite early, I have even fallen asleep in front of the laptop a couple of time and woken with a very stiff neck in the early hours of the morning, not good for the old joints you know...well what are you up to today anything exciting?...go on make me jealous I love hearing what your all up to...don't you just love how the internet breaks down all the barriers like distance and time...best invention since the written word I reckon...well I'm still on my own today although I think Phil is nuts camping in all that rain I bet he comes back waterlogged, I have a Chinese all prepared for when he gets in so that should warm his cockles...he put the tent up while the weather was good to give it an airing before this weekend, I had to get down on my hands and knees to get in it would you believe, he asked me what I thought...my answer, wheres the en suite, the mini bar and room service lol...I'm so not built for camping...right now onto my card for today which is using this fabulous Sweet Dreams image from D'Arcy's Diaries, isn't it such a cute image, I coloured her with distress inks and used some glitter on the stars and her wings...the lush papers are from the Prima 6x6" Paper Pad - Song Bird which I bought from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...I love the soft yellows in this pad its so pretty...I finished with some fab satin ribbon and a bow and the tag is from the same pad...the sketch is from Sunday Sketch & Stamp challenge and I'm also entering it for the ATC's and Cards with Attitude challenge and the Southern Girls challenge...I'm having another crafting day today I caught up with a lot yesterday but still need to do a bit more today and then I will hopefully stay awake long enough to catch up with you all tonight, I miss my hopping...whatever your up to today I hope you manage to stay dry

we should all sparkle now and again...

Good morning everyone did you all have a wonderful Easter weekend, it isn't finished here as today is a public holiday too...well Sunday lunch was the biggest of success, my poor Dad and Daughter have both come down with some mystery virus and felt really rotten (although that could explain why I haven't felt the best for the last few days) they had high temperature and felt ill, so there was a lot of leftover food and lunch was at 2 and everyone had left by 3.20 leaving Phil and me to watch Happy Feet and Jurassic Park before nodding off for a few hours...I hope they are feeling better today the poor things...there's a virus doing the rounds here atm but hopefully not everyone will get it...they all had plans for today too which have had to be shelved...I really feel for them its rotten being not well isn't it...right now onto my card for today which is for our new challenge at the Bunny Zoe's Crafts monthly challenge, our host this month is the fabulous Dorcas and she chose Ribbon or Twine, great choice but instead of my usual ribbon I chose twine...the stunning cute stamp is from The Greeting Farm and is called Glimmer Bean, I paper pieced her cute little outfit and coloured her with distress inks, she suits those colours don't you think...the lush paper is from the Glitz 6x6 Paper Pad Vintage Blue...I'm loving these fabulous Glitz paper pads...the twine is from the Sew Easy Bakers Twine Neutrals set but I dyed it a little with some scattered straw distress inks, I did this by adding a few drops to some water and soaking the twine in it...when it was dry it was tinted yellow...I will definitely tint more like this its a great way of altering the colourway slightly to fit with your colours...I finished with the sparkle sentiment which is from the same GF stamp Glimmer Bean...we should all feel like we sparkle now and again shouldn't we, even if its just us that notices lol...the sketch is from Sweet Stampin but I'm like the cows tail, always behind lol...I missed the deadline for it...I'm entering it for The Cutie Pie Challenge, Anyone for Anya challenge and the ATC's & Cards with attitude challenge...I'm off to the supermarket with my lovely Dad today is hes feeling any better, I don't think its a good idea but he wants to go out for food shopping so will do as I'm told lol...whatever your up to today have a fantastic Easter Monday and when you have time check out the rest of our wonderful DT's work over at Bunny Zoe's Crafts challenge
