spring fresh...

Good morning everyone, how are you all...are you all well and happy I hope so...my lovely Dad is back from his travels again and he looks so well, its brilliant to have him back and we will be heading out to the supermarket today to stock up his cupboards...btw I have the freshest breath in Britain today lol, I was cleaning the kitchen cupboards so the new people wouldn't have too yesterday and was using a flash cleaner with added fabreze and getting on fine...a bit too fast though as I sprayed it the wrong way round and gave my face a good dosing lol...duh how thick am I, oh well it freshened my breath anyway lol...am I nuts doing this much cleaning for leaving a house or are you all the same, I couldn't bear the thought of it being dirty for the next owners and would hate it myself...please tell me Im not crazy lol...oh I forgot yesterday to say where we were going on holiday didn't I, I just grabbed the first bargain flight I could see and booked it so we are heading to Majorca and ooohhhhh I do love a bargain don't you lol....right now onto my card for today, isn't this beautiful Annabelle digi from Make It Crafty gorgeous, I coloured her with distress inks and used some stunning papers from the My Mind's Eye - A Happy Heart 6x6 Pad, I love the lush colour combo in this pad and its from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...I finished with a huge Prima metal flower, some pearls (yes these are the ones from under the sofa lol) and a ceramic sentiment...the fab sketch is from Tuesday morning sketches challenge and I'm also entering it for the Allsorts Challenge and Craft Your Days Away Challenge too...right I'm off to get the war paint on for the battle of the trolleys at the supermarket but a put the world to rights coffee and some cake will help I'm sure...whatever your up to today I hope its a brilliant one

A stunning card and the image is sooooooo gorgeous and beautiful coloured Mina!!!
You are not nuts, I'm just the same even though I know the new people will start doing it all over again to give it "their smell"! So I scrub in the old and the new house and am a wreck by the time the entire moving thing is over LOL!!!!

Hugs, Irene

Fabulous cards since my last visit Mina. As for the cleaning, it's a woman thing isn't it, we couldn't bear the thought of what folks would say about us if we left it dirty :o)

Hey Mina, good to hear that the holiday has been a real tonic for your dad. I get the whole clean house thing as I left my previous house totally spotless when I moved. I even left info about gas, electric, phone, local GPs, bin collections etc etc! It was such a pretty house and it nearly broke my heart when I moved into it to discover that the previous occupants had 'trashed' it in the time it took to sign and exchange contracts. I had paid money for all the carpets but they turned out to be full of fleas and sodden with cat wee and had to be thrown out immediately. This made moving in a really nasty experience and so I wanted my lovely home to be full of happiness from the start for the new owner. The new owner really appreciated everything I'd done and sent me a lovely thank you card to say what a nice start he had to his life in his new home.
Your card is lovely, fabby colouring and an all too tempting image! Happy Thursday, Jo x

Gorgeous card, Mina! Love the papers and the image! Great coloring! You are not nuts! I've done the very same thing every time I've moved. Only wish the owners of the houses I've moved into did the same.

Certainly not nuts Mina, My house was cleaned to within an inch of its life....ha-ha Nothing nicer than to be able to move your furniture in and know everything is beautifully clean. I think it was abit overboard cleaning your face though!...lol

A beautiful card, Mina. And I love that flower! And I think you are absolutely right to leave your house clean - this is part of our old fashioned morals "do unto others..." that are so sadly missing from society today! I always leave a welcome to your new home card and a little plant in a pot after cleaning! Hugs, Lesley
