Beware of supermarket rage + My last DT card for Truly Scrumptious Challenge 48-Thinking of Summer

Good morning everyone...firstly huge apologies for not getting round to commenting but hopefully I can stay awake long enough to do some serious commenting today bits crossed...is it just me or is there a load of angry people about these days?...I had to go to the supermarket with my Dad yesterday and as I wasn't feeling the best and he is on two crutches we were toodling (technical term for not speeding) around the supermarket minding our own business heading for the checkout when this, lets call her mature, woman tried to dash in front of us but didn't quite make it and swore at me, now not just swore but called me the F word that rhythms with trucker, how rude is that, now normally I would give as good as I get but couldn't be chuffed with her and decided to ignore her but my Dad bless him was ready to have a go, it only hit me later and I was hopping mad by then so the next day I see her in there minding her own business she will get the shock of my life when I call her the same...now onto my card for today which is a sad one for me, I have been with Truly Scrumptious since the beginning and it was my first ever DT spot and the fabulous Sharon and the DT girls are a dream to work with, but I have decided to move onto other things and leave, how sad is that but sometimes you know the time is right don't you...I have loved being on the team and will still be joining in with the challenges, today's sketch has the added theme of Thinking of Summer...I used this fabulous Sweet November Coriander digi from All that Scraps coloured with Distress inks, the amazing paper is from Websters Pages Life Portrait range and is called Your Life, Beautiful, stunning isn't it, there's something about Websters pages that makes me want to cut it out and layer it up which is what I did with the flowers and butterfly and I finished with lush sating ribbon...I hope you will give Truly Scrumptious a go as the sketches are always so lush to work with...right no supermarkets for me today I'm hiding in case I meet anymore OAP's with rage...have a brilliant day everyone

Beautiful card Mina, perfect to cheer up a cold, grey morning. Sorry you are stepping down from TS but fully understand where you are coming from on that one. Perhaps if you see that horrible rude woman again you should point out to her that unnecessary aggression is one of the signs of Alzheimers, that should give her something to think about! Hugs, Sxx

Hi Mina. Love the subtle shades on this one. Fab blousey bow! I am sure that Truly Scrumptious will really miss your fabulous contributions. I hope your next shopping trip with your father is less 'eventful'. Cherish each one with him - I have been there 'toodling' along.

Hi Mina, as a checkout operator I know just what you mean. Peeps are always in too much of a hurry to take time to smell the roses and see the beauty around them, which is very sad indeed!
Your card is so beautiful, gorgeous colours. Yes, the time comes to move on and you have to follow your instincts. Good luck with whatever you do :o)

Hi Mina,
This card is gorgeous. I love the colours and the image is charming. Fantastic work.
I would have asked the "lady" what the name of her charm school was because it had obviously made her such a charming person.

I wouldn't stoop to her level, I heard she saw your cards on your blog and she can't craft for diddly squat which was the reason for her calling you a foodlywhacker. Jealousy eh, gorgeous card x

Awwww Mina, what an absolutely amazing card. Love you wonderful coloring of this beautiful image. Thanks for sharing the supermarket story with us. Some people just wake up being old cranky pants so next time you see her just smile & tell her to have a nice day ... Maybe she was having a bad day cuz her husband took away her craft charge card ...

Hello there Mina, this is a gorgeous card, I love the way you use the soft apricot colours or is that just the light? beautiful whatever it is.

I always wonder what sort of a life they lead, these people who attack so ferociously, I think they must be very sad and unhappy. It's really unfortunate that you and your Dad were on the receiving end of all that vitriol but don't let her spoil your day, hope you're feeling better everyday:0) xxx

Another gorgeous card Mina - I love the image and the papers, and the butterfly looks beautiful.
Sorry you had such an encounter in the supermarket - you probably did the right thing to ignore her - I can't believe the attitude of some people, and I hope you don't have to go through that again!
Love, Andrea xx

I know just what you mean about the angry people out there, Mina especially those who only seem to think about themselves and getting what they want no matter who else they have to run down in the process!
Anyhoo, I'll get off my soapbox to say that this card is really gorgeous and seems to have a really romantic feel to it. You clearly have a knack for spotting the lush ribbon that's avaialble out there so I think I'll come shopping with you next time!
So glad that you're feeling well enough to go commenting and many thanks for those you left on my blog- I really appreciate it!

I love that paper too, gorgeous bow and sweet fairy! And LOL about that "mature" woman. You are one mellow lady. I was thinking I would've been like your dad, but as I think more, she sounds nutso - should have told her that the "9 marbles of less" (9 items or less) line was over there, LOL. Yup, there's a lot of angry people out there, but there's a lot of nuts out there, too, bwahahaha.

Lovely card, Mina, but do try and ignore the nasty and certainly not "mature" person with the bad mouth if you do see her again. Yes she is deserving of the sharp edge of your tongue but you are soooooo much better than that so don't let her drag you down. Rise above it! Hugs, Lesley
