is it vintage or just a rubbish photo...

Good morning everyone I hope your all well and having a fabulous week so far...I'm feeling loads better today (thank goodness for that I hear you all cry), boy have I felt sorry for myself over the last few days, I just reread my posts and what a moaning minnie I was...well hopefully that is it and I'm well on the mend...Phil came in from work last night and I could see the relief on his face bless him, I'm sure he was fed up with me too lol...I'm even going out this afternoon, out to lunch with my stunningly beautiful Daughter, no doubt I will be on handbag duty in changing rooms too while she moans at how her size 8/10 shape is too fat 'groan', I think one of my legs is that size or it was at one time lol...I'm sure she will be in need of something before her and her other half head of to Amsterdam on Monday, something she couldn't possibly go away without, we all know that feeling don't we...right now onto my card for today...now I'm not sure if its vintage looking or the photo is just rubbish in this faded light we have atm (I so miss my daylight lamp, but hopefully will get a new bulb today)...well I'm going with its vintage and I'm sticking with it lol...this is the stunningly beautiful Alisa with Roses from Mo's Digital Pencil...Mo is a genius the way she can put such movement into her images isn't she...I coloured her with distress inks and teamed her up with one of the new pads I bought from Bunny Zoe's Crafts (see I told you they would appear this week, this is the first second one tomorrow)...this is the stunningly beautiful Kaisercraft - Sweet Nothings 6.5"x6.5" Paper Pad (sssshhhhh on sale atm too) look at those roses, gorgeous isn't it and like all Kaisercraft pads there's 4 pages of tags and borders etc at the back, I used one of the tags behind my image and finished with a satin bow...the fab sketch is from Tuesday Morning Sketches and I'm also entering it for the Truly Scrumptious challenge, its their last one too...right I better get my war paint on, I'm at the age I don't even put the bin out without mascara and lippy...whatever your up to today I hope you have a fabulous one

Good morning everyone...omg how cold is it, you wouldn't believe that this time last week I was putting sun cream on before we went out...its freaky isn't it how vastly different it is we even had snow flurries yesterday although our weather isn't as bad as poor Scotland and its snow...well our breakfast together turned into lunch, it was my beautiful Daughters day off yesterday and I knew when she asked me for breakfast it would be lunch and sure enough at 11am I got the text...slept in be there as soon as I can lol...it was still lush though and she still cooked so still a huge massive treat, well lets face it girls someone cooking for you no matter what time of day is fab isn't it...she is so like her Dad though and gets real stroppy when things don't go right for her while shes cooking, she had several arguments with some poached eggs and I had to walk out the kitchen so she didn't see me giggling lol...onto my card for today which is for our new challenge at Crafts and Me challenge...the supertalented Carol is our host this time and she chose the theme of Bows and Butterflies, I used one of the new digi images from Crafts and Me, this stunning image is by Sara Burrier and is called Be Mine, isn't it perfect for a wedding card don't you think...I coloured it with distress inks and used some stunning Prima Paper for it, this is from the Madeline collection and is a 12x12 sheet called Parsley Place...I added a double blue organza bow and punched butterflies and finished with a Kaisercraft sentiment...the fabulous sketch (which I turned sideways) is from Sketch Saturday and I'm also entering it for the Anything Goes challenge and Truly Scrumptious challenge too...there's something very important in our lives going on today which I cant tell you about yet but we need loads of positive vibes from all you lovely people, I know they work because they have before...so could I ask you to please send them by the bucket load and I will tell you all about it as soon as I can...whatever your up to today have a brilliant one and don't forget your thermal knickers lol

dont you love a freebie...

Good morning everyone I hope you have something fantastic planned for your weekend, we aren't destined to get to Ikea, my wonderful Dad didn't come home yesterday and is coming home this morning so we will have to go to the supermarket with him today as he will need provisions after being away for a week, I don't mind though as it will be fantastic to see him...we will maybe and I say again maybe Sunday but you never know do you, I wish it would hurry up as I keep changing my mind every time I go onto Ikea's website...I know, I know I should stop going on it but I keep getting dragged back, you all know what its like you cant help yourself can you lol...for everyone who asked if my Dad was ok, we had some bad news at the start of the week, he went to see an eye specialist and although we knew he probably had a cataract we didn't realise it was both eyes and how bad it was, the specialist has told us he will need both eyes operated on and he isn't allowed to drive until they are done and the first one will be up to 6 months before hes reaches the top of the waiting list, he is devastated bless him, hes disabled and cant just hop on and off buses, his wheels are his independence and we have been trying our best to reassure him it wont be too long and he will spend half his time at my Sisters in Belfast as I don't drive...well I cant drive as my eyesight in my right eye is too bad for a licence, I have no peripheral vision in it all either...at least he wont be stuck in the house full time being at my Sisters who can drive...right now onto my card for today and I used this cutie, which is a freebie from the amazing Saturated Canary's blog...oooohhhhhh don't you just love a freebie...I coloured her with distress inks and used just about every colour I could think of on this card...the lush colourful papers are from the Basicgrey Nook and Pantry 6x6 paper pad from Bunny Zoe's Crafts, I finished with a lush May Arts Gingham Ruffle Ribbon YELLOW, from the Pretty Little Ribbon shop, a black ribbon and a sentiment from my sentiment box so no idea what make it is sorry...the fab sketch is from Tuesday Morning sketches and I'm also entering it for the DYSU challenge and Truly Scrumptious challenge too...phew thanks for sticking with me through this long post and I promise I will pass all your lovely wishes onto my Dad when I see him today...whatever yonur doing have a good one

clowning around...

Good morning everyone have the winds finally settled down where you are, they died down a little yesterday afternoon then there was stillness last night and it seemed so weird because it has been blowing so long the silence was surreal...we went to the supermarket yesterday and put the whole world to rights over our coffee and tea so prepare to see things pick up over the next few days lol...my beautiful Daughter text me and asked me did I fancy dinner which is Daughter text for 'do you fancy cooking', well I didn't but I did buy us all takeaway instead...we had pizzas and I don't know if it was the garlic or what but I was so so thirsty I couldn't stop drinking water all night...we had a good old natter and spent some time together and her lovely fella even put my bins back for me bless him...I never know what to call him, partner sounds like their names should finish with Ltd or & Co doesn't it, I cant say boyfriend because they have been together 5 years and living together for nearly 3 of them, boyfriend sounds like they go on date or two...maybe I should call him my future Son-in-law might give them ideas to make it legal and give me an excuse to make some wedding invitations lol...what would you call him all suggestions greatly accepted...anyway onto my card for today which is another dark photo as the skies are still so grey the colour gets all washed out...this gorgeous little cutie is from Belles and Whistles and is called Clowning around, isn't she so gorgeous, I coloured her with distress inks and paper pieced her outfit, I love paper piecing, its all that cutting out...btw a little hint when your paper piecing, when you cut whatever your doing out go around it with a black pen and then you wont get those raw white edges...the fantastic papers and sentiment I used are from the Kaisercrafts Blea and Ivy 6.5x6.5 paper pad, the pad and stamp are from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...I finished with some fantastic red gingham ribbon, the blue, green and red isn't a combo I have used before but I think it works well don't you...the fab sketch is from Sketch Saturday challenge and I'm also entering it for the Papertake Weekly challenge and Truly Scrumptious challenge too...I'm going to do some crafting and tidying today so not going out at all...whatever your up to today have a fantastic one

giving stuff away...

Good morning everyone I hope your all well...we went to Dunelm Mill yesterday and I'm sure I missed an ad in the local press because they were obviously giving everything away, it was packed out, I did manage to squeeze through to the craft section (of course) and bought a couple of Fizzy Moon stamps I have wanted ohhhh and something for the mysterious candy lol...its quite hard struggling through a packed store with a disabled person, its fine when your alone and you can sidestep etc but my poor Dad cant really do that with ease so I'm kinda like the forward action, I'm sure people think I'm ignorant trying to clear the way gently for him lol...we only stayed a few minuets and were going to have lunch there but there was a queue for the cafe would you believe...would love a good mooch through when it isn't busy though, I might persuade Phil to go late night one night...oh I forgot to say I managed my Christmas list the other day so I have made a start anyway...Phil wants to know what I want for Christmas...isn't it weird Mums are great when it comes to gifts for other but ask them what they want and they haven't a clue...so any ideas greatly accepted please (and no cheeky comments about plastic surgery vouchers please lol)...my card for today is using the stunning Make a Wish digi stamp from Mo's Digital Pencil, I always find Mo's images the easiest to colour as they are so gorgeously drawn, I used distress inks to colour her and the lush papers are a digi paper set from Nitwit Collections called Crab Apple Too, aren't they so beautifully faded and aged, I finished with some deep pink lace, a green satin ribbon and bow and a selection of Prima flowers (love these teeny Prima roses)...the fab sketch is from Sketch Saturday and I'm also entering it for the Truly Scrumptious bingo challenge, I chose Lace, flowers and ribbons...I'm doing a bit of online Christmas shopping today and surfing to get some ideas for me, whatever your up to have a fantastic one and keep an eye open for shops giving everything for free

Midwinter.....

Good morning everyone, I hope your all well and happy, we had a great day out yesterday, I bought ribbons, papers, loads of finger lift tape (ssssoooo cheap) and lots of goodies but just little goodies, I will take a photo for you to see them all when I have a bit of time...oooohhhh and my gorgeous Phil bought me two 12x12 paper storage boxes with files from the Really Useful Box Company to store some of my papers (oh no does this mean I have to sort out my papers now)...notice I said some lol...then we went for lunch and he bought me a new coat from Marks & Spencer's...so I did very well didn't I

my card for today isn't a card, its a book using one of my favourite Christmas carols and two of my very favourite new images from Mo's Digital Pencil...I knew when I saw Urchin with Bird and Ragged Angel I would make something different than a card with them, do you liked the faded look of them, I printed them like this, if you would like to know how to let me know and I will do a separate post on it tomorrow evening as I think this one is long enough lol

LinkI coloured them with distress inks and glittered the wings (there's a list of colours at the end of this post)...aren't the papers I used so beautiful, distressed and faded...these are amazing digi papers from Michele R Designs, I bought every single one of Michele's papers as they have such a beautiful faded vintage feel to the...stunning, these two are Winter Blues 1 and 6...I added some glitter and the words to the papers and printed them on linen card then mounted them on pearlised card

I had an awful job punching the holes for the ribbon as I only have a rubbish hole punch, it took so much work I gave myself two blisters...I finished with some beautiful glittery mesh ribbon that I used to tie my book together

I'm entering this for the Truly Scrumptious challenge and Stamptacular Sunday challenge, I'm sure there was a anything but a card challenge I was going to enter too but cant remember it...and even worse cant remember where my list is...thanks for sticking with me for this long post but believe me it could have been longer as I had more photos so think yourselves lucky lol...I'm off out with my Dad and Phil today, dont know where yet but I'm sure we will manage a trip somewhere..whatever your up to today have a fantastic one

Beware of supermarket rage + My last DT card for Truly Scrumptious Challenge 48-Thinking of Summer

Good morning everyone...firstly huge apologies for not getting round to commenting but hopefully I can stay awake long enough to do some serious commenting today bits crossed...is it just me or is there a load of angry people about these days?...I had to go to the supermarket with my Dad yesterday and as I wasn't feeling the best and he is on two crutches we were toodling (technical term for not speeding) around the supermarket minding our own business heading for the checkout when this, lets call her mature, woman tried to dash in front of us but didn't quite make it and swore at me, now not just swore but called me the F word that rhythms with trucker, how rude is that, now normally I would give as good as I get but couldn't be chuffed with her and decided to ignore her but my Dad bless him was ready to have a go, it only hit me later and I was hopping mad by then so the next day I see her in there minding her own business she will get the shock of my life when I call her the same...now onto my card for today which is a sad one for me, I have been with Truly Scrumptious since the beginning and it was my first ever DT spot and the fabulous Sharon and the DT girls are a dream to work with, but I have decided to move onto other things and leave, how sad is that but sometimes you know the time is right don't you...I have loved being on the team and will still be joining in with the challenges, today's sketch has the added theme of Thinking of Summer...I used this fabulous Sweet November Coriander digi from All that Scraps coloured with Distress inks, the amazing paper is from Websters Pages Life Portrait range and is called Your Life, Beautiful, stunning isn't it, there's something about Websters pages that makes me want to cut it out and layer it up which is what I did with the flowers and butterfly and I finished with lush sating ribbon...I hope you will give Truly Scrumptious a go as the sketches are always so lush to work with...right no supermarkets for me today I'm hiding in case I meet anymore OAP's with rage...have a brilliant day everyone

How do you photograph an easel card?...Truly Scrumptious Challenge 43-Easel card + City Crafter week 26-Take flight + Papertake weekly-three of a kind

Good morning everyone...now the question is exactly how do you take a photo of an easel card, is it the first one I took or the second, on the side or front on...I never know which to do, which way do you take it?...oh and another question for you today, I'm full of them today I think lol...why do men stand and stare at what they are meant to do for at least 10 mins before moving to the other leg and disappearing to make a cup of tea that has baffled me for ages and why don't they ever read instruction books but then expect to pick up a new iPhone and work it perfectly and get mad when they cant lol...these are the questions that have baffled womankind for centuries (well maybe not the iPhone one) so if you have answers I would be so grateful lol...right onto my card for today which is for our new challenge over at Truly Scrumptious which is a fab sketch with the added option of making an easel card I hope your all going to join in this week and have fun using the sketch, our sponsor this week is Robyn's Fetish Digital stamps and the fab Robyn generously gave us some images to play with, I chose to use this stunning Poppy Fairy isn't she beautiful, I coloured her with Distress inks

the gorgeous scrummy coloured papers are from a paper pack by My Minds eye called Be Loved from Bunny Zoe's Crafts, I love the stunning colours in this pack don't you, lush...I added some red stitched ribbons and three patterned buttons to finish...in answer to Shirley's question yesterday, its usually sheer luck if my cards match challenges unless they are sketches of course...I'm entering this one for the City Crafter Take flight and the Papertake weekly three of a kind challenges...I hope you like it and when you have time don't forget to pop on over to Truly Scrumptious to check out the rest of the DT's amazing work...have a fantastic day and I hope I havent made your brain whirl with my questions lol
