how many is too many?...

God morning everyone, well Phil has Hypertension, his blood pressure went so high yesterday that the doctor gave him medication to bring it straight down with a crash...apparently he has primary hypertension which means there is no medical cause like kidneys, liver, heart disease etc which is a relief but I hate Phil being not well I'm so not used to it and would rather be ill a dozen times myself than see him ill once...the Doctor said that the medication he has put him on for everyday along with the advice and info he gave us should bring it under control pretty fast, phew...of course Phil is insisting he go back to work on Monday and although I don't want him to the doc says if his blood pressure is stable it may be a good idea to get back into his routine asap, anyone of you who has any experience of this your advice would be greatly appreciated...he seems relaxed enough though I watched him like a hawk yesterday, I haven't a clue what I expected to happen but I think I could have done with one of his tablets by the time he went to bed lol...sorry I haven't been commenting as much as usual I am trying but am finding it hard to concentrate atm, but I will catch up with you all I promise...right now onto my card for today, about time I hear you cry lol...today I used this stunning new Steampunk House digi from Crafts and Me, I love this house so used it by itself and tried something new too I did a cloudy sky, I used distress inks and did it freehand, I think it worked ok don't you?...the amazing paper is a sheet I found a few days back I have had it for ages and its by G.C.D Studios and is from their Ava Collection called Bloom, I added some ribbon and a stamped sentiment, the lush flower embellishments I cut from the paper, I love cutting out and find it so relaxing, just how many flowers is too many do you think?...the fab sketch is from The Sweet Stop challenge, I promise the sketch is there lol...I'm also entering this for the Lollipop Crafts anything Goes challenge and the Fussy and Fancy Try a new Technique (the sky) challenge too...I'm off to the supermarket with my Dad today who bless him is worried about Phil too so I will have to get him some reassurance coffee I think...whatever your up to today have a wonderful one

Hi Mina love your card I visit daily and enjoy your posts. The advice given by your Dr is worth following I was a District nurse for the last 28 years working with a great bunch of GP's about 3 years ago my husband had a similar experience and although I was worried when he returned to work the frustration he felt with being at home didn't help his Bp and he really improved when he resumed his normal routine.if I hadn't known his GP on a personal level I would probably have been more worried but I trusted the Gp TO GIVE THE BEST ADVICE.

awwwwwwwwwww Mina I can sympathise with you. Hubby has HBP too but his meds keep it well under control and he leads a normal life. Honestly it's not as scary as you think once it's controlled.
Absolutely stunning card, fabulous image and those papers are gorgeous too.

Hi Mina... well I don't think you have too many flowers on your card... it's just perfect as it is! And your sky really worked very well.
Glad to hear that Phil has been diagnosed, and it does sound better than it being through heart disease for sure! Take care of him - I'm sure you will!

Hi Mina, gorgeous card hun and your sky worked perfectly, flowers are just right! I've been on BP meds since 2004 - I didn't realise how unwell I was until I started the pills. Honestly, once Phil gets used to taking them he will be fine. And the bonus of mine is that I've not had a migraine since then either! Hugs Sxx

Hi Mina, I love your card. The image is really beautiful and the more flowers the merrier. But then I would say that. Glad Phil has been diagnosed. The sooner he gets back into his normal routine the better he will feel. He is very lucky to have you. But then you both seem to be very loving and attentive with each other so one always seems to be looking out for the other. Its lovely to see. Hope Phil is feeling a bit better today. Lee xx

Hi Mina, I love those steampunk images, have a few myself but didn't get round to using them yet. I think your cloudy sky turned out great. I hope Phil will be alright hun, I can just imagine how worried you really are. I know you always write with a lot of humor, but underneath I can see your worries and I can imagine how you feel. Hugs, Frea

Oh my goodness Mina, what a worry your man gave you! Hope you are both feeling calmer now! Your card is lovely, what patience you have cutting out all those flowers and in answer to your question, you can never have too many flowers but you can have a card that's too small lol! I admire your patience,it's certainly pulled off for one amazing card!.x

Love your card! And the number of flowers is perfect! I'm so glad Phil is better. I have high blood pressure too so tell him the meds will get it under control & he will be good as new, if not better in short time!

Mina, Phil will be just fine. It's really a good thing that the hypertension isn't caused by heart disease or something else. It's all still very scary, tho'. Your card is fantastic! Great image and your cloudy sky is perfect -- really adds to the mood. Just the right amount of flowers, and they are just funky fun! Take care of yourself, too!

Rufus said...

I know that it's worrisome, when you're not used to him being sick...but he's going to be just fine!! There are so many medications that they can use to lower high blood pressure and keep it in control. He'll be better than ever. I think your card is fantastic, flowers and sky included!!
Now don't give yourself high blood pressure fussin' over Phil, bet he wouldn't like it and it won't do you any good either!
Hugs,
R/
