dont let anyone ever dull your sparkle...

Good morning everyone, how are you all and whats happening in your life atm?...I hope the weather that the weather forecast is saying is heading for us doesn't appear, they are saying the worst winter for ten years...omg I shudder at the thought of it being worse than -19 that it was a few years back...oh no I hate the cold don't you...I don't mind chilly, autumn weather with a little frost in the air, you know that kinda of lovely fresh crisp day...but minus temperatures make me want to hibernate until spring...I think I'm in desperate need of a week in the sun lol...I had a chillaxing day yesterday caught up with some tv and cooked that is until I realised I had forgotten to make my Sugar Nellie card for today...oops...so it was a quick make, in fact this took me 20 minuets start to finish, if you look closely you can see the glitter glue is still wet lol...this fabulous little cutie fairy is one of those all time classics like last weeks...shes perfect for Christmas cards don't you think...I made mine a taste of summer with all those butterflies...she is of course from Sugar Nellie and is called Make A Wish...I coloured her with my distress inks and teamed her up with a very old paper pad...these lush papers are from the Bo Bunny 6x6 Gabrielle paper pad...they are so pretty aren't they...I added a sentiment rub on and a punched butterfly from the same pad and glittered...I used Stickles Glitter Glue - Star Dust on loads and loads of the butterflies, the fairy wings, bows and star...in fact everything I could think off lol...what do you think, too much glitter?, can you have any such thing lol?, I finished with a scattering of gems from the Mixed Bag Clear Flat Acrylic Round Gems - 3mm, 4mm & 5mm from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...the lush sketch is from the Sketch Saturday Challenge and I'm also entering it for the 2 Sisters Challenge and the Challenges 4 Everybody Challenge too...I'm heading to my craft room today but for a more relaxing make I hope...whatever your up to today I hope its a relaxing one too

Brrrr... I stuggle walking my son to school as is. I *really* don't want to have to do it through snow and horrid temperatures again! :-S

This card, however, is absolutely STUNNING! Such a beautiful image, and your colouring is incredible. And no, there's no such thing as too much glitter on a "fairy" card! lol. x

hello, I just love your little stories and stuff. I don't comment often but felt inspired to today. weather here is wonderful, I think last weekend my friends and I took the sun that you were looking for. we went on our annual beach trip and it was 80 degree weather. don't know the metric version but perfect for laying on the beach, playing tennis and other fun things. the sunrises and sunsets were gorgeous. of course over indulging was an approved activity and girl giggle moments were plentiful. one of the two i'm sharing is I tried to get on my android. should I say my husbands one. well he said you shouldn't take it. but being stubborn I did. I couldn't get on it. so I called customer service at the unit we stayed. they said that it looked like 18 hours ago we had a loss of service. he stayed on the line while I tried to find the thing. I looked high and low and couldn't find it in any of the places he suggested. he kept saying check behind the night stand I finally told him they were clear glass and there was nothing behind there. how big is this modem, he said the size of a harry potter bokk. i'm thinking great i'm talking to a 12 year old... still i'm searching. he says he'll send someone out the next day to fix it. I say great. well that 18 hour thing is stuck in my head because we had been there over 24 hrs. so I let it ponder for awhile and I start asking the ladies as they come in from the beach. then one of the ladies said oh you mean this and holds it up, I THOUGHT THIS WAS SOME KIND OF ALIEN TRACKER OR SOMETHING. really, she's a teacher and believes in aliens and our need to track them at the beach. hmmmmmm. ok I ramble a bit but one more story if your sides aren't hurting from laughing. when we arrived at the unit we began unloading our stuff. we noticed a smell and tracked it to the garbage disposal. we tried to rinse it out and run it and all of a sudden a swarm of fruit flies came out and the smell became worse. we called the rental co and got no quick response so took it into our own hands and got some bug killer and some fly traps and fly swatters. we were ready. it was a group activity to undo the fly traps as they are those nasty roll out sticky paper kind. we placed them in great areas around the kitchen and where we saw the flies. after all this and driving, shopping and unloading one of the girls says she's going to grab a shower she's feeling a little buggy. we didn't know how buggy she was until a minute or two later when she returned attached tone of the fly papers. well we began laughing and she was like get this off of me cut it off something. one of the ladies starts to pull it and another one is screaming no don't do that another is get scissors and cut it and finally one has a little sense and begins pulling each hair out. as the good friend that I am once I stop laughing I go get the camera. this must be recorded! so one of the ladies says mayonnaise will get it out. which by the way works on sticky stuff in your hair like gum too. well finally she was set free and we all had a huge laugh. then she gets in the shower and shampoo nor conditioner helped get the sticky out back to the old faithful mayo. she had such shinny hair in that spot all weekend. so hopefully this little story will give you a giggle.

thanks for sharing sumo cat's pic

I love your card for today. that's the whole reason I wrote this post when I saw your card I thought I should send it to the friend that organized our weekend aka fly trap lady! or at least my version of it. thanks for sharing with us mina and hope you got a little tickle today.
