not just for summer...

Good morning everyone how are you all doing?...thank you all so so much for the concerns about my hip but never worry it will get better soon I'm sure as to the thoughts of going to my GP...I tried a few months back to get an appointment and the wait was three weeks so I don't think I will bother lol...isn't that stupid though that you have to know your ill three weeks in advance, if I could do that I wouldn't need a doctor in the first place would I lol...I didn't get my craft day yesterday but had a lazy day instead, I think they are called a duvet day aren't they although no duvet was involved but my fluffy checked rug came in handy, it did my hip the power of good though, it feels better much much better today...so you will have to excuse my rushed card I made for today as I only remembered it at 9pm last night and it took me all of 20 minuets to make so that's the excuses over lol...this little bit of sugary prettiness is from Sugar Nellie and is called Gingerbread Cookies...isn't she gorgeous?...I coloured her with my usual distress inks and used colours that your probably used to seeing summer rather than for a Christmas card but I couldn't resist using these stunning papers from the Kaisercraft - Lady Rose 6.5"x6.5" Paper Pad...I'm loving this pad the colours and designs are so lush

I added a tag from the same pad, its such a lovely sentiment I put a close up of it below...a lush ribbon bow made from Organza Ribbon - Dusky Pink (25mm Wide) and a button from the Primary - 25g button bag...the pad, ribbon and button are from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...the fab sketch is from my favourite sketch blog Mojo Monday Challenge and I'm also entering it for the Crafty Girls challenge and the Challenges 4 Everybody Challenge too...I'm off out with my Dad today, yesterday would have been my Mum's birthday and in a couple of weeks its the anniversary of her death so this time of year is really hard for him and he gets very down, so coffee and chatting is needed I think...whatever your up to today have a brilliant warm one whatever your up to

Good morning everyone how are you all?...well and happy?...bbbbrrrrr its freezing here and the ground is white with hailstones, so here it comes...oh no run away lol...poor Phil in the hope of kick starting my festive mojo got all the Christmas decorations from the attic, I had a little rummage through them but nope no festive spirit popped up yet...I seriously need help to get some festivity from somewhere so all suggestions gratefully accepted I mean for goodness sake even the Marks and Spencer's ads aren't working lol...right now my card for today...this Sugar Nellie Simply adorable is one of my all time favourites...hes called Nathan and like all the adorable's hes a dream to colour...I used my distress inks and teamed him up with some stunning papers from the Carta Bella So this is christmas 6x6 paper pad, I'm sorry to say that I bought the last one from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...oops lol...but there are loads of other Christmas pads to choose from...I added a spotty bow and finished with a mixture of buttons from the button packs at Bunny Zoe's...buttons are beginning to become a bit of an addiction for me aren't they...the fabulous sketch is from the Mojo Monday Challenge I love love love their sketches...I'm also entering it for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge and the Lady Anne's Challenge too...if the weather wasn't so white here I think I would go for a little mooch in town but the way my legs go from underneath me I'm as dangerous in snow as one the stairs so may just stay put...I think a bit of safe crafting sitting on my lush comfy office chair is called for instead what do you think?...whatever your up to today I hope wherever you are its warm and cosy, I wont be around tomorrow but will be back on Thursday with my Mo's Digital Pencil monthly blog hop post

Good morning everyone hows your week going...good I hope...I didn't have any luck with my baby shopping yesterday, I don't know if its a girl or boy yet so buying something fabulously girlie or cute and boyish is out...so what do I go for, something to help the parents or maybe a gift card so they can shop when they need too...but that seems kinda impersonal if you know what I mean...did any of you get the perfect gift for a new baby and let me know what it was please...I want to get THE perfect gift...help...but my lovely Dad took me for coffee anyway and we had a laugh and a moan, I so enjoy our coffee chats, they are so special and always make me realise how precious my time is with him...he is a lovely man and that's not me being biased, well maybe just a teeny bit lol...right now onto my card for today...how adorably cute is this Wild Rose Studio stamp, this is Bluebell with Robin and it comes complete with a sentiment stamp too so a real bargain...I coloured this cutie with my distress inks and used these lush papers from the Echo Park - Reflections Christmas 6x6 Paper Pad...the papers in this pad are so fab, they aren't just the traditional green and red but have soft blues and chocolate browns too...I added a stamp from the Wild Rose Studio - Christmas Labels stamp set, this set is a real bargain...I finished with some covered tabs from the Wooden Flourishes - Pennants FL441, a bow made from lush Gingham Wired Edge Gold Thread Ribbon - Green and added a button from the bag of Camouflage - 25g buttons, everything I used on my card today is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...the fab sketch is from Mojo Monday and I'm also entering it for the Addicted to Stamps Challenge and the Crafty Catz weekly Challenge too...I'm going into my craft room for a mooch today, I'm going to sort out all my Christmas stuff, I love making Christmas cards don't you, I never seem to run out of ideas for them and that's always makes them a little bit easier...whatever your up to today I hope you have fun and spend some time with someone special

Good morning everyone...yes its me and yes I am able to show a card at long long last...it has taken me ages and ages to get all the programmes loaded to allow my laptop just to get by, but I keep finding out everything I have lost, little things like all the fonts I had collected...information and links and templates I have made over the years even...gutted...but I'm not going to cry over spilt milk and will just get on with things and think about all the fun I will have finding them again...so if you have any links or info you think I might need a link would be fantastic...pretty please lol...let this be a warning please please please backup all your precious things, especially photos, digis and things you cant replace don't do what I did and keep putting it off...wow isn't the weather weird atm, its really really hot and the pressure is almost touchable but the storms are incredible...I have never ever heard thunder like it and the rain is so huge its flattening all our lovely plants and knocking all the flowers off...the lightening is a spectacle to behold...I don't mind it although must admit I was sitting watching Paranormal Activity 1 late last night, all by myself as Phil was in bed (never was a night owl bless him lol) and it had just got to the creeping bit at the end and there was a massive clap of thunder, I nearly passed out lol...I never get scared at horror or scary films even watching them alone but have to admit that scared the crap out of me...right now onto my long awaited card...this is one of the ones that should have been posted last week and is using this oh so cute stamp by Wild Rose Studio...shes called Emily Vacuuming and I coloured her with my usual distress inks...the fabulous papers are from the gorgeous Glitz 6x6" Paper Pack - Colour Me Happy really happy bright colours aren't they...the tag is from the same pad too...I added a bow made from lush Organza Ribbon - Lime (25mm Wide) and finished with a selection of Buttons...everything I used today is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...the lush sketch is from Mojo Monday and I'm also entering it for the Your Next Stamp Challenge and the Chocolate, Coffee and Cards Challenge too...I think we will be heading out today as Phil has been marshalling all weekend so I have hardly seen him at all and we need to get some things done...whatever your up to today have a brilliant one and watch out for those raindrops they are huge lol

splish splash smile...

Good morning everyone are you getting soggy yet or getting suntanned?...I wish the weather would hurry up and warm up as I'm rapidly becoming the weather police aren't I lol...oh before I forget all you people who know about animal rights, is it legal to put a dog in the boot of a car...I don't mean like a hatchback type boot I mean a sports car boot...we have a neighbour and he usually parks in his drive but for some reason he was parked across the street and yesterday evening I saw him come out of his house with a large lab puppy in his arms...of course I went aaaaaahhhhhhhh, but then he put the puppy in his boot and drove off before I could get out to stop him, surely that cant be right can it?...it seems cruel to me and if it isn't legal the next time I see him come out I can ring someone and he will hopefully get caught...even if it is legal it shouldn't be should it...well the weather police are reporting its grey, wet and very very dull here and doesn't look like changing any time soon, just thought I would report in case you were looking forward to my report this morning lol...right now onto my card for today which is using this fabulous little fella...go on have a guess who drew this sweetie...bet you can...yes of course its from Mo's Digital Pencil who else...I coloured him with distress inks and did a mega paper piecing job on him too...took ages but I ssssoooooo live cutting out don't you...hes called Sunshine...the gorgeous papers are from the  Kaisercraft - Elegance 6.5"x6.5" Paper Pad and this and the wooden letters (out of stock atm though) are from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...I finished my card with some gorgeous little glass drops cut from a spray for my raindrops...the fab sketch is from Mojo Monday and I'm also entering it for the One Stop Craft Challenge and the Papertake Weekly challenge too...I'm off out with my Dad today I'm fed up with sitting in for the last few days and feel in the need of a bit of a shop...don't know what for but I'm sure I will find something and of course time for 'put the world to rights' coffee too...whatever your up to today have fun

a breath of Summer...

Good morning everyone have you anything exciting planned...its that season again the motor bike racing has started and Phil is off on one of his marshaling expeditions, I don't mind though at least I get to see him all week now hes home so don't begrudge him his days and weekends away in racing season at all...anyway I need to go to the opticians again with my Dad to pick up his new glasses...ooooohhhh I must admit I'm dead excited about him getting his hearing aids next week though after years of him not being able to hear properly it will take some getting used to for him...the audiologist is excellent though and has said it will only be half power first and will be switched up over some weeks because it would be a shock to his system all at once, I was quite relieved when she said that...its bound to be wonderful for him because it had to have been so frustrating for him...at least I have a card to show you today I just didn't have time yesterday as I had a lot of DT stuff to do...I used another of Janey's Digi Designs images for my card today...how lush is this Lupin, I love using Jane's images they always remind me of summer don't they?...I coloured it with distress inks and teamed it up with some lush papers from a My Minds eye 6x6 Honey Cake paper pad...fab colours aren't they and a great contrast with the blue I think...I finished my card with some gorgeous organza ribbon and bow and a few buttons from my stash...the fab sketch is from Mojo Monday and I'm also entering it for the Digi Darla's Challenge and the Cute Card Thursday challenge too...I'm off to make pasta sauce for tonight's dinner as I never know what time Phil will arrive home from the racing so its good to have something fast on the go then I need a couple of layers of the old war paint before heading out with my lovely Dad...whatever your up to today I hope you have a fun filled one

stress central...

Good morning everyone...omg I hope you didn't have an afternoon like I did yesterday, remember me saying I hate going to the Doctors well yesterdays visit certainly reinforced that feeling...I don't know if its because I did at one time spend a lot of time at Doctors and hospitals and in and out of both (long story I will tell you all about one day) but as soon as I pull up at the Doctors office my stress levels go into overdrive and my blood pressure shoots up, not good for a normally so laid back person I'm almost horizontal lol...so spending 50 minuets in a waiting room that had every kind of cough and cold known to man in it all seeming to be aimed at me, not to mention the Mother who arrived with her three little vandals (sorry I meant sweethearts of course lol) who proceeded to scream and rip the waiting room apart while their Mother sat calmly texting and chatting on her phone...you can imagine how I was by the time I got to see the Doctor...who then proceeded to tell me my blood pressure was so high he was going to send me to hospital, was I feeling stressed?...bloody hell was he joking lol...I had to explain about how it only goes up when Im in a Doctors office or Hospital and why, so now I have to be supplied with a home blood pressure monitoring system so they can check its ok at other times...it was only when I agreed to it that he said ok no hospitals...phew close call...Phil felt so sorry for me he took me out for dinner to make me feel better...so result there...well not the best afternoon but a good ending lol...right now enough stress announcements onto today's card and wow look at the eyes on this stunning Saturated Canary Beauty...shes called Springtime and I enlarged her and just used her top half for my image, I coloured her with my distress inks and teamed her up with these lusciously coloured papers from the Kaisercraft - Secret Admirer 6.5"x6.5" Paper Pad bought from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...aren't they stunning...I finished my card with a doily cut from the same pad, a gorgeous ruffle edged ribbon bow and an over sized pink flower from my stash...the fab sketch is from Mojo Monday and Im also entering it for the Totally Papercrafts Challenge and the Daisy Doodles Creative challenge too...deep breaths and calming thoughts from me for today...Im having a relaxing painting day with no stress levels involved...well besides from waiting for the phone call from the BP people that is lol...whatever your up to have a nice calm one

Good morning everyone guess who slept in lol...well I say slept in, its freezing here this morning and I didn't want to get out of my nice warm bed is the truth...bbbbbrrrrrr...but the fire is on now and I'm getting toasty warm...oh I so wish this winter was over don't you it seems to have lasted forever and I cant wait for all the greyness to go away and all those beautiful spring colours to pop up...I'm living in hope as I went out and bought Nasturtium seeds and a trailing rose last week...maybe a little early but it made my imagination work overtime imagining our decking covered in a riot of colours and smells...I think we will buy more this weekend too, we are determined to be ready for the spring and as soon as the temperature reaches a livable average for them to live they will be all out and planted up...I cant wait and there will be so many photos you will be sick of seeing them...I show you how prepared we are we even bought an old tin bath in a car boot sale ages ago to make into a mini herb garden lol...right now onto my card for today, how cute is this Sassy Cheryl's Digi image...shes called Bubble Blower and is an amazing 50c....oooohhhhh don't you just love a bargain...I coloured her with distress inks and used some of these beautiful Kaisercraft-The Lakehouse paper pad papers for her...I bought this at Bunny Zoe's Crafts but it was ages ago so is out of stock but theres loads of new Kaisercraft pads in atm...I have my list ready to buy lol...I finished with a gorgeous pleated ribbon, a bow, button and some fab wooden letters to finish...the fab sketch is from Mojo Monday and I'm also entering it for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge and the Through the Craftroom Door Challenge too...I'm going to do some of the dreaded 'H' today, I know its terrible but has to be done sometimes doesn't it...I think I hate housework even more than food shopping lol...whatever your up to today stay away from the cleaning stuff and have fun

blue boy...

Good morning everyone I hope your all having a fabulous week...I had a really relaxing crafting day yesterday, how many cards did I make...er....one lol...I got bogged down with playing and printing loads and loads of stuff...so much so that I almost ran out of ink and just finished in time...I get caught up with how many images I can fit on one sheet of my paper I used for printing at £1 a sheet its a challenge to see how many I can get on and fill every single square centimetre...sad I know lol...but my record so far is 10 of a decent enough size to colour of course I could probably get about 30 if they were smaller but they wouldn't be as enjoyable to colour or use...oh btw I got an email the other day asking about what I used for the whites in the eyes of the Vintage Adorables I have been colouring, the answer is nothing the white bits just aren't coloured is all...I don't have a white pen or pencil, I used to have one many moons ago but it dried up because it was never used the poor neglected thing...it can be a bit fiddly going around the white bits with a paintbrush but well worth it I think...I'm one of those rare people who love love love making boys cards so when I had a space left on my paper I had to print this darling little Simply Adorable sweetie from Sugar Nellie, I love him so much, everything about him is a joy to behold and hes a dream to colour too...this is the wonderful Thomas and I coloured him as always with my distress inks, I cut him out and popped him on top of these stunning papers from the Teresa Collins 6x6" Paper Pad - Now and Then pad I bought from Bunny Zoe's Crafts and finished with a lush checked ribbon bow and a button from my stash...I love this fab sketch don't you, its from Mojo Monday and I'm also entering this for the Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge and the Crafting When we can challenge too...its supermarket day today and we are off to Costa for a good bout of 'put the world to rights' coffee too of course...its a new one across from the supermarket and I said to my Dad next time we went I would take for a coffee and a cupcake...I love our coffee sessions even if he does ignore me for the first ten minuets while he catches up with the news headlines lol...whatever your up to I hope you have an enjoyable day

so not me?...

Good morning everyone did you have a good day yesterday?...did you ever have one of those lazy days when you don't want to do anything at all except laze around...well we had one of those yesterday, when I got up we just looked at each other and both knew we wouldn't be heading for any sales at all...I think things just caught up with us...we plodded on and I got dressed and make up on then came downstairs, Phil said 'You don't really want to go out do you?'...don't you just love it when they agree with you lol...Phil said he didn't want to go out either so I popped back into my jimjam's while Phil made us a sandwich for lunch and we lazed around, had warm fruit cake with cream and watched Ice Age The rise of the dinosaurs...next thing I remember is waking up at 6.30pm...I must have dozed off, well I say dozed off went unconscious would be a better description I think lol...then our lazy day was followed by an equally lazy evening watching tv and eating junk...oh well I guess we will be rested for today anyway, well that's if we ever get our butts in gear to do anything today...fingers crossed...right now onto my card for today which has to be one of the fastest cards I have ever made and I'm don't think its my style do you?, at the beginning of the year I always make a few stock cards, you know the ones don't you...the sort that you might need during the year and will have stashed away so your not running around like a headless chicken having to make one...this one for a baby boy and I will make a baby girl one too, so when I decided to make this I knew straight away I would use the stunning Graphic 45 8x8 Paper Pad - Little Darlings pad...I love this stunning pad and it has so many stunning images in it I didn't even have to colour one (I know shock horror lol)...the image is from the pad and all I needed to finish was a few beautiful mixed pearls, a stunning satin ribbon and bow and a few roses including one from the Kaisercraft Paper Blooms - Sage (10pcs) pack, these are fabulously crinkled flowers...the pad and flower are from Bunny Zoe's Crafts and there's a 10% off across the store until midnight 1st January promotion on atm too so go on grab a bargain...the fab sketch is from Mojo Monday and I'm also entering it for the Charisma Cardz challenge and the Totally Gorjuss challenge (my something new is a New Baby card)...well hopefully we will be so rested from yesterday we will be heading out today but you never know when the lazy bug will strike do you lol...whatever your up to have a fun day everyone
