Good morning everyone how you all doing?...yes its me again I think I'm on a mojo roll this week and about time too I hear myself cry lol...have you noticed the daylight has started to hang about a lot longer...is that spring I see just peeping out of the ground too, Phil planted some stunning tulip bulbs last year and he says they have started to peek out to see if its warm enough yet...I feel like running into the garden and screaming to them 'get back under its too cold' but I think the neighbours might think I have gone a bit loony...still a while to go for spring yet I guess but we can live in hope of an early one cant we...my card for today has a real spring like feel to it I think with all those pretty bright colours...this stunner is a new Saturated Canary stamp called Eva, isn't she gorgeous and wouldn't you just love a figure like that?...yep me too lol...I coloured her with distress inks (and yes this is using old card) and used more of the beautiful Basic Grey Fresh Cut 6" x 6" Paper Pad for her...I paper pieced her skirt and top and cut one of the flowers from another sheet from the same pad...I added a twirly bow made from stunning Organza Ribbon - Cerise (25mm Wide), I also edged some of the paper with some Marianne D Romantic Lace to finish...everything I used on my card is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...I made the sketch up as I went along but am entering this for the Crafting from the Heart Challenge, City Crafter Challenge and the Craft-Dee bowz challenge too...I need to get my butt in gear today for some last minuet things for Phil and my Dad going away so need to get motivated to move I think...right war paint on and away we go...whatever your up to today have a lovely bright one and I will speak to you all tomorrow for this month Mo's blog hop

theres nothing like new boots...

Good morning everyone how you all doing...well I hope and enjoying your week...another day of wall to wall sunshine yesterday in fact it was so sunny I could only sit in my craftroom for about 30 minuets until I was so hot I had to go downstairs for a drink lol...now I never thought that would happen, of course I had to pick the sunniest room because of the wonderful light but didn't consider how hot it would get with the sun streaming in well duh lol...its a British disease isn't it, complaining about being too cold in Winter and too hot when the sun shines...its not usually me though, I love Summer and would dearly love to live somewhere warm all year round, but it always makes me chuckle when your standing in a queue in the supermarket in June and someone is moaning about how warm it is and I think 'give it a day or two and they will be complaining about the rain' lol...gotta love em...right now my card for today and how wonderful it would be to see a fairy get some new leaf boots wouldn't it...I can just imagine this little beauty sitting in a garden doing them up cant you...shes from Crafts and Me and is drawn by Sue Rundle-Hughes, isn't she just beautiful and shes fabulous to colour too...shes called The New Boots and I used my usual distress inks to colour her...the lush papers I used are from the Kaisercraft-The Lakehouse paper pad I bought from Bunny Zoe's Crafts many moons ago so is out of stock Im afraid but there are loads of brand new ones on my 'to buy' list, I finished with a fabulous piece of lace, some two tone ribbon and a Prima flower from my stash...I cant remember where the sketch is from but Im entering this for the Card Mania Challenge, Bearly-Mine Challenge and the City Crafter Challenge too...I haven't a clue what I'm up to today, might be a bit of crafting or even mooching or even shopping...you never know...whatever your up to today I hope wherever you are the sun shines on you even if its just for a little while

Good morning everyone...bbbbrrrrrr isnt it cold, but at least we don't have any white stuff yet thank goodness...we have had our fire roaring away for the last few days and I'm still shivering with cold...I think I need some thermal knickers if this weather continues lol...well I made it around the supermarket minus any steam escaping, in fact I didn't feel too bad and as our Daughter and her other half were coming to dinner I made soup and then baked a cake...I know how freaky and ok pick yourself up from your faint lol...see I can cook I just choose not too unless I really have too...if I was rich I would never cook again I dislike it so much...don't get me wrong I cook dinner for Phil every night for when he comes home from work but it doesn't stop me hate doing it...well all except Italian I enjoy making Italian food and I don't mind baking a cake or two when the mood takes me...is there anything about the daily grind that you hate (well except housework of course I think everyone hates the dreaded H don't they)...right now onto my card for today and I cant believe it but I smudged her sweater when I was colouring this beauty with my usual distress inks, so she has a nasty bruise on her neck the poor thing...this is the Beautiful Skier from The Paper Shelter...isn't she gorgeous, this is the first Paper Shelter image I have coloured and it defo wont be my last...I teamed her up with these lush papers from the Teresa Collins 6x6" Paper Pad - Now and Then pad, this is such a lush pad...I seem to be on a bit of a yellow and blue theme atm lol...I finished my card with a huge two tone navy bow (maybe a little too big)...I bought the pad from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...btw the sentiment was already on the pad...I made the sketch up as I went along but Im entering this for the City Crafter challenge, Papertake Weekly challenge and the Paper Makeup Stamps challenge too...oh and btw Bunny Zoe's Crafts has an amazing massive 40% off Paper Sale atm...so hop on over to grab a bargain or three even...I'm heading into town today if I feel well enough I still have some gift cards from Christmas and thought I might treat myself to something new saying its my Birthday on Sunday...you never know something exciting might happen...I live in hope anyway lol...whatever your up to today have a brilliant one and keep warm

Good morning everyone are you all having a good week?...I forgot to show what we found at the weekend...this stunning place is literally around the corner from us how amazing is that...Phil shot these stunning photos...I think we have a budding photographer in the family don't you?

there's a University very close by us and this is part of the grounds attached to it...we also found some fabulously huge holly trees with loads of berries and birds...its stunning

we went out for coffee yesterday and a little bit of shopping but I still haven't a clue what to get Phil, I would get him a new camera but I bought him one last year and he uses mine for photos he really wants to take...I'm beginning to panic now, I know exactly what I'm getting everyone except my Dad and Phil ...aaaarrrrgggghhhhhhhh help....right now onto my card for today which is for our new challenge at Crafts and Me challenge...this time is our lovely Sara's choice and she chose Ribbon or Trim...so now I don't need told twice to use ribbon do I lol...I haven't made an easel card for ages so decided I would use this stunning Sara Burrier digi called Perched at Dawn from Crafts & Me.and make one...isn't it stunning, I coloured it with distress inks and turned the bird into a Robin, I'm not sure I got the colouring right as I was trying to copy the robins on the bird table outside but they are ssssoooooo fast lol

I glittered her wings and teamed her up with these amazing papers from the Glitz Joyeaux Noel paper pad...I love the subtle shades and patterns in this pad...I bought it from Bunny Zoe's Crafts but its out of stock atm...I finished with some lush holly twill ribbon from Kars and a couple of pearls...the lush sketch is from Chocolate, Coffee & Cards challenge and I'm also entering it for the City Crafter challenge, A & T Emerald Faeries challenge and the Party Time Tuesday challenge too...I'm having a craft day today as theres loads of stuff I need to catch up on and any excuse not to think about Christmas presents for a while lol...whatever your up to today have a fantastic one

someone slap me...

Good morning one and all, how are you all...you gave a real belly laugh last night reading all your stories of your mishaps too and it made me feel I'm not the only one who goes out in odd earrings lol...loved Coops story about the shoes...I had a friend who went out in two different shoes but one was flat and one had a heel and she didn't notice until she got out of her car lol...thank goodness I haven't quite reached that stage so far...I was all set for a crafting day then like a bolt of lightening remembered I still had the menus for my Nieces wedding to do...would you believe it took me 6 hours to print all the components and I still have to put them all together all 100 of them, that menu is imprinted on my mind now, if you see me agree to do something like this again one of you please slap me lol...then I remembered I hadn't done my challenge card for Crafts and Me...so many apologies for the shockingly bad colouring, you can really tell I did it in a hurry...so slapped hands for me and I will stand in the corner until I start to remember things...I may be some time lol...anyway onto my rushed card for our new challenge at Crafts and Me challenge, our theme this time is to use a sentiment on your card and I used this beautiful Crafts and Me Sara Burrier image called Morning Glories but I enlarged her and cut of the bottom of the flowers...I coloured her with my usual distress inks and used a scrap of a Basicgrey paper I found while moving, I love the faded greens and yellows of it don't you but I don't know which collection its from...I finished with some lush gold knotted ribbon, a couple of pins, a scattering of pearls and a stamped sentiment...the lush sketch is from The Sweet Stop challenge and I'm also entering it for the City Crafter challenge and A&T Emerald Faeries challenge too...I'm off out with my Dad today as I need more ink for my printer and am still looking for shoes for the wedding (dont worry I will buy my Dad a coffee while I shop for them I wont make him go around with me)...this outfit is never ending, is it just me or is everyone like this for a wedding outfit....its so hard to decided...whatever your up to today have a great one and if anyone mentions weddings to you give them a slap from me lol

pretty in pink...

Good morning everyone did you all have a good day yesterday and I hope you have something fab planned for today...we went shopping yesterday and it was bleeding freezing and blowing a gale all day, but it didn't stop us having a good mooch time and I managed to finish my whole Christmas present list...wwwwooohhhoooo how excellent is that, I tried my best to persuade Phil to buy me a new engagement ring, a huge solitaire diamond for half price a steal at £1,600 but he wasn't having any of it lol...mind I did see him sneak into Boots I think to get me the two Sanctuary gift sets I wanted for Christmas, well he came out with two bags anyway...the only gifts I have left to get that weren't on my list are the ones for Phil and I haven't a clue at all and he isn't being much help I'm afraid, at this rate he will end up with a selection box lol...my poor Dads car broke down while we were out and the garage left him with no courtesy car, so we had to try and sort that out for him but as we only had half an hour we didn't make much headway...would you believe the Disabled Drivers place who are supposed to take care of his car needs told us they had to have 48 hours notice for a courtesy car...do you know anyone who has 48 hours notice of a car breakdown...well duh lol...right now onto my card for today which is using one of the brand new Wee Stamps digis, shes called Heidi, isn't she a cutie, I love her hair don't you...I coloured her with distress inks and just a teeny bit of glitter this time...the paper is just a scrap so haven't a clue what make it is I'm afraid...I finished with a huge satin bow, a few buttons, a punched snowflake and a Kaisercraft stamp...I must admit I have a soft spot for these lovely drawn Wee Stamps and of course I couldn't just buy this one could I, you know when you go shopping and things just throw themselves in your basket, we have all been there haven't we...the lush sketch is from Sketch N Stash challenge and Im also entering it for the Ribbon Girl Pink & White challenge, City Crafter Pink Christmas challenge and the Charisma Cardz challenge too...well I think we will be running a taxi service for my Dad today so haven't a clue where we will end up, but I will be doing some hopping tonight as at long last my internet seems to be working ok (well so far fingers crossed)...whatever your up to today have a fantastic one

bestest friends are forever...

Good morning everyone did you all have a fantastic weekend...I hope you all did something lovely and had fun...we had a quiet weekend, we bought some lamp shades that when I took out of the box turned out to be lime green so they are heading back to the shop very quickly lol...then we headed to Marks and Spencer's and bought some yummy stuff, their food is always so lush and moreish isn't it, then home to watch Phil snoozing and catch up with challenge commenting, I never seem to catch up with commenting I must learn to type faster your know...ooohhhh and on Saturday we bought a new vaccum which Phil was fascinated with (now that's rare as I'm the gadget person not him) because its suction would strip wallpaper off and you want to see what came out of our hall carpet...shocking...so that was a result that Phil did all the hoovering while saying have you seen how much muck this is getting out of the carpets and I tried to watch Dr Who...right now onto my card for today which is for the Bunny Zoe's Crafts DT using this fantastic little sweetie and her bestest friend from Whimsy Stamps called Whimsy Valerie and Sitting Pretty, isn't she a cutie, I coloured them with distress inks and used more of the lush Authentique Blissful 6x6 paper pad, I used more flower fantasy wooden ornaments but this time I stained them with distress inks, they take colour really well and the colour stays true...the sentiment is from the Kaisercraft mini clear sentiment stamp set Friends (these sets are brilliant value, really cheap and one for every occasion)...the lush sketch is from Sweet Sketch Wednesday and I'm also entering this for the City Crafter Best of Friends challenge and Totally Gorjuss As you like it challenge too...right I'm off to change my shades today, cant be having lime green as I would need sunglasses indoors...have a wonderful day everyone

Good morning everyone, I hope you all had a brilliant weekend...did you get up to anything exciting, if you did go on tell me all about it and make me jealous...we had a very quiet weekend and just did a little mooching round shops and went out to lunch, my shoulder and neck are still very sore and super stiff so I'm going to take everyone's advice and go to the docs to see what he says, Phil thinks its a trapped nerve from the fall and that we should take out Mina Accident cover lol, I think Im just clumsy and it will take a little while to unstiffen and barring anymore falls I will be champion...well the countdown is going down and theres only 3 days to go for the brand spanking new Sugar Nellie release sneak peek week...oooooohhhhh cant wait
but in the meantime hands up everyone who knew I would have to have another colour of this gorgeous Flora simply adorable digi from Sugar Nellie, I really wasnt happy with how I coloured her the first time and think the softer colour hair works much better with her...what do you think?...I used distress inks to colour her and used a scrap of paper I had from Cosmo Cricket Mitten weather, its a fantastic soft lilac isnt it, I love it when I can use scraps and even more when they are last christmas's papers...I finished with a lush soft satin ribbon and a sentiment...the fab sketch is from the Dutch Dare Card challenge but Im not sure if it counts as I ran out of paper and missed a bit off...Im also entering this for the City Crafter scrap happy challenge and the Ribbon Girl ribbon challenge too...well Im of to the Docs then the supermarket with my lovely Dad today and hopefully painkillers willing I will catch up all your lush blogs tonight...whatever your up to today have a wonderful day

Good morning everyone, well I'm not here but off on my travels again, omg how packed was the car when we were packing it yesterday, I thought the back tyres would explode and I could see steam coming out of Phil's ears when I kept appearing with more and more bags...oops...well he wants it nice doesn't he and that takes a little bit of effort....oooohhhhhh I was walking through the town the other and just had to go past Laura Ashley's didn't I, they have a 50% sale on...oooohhhhhhhh nnnnooooooo I thought now its against the shoppers law to pass a sale isn't it....their wallpaper is just drooly and they have fantastic contrasting fabric for blinds etc...I could have spent a fortune but I managed to rein myself in and walk out with just a bargain lamp, are you proud of me?...must admit I wish I had gone with the fantastic deep pink blossom wallpaper and striped fabric though...might have to go back for it what do you think....right now onto my card for today, its for the Just Magnolia & hAnglar & sTanglar shabby chic challenge and yes I know it was meant to be here Friday but I had to put it back because of the Sugar Nellie blog hops...so I'm showing it today, I have no idea what this sweetie Tilda is called but isn't she gorgeous, I coloured her with distress inks and used these amazing papers from Prima for her its from the Madeline collection and called Skyward, I'm not sure this fits the theme as I always struggle with shabby chic but loved the paper and Tilda together...I added some grey ribbon and bow and key and lock charms to finish...the lush sketch is from City Crafter challenge...ooohhhh I have candy for you tomorrow from Bunny Zoe's Crafts so don't forget to pop back then...have a brilliant Sunday everyone

Good morning everyone I went to bed last night to snow and sleet and woke this morning to sunshine and not a pick of snow for one horrible moment I thought I really had hibernated for a month or two...sneaky stuff this freaky weather isn't it...the fat balls are sorted I went to get the gubbins (technical term for all the ingredients) and saw a pack of 12 for a few pounds, bought them and the birds are as happy as a little fat red breasted bird can be...right onto my card for today which is for The Sugar Bowl, CCCB Let it snow challenge and Pear Tree Designs challenge Winter Wonderland too...I used this fabulously cozy Sugar Nellie Raven stamp, I want a coat and hat like this how warm would it be, I coloured her with my distress inks and paper pieced her hat and coat with some of these amazing Websters Pages Santa and Sweet papers I bought from Crafty Emma's, stunning aren't they, I love the colours in them, I finished my card with some black saddle stitched ribbon and punched snowflakes...what you up to today anything exciting I think we will put our Christmas Tree up when I say we I use that term loosely, what I really mean is Phil sits and watches and I decorate it, although I cant blame him as he used to help but I would just follow behind him and move everything to the 'right' place so he gave up but at least he gets all the stuff out of the attic...whatever your up to have a wonderfully festive day everyone

How do you photograph an easel card?...Truly Scrumptious Challenge 43-Easel card + City Crafter week 26-Take flight + Papertake weekly-three of a kind

Good morning everyone...now the question is exactly how do you take a photo of an easel card, is it the first one I took or the second, on the side or front on...I never know which to do, which way do you take it?...oh and another question for you today, I'm full of them today I think lol...why do men stand and stare at what they are meant to do for at least 10 mins before moving to the other leg and disappearing to make a cup of tea that has baffled me for ages and why don't they ever read instruction books but then expect to pick up a new iPhone and work it perfectly and get mad when they cant lol...these are the questions that have baffled womankind for centuries (well maybe not the iPhone one) so if you have answers I would be so grateful lol...right onto my card for today which is for our new challenge over at Truly Scrumptious which is a fab sketch with the added option of making an easel card I hope your all going to join in this week and have fun using the sketch, our sponsor this week is Robyn's Fetish Digital stamps and the fab Robyn generously gave us some images to play with, I chose to use this stunning Poppy Fairy isn't she beautiful, I coloured her with Distress inks

the gorgeous scrummy coloured papers are from a paper pack by My Minds eye called Be Loved from Bunny Zoe's Crafts, I love the stunning colours in this pack don't you, lush...I added some red stitched ribbons and three patterned buttons to finish...in answer to Shirley's question yesterday, its usually sheer luck if my cards match challenges unless they are sketches of course...I'm entering this one for the City Crafter Take flight and the Papertake weekly three of a kind challenges...I hope you like it and when you have time don't forget to pop on over to Truly Scrumptious to check out the rest of the DT's amazing work...have a fantastic day and I hope I havent made your brain whirl with my questions lol
