some days!!!...

Good morning everyone did you all have a fab weekend?...did you ever get one of those days that should have been spent in bed...I woke up feeling like some was doing riverdance in my head and contemplated staying there nursing my cold and feeling sorry for myself but poor Phil had to go to work again so I thought I would get up and prepare something yummy for dinner...mistake lol...I put some bread in the toaster because I hadn't had anything to eat the day before and went into the living room and lay down on the sofa, I forgot that last time I had toast was with wheaten bread and it take a high temp to get it even brown, yes you guessed it, smoke alarms and everything pounding through my poor head...have you ever tried to get smoke alarms to stop when the inside of your head is mush lol...I managed to stop it and grabbed a cup of coffee instead and tripped going in the lounge and threw it all over the floor (thank goodness it missed the new sofa), I realised then I should have went with my first thought and stayed in bed so back I trotted and didn't wake until 5.30pm...I think I must have needed it though as my head felt a little better but I still haven't managed anything to eat yet and I'm scared of the toaster lol...some days are just meant for bed aren't they...right now onto my card for today how fabulously cute is this gorgeous digi from Cuddly Buddly and by Pachela Studios and called Toby Tumble For The One I Love...I printed two of them, coloured them with distress inks and did a little bit of decoupage with them but I think its quite hard to tell from the photos...the stunning papers and the teeny cute tag are from the gorgeous Kaisercraft - Turtle Dove 6.5"x6.5" Paper Pad I bought from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...the papers are glossy and decoupaged...lush...I finished with a small gingham bow and a rose to match...the fab sketch is from The Crazy Challenge and I'm also entering it for the Great Impressions challenge and the Challenges 4 everybody challenge too...I'm hoping my lovely Dad doesn't need to go out or need shopping today as I really don't feel up to it at all, but will do it with a smile on my face of course if he rings, don't we all lol...oh ignore me I'm wallowing in a haze of cold suffering self pity today lol...whatever your up to today be careful of the 'stay in bed gremlin' lol

Jingle bells...

Good morning everyone, well are you all prepared for the guy in the big red suit yet?...I bet I have put Jingles bells in your head now, you will be humming it all day, I did when I made this card lol...we did the dreaded supermarket shop yesterday, what with nipping between supermarkets and heaving ourselves through the crowds (I think everyone had the idea of getting it out of the way early) it took us an amazing 6 hours...yes 6 hours...now how on earth can four people eat that much food, although I do have my lovely Dad and my Sister and her family on Boxing Day too...I managed to get a bit of blog hopping done last night but I nodded off at about 8 and didn't wake up until 11, I'm looking forward to another big session of blogging tonight as I so enjoyed looking at your blogs last night, no napping tonight though...this Christmas lark is hard work isn't it I was shattered, but at least I dragged Phil around with me to show him what I normally have to do alone, although I think its faster on my own and I don't have someone putting double what I normally buy in my trolley lol...right now onto my card for today, how cute and sweet is this fabulous Christmas Bells image from the Pachela Studios collection at Cuddly Buddly, I love this cute little rabbit and cant resist him, I will have to go buy some more I think, I coloured him with distress inks...I used some more of this lush Bo Bunny Father Christmas 6x6 paper pad I bought from Charmed Cards & Crafts, I didn't think this lush paper needed anything that might cover it so I just added some rich red satin ribbon to finish...the fab sketch is from Mojo Monday and I'm also entering it for the Papertake Weekly challenge too...I'm off to spend most of today with my lovely Dad he has to have some very unpleasant tests and scans in hospital, I feel for him but at least I will be there to keep him company...keep your fingers crossed they don't find anything that shouldn't be there...whatever you up to today I hope its a quiet shopping free one
