too many questions...

Good morning everyone I hope your all well and happy and having a brilliant week...well its official poor Phil has man flu or as we women call it a head cold lol...I text him at work yesterday to see how he was and he took a couple of hours to text back with 'Im too weak to text you'...er...you just did, daft bugger that he is lol...he will be grand with some more hot lemon drinks...it seems that the summer has returned here and my rose bushes have sprung into life again, I wish they would make their minds up...now the question to cut them or not to cut them...I love having them indoors but don't want to stop it blooming...all you super talented gardeners out there should be able to tell me I think...now before I get onto my card for today a quick question for you, are these photos blurred?, I'm not sure if they are blurred or its my eyes or my rapidly ageing laptop...let me know if they look a bit blurry to you please....I have had a lot of questions for you all today haven't I...you must be thinking I only came here to see a card not take a quiz lol...btw brilliant news my Daughters friend is much better and out of intensive care thank goodness my heart sank when I first heard it, all Mothers feel for any family going through something like that don't they..ok no more waffle onto my card for today...don't you just love this sweetheart of a stamp? (oops another question), shes from Sugar Nellie and is from the Diane Duda collection of stamps...this is the stunning Peace Angel coloured with my usual distress inks...she would be just perfect for a Christmas card but I couldn't resist using this amazing paper and cutting to my hearts content from it...these papers are from the beautiful Bo Bunny Gabrielle 6x6 paper pad...I cut butterflies out and lay them over the flat ones but a little off so they I could try to make them look like they were moving, a couple more cut from another sheet from the pad and all I added was some stunning swirls from the Prima Say It In Crystals Mini Swirls - Divine set from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...I didn't really use a sketch and just let the papers dictate the layout but am entering it for the C is for Challenge, Crafty Cardmakers Challenge and the Lady Anne's Challenges too...I'm heading to my craft room this morning armed with bin bags and cleaning stuff its desperately in need of a good clean and there's no more putting it off as the floor is covered in double sided tape backing strips...wish me luck I will need it lol...whatever your up to today wherever you are I hope its a lovely warm sunny day for you

isnt technology brilliant...

Good morning everyone...I hope your all well and having a brilliant week...isn't technology brilliant, well it is when you remember to press the publish button instead of the save lol...well duh how daft am I, I was shattered last night and decided to do my post to have a lie in this morning...in my sleepy state though I did a little boo boo and forget to press the publish button to schedule it...see its not technology at fault, its the idiot using it lol...Phil came home early yesterday and made pies and loads of them so we had the family for dinner last night, brilliant night and yummy pies...my Phil certainly knows how to bake and makes the best pastry ever, so light and crumbly...yum yum...so its his fault I was so full and sleepy last night, well that's my excuse and I'm sticking too it...did I tell you we bought a wreath for the front door at the weekend...Phil fell for a jingle bells wreath in red and white...its a circle of very tinkly bells with a huge red bow...our Daughter says its annoying but we love it and it will jingle every time the door opens...I haven't made any decorations yet so I better get my finger out hadn't I...have you all finished your Christmas shopping yet?, I haven't even started and I'm dreading buying for Phil he is the hardest to buy for...wouldn't you think how close we are I would know exactly what to get him but nope, not a clue, he isn't into technology (I'm the gadget person in our house), doesn't need any clothes and has all the cooking stuff he needs...so any advice gratefully accepted thanks lol...right now my card for today...isn't this little fella just fabulous hes from the latest Sparkle and Shine release at Sugar Nellie...fabulous Christmas digis perfect for Christmas/winter cards...hes called Letter to Santa and I coloured him with distress inks and added a bit of glittery stuff on the snow...I might have gone just a tad over with the distressing though and he ended up looking a little bit dirty instead of distressed edges...oh well we live and learn...the stunning gingham paper is a scrap from my stash so it doesn't have any name on it...I mean to put the names on the back of my scraps but didn't on this one...I added some plain red cardstock for an accent and finished with a fab bow and a few scattered sentiment stickers from the Bo Bunny Father Christmas stickers sheet...I cant for the life of me remember where the sketch is from (I think my memory is draining out of my ear the last 24 hours lol) but Im entering it for the Crafty Creations challenge, and the Allsorts challenge too....Im off out with my lovely Dad today for a little mooch and hopefully to find some ideas for Phil for Christmas...whatever your up to today have a brilliant memory lapse free day everyone

theres no accounting for taste...

Good morning everyone well did you have a fabulous weekend...we went out for a little run with my Dad yesterday, he seemed not too bad but you can never tell can you, its so hard for him...it must be because its hard for us Sisters...oh well we have a few weeks before the anniversary of my Mums passing and he is going away so he isn't home for the day so that's a relief, not that he wont be with me but that he wont be in the house where it happened...one weird thing yesterday we were walking through Town and there was a girl there with a pair of multicoloured huge trousers with braces...so strange, we were kinda hoping for her sake the circus was in Town, but its not though lol...some people sense of style is so strange isn't it but then I guess if we all dressed the same life would be pretty dull...speaking of dress I still haven't found anything for Phil's works Christmas party but decided to go with your advice and wear trousers and a top, smart but not too dressy...I will come back and tell you all off though if everyone has their long sparkly dresses on lol...right now onto my card for today...I decided to go CAS, yes I know shock horror me without my precious papers is such a shock isn't it lol...the fabulous Saturated Canary image was a freebie a little while back shes called Princess Rose Red, shes beautiful isn't she...I coloured her with distress inks, glittered her dress trim up and the background for her and the sentiment are from a Combo Sticker sheet by Bo Bunny's Father Christmas collection...I finished with a beautiful red satin bow from my stash...I really enjoyed making this cas card, I think its all the white but it really makes the coloured image pop of the page doesn't it...I'm entering this for the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge, Glitter n Sparkle challenge and the Challenges 4 Everybody challenge too...I'm going to have a sort out of our Christmas stuff today because I saw my first Christmas tree in a neighbours window yesterday evening and that means next weekend ours will go up....wwwwooohhhhooooo cant wait...whatever your up to today I hope you all stay safe and warm

be careful what you ask for...

Good morning everyone, did you have a fabulous day yesterday?...anything exciting, go on tell us all and make us jealous lol...we went out for lunch and a little teeny bit of shopping, I didn't find any curtains, well that's not kinda true I narrowed it down to four...oh no wheres another woman when you need one lol...we went into a little shop in town to get some stuff to feed the wild birds, there's hundreds here and I love watching them so what better way than to feed them...I know it sounds kinda bad but the best things to feed them in winter are Fat Balls which is a mix of fruit, seeds and fat that they need for the winter...but when I went into the shop I couldn't find them but there was no way I was going to ask a male assistant if he had any fat balls lol...so I sent Phil instead, he came back knowing where they were and after a min or two I asked him did you really ask him where they were, no he says I asked where the wild bird food was as they are beside them...now why the hell didn't I think of that duh lol...right now onto my card for today which is using this stunning Crafts and Me Hannah Lynn digi called Summers Day, shes stunning but makes me feel cold looking at her she needs a fleece and some woolly socks on I think lol...I used my usual distress inks to colour her and a stunning Bo Bunny paper called Smoochable Huggable...lush colours aren't they...I finished with a pink gingham bow and some hearts cut from the paper...I'm entering this for the Card Crafter's Circle challenge and the Clearly Inspired challenge too...we haven't anything planned for today except I'm going to make some chicken and vegetable soup for all the family to enjoy on Monday, its one of their favourites and goes really well with crusty bread for a winter dinner...so I will be up to my elbow in vegetables...whatever your up to today have a great warm toasty day

Good morning everyone, I hope your all well and happy and having a brilliant week...I'm still bare footed and no sign of shoes for the wedding and decided not to drag my poor Dad to Town shoe shopping I will drag Phil round on Saturday instead (poor man) lol, its hard to decide between comfort and looking great isn't it, now is it to much to ask that we woman can have a good pair of high heeled court shoes that fit like a glove and will be comfortable all day long...don't be daft Mina of course it is lol... but at least I did finish the wedding menus at long last I'm sure shes fed up waiting for them, the wedding has come around so fast, we will be flying out a week on Friday...I must admit the meal does sound scrummy just my type of meal, I will show you the menu after the wedding just in case my Niece wouldn't like me showing it before, we don't wanna upset a bride to be do we...I'm seriously struggling with my mojo and getting back in the swing of things since I got back...I don't know why but I hope it hurrys back as I have looked in all the usual places like under the bed with the fluff bunnies and in the bottom of my handbag but nothing yet...anyway my card for today is using one of the new Christmas digis from Sugar Nellie, this little sweetie is called Squirrel Delivery Service, wouldn't that be wonderful if squirrels delivered your Christmas gifts, there would be a lot of smiley faces waiting for the post wouldn't there lol...I coloured it with my usual distress inks and used another scrap of paper for my card, I'm loving using up all the scraps I found while we were moving...this one is from Bo Bunny and is called St Nick Noel, gorgeous isn't it...I finished my card with a gingham bow, red button and a stamped sentiment from the new Crafty Impressions Warm Winter wishes stamp set from Funky Kits I love these new sets of sentiment stamps, they are a brilliant finishing touch for any card...the fab sketch is from Sketch N Stash challenge and I'm also entering it for the Created with Love challenge and the Use It Tuesday challenge too...Its supermarket day with my Dad today, and you all know how I love the supermarket don't you lol...whatever your up to today I hope you have fun and if you see my mojo send it home please its sorely needed

splish splash...dont get water in your cocktail...

Good morning everyone did you all have a fabulously wonderful weekend...my sister and her family, Dad and our beautiful Daughter and her other half were all down for dinner on Saturday night, I made pies then we had chip shop chips with them for dinner and there was loads of laughter, eating, giggling and chat...everyone said how much they loved the warm welcoming feel of our house and how much at home they felt, so we must be doing something right mustn't we lol...the best day was yesterday though all the girls (including my fantastic 4 year old Niece who is definitely a diva in the making) had a girlie shopping trip to town to see if we could get our outfits for the wedding in October...and...we did, my Daughter bought a skin tight knee length 50's style dress, its stunning and of course it help having a size 8 figure she is going to wear it with leather gloves, clutch bag high heels and a fascinator, Sis couldn't decide on what to get so bought 3 dresses and she will chose later and take the others back (I hope she chooses the blue one its stunning on her and us great with her colouring...beautiful) and I bought a gorgeous jacket in a kind of brocade pattern in soft grey and black to wear with a John Rocha dress I bought ages ago...so a really successful trip and I loved being out with them all too...of course the little un had to have her lip gloss on and buy some girlie bits and pieces...she is so a girlie girl and so so adorable...right now enough waffle Mina onto to today's card, how perfect is the fantastic Gloria By the Pool by Mo's Digital Pencil...now how on earth did she get a photo of me to copy lol, yeah right, I wish I looked that good in a swimsuit...I coloured her with distress inks and used these lush Bo Bunny Back to Basics Smoochable words papers...I wont be entering any challenge for the next two weeks as I'm am only here virtually after today...but all the sketches except a couple I made up are from Mojo Monday...I finished my card with some pretty buttons...I'm off to pack today so wish me luck I don't forget something vital...whatever your up to today have a fantastic one and wherever you are I hope you get a bit of Gloria's weather

just a few more butterflies...

Good morning everyone I hope your all well, we had wall to wall sunshine yesterday and a teeny bit if warmth too...hhhoooorrrraaaayyyy about time too it was fantastic to feel warm sunshine and I even took my coat off lol....Phil didn't stay in bed he was up at 11am so we went out for lunch as he was starving...there's a new shop here called Poundland now who can resist a name like that...I managed to spend £18, Phil's says only I could go to somewhere called Poundland and spend that much, I think he should be thankful I didn't spend more don't you...I bought a huge pair of wallpaper scissors as I use them to cut straight lines instead of my guillotine sometimes and why oh why has the packaging got to be so hard to get into...of course a sharp knife isn't the best thing for me to use and yes you guessed it I stabbed myself and Phil gave me that 'I knew that would happen' look, its sore but it has stopped bleeding bit a bit bruised and its only my thumb and I have a spare lol...anyway onto my card for today which is for our new challenge at Crafts and Me Challenge, this time its our fabulous teamie Sara's choice and she chose 'favourite colour combo'...I don't really have a favourite as I love all and any colours and will try most combos...but I chose Pink & Green as my colour combo...the fabulous image I used is called Butterfly Melody from Crafts and Me, she has such a sweet face doesn't she, I coloured her with distress inks and used this lush double sided paper from BoBunny, its from their Smoochable range and is called Smoochable Stripe...I added a few punched butterflies to match and a gorgeous Satin ribbon 15mm PALE PINK bow from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop....lush colour isn't it...I finished with a few green roses from my stash...I'm entering this for the Corrosive Challenge (I used Tim Holtz distress inks to colour), Lollipop Crafts challenge and the Prairie Fairy challenge. I'm having a crafting day today and making use of my time while Phil is back to him usual hours and I can punch holes in myself without the 'look' lol...whatever your up to today have a brilliant one and if you have time don't forget to pop on over to the Crafts and Me challenge to see what the rest of our fab team came up with

Jingle bells...

Good morning everyone, well are you all prepared for the guy in the big red suit yet?...I bet I have put Jingles bells in your head now, you will be humming it all day, I did when I made this card lol...we did the dreaded supermarket shop yesterday, what with nipping between supermarkets and heaving ourselves through the crowds (I think everyone had the idea of getting it out of the way early) it took us an amazing 6 hours...yes 6 hours...now how on earth can four people eat that much food, although I do have my lovely Dad and my Sister and her family on Boxing Day too...I managed to get a bit of blog hopping done last night but I nodded off at about 8 and didn't wake up until 11, I'm looking forward to another big session of blogging tonight as I so enjoyed looking at your blogs last night, no napping tonight though...this Christmas lark is hard work isn't it I was shattered, but at least I dragged Phil around with me to show him what I normally have to do alone, although I think its faster on my own and I don't have someone putting double what I normally buy in my trolley lol...right now onto my card for today, how cute and sweet is this fabulous Christmas Bells image from the Pachela Studios collection at Cuddly Buddly, I love this cute little rabbit and cant resist him, I will have to go buy some more I think, I coloured him with distress inks...I used some more of this lush Bo Bunny Father Christmas 6x6 paper pad I bought from Charmed Cards & Crafts, I didn't think this lush paper needed anything that might cover it so I just added some rich red satin ribbon to finish...the fab sketch is from Mojo Monday and I'm also entering it for the Papertake Weekly challenge too...I'm off to spend most of today with my lovely Dad he has to have some very unpleasant tests and scans in hospital, I feel for him but at least I will be there to keep him company...keep your fingers crossed they don't find anything that shouldn't be there...whatever you up to today I hope its a quiet shopping free one

the quickest card I have ever made...

Good morning everyone I hope your all managing to stay warm, it was so cold here last night I thought it might snow, it was one of those nights when you just cant get warm, even the heating on, a hot water bottle and blanket didn't help...although Phil seemed to be ok, must just be the ice water in my veins lol...well we had pj success yesterday, I went to La Sensa and managed to get our Daughter two pairs of their lush pj's for the price of one and the lovely girl gift wrapped them for me into a box I would love to get too, I love girly touches like that don't you...my card for today took me exactly 4 1/2 minuets to make, how amazing is that, my Dad needed a card fast and I had a sheet of the Bo Bunny Father Christmas stickers and I have the 6x6 pad too so just stuck one of the stickers onto one of the papers and cut out, how quick is that then it was just a matter of layering up and adding some lush ribbon, a bow and a few buttons, I added a few holly leaves cut from ribbon too...I cant remember the last time I made a card that didn't have a coloured image on it, my Daughter wants a set of cards like this so I think I will just use the rest of the stickers to make them for her, could have them all done in an hour if I try hard...the fabulous sketch is from the Cards and Things challenge which is one I found through Feline Playful, that blog is a touch of genius isn't it...I'm also entering it for the Simon Says Stamp challenge and Craft your Days away challenge too...btw in case your wondering how I enter the challenges while I'm away I have a lovely friend who links them up for me...right I'm off to pack my distress inks and brushes as I'm going to catch up on some colouring while I'm away and there's a couple of new techniques I want to try too...whatever your up to today have a fantastic warm one
