Im in yellow mode...

Good morning everyone are you all having sunshine, we are having wall to wall sun now if we could just get the temperatures to match we might be changing seasons eventually...I had a fantastic day crafting yesterday, don't you just love a colouring session, its good for the soul...although I did stab myself twice, once with a scalpel and another with my scissors...but then its me so that normal isn't it lol...I just noticed after I had made up some cards, I must be in yellow mode and everything I have made for the next few days (except tomorrows that is) has some yellow in it...I think its the papers though they are defo getting more colourful and bright. I did a little bit of shopping last night, the new Magnolia stamps are in Bunny Zoe's Crafts for pre order and I usually only buy one of each collection but three dropped into my basket, they are so cute and unusual and I just couldn't resist, oh and I bought some of the new Magnolia papers too and just as I was leaving a Prima paper pad dropped into my basket, don't you hate it when that happens lol...I was cooking honey glazed chicken last night for dinner when it suddenly dawned on me its not that I hate cooking so much its the planning I hate, deciding what to make does my nut in...how do you all plan what your going to eat, maybe I should shop every day, yeah right lol...right enough waffling onto my card for today, this beautifully delicate image is a Belles and Whistles stamp called Every Belle...the Belles and Whistles stamps are a massive 25% off atm too...shes beautiful to colour and I used my usual distress inks and paper pieced her skirt and headband...the fantastically coloured papers are from the Cosmo Cricket 6" x 6" Mini Deck - Baby Jane paper pad gorgeous aren't they (see what I mean about yellow)...I finished with some fab yellow seam binding, a couple of pearl headed pins and a lush flower from the Kaisercraft Paper Blooms - Buttercream pack, everything except the ribbon and pins are from Bunny Zoe's Crafts ...these look very squashed in the packet but when you get them out and plump them up they are lush...the fab sketch is from the Sketch N Stash challenge and I'm also entering it into the Ribbon Carousel challenge and Creative Card Crew challenge ...I'm off out to lunch with Phil today he gets an hour for his lunch and only works a couple miles away so we are meeting in town, how amazing is that...whatever your up to today have a good one

a Happy Easter bunny...

Good morning everyone and Happy Easter to you all, this year is just flying by isn't it...whhoooosssshhhh and its Easter...I still buy my Daughter, her other half and Phil Easter eggs you know, I just dont seem to be able to get out of the habit...do you still buy your grown up children Easter eggs or is it just me...although they don't complain about it lol. One year when our Daughter was 6 she got an amazing 28 Easter eggs, I think we were still using them for rice crispy buns at Christmas lol...after that we asked people not to buy them for her it just seemed such a waste as she never was a great sweet eater but give her a Sunday roast and stand back lol...my card for today is for our new challenge at Just Magnolia & hAnglar & sTanglar challenge, this week I'm the host and its our special monthly challenge and the theme is Anything Goes, so lets your imagination run riot as long as it has either a hAnglar or Magnolia stamp used on it...I chose this cute Bunny Tilda stamp I bought ages and ages ago, I love this stamp and its fab to colour, I used distress inks and the fantastic papers are from the Glitz 6x6 paper pad Pretty in Pink, I love this pad I bought from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...gorgeous rich pinks toned down with chocolates and greys...lush...I finished with a stamped sentiment, a mixture of different size roses, yes they are roses and not paper cut outs lol...and I added some punched leaves and fronds...the lush sketch is from the Sunday Sketch and Stash challenge and I'm also entering it for the Crafty Cardmakers and Ribbon Carousel challenge...I'm having a crafting chilling day today as I'm all alone for the day, well that's the plan anyway...whatever your up to have a wonderful start to the Easter weekend and whatever your up to have fun

ok own up...who broke Mr Blogger...

Good morning everyone I hope your all well and happy and looking forward to a brilliant weekend, ok which one of you was it who broke Mr Blogger yesterday, I couldn't leave any comments, well I tell a lie I did comment on two which took me half an hour so I gave up and just surfed your blogs but didn't comment, will catch up with my commenting tonight though well if blogger is better, oh and my followers vanished last night too...my wonderful Dad comes home today, I was in floods of tears talking to him last night on the phone he was full of joy over how much he can see already and how he feels like a light has been switched on, I had to make a hasty retreat as I knew I was going to bubble like a baby, he would have called me a soppy sod lol...he always had such vivid blue eyes and I found myself wondering if his eye is bright blue again, I'm going daft I'm sure...we (with Phil I mean) had our lunch out yesterday and I made a cheesecake last night, I know who knew I could actually enjoy making desserts and cakes?, me whose idea of cooking is to open a tin of soup normally lol...we didn't get the food processor yet as we saw a couple of good bargains and wanted to do a bit more research on them to see which suits better, I think we should go with a brilliant one that has the same as the others but also has a coffee grinder which he could make fresh pesto in...I love fresh pesto yum yum yum...right enough waffle my card for today is using the most stunning summery image, isn't she amazing, she is from A Day for Daisies and is called Violets In My Hair, I loved colouring this beauty and when I was I found myself humming beach boy tunes lol...I coloured her with distress inks and yes there is a teeny bit of paper piecing again (I couldn't resist), the amazing papers are from one of the newest paper pads I bought from Bunny Zoe's Crafts (don't forget there's a 10% on until Midnight Sunday)...these papers are from the gorgeous Glitz 6x6 paper pack-Vintage Blue that colour combo works so so well doesn't it...I added a ribbon and bow and a few daffodils from my stash...the sketch is from Ribbon Carousel challenge and Im also entering it for the Papertake Weekly challenge and Crafty Ribbons challenge too...I'm having a day at home today, Phil's away marshaling at the motorbike racing and my Dad wont be back until this evening, so a spot of crafting I think and I will move away from the cutting out scissors I promise lol...whatever your up to today have a brilliant one

will wonders never cease...

Good morning everyone I hope you had a fantastic weekend, we had a wonderful family lunch yesterday cooked to perfection by my wonderful Phil, I know I'm so lucky to have a fella that makes the Sunday lunch while he gives me a chance to craft and made two cards I needed to make, there's not many of them about is there...I was shocked when our beautiful Daughter rang me late Saturday night and asked me to make her a baby card (she doesn't really like my cards so never ever asks, I know, how dare she lol)...after I picked myself up, I asked her what she wanted and she hadn't a clue only one stipulation she didn't want any writing or sentiment on it anywhere, its for a close friend and ex room mate of her other half who emigrated to Australia and has just had his first baby boy with his new wife, so I made two cards, a really modern bright one which I think suits the Australian destination and a more formal, elegant and traditional one which I thought suited his French Wife, I even finished the insides of the cards too...I will show you the other tomorrow and you can guess which one they chose

...I hardly ever make baby cards and ssssooooo enjoyed making these two...so my first one for their choice is using this amazing image from Mo's Digital Pencil called Kai in the Sand (sailboat Hat) this is the male version and there is also a cutie girl version too, I coloured him with distress inks and distressed the edges of the image too, I used a few Echo Park papers for it, the sailboat one and dotted are from their Boy collection and is called Awesome dots, the green is from the A Walk in the Park collection and is called Playful Stripes...I finished with some gorgeous striped ribbon and knot and a few buttons...the fab sketch is from the Ribbon Carousel challenge and I'm also entering it for the CES challenge and Creative Card Crew challenge too...I so hope they will love their card and it gets to Australia is somewhere near decent condition, although it stands a good chance as his Parents are taking it...right I'm off to do some food shopping today and then have a crafting afternoon because I have some DT work to do...whatever your up to today I hope you have a fantastic one

watch out for falling roses and sticky buttons...

Good morning everyone, did you all have a wonderful Valentines Day...go on make us all jealous with the showers of gifts you all got...I had a quiet day but did loads of crafting so see I did get off my butt and do something today lol...I made four cards and was just finishing this one and the three buttons I had chosen went missing, now remember my craft room is tidy now and no matter how hard I searched the floor I couldn't find them...so I decided to go get something to eat before I finished it and when I stood up the buttons were stuck to my bum (that will teach me to put the sticky on before they are needed), now how on earth...I know its big but not big enough to sweep the floor lol...the moral of this tale is if something goes missing when your crafting check your bum, you never know...right now onto my card for today using this beautiful Some Odd Girl digi called Brella Fairy, I won three digis from The Ribbon Carousel challenge so chose this beauty and two other that you will see soon as I cant resist colouring them, I coloured her with distress inks and added a little bit of glitter on her wings...now how lush is this Cosmo Cricket paper, when I tidied up my room I found a box full of what I thought were scraps and in the bottom there were about 12 sheets of 12x12 papers I bought about a year ago and this was one of them...how shocking is that, I need a good shake I think...this is a double sided sheet from the De Lovely collection and is called DeLirious...stunning colours isn't it and I love the teeny little roses...I didn't add anything except the three buttons and stamped a sentiment from Kaisercraft on one of the circles...the fab sketch is from Sketch Saturday and I'm also entering it for the Digital Tuesday challenge my stash is my year old paper)...well I so enjoyed my crafting day today I'm going to have another today, a good colour and play does you the world of good doesn't it...whatever your up to today watch out for wandering buttons

there a hole in my head...

Good morning everyone I hope your all well, I did a lot of hopping last night and there was a surprising amount of people saying they didn't feel well or had sore throats or coughs, so take care everyone there's some nasty bugs about, so wrap up and keep warm and for all those lovely people who aren't well I hope your feeling a bit better really soon...I have decided I'm going to give the Graphic45 DT call a go, I may not be the best or what they are looking for but you never know do you and if your not in it, it wont ever happen, so I went out yesterday to get some papers for it because I wanted to make a couple of new projects for it...got some lush lush Graphic45 papers, then went to Dads cause he has a leaky sink, then to shops to run a few errands...finally I got home and just got in the front door and realised I had completely forgotten what I was going out for in the first place...my busted sofa hair is still there lol...I have a hole in my head where my memory should be I think...oh well I will try to remember tomorrow or could write it on the front door for going out I guess, or better still on my hand or its back to getting up looking like I have had an electric shock during the night lol...my card for today is for our new challenge at Just Magnolia & hAnglar & sTanglar challenge, this week its our lovely Mo's turn to host and she chose Pink, Pearls and Lace...beautiful combo isn't it...I used this cute Tilda who I'm ashamed to say had never been inked, I got her ages and ages ago when I used to get the Magnolia stamp kits...I have an idea shes called something like Love cone Tilda although I might be totally wrong...I coloured her with distress inks and teamed her up with these lush papers from the Kaisercraft English Rose 6x6 paper pad from Bunny Zoe's Crafts, stunning soft pinks and greens in this pad and the paper with the white swirls is flocked and so soft too...I added a few pearls to the end of the swirls and at the side, the sentiment is from the same pad and I finished with a beautifully soft lace bow made with White 25mm Flat Lace - Polyester from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop and a couple of pearl headed pins...I love this sketch but cant remember where its from so if anyone knows could they let me know so I can leave a link...I'm entering this for the Ribbon Carousel challenge, Crafty Cardmaker's challenge and the Allsort's challenge...fingers crossed for my hair today everyone and whatever your up to have a fantastic one and if you have time pop on over to the Just Magnolia challenge to see what the rest of our amazing team came up with

dont you just love grey and pink...

Good morning everyone well are you all snowed in and frosty enough...we haven't had any so far and fingers crossed we don't get any, you can keep it thanks...I so envy you lovely people who live in sunnier climates, I'm just waiting for an invite to holiday with one of you lol...I think we could all do with some sun...my Dad is fine and it was lovely to see him again, he seems quite upbeat but then he hasn't got used to not driving yet, we did a lot of ringing round Doctors and hospitals to see if we could get it done privately but it is horrendously expensive and I know he is so worth it but we are all too stretched this close after Christmas, but we still haven't given up hope of getting it done faster, thank you all so so much for all the positive things and advice you gave yesterday it is helping so much...right now onto my card for today which is the girl version of the one I made on Friday, this gorgeous little girl is called With Love and is of course from Mo's Digital Pencil, only Mo could draw that wonderful face...I coloured her with distress inks and I'm so sorry but I have no idea what make these lush papers are but they are gorgeous aren't they, I paper pieced her heart and paper like on the boy version and cut out the edge of the paper for the letter bar at the bottom, the lush flower is cut from the bottom edge of the paper too, I finished with a ribbon and a satin bow...the fab sketch is from Papertake Weekly challenge and I'm also entering it for the Ribbon Carousel challenge and Joanna Sheen challenge too...btw did you see that Graphic45 are having a DT call, ooooohhhhhhh how I would love to be part of that team but I don't think I would be what they are looking for, but its a thought isn't it...we are having a family Sunday lunch today, lush food, good company and Phil will go pick up my Dad too...whatever your up to today have a fantastic one and if its very snowy be careful and stay safe

dont you just love a freebie...

Good morning everyone thank you all for your kind get well thoughts, my headache has eased and I'm just left with that hangover feeling, which is not very fair considering I don't drink (well not often anyway), now you expect the fuzzy head and feeling when you have had the best part of a bottle of wine, or one to many cocktails but not just from a headache lol...I felt loads better yesterday afternoon and managed a few cards too...I paint at my desk but for cutting and making card I always do that one the floor, daft isn't it, I have a sofa, office chair and loads of desk space but I love kneeling on the floor to craft, the thing is you need to be tidy to craft on the floor as me kneeling on a pair of my teeny curved scissors can tell you...ouch...see I knew that curve in them was for something I just didn't realise it was to stick in my knee lol...anyway onto my card today, the fabulously talented Victoria Case was offering this freebie on Facebook, isn't she just stunning...of course I had to yell yes please didn't I, I couldn't pass up the chance to colour her...I used distress inks and added just a few sparkles, well she has wings so you know the rule...the amazing papers are from the Kaisercraft Blea and Ivy 6.5x6.5 paper pad from Bunny Zoe's Crafts, lush soft colours isn't it, the quote is Shakespeare and I typed it on my laptop, that's one of the brill things about digis being able to add things isn't it...I finished with a lush ribbon bow, Prima grey lace and a metal flower...the lush sketch is from the Ribbon Carousel challenge and the Deep Ocean challenge...I feel in the need of some retail therapy today, I might even buy myself an early birthday present, so a mooch in town is on the cards for today...whatever your up to today have a brilliant one
