has Spring sprung...

Good morning everyone did you all have a great weekend? I hope you did and where you are the sun shone a bit, it shone here but rained on and off and we even had a few hailstones on Sunday morning (which made Phil swear at the sky as he had just got the lawnmower out to cut our grass for the first time this year), so maybe Spring hasn't sprung just yet...am I wrong or do the clocks change next weekend?...omg how fast is this year flying by...blink and another month nearly gone...I had a lovely day yesterday we went to pick up my Dad before we went to Town and I went in with a bit of anxiety in case his eye looked bad and boy was I right, I expected a little bit of blood in his eye but was shocked at how bloody it was, its bright red with a white ring around his pupil and a beautifully clear blue eye which has his sparkle back in it, he is totally amazed at how much he can see now and gushed about seeing things, including his own wrinkles (goodness knows what he thought of mine lol), I knew I shouldn't have gone up though as I now have a job of cleaning his carpets because he never noticed they were dirty before lol...we went for a mooch in Town had a late dinner and then my Daughter and her other half arrived with pressies and hugs and kisses...so an all in all good one...I hope yours was just as great...my card for today is using this fabulous Alice Mae image from Some Odd Girl, she is stunning to colour and I love colouring stripes don't you, I think these spring colours are perfect for her but might have been a little light handed on her pink dress as you can hardly see it lol...these amazing papers are from the My Minds Eye Miss Caroline - Howdy Doody 6x6 Pad I bought from Bunny Zoe's Crafts, lush papers and perfect spring/summer colours...I finished with some fabulous Sheer Elegance 15mm LIGHT PINK from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop and a couple of roses cut from the papers...the lush sketch is from The Sweet Stop challenge and I'm also entering it for the Ribbon Reel challenge and Paper Sundaes challenge ...we are of to pick up the food processor Phil wanted today and hes already talking about recipes for using it so watch this space...whatever your up to today have a brilliant one and I hope the sun shines for you

all about the paper...

Good morning everyone are you having a fantastic weekend?...anything exciting happening?, I would love to know what you thought of the Sugar Nellie two day hop and which is your favourite new stamp...now I need an aaaaaawwwwwwww from you all, I didn't even get through to the next round of the Graphic45 call, but then it was a massive long shot going in for it, its mainly a scrapbooking DT I think and I don't scrapbook so I'm not disappointed at all and dont take things like that personally, there are many reasons to pick someone for a DT and I just didnt fit this one...I have fabulous news about my wonderful Dad, he got his appointment for his eye measuring would you believe the end of May and was told it would take at least 4 months after that for his operation appointment so we all had a good talk and decided he should have it done in a private hospital, he has an appointment on Tuesday and all being well his operation will be 29th March, wow how fast is that...I am so so excited for him he has been really struggling bless him, hes an avid reader, in fact I have always said its a good thing toilet paper doesn't have writing on it or we will never get him out of the loo, but he has been struggling the last few months to see to read...that will all be behind him this time next month and I cant wait for him to be able to drive again so we can be off on our jaunts together, we have both missed them so much, so keep your fingers crossed everything goes smoothly for him...right now onto my card for today which is using this fabulous Some Odd Girl image called Sweet Kaylee, I bought her ages and ages ago and looked for the link to her but cant find it in their shop...I coloured her with distress inks and used a half sheet of an amazingly coloured double sided Basicgrey Marjolaine collection paper called Mint Fudge, isn't that a fabulous name and it really suits the paper perfectly doesn't it, I let the paper dictate the sketch as the large flowers are cut from the reverse and I punched more flowers from the paper, all I needed to add was some lush coloured buttons (and no I didn't swallow any lol)...I'm entering this for the CES challenge, Delightful Challenge and the One Stop Craft challenge, I have been so so busy lately I haven't had any blog hopping time but I will tonight so I cant wait to see what you have all been up to...we are taking my Dad to town today for a little mooch and maybe a spot of lunch...whatever your doing I hope its a good day for you

watch out for falling roses and sticky buttons...

Good morning everyone, did you all have a wonderful Valentines Day...go on make us all jealous with the showers of gifts you all got...I had a quiet day but did loads of crafting so see I did get off my butt and do something today lol...I made four cards and was just finishing this one and the three buttons I had chosen went missing, now remember my craft room is tidy now and no matter how hard I searched the floor I couldn't find them...so I decided to go get something to eat before I finished it and when I stood up the buttons were stuck to my bum (that will teach me to put the sticky on before they are needed), now how on earth...I know its big but not big enough to sweep the floor lol...the moral of this tale is if something goes missing when your crafting check your bum, you never know...right now onto my card for today using this beautiful Some Odd Girl digi called Brella Fairy, I won three digis from The Ribbon Carousel challenge so chose this beauty and two other that you will see soon as I cant resist colouring them, I coloured her with distress inks and added a little bit of glitter on her wings...now how lush is this Cosmo Cricket paper, when I tidied up my room I found a box full of what I thought were scraps and in the bottom there were about 12 sheets of 12x12 papers I bought about a year ago and this was one of them...how shocking is that, I need a good shake I think...this is a double sided sheet from the De Lovely collection and is called DeLirious...stunning colours isn't it and I love the teeny little roses...I didn't add anything except the three buttons and stamped a sentiment from Kaisercraft on one of the circles...the fab sketch is from Sketch Saturday and I'm also entering it for the Digital Tuesday challenge my stash is my year old paper)...well I so enjoyed my crafting day today I'm going to have another today, a good colour and play does you the world of good doesn't it...whatever your up to today watch out for wandering buttons

Spooky happening explained !!! + Creative Inspirations a recipe + Stamp with Fun-Sketch

Good morning everyone how are you all doing?...I wanted to update you on my spooky happening from yesterday, dancing with my Husband in my sleep...hhhmmmmm although that sounds brilliant my Husband works away so unless he had incredibly long arms it wasn't that, as to it freaking me out, it takes a lot to spook me, I'm one of those idiots that goes out to see what made a noise in the dark lol, my Dad said you must have been holding your wrists, now I have tried this and its a physical impossibility unless I did it one at a time...hhhhmmmm not sure about that one...I think it will just have to remain a mystery unless you have any other ideas of course...anyway onto today's card which is using the fab sketch at Stamp with fun and I'm also entering it for the recipe at Creative Inspiration too, I used this gorgeous Some Odd Girl digi called Sweet Kaylee isn't she a cutie, I coloured her with distress inks and teamed her up with these amazing papers, I think they are Making Memories because they were just bits, I cut five flowers from one of them to fit the recipe and finished with a pink satin ribbon and bow and a heart button...I hope you like it and have a fabulously happy day everyone
