strange and spooky...

Good morning everyone from the land of the boxes...that's what our house is beginning to feel like, I'm even having to start climbing over them to get into rooms, although I'm sure all you people who have done this will know exactly what I mean, there always has to be a huge mess before it all comes together doesn't there...I have to tell you about the freaky, spooky weather we had yesterday...it started as a cold really dark cloudy day, then it heated up so fast there was steam coming off the roads, then the skies turned black and we had thunder, lightening, sheet rain and the temperature dropped again, then bright red skies that looked like they were on fire, it was so spooky and strange, we just needed some hail and snow to finish off the set lol...I really shouldn't watch War Of The Worlds you know, the skies looked just like it did in the movie and freaked me out totally, it was all I could do to stop myself running down the street screaming 'the world is ending' (not really lol)...right now onto my card for today which is using the beautiful Jasmine from Sugar Nellie, I love this range of stamps don't you, they are so so pretty and girlie...I coloured her with distress inks and teamed her up with a half sheet of paper I think is from Basicgrey but don't quote me on that I'm not 100% sure...I used a bit of kraft card for the design too...I finished with some lush pink ribbon and a knot, buttons and a gorgeous sparkly pink rose...the sketch is from Mojo Monday and I'm also entering it for the In The Pink Challenge and Paper Pretties challenge too...guess what I'm doing today, bet you cant lol...whatever your up to watch the skies the end of the world is coming (I'm running down the street as I type lol)

p.s. I forgot all about the mood board I will pop back later when I have more time and post it

distress ink colours
skin - antique linen, frayed burlap, tattered rose
hair - frayed burlap
clothes - spun sugar, victorian velvet
frog - crushed olive
flowers and leaves - victorian velvet, crushed olive

I'm guessing your craft stuff will be the last to be packed, lol!! Another gorgeous card hun, love the colours, and Jasmine is so pretty. I adore her impossibly skinny legs, but I guess with fairy wings you don't need to worry too much about legs. Hugs Sxx

beautiful card. Love the image you've used. Weather here in Birmingham wasn't that weird but very oppressive; it triggered one of my migraines it was so bad. Hopefully your weather will be better today, its clear skies here at the moment x
