I met myself...

Good morning everyone before anything else I want to say massive apologies to you all for not visiting in a while, house hunting and invitations seem to have taken over my every spare hour, so by the time I sit down at night I'm shattered, in fact Im sure I met myself in the hall yesterday lol...I promise as soon as the invitations (this week defo) I will be visiting you all, I have so missed my hopping around your fabulous blogs...Phil came home a bit early today and he made me put the invitations aside and go out for a few hours, nowhere special just a little mooch around a shop and out for a loaf and milk but at least it was out and we had a giggle and a coffee then it was back home where I got back to the invitations while my wee darling made dinner, and very yummy it was too, sausage, mash, green beans and onion gravy, I might not tell him when I'm finished the invites if he cooks like that for me when I'm busy lol...anyway my card for today is using this sweet Sugar Nellie Home Grown Birthday Princess isn't she a cutie, I coloured her with distress inks and used this stunning double sided paper from SEI Claire range called Sincere, dont you think this is a really pretty colour combo...I finished with some grey organza ribbon and a few gold tinted Prima flowers...the fab sketch is from the Willow Sketchie challenge and I'm also entering it for the That Craft Place challenge and Lets Ink it up challenge...Im doing some catch up on DT work today then a bit of cooking I think, and you never know I might do a bit of surfing around your blogs, I need an infusion of your inspiration...whatever your up to today have a fantastic one

invitation burnout...

Good morning everyone, did you all have a brilliant weekend...well did the hex work...it certainly didn't work here it rained, it was cold and dull and very very grey...it was so cold we put the heating on, in July would you believe we needed the heating, that's a shocker isn't it...I spent most of yesterday designing inserts, fronts, cutting and measuring and still dont seem to be much further ahead with the invitations...oh well back to it today I guess, someone needs to rescue me from the invitation burnout I think lol...right now onto my card for today which is for our new Swirls and Lace challenge over at Bunny Zoe's Crafts challenge...hasn't this fairy got the sassiest look on her face lol...shes Kraftin' Kimmie - Tinkerbell and I coloured her with distress inks and glittered her wings up, now I just had too didn't I. I teamed her up with these amazing papers from the Prima 6x6" Paper Pad - Doodle Deux, when you first see this pad you think its really bright and colourful but its so lush, fantastic designs and I'm loving it...for the swirls I wasn't sure what to use until I remembered the Kaisercraft Clear Stamps - Tigerlilly set, the swirls and leave stamp on there was perfect for it I think so I stamped them in black, I finished with some lace and a red satin ribbon and bow...the fab sketch is from the Charisma Cardz challenge but I swapped the shapes across so they didn't hide the pattern so I hope its still ok, I'm also entering it for the Ribbon Girl Blog challenge and the Lets Ink it Up challenge too...right I'm off to chain myself to my craft table to get at least most of the invitations finished today...wish me luck...whatever your up to today have a fabulous one and when you have time pop on over to Bunny Zoe's Crafts blog to see what the rest of our fab team made

Tropical holidays are calling...

Good morning everyone I hope you all have something fabulous planned for this weekend...poor Phil has to go into work for a few hours so I dont think we will be up to much but Im hoping to get a visit to my local craft sorted because I need ribbon for the invitations...the lace arrived for them but not the one we chose that didnt arrive so I had to order a much cheaper back up lace, but its much nicer than I thought...the other one I ordered four weeks ago never got here, my poor neice was beside herself but we managed to fin the one that arrived and they will look just as gorgeous...oh btw we went to see a house last evening, stunning place needed decorated and a few 'us' touches but just perfect but...just a bit out of our price range maybe even with negotiating, I knew we shouldnt have went to see it, we loved the old doors and the design of it...but you never know do you...Im rapidly becoming obsessed with houses arent I lol...right now onto my card for today...how beautiful is this Hannah Lynn image from Crafts and Me...shes called Sadie's Dragon and is a dream to colour, I think my mojos back as I enjoyed making this card so much...I coloured her with distress inks and used this amazingly stunning paper from Graphic45, dosent it remind you of holidays?. Its from their Tropical Travelogue Collection and is called Garden Isle...I finished with a rich blue ribbon and a Prima flower, I didnt think it needed anything else, do you?...the fab sketch is from Creative Inspirations challenge and Im also entering it for the Cards with Attitude challenge and Chocolate, Coffee & Cards challenge...right Im off to get the war paint on in the hope Phil gets home early enough for the craft shop visit...whatever your up to today I hope you manage to fit in some crafting too

look out for a fairy with a head under her arm...

Good morning everyone I hope you all had a beautiful day yesterday like we did, wall to wall sunshine but the rain returned last night...I went out with my Daughter yesterday for a little mooch around the shops (Thursday is her day off) and I needed to get a few more things for my Nieces invitations I'm making, I don't know if it was the sunshine or being on handbag duty in the changing rooms (how come I always end up buying my Daughter something to wear? lol) but I managed to forget everything I went for...my head was definitely away with the fairies (aaaaahhhhhh that's what the title means I hear you all cry lol)...oh well it gives me an excuse to go to the shops again doesn't it...we all went out to dinner to Portstewart which is a seaside town on the coast here, we used to live there years ago and the meal was amazing I had Teriyaki Salmon on a bed of noodles with soy, honey, coriander and lime dressing it was yummy...will have to go there again...so all in all a busy day...ooohhhhh and you will never guess what happened, the estate agent rang up to cancel our viewing, its already gone... aarrggghhh...maybe we should stop looking so hard and it will just come to us what do you think?...right now onto my card for today, I think my mojo is creeping back as I really enjoyed colouring this stunningly beautiful image from Saturated Canary shes gorgeous isn't she, shes called Springtime and I coloured her a little differently than normal, I shaded the background in Pumice Stone distress inks, just adding shading here and there and a bit of colour on the flowers, what do you think? do you like it like that?...I coloured the rest of her with distress inks too...the lush papers are from the Prima 6x6" Paper Pad - Fairy Belle from Bunny Zoe's Crafts but I think its out of stock atm, I finished with an amazing dragonfly charm I bought from a local shop, I added some pearls to the body...the fab sketch is from The Sweet Stop and I'm also entering it for the Crafty Sentiments Designs challenge and By The Cute and Girly challenge too...I'm having a colouring day today as I need to get a bit ahead with work to make time to make the loads and loads of invitations, order of service and menus I said I would make...whatever your up to today have a sunny one

Happy 4th July to all our American Cousins...

Good morning everyone and happy 4th July to all of you who celebrate it, I hope you have a fantastic day, I would love to know what you all do to celebrate the 4th July...well I decided to take your advice and chill and go with the flow where my mojo is concerned, I just grabbed the first papers I came to and the first image and made a card...so still mojoless but at least making something...I got a lovely surprise yesterday, Phil arrived home at 11am and said get ready I'm taking you out for lunch, its things like this that make him being home for good so special, I still cant believe how lucky we are to be together full time now...don't get me wrong his little ways take some getting used (as I'm sure mine do for him) lol but we are getting there and enjoying each others company...now a little moan why on earth would an estate agents advertise a house and then tell you that you cant view it until the 1st September, seriously what is the point of putting it on now then????...does that make no sense to you either or is it just me being picky lol...right now onto my card for today how cute and pretty is this sweetie from Mo's Digital Pencil, shes called Big Shoes B and is the ethnic version, I told you I would do more darker skin tone images didn't I...I don't think I did her skin dark enough and although they are darker skinned I still used the same distress inks as usual to colour her...I teamed her up with more of these lush Bazzill Basics 6x6" Multipack - Vintage Marketplace from Bunny Zoe's Crafts, I love these lush papers, I finished my card with some lush coloured seam binding and a layered flower from my stash (I think its K&Co)...the fabulous sketch is from Mojo Monday and I'm also entering it for the Creatalicious challenge and Digital Tuesday challenge too...haven't a clue what I'm up to today but I'm not going to stress about creating anything at all...will just go with the flow be laid back and chill, am I sounding convincing yet lol...whatever your up to today have a fantastic stress free day and have fun if your celebrating

Good morning everyone I hope your all well, theres a few bugs going round at the moment so I hope you havent caught one...my lovely Dad is off on his travels again he flew out yesterday to spend a couple of weeks with my middle Sister in England, I hope he has a super fantastic time although knowing how much they do while hes there Im sure he will...I rang four estate agents yesterday and all the places we liked were either gone or there was something wrong with them, like no parking etc...oh well I will keep trying...right now everyone stop what their doing and watch your step, Ive lost my mojo bit time so watch you dont tread on it and if you find it send it back asap as Im missing it big time...I sat down on Sunday evening to figure out what I was going to make this week and...nothing!!!...nothing at all, thats never ever happened, I even struggled with todays card...whats going on wheres it gone, I need to search on top of the wardrobes and under the beds in a desperate hope of coming across it...help...right now onto my poor helping for today anyway...this beautiful stamp is from Sugar Nellie and Im not sure if shes out of stock but I cant find the link for her, she called Chillax and is probably under the Home Grown Country Cousins section of Funky Kits but I cant find her at all...Im not having a good day am I lol...I coloured her with distress inks and this lush striped paper is from Kars...lush isnt it...I finished with some rich red satin ribbon, sticky backed pearls and a sentiment from my stash...the fab sketch is from Sketch Saturday and Im also entering it for the Crafty Bloggers Network challenge...Im going to lock myself into my craft room today in the hope of finding some inspiration, if you dont hear from me in three days send help lol...whatever your up to today have a great one and keep an eye out for a lonely little mojo wandering around looking for her owner and send her home

back to the drawing board...

Good morning everyone I hope you all had a fabulous weekend...we went house looking yesterday of course no viewings on a Sunday so it was a look at the areas and outsides only...the stunning apartment that I secretly craved for is gone so thats out of the picture 'sob'...so its back to the drawing board and I must admit its getting a bit desperate now...now how hard can it be to get something we both love...very hard lol...I had forgotten we had such a vast difference in taste in houses, I love character houses but with modernised interiors, something that is perfect with the wow factor really now how hard can that be lol...Phil just wants plain and simple he even suggested a house on a retirement site...really not me and I know Phil would go with the flow and give me my own way but Im still living in hope we can get a real 'us' place...well you have to love an optomist dont you lol...right now onto my card for today, how adorable is this little sweetie called Little Bessie from Teddy Bo & Co, she looks like a little wartime evacuee dosent she...I remember my Mum telling me stories of when she was evacuated and this image reminded me of those stories and how much she loved living in Cornwall during the war...I coloured her with distress inks and teamed her up with these amazing papers from the Kaisercraft - Sweet Nothings 6.5"x6.5" Paper Pad, the one with the roses on is glazed, you can just see the shine off it I think...beautiful papers...I finished with some beautiful soft brown gingham ribbon and a bow and two of the Prima Flowers Primmers - White Cotton...the flowers and papers I bought from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...the cute sketch is from the Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge and Im also entering it for the Allsorts Challenge and The Ribbon Girl challenge too...right now its back to ringing up estate agents to arrange viewing today so wish me luck...whatever your up to have a brilliant day and wherever your are I hope the suns shining on you

the fastest needle in the west?...

Good morning everyone I hope you all had a fantastic day yesterday and didnt get too wet...remember yesterday I was saying about my beautiful Daughters time saving fancy dress outfit...well...guess who rang me half and hour before she was leaving with the pleading 'Mum can you do something with my costume its not quite right' voice lol...she wanted the sides of the front ruched so her legs showed a little, so out came the needle and thread and all the layers were ruched and stitched in under 15 mins...see fastest needle in the west lol...dont you just love that our kids think we can do anything in no time at all, I was the same with my Mum I knew she could sort anything out...well we went out to lunch yesterday but by the time lunch was finished the heavens had opened again and the water was running down the streets, so instead of a mooch round town we went home for a dry afternoon watching old movies instead...did you do anything?...right now onto my card for today, now I know I rarely use a stamp more than once (I know its shocking isnt it slapped wrist to me) but I had to use this stunning Whimsy Stamp called Cinnamon Sugar again she is one of my all time favourite stamps...this time I did her with darker hair, Im not sure it worked but it was fun colouring her...I used distress inks and her outfit is paper pieced with papers from the same paper pad I used for the card...they are from the Cosmo Cricket 6" x 6" Mini Deck - Baby Jane I finished with a gorgeous satin ribbon and some of the amazingly cute and pretty Flat Back Rose Cabochons - Mixed Bag these are fab as they are perfectly formed tiny little roses in loads of colours...everything except the ribbon is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...the lush sketch is from the Willow Sketchie challenge and Im also entering it for the Allsorts Challenge and My Mum's Craft shop challenge too...I havent a clue what we are up to today but I think we might just head on a wee jaunt, you never know where we will end up...whatever your up to today have a fabulous one
