a few more sparkles...

Good morning everyone are you worn to a frazzle yet?...I headed off to Town yesterday armed with my lists to get 'finished'...big massive mistake I think everyone had the same idea it was so so busy and as well as all the shoppers the three local high schools finished early for the holidays so you can imagine the crowds...after about an hour I had eight bags and four rolls of wrapping paper (they are my just in case ones lol) so my arms, wrists and shoulders were full and I was beginning to feel like a donkey...I went into a smallish shop and this young fella was acting the idiot and knocked into so hard all my bags went and I went flying against a wall...every single shopper in the shop came to help, they picked all my bags up sorted me out and made sure I was ok, one burly man even put the young fella out of the shop...isn't it lovely that despite how busy people are and how stressed they are finding life they can stop for a second to help someone in need...it really warmed my heart to see all those people help...the Christmas spirit is alive and well I think don't you?...I was fine but honestly afterwards I could have sat down and cried dont know why though...right now onto my card for today how amazing is this fabulous Teddy Bo image I love these pencil sketch images don't you, they add real dimension...its called Bo and Bea Baubles , I used my usual distress inks and of course loads and loads and loads of glitter glue...I teamed it up with these stunning papers from the Echo Park-Winter Wishes pad, its from Bunny Zoe's Crafts but is out of stock atm and finished with a beautiful blue organza ribbon and bow and a button the gorgeous sketch is from the Sketch N Stash challenge, I'm also entering it for the Inky Impressions challenge and the Simon Says stamp challenge too...I'm staying in this morning would you believe poor Phil has to work but then he has Monday off instead so makes his holidays just a little longer I guess but I miss him when he works at weekends, hopefully he wont be too late though and he doesn't know yet as I didn't want to totally spoil his Saturday but we are heading food buying today lol...whatever your up to I hope its fun and festive

snow joke...

Good morning everyone...sorry for the pun I couldn't resist using it for my card today and had to use it in the title too lol...you know the days when you go in your craft room and the bug gets you, I had one of those yesterday and made 5 cards and coloured 8 images, hows that for a roll...poor Phil spent most of his evening in the rain with a friend looking at our Daughters car which for lack of a better word conked out, no idea why at the time it just stopped dead...luckily Phil's friend is a mechanic and had some computer equipment in his car that he could wire up to the car to tell what was wrong...so its a faulty battery which isn't tragic but bad enough for a young couple struggling with Christmas coming up so we offered to buy her a new one but little miss independence wants to sort it out herself...but she knows we are here if she needs us I guess...sometimes we just have to let our kids get on with things don't we no matter how hard it is not to butt your nose in lol...right now onto my card for today, how cute and funny is this poor little snowman, he reminds of accident prone me (btw I fell out the door the other day oops lol)...hes from Teddy Bo's Fairy Doodler and is called Pencil sketch Melted Man...I love the Pencil sketch images Gayle does don't you...they have so much character and are really lifelike...I coloured this cutie with distress inks and glittered the edges so he would just catch the light and look frosty...the amazing papers I teamed him up with are from Cosmo Crickets Dear Mr Claus range and is called Santa's letters...I love the lettered side don't you...I cut some out to make the sentiment and finished with a strip of lush lace from Kars...the fab sketch is from the Crafty Creations challenge and I'm also entering it for the Teddy Bo Challenge and Whimsy Stamps challenge too...Its supermarket day with my lovely Dad today and time to do a bit more Christmas shopping I think...I have a huge list to get through...whatever your up to today have a brilliant one and wherever you are I hope its warmer than it is here

surfs up dude...

Good morning everyone, how are you all doing?...I hope your all well and happy and keeping yourself safe and sound until I get back...when we go away usually we hire a car and drive around making sure we miss nothing but this time, we are going to do nothing at all except lie around the pool and out to eat...I think that's energetic enough don't you...so no surfing, well not for my anyway although Phil does like to go snorkeling around the rocks and hes like a kid, only coming back when his fingers are pruned lol...my card for today is using a freebie I got ages ago...hes a fab Teddy Bo image of course and I coloured him with distress inks to match this fabulous My Minds Eye Lil' Robots papers...I love that range of papers don't you, they are just perfect for boys cards...I finished with some lush blue gingham ribbon and loads of buttons...the sketch is from Mojo Monday...right that's me for today whatever your up to today have a brilliant one and no surfing now lol

back to the drawing board...

Good morning everyone I hope you all had a fabulous weekend...we went house looking yesterday of course no viewings on a Sunday so it was a look at the areas and outsides only...the stunning apartment that I secretly craved for is gone so thats out of the picture 'sob'...so its back to the drawing board and I must admit its getting a bit desperate now...now how hard can it be to get something we both love...very hard lol...I had forgotten we had such a vast difference in taste in houses, I love character houses but with modernised interiors, something that is perfect with the wow factor really now how hard can that be lol...Phil just wants plain and simple he even suggested a house on a retirement site...really not me and I know Phil would go with the flow and give me my own way but Im still living in hope we can get a real 'us' place...well you have to love an optomist dont you lol...right now onto my card for today, how adorable is this little sweetie called Little Bessie from Teddy Bo & Co, she looks like a little wartime evacuee dosent she...I remember my Mum telling me stories of when she was evacuated and this image reminded me of those stories and how much she loved living in Cornwall during the war...I coloured her with distress inks and teamed her up with these amazing papers from the Kaisercraft - Sweet Nothings 6.5"x6.5" Paper Pad, the one with the roses on is glazed, you can just see the shine off it I think...beautiful papers...I finished with some beautiful soft brown gingham ribbon and a bow and two of the Prima Flowers Primmers - White Cotton...the flowers and papers I bought from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...the cute sketch is from the Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge and Im also entering it for the Allsorts Challenge and The Ribbon Girl challenge too...right now its back to ringing up estate agents to arrange viewing today so wish me luck...whatever your up to have a brilliant day and wherever your are I hope the suns shining on you

Good morning everyone I hope your all well and dry, did you see the flooding in Wales, those poor people on holiday camping and in their caravans and the poor locals who will have to endure the cleanup...typical British summertime isn't it...no crafting was done yesterday, I lay on the sofa all day trying to watch back to back Poirot in between the long naps so still not feeling good at all...I fell asleep totally at about 2pm and only woke up when Phil rang me to say he was on his way hone at 7pm I dashed and made this card so apologies it isnt my best, poor little card, I did make the chinese though and when I put the plates in front of us, I just couldn't eat it at all, couple of mouthfuls, watched the Pirates of the Caribbean worlds end then went to bed and straight to sleep again...I think I have been bitten by a sleepy sickness fly lol...so apologies for not hopping to your blogs yet again and for my distinct lack of mojo today but at least I got a card made...right now onto my poor little card lol...the image is of course a Teddy Bea but shes a stamp, its rare I buy magazine but when I saw one with two free Teddybo stamps I couldn't resist could I...I coloured her with distress inks and paper pieced her hat, dress and boots with some of these gorgeous embossed papers from the Kaisercraft - Homemade 6"x6" Paper Pad I bought from Bunny Zoe's Crafts, I bought two more Kaisercraft pads this week so you will be seeing them this week sometime (well if my mojo returns or I find it with the dust bunnies under a bed somewhere you will)...I finished with some gingham ribbon and a bow and a family sentiment from the same paper pad, I'm entering this for the Papertake Weekly challenge and the DYSU challenge...you will have to excuse me feeling sorry for myself a bit today as I'm off to bed again to see if I can sleep off whatever I have...if you don't hear from me for days send parcels of craft goodies to revive me (well its worth a try isn't it lol)...take care everyone and have a wonderful Sunday

a bit of time and some favourites...

Good morning everyone, I hope your all well...well we hit the shops yesterday and I got a huge bargain...an oven mitt lol...it was a bargain but hardly enough to get me excited I'm sorry to say, I looked at loads of sale goodies but found nothing that I really wanted so I will save my gift cards for something I really want instead of just buying something from the sale because its a bargain...my Dad is loads better thank goodness and since he started taking the re hydration solution he even looks lots better, but like most people he doesn't drink enough, I did try to tell him that tea doesn't count lol...do you have anything planned for New Years Eve then, we never do anything, in fact its usually just another night, we will maybe have a glass of wine at midnight, so go on make me jealous with all the lavish lush parties your going too...my card for today is to wish you all a very Happy New Years Eve, this gorgeous little fella is TeddyBo_84 and I coloured him with distress inks, these lush papers are from the Prima Printery 6x6 paper pad, I love this pad, the papers have an aged Victorian feel to them...the large clock is an acetate one from Kaisercraft that I bought at the last Kings Hall craft fair I went too, gorgeous isnt it...I finished with more clocks cut from the same pad and a swirly ribbon...the fab sketch is from the Crafty Ribbons challenge and I'm also entering it for the Cute Card Thursday challenge and The Ribbon Reel challenge...

have you seen the lovely Debby has a five favourite cards challenge at this time of year, she has one for Christmas Eve (which I missed) so I was determined to join in with her New Years Eve one, why don't you hop on over and enter too as you can win some candy for entering...
so here goes with my five favourite cards of 2011...boy did I find it hard, not because there is so many of them my favourites but because I make an awful lot of cards and had to go through them...I hope you like them too, the names above them are their links to the posts
phew that was a long one so thanks for sticking with me...have a fantastic New Years Eve everyone and I wish you and those you love the best for 2012

Good morning everyone well what you all up to today...anything nice?...I'm off to get my haircut today, the only thing is when its super short it shows all the grey, or should that be lack of colour lol...my card for today is for the Teddybo black and white and one other colour challenge and have you noticed something...oh no Teddybo is the wrong colour, I coloured this fabulous Teddybo Bo's Bubbly smiles with the usual browns but it just didn't look right for the challenge so I was going to colour him black but decided his cute little face might disappear under all that black so I decided on grey and just did the shadows...I added blue as my other colour...the fab black papers are from the Kaisercraft Velvet Ensemble paper pad, I love this and cant stop using it...I added a sheet of blue from another pad and a sentiment ribbon I found in the bottom of my ribbon box, a few buttons and its sorted...I used the fab sketch from Inspirational Card Sketches challenge and I'm also entering it for the Cardmadfairy's digi challenge which is to use buttons...right I'm off to draw a picture of what I want my hair to look like for the hairdresser so he can make it look nothing like it...have a fantastic Saturday everybody
