the Lush pink velvet paper - Truly Scrumptious challenge #46-Sketch+Think Pink + A Spoon Full of Sugar-anything goes

Good morning everyone, well the wallpapering at my Dads is going well and another day should do it, I had a lovely surprise yesterday as my Sister and my super gorgeous cutie Niece arrived at my Dads to help, it was fantastic to see them and my niece just gets cuter every time I see her, shes at that age when she has to be into everything, but I managed to distract her by asking her to help paste the walls for wallpapering until I realised she was pasting the surface of the newly hung wallpaper instead, so the Tellytubbys went on instead lol...my card for today is for our new challenge at Truly Scrumptious and the sketch is one of those fantastic simple ones that you can fluff up if you want to and there's an added option of Think Pink too, I used the fantastic Mo's Digital Pencil image (don't forget we have a DT call on for the Dreamteam too) Alice with present, just perfect for anything occasion, I coloured her with Distress inks and now onto these amazingly stunning papers, the photos really don't do them Justice, they are from My Minds Eye Lush collection, the brocade one is velvet and really rich feeling and is called Pink Damask paper and the spotted one is from the same range and is double sided and called Pink Floral paper...aren't they so gorgeous...I finished my card with a couple of satin bows and pearls and a tag...when you have time hop on over to Truly Scrumptious and check out the amazing work by the rest of the DT...I'm entering this for the Spoon Full of Sugar anything goes challenge too...well fingers crossed this is the last wallpapering day so wish me luck and have a fantastic day everyone

p.s. I was asked a couple of questions about yesterdays card and havent had time to go onto their blogs yet to answer them...the snowflakes arent a diecut they are gel stickers from Simply Creative £1 a sheet and the image wasnt paper pieced yesterday just coloured xxx

A bit of glitter and lace - Whiff of Joy challenge Sketch + Oldie but a Goodie-Glitter

Good morning everyone, wow how cold is it I think I have frost bite in my extremities...bbbbbrrrrrrr....I was having a rummage through my stamps and realised how many neglected ones I have and thought I really should start reusing them if I can so this Winter 2009 stamp got an airing this time, I was one of those kids that had to have every toy in bed with me in case they got lonely or felt left out, my Mum used to come in to my room and couldn't see me for toys lol, she said there was a few times she had to have a rummage just in case, but these stamps have been out of sight thank goodness or there would be a card every week with dozens of stamps on...there's a fairly new challenge which encourages you to use your stamps that are at least six months old called Oldie but a Goodie and their challenge this week is Glitter so Im entering this card for it, its also using the Whiff of Joy challenge sketch too...the paper is from the Basicgrey Figgy Pudding range and how amazing is that glittery ribbon, I bought it at the NEC just couldn't resist that lush chocolate glittery stuff, the photo really doesn't do it justice...I also used some fabulously thick latte coloured lace and a few glittery snowflakes to finish...I'm off back to my Dads today to hopefully finish the decorating, hes chuffed to bits with it but I have this sneaky feeling that last time he was having a look round to see which room I could do next lol...have a fantastic day everyone and keep your bits nice and warm
