back with a flourish of pink and white...

Good morning everyone did you miss me?...did you notice I was gone lol...well I'm back from our little break, we had a fantastic time and would you believe only had one day of rain...wow is that some kind of record I wonder lol...well what did you all get up too in my absence? anything exciting or spectacular, go on spill the bean.  County Wexford is one of Ireland's most stunning counties I think...its very like Devon and lots to do and see too...and strawberries everywhere you look in fact after a six hour epic car journey down there when we arrived we couldn't drive to our hotel as the annual Strawberry festival was in its last throws and the finish was in full swing right beside the hotel but with a bit of canny Galaxy tablet GPS manoeuvring we finally managed to get to the car park and find a space dumped our bags and headed to the celebrations...brilliant street market with food, music and celebrations...I was a bit miffed Phil wouldn't let me get my face painted but we enjoyed it anyway lol...when we finally crashed into bed that night despite a couple of hotel disappointments which I will tell you about tomorrow we were shattered but content...I have loads and loads of photos but will only put you through a few I think you will like so don't panic lol...right now enough waffling and onto my card for today which is for our new monthly Challenge at Bunny Zoe's...this month the theme is Pink and White, I love this colour combo don't you...for my card I used this oh so gorgeous stamp from the Magnolia Special Moments collection she's called Tilda with Little Hat isn't she so so sweet (shes on sale atm too)...shes coloured with distress inks I masked her up and stamped a frame from the Kaisercraft Clear Stamps - Miss Empire Frames set and cut them both out, the sentiment I used on on of the tags is from the same stamp set too, the lush papers and tags are from the Teresa Collins 6x6" Paper Pad - Summer Stories...I added a white satin ribbon bow and finished with a gorgeous flower from the Prima Flowers Perle Bebe - Almanac pack and a scattering of Flat Backed Pearls...everything except the ribbon is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...I made the sketch up as I went along but am entering this for the No Matter Which Challenge, Addicted to Stamps Challenge and The Ribbon Girl Challenge too...when I went into my craft room last night to make a couple of cards for this week the images I had pre coloured before going away had been sitting in the sun and were so faded I could harder see them duh lol...so its back to the drawing board...I might not have a card made for tomorrow but if I haven't I will probably bore you to bits with some holiday photos and some tales so be warned lol...whatever your up to today I hope you manage to enjoy some sunshine

bbbbbbbbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

Good morning everyone did you have a fab weekend, ours was very quiet but nice, I couldn't get any of the family to come out and play this weekend though it was freezing here and nobody wanted to venture outdoors...I think my lovely Dad was hibernating lol...even the temptation of a meal last evening couldn't get any of them to move...we did get loads done yesterday in the the house though...nothing massive but loads of those little annoying niggly jobs that you put off until you have too...there was a terrible draught downstairs and Phil put some fitted excluder on the front door and I sorted out a couple of bits of skirting that needed a gap filled, we did a bit of painting and sorted out the spare room getting rid of all the unwanted furniture and rubbish, so a productive day and we even managed a coffee out too...amazing what I can find to do when I want to fill time out so I don't have to think about smoking...thank you all so much for backing me with my giving up...I'm still going strong so far, my fingers and toes are firmly crossed you should see me hobbling about lol...right now onto my card for today which is for our new challenge over at Bunny Zoe's Crafts
this month it was our lovely Tracy's turn to choose and she picked the theme of Winter, perfect excuse to make a Christmas card with a frosty feel to it isn't it...I chose this gorgeously cute High Hopes - Penguin Friends stamp for my card coloured with distress inks and paper pieced with some lush Echo Park - Winter Wishes papers, the fabulous sentiment is cut from the pad's front cover. see we crafters waste nothing do we lol...I finished with some beautiful Marianne D Vintage Lace - Duchesse and a few punched snowflakes glittered with Stickles Glitter Glue - Crystal everything I used is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...the sketch I made up as I went along and I'm entering this for the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long challenge, Joanna Sheen Challenge and the Charisma Cardz Challenge too...I'm staying in today and making tacos for dinner and doing a little bit of catch up crafting...oooohhhhh I feel in need of some colouring...whatever your up to today have a brilliant one and I hope you manage a bit of crafting too

eek no colouring...

Good morning everyone...what did you get up to at the weekend? anything exciting?...go on let us know and make us all jealous...it absolutely tiddled down here yesterday so no gardening thank goodness I'm so glad of the rest...even so doing bits and pieces meant I didn't get any crafting done at all and when we did finally sit down at about 4pm I fell asleep almost instantly and didn't wake until 7.30 would you believe...I must have needed it though as I'm still shattered and even went to bed early last night. We did pop out to the supermarket for a few things though and I watched as Phil and my Dad stood open mouthed watching a rather plump middle aged woman with skin tight pink cropped trousers, a skin tight leopard print top and the biggest hair and loads of bling you have ever seen looking at the book section...the expressions on their faces were hilarious and when they saw me watching them they just grinned like a couple of schoolboys found with their hand in the cookie jar lol...seriously though do some people not own a mirror, although I suppose she thought she looked great and that's what counts...right now onto my card for today which is for our new challenge at Bunny Zoe's Crafts monthly challenge, this month the theme is distressing, any kind of distressing you want, you can distress your papers or distress using inks anything you like...I chose to use these stunning stamps (the compass one and the main postcard one) from the Kaisercraft Clear Stamps - Check In
stamp set, this like all the Kaisercraft sets is so so lush, loads of stamp all on one sheet too and fantastic quality...I distressed the edge of my main image with antique distress ink and used papers from the beautiful Graphic 45 8x8 Paper Pad - Olde Curiosity Shoppe pad...I finished with a little bit of lace, some clocks cut from the papers and a frame from the 3 x Oval Frames (B053-W) set...Im entering this for the Simon Says Stamp challenge (this one is stamps only), Stampalot challenge and the Allsorts challenge...I have to do a crafting day today to catch up with dt work and do some crafting for while I'm away, I still need to do my posts don't I ocd or what lol...whatever your up to today have a brilliant one and don't forget to check those mirrors before you head out lol

its still Summer...

Good morning everyone, how was your weekend?...well the sofas are bought and it isn't the ones I wanted or the colour I was the keenest on but there's method in my madness, they were my second choice and I still love them but I let Phil have his way and now the next dozen things I want for the house I wont hear a peep out of him about...see method lol...I have a mood board made for the living room but as my post is photo heavy today I will post it tomorrow...of course that's if you want to see it, I don't want to bore you all rigid bleating on about the new house you know...although I'm getting so excited about it now and might have a couple of excited girlie screams you know lol...dinner last night was cooked by our beautiful Daughter and her other half, it was chicken, porcini mushrooms, white wine and cream with carrots and mash...omg it was fantastically tasty and was so welcome with us running around like headless chickens its fantastic not to have to stop to cook a meal...she can defo come again to cook that lol...right now enough waffle onto my card for today which is for our new Challenge over at Bunny Zoe's Crafts

this month is my choice of theme and i chose Summer...so anything summery or summer colours or image...let your imagination go wild...I chose to use this amazing sweetie from the Morehead Acrylic Stamp Set - Blossom isn't she just fabulous look at that adorable face, I coloured her with distress inks and teamed her up with some paper from the stunning Prima 6x6" Paper Pad - Romance Novel (including the paper piecing), the little tag and envelope are from the same pad too...I finished her with a stunning yellow organza ribbon and some flowers which are Mini Tulips - Yellow Lily Rose - Cream and Open Rose-Gold Orange , everything except the ribbon is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts

its rare for me to be completely happy with a card I make but I'm so chuffed with this one, it turned out exactly how I imagined it in my head, do you know what I mean...the sketch I made as I went along but I'm entering this for the Simon Says Stamp challenge, Paper Crafting Journey Challenge and the No Matter Which Challenge too...I'm finishing some packing today, theres no rest for the wicked lol, whatever your up to have a wonderful one, when you have time pop on over to the Bunny Zoe's Crafts Challengeto see what the rest of our lush team came up with

invitation burnout...

Good morning everyone, did you all have a brilliant weekend...well did the hex work...it certainly didn't work here it rained, it was cold and dull and very very grey...it was so cold we put the heating on, in July would you believe we needed the heating, that's a shocker isn't it...I spent most of yesterday designing inserts, fronts, cutting and measuring and still dont seem to be much further ahead with the invitations...oh well back to it today I guess, someone needs to rescue me from the invitation burnout I think lol...right now onto my card for today which is for our new Swirls and Lace challenge over at Bunny Zoe's Crafts challenge...hasn't this fairy got the sassiest look on her face lol...shes Kraftin' Kimmie - Tinkerbell and I coloured her with distress inks and glittered her wings up, now I just had too didn't I. I teamed her up with these amazing papers from the Prima 6x6" Paper Pad - Doodle Deux, when you first see this pad you think its really bright and colourful but its so lush, fantastic designs and I'm loving it...for the swirls I wasn't sure what to use until I remembered the Kaisercraft Clear Stamps - Tigerlilly set, the swirls and leave stamp on there was perfect for it I think so I stamped them in black, I finished with some lace and a red satin ribbon and bow...the fab sketch is from the Charisma Cardz challenge but I swapped the shapes across so they didn't hide the pattern so I hope its still ok, I'm also entering it for the Ribbon Girl Blog challenge and the Lets Ink it Up challenge too...right I'm off to chain myself to my craft table to get at least most of the invitations finished today...wish me luck...whatever your up to today have a fabulous one and when you have time pop on over to Bunny Zoe's Crafts blog to see what the rest of our fab team made

Good morning everyone did you all have a fantastic weekend?...I hope you did and that the weather stayed ok for you...we had a lovely Sunday, we went to the huge market and car boot sale in Antrim and it was a thick pea soup fog all the way until the last few miles then it lifted and although it was cold it wasn't too cold...I must admit there was a couple of the most shocking stalls I have ever seen in the market...one sold paramilitary type clothing including the ski masks with the eyes and mouth cut out complete with two small boys dressed in full gear including toy machine guns and the other was a Nazi stall, with full regalia, flags, bust of Hitler the lot...I was flabbergasted and so angry and thank goodness Phil was with me or I would have been a lot louder and if I had had a few more guts they would have got a tin of paint around the stalls...seriously why????? would they do that...but besides from those two shocking moments the rest was fine and I bought a few things nothing special, well unless you counts a bag of fresh dug spuds special and two new pillows lol...we stopped off for coffee then came home and made dinner for the whole family, Phil cooked his Italian dish with the lushest garlic potatoes and I made Tiramasu cupcakes, complete with coffee syrup and marscapone, Marsala and vanilla cream...now who knew I could make cupcakes...not me, I was quite impressed with myself lol....I will take a photo of the couple that's left to show just to prove I can cook when I want too...right now onto my card for today which is for our new challenge at Bunny Zoe's Crafts monthly challenge and this month Tracy chose the theme is Celebrations anything celebration you want really so there's a lot of choice there, I chose Birthday and used this fantastic little Whimsy stamp called Sam's Special Delivery isn't he so so cute...I coloured him with distress inks and paper pieced his sling...the lush papers are from the Authentique 6x6 Paper Pad - Blissful this is such a beautiful coloured paper pad and on sale too, I finished with a printed banner which I cut out and strung with some Sew Easy Bakers Twine - Neutrals twine a gorgeous Gingham Wired Edge Gold Thread Ribbon - Brown bow and a few yellow buttons, everything except the buttons is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...the lush sketch is from Tuesday Morning sketches (I hope it still counts as I moved the sentiments so I could fit it in), I'm also entering this for the Papertake Weekly challenge and Allsorts challenge...phew thanks for sticking with me for this super long post, boy I can waffle cant I lol...I'm having a crafting day to do my projects for the Graphic45 call...whatever your up to today have a fantastic one

I added some of the 3mm pearls mixed bag as snowdrops too...the lush fabulously yummy letter paper is from the Sweet Christmas 12x12 paper collection and called Christmas Letter, I cute a few of the letters from the paper and used more pearls for the berries on it...I finished with some ribbon and I decided to use some of the paper to decorate the inside too, everything except the ribbons are from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...I'm entering this for the DYSU Inspired by a Song challenge (I chose Winter Wonderland, you know the one that goes 'Walking in a Winter wonderland') I'm also entering it for the Christmas Stampin' all year round challenge (I haven't used the Edwin stamp before) and the Crafty Calender challenge too...I cant wait to see what you come up with for our challenge and when you have time you could hop on over to Bunny Zoe's Crafts blog to check out the rest of the teams amazing makes...I'm finishing a project today, one you will see on Thursday...whatever your up to have a fab day and don't forget if you haven't joined in my candy yet pop on down now as you never know do you

a christmas teddy and candy news...

Good morning everyone, did you all have a brilliant weekend, ours was very quiet and restful, the kind I like now and again but not every weekend, I think Phil is taking advantage of the quiet as we are off to the Belfast Crafts show next weekend so the poor man will be bored out of his brain, mind its his own fault as I said I'm quite happy going alone, maybe hes scared he will miss something lol...when Phil came hone on Friday night his first job was to clear the biggest squished spider the one I couldn't pick up with the vacuum, and I quote he said 'bloody hell, that's a big un' lol...see I told you it was a biggie...anyway its that time again, time for our new challenge at Bunny Zoe's Crafts monthly challenge and this month our fabulous Michele's choice and her challenge is lace it up, so use lace somewhere on your creation

I made a kinda 3d sorta card, sorry don't know what its called as I haven't seen it anywhere well except in my head, its three layers two of which have holes cut out, I think it would make a fantastic photo frame don't you...the idea came to me from the papers as the front sheet looks like a book cover...the lush fantastic papers are from the Fancy Pants 6x6 paper pad Saint Nick, now how fantastic is this Stampavie Tina Wenke Holiday Bear just perfect for any Christmas project isn't it, I coloured it with my usual distress inks and added a bit of glitter, I finished my card with some beautiful lace from the Marianne D Vintage white lace pack and a beautiful glittery gem candy cane from my stash...all the goodies for my card except the charm are from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...I will be back later with some lush new Bunny Zoe's Crafts monthly candy so keep an eye out for it...have a wonderful day whatever your up to, I'm going to have a rummage in my craft room to make a list of essentials I need before the weekend...when you have the time pop on over to our challenge blog to see what the rest of our fabulous team have come up with this month

summer fun and one of last weeks mishaps...

Good morning everyone I hope your all having some glorious sunshine, the weather (hang on until I find a piece of wood to touch) is lovely here, not roasting hot but sunny and bright...I have to tell you something that happened to me while I was away and hand on heart these things really do happen to me, I haven't a clue why but they happen very often...I think someone up there is taking the mickey you know lol...on the drive to the farmhouse we found a warehouse that sold old furniture and you all know how I like a rummage, so we parked and off we went for a mooch...I should have guessed really when I saw the state of the stone stairs leading down to the place that it wasn't a good place for me to be really...there were a few nice pieces but all the things I liked someone with the same taste had nabbed before me...off we go upstairs to look at stuff that had just come in the fella who owned the shop told us...wandering round not a care in the world then the earth moved as my foot and leg up to my calf went through the floor...now I don't know who got the biggest shock, me, Phil or the fella below, luckily I wasn't fully on that leg if you know what I mean or I really would have gone through the floor...the guy had the nerve to shout up asking if I was ok, I will be fine I shouted when I have recovered from the heart attack that caused me, needless to say we didn't look anymore and left with Phil shaking his head like he does when these things happen to me...right onto my card for today which really should have gone on yesterday but never mind its here now, its for our new challenge over at Bunny Zoe's Crafts monthly challenge which this month is fun in the sun and I thought this fantastic new stamp from the new release by Whimsy stamps called Fairy Daydreams fit the bill playing peek a boo in her flower, I coloured her with distress inks and teamed her up with these beautiful new papers from the Basicgrey 6x6 Sweet Threads paper pad, lush colours aren't they, the beautiful little dragonflies are from a set called Wooden Ornaments Flower Animal No 1, I stained them with distress inks and glittered aren't they so gorgeous, the sketch is from The Corrosive challenge and I'm also entering this for the Stamp Something Bugs or Butterflies challenge, Stampin for the weekend Wings and Things challenge and the Stampalot anything goes challenge too...right I have taken up enough of your time today so will pop off to my craft room to get a bit more colouring done...have a wonderful day whatever your up to

Good morning everyone, how are you all doing?...I hope your all well as there's a lot of colds and flu going around...I was just having a think about my Mum this morning and thanks to some of your fab comments was thinking about all those wonderfully wise and daft things our Mums say to us that we don't cherish until its too late sometimes...do you have any wise or funny things your Mums said to you as I would love to know...I woke up yesterday morning to two big deep scratches on the inside of my upper arm, bleeding and everything...now I have been known to sleep walk, which is something Phil worries about when hes not here, I think he feels one night I will take a dive of the top of the stairs or go for a walk outside and has visions of me tramping down the road in my jimjams...I cant figure out where these gouges have come from or where I must have caught my arm, twice...weird or what?, maybe it has something to do with the full moon...its a day for philosophy today as I would love to know how my Dad can ring and ask if I will go with him for bread and coming back with his loaf and three bags of shopping for me when I needed nothing at all...now that's even weirder isn't it lol...anyway enough waffle today's card is late it should have been posted yesterday but I couldn't get on to post it and had to wait until now...its for our new challenge at Bunny Zoe's Crafts challenge, wow thank you all so much for entering last month for my choice of lace, we had an incredible 457 entries...the challenge this month is Fairies...I really wanted to use this fantastic Michelle Perkett studio Flower Goddess digi so decided with a little help from a Martha Stewart butterfly punch I would add some wings to this beauty to make her a fairy, I coloured her with distress ink and made some of the flowers 3d...the beautifully bright and summery papers are from the Wild Rose Studio 6x6 paper pad Cherry Cupcake of course you can get the papers and image from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...I finished with some lush satin ribbon and a satin ribbon sentiment with a few teeny punched butterflies...the fab sketch is from Sunday Sketch and Stamp challenge and I'm also entering it for the Stamp Something something punched challenge too...when you have time pop on over to our challenge blog to check out the rest of the DT's lush work...I haven't a clue what I'm up to today except I'm not going shopping because I really don't want another three bags of shopping...have a great one everyone
