a vision in blue ready to tuck in...

Good morning everyone I hope your all well and happy...I met with my wonderful Dad yesterday for coffee and general putting of the world right, he told me he had got a speeding ticket through the post and was ranting and raving about it and was very angry with himself for being 'so stupid' as he put it, well I told him that anyone that drives as fast as him wants to thank his lucky stars he has made it to 79 without one...I don't think he was impressed but it made him chuckle anyway and cheered him up lol...hes off on his travels again this weekend, off to my Sister in Belfast for a few days then flying to stay with my other Sister in England for a couple of weeks...I love to see him head off, don't get me wrong its not that I wont miss him because I do a lot but I just think at his age you never know what will happen to stop him being able to travel so he should go for it just in case don't you...right enough waffle Mina onto my card for today which is for our new challenge over at Just Magnolia & hAnglar & sTanglar challenge...this week its our fabulous Dena's turn to host and she chose the theme of cooking, well I think I must have been a bit hungry when I made this as it has more to do with eating than cooking lol...I used the stunning Simsalabim Tilda (who's on sale atm at Bunny Zoe's) but masked off her wand and put a magnolia knife and fork stamp in its place, I also masked Tilda and used one of the Magnolia Muffin stamps behind her, I think they worked together for this don't you...I coloured them with distress inks and teamed them up with some more of the amazing new papers from the new Magnolia Sweet Rainbow collection papers, these are called Blue Foliage and Turquoise Plaid, I love these new papers, so so lush...I also added some of the new Marianne D Flower ribbons, this one is the White Organza...I finished with a beautiful satin edged ribbon called Sheer Elegance White from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop, the fabulous sketch is from Stamp with Fun challenge, I'm off to catch up on some DT work today so if you don't hear from me send food parcels (with a few crafty things stashed inside) lol...have a fantastic day everyone and when you have time pop on over to Just Magnolia to check out the rest of the teams amazing creations

Oh so pretty in blue! Love how you have changed the wand for the fork n knife! I know how much work goes into making these changes and layering of stamps; but it came out great! AWESOME job!

It is nice for your Dad to travel, my parents travel to visit us too; and I love it :0)

Beautiful card Mina, I just love what you've done with the images. Hope your Dad has a lovely time away, your story reminded me of a time I was waiting at heathrow, I went for a coffee to pass the time and there was an elderly couple sitting at the table beside me, they were both sitting with their german phrase books and were practising their german on each other, I remember thinking, if I'm lucky enough to reach their age I want to be just like them, off on their little adventure and still learning new skills, fantastic!. hugs Donna x

I already admired this card at Bunny Zoe's blog...your details as the cupcake and fork and knife are perfectly masked....love the papers too...must laugh about the story of your dad...my mother is 84 and is also still driving her car and she's always talking about driving almost too hard!
Wishing you a wonderful (crafting) weekend!
