groovy baby...

Good morning everyone...did you all have a fab weekend, I hope you had the best...wasn't the tv good last night for a change, I watched Ice Age (brilliant film I always laugh so much at it), then a documentary about gladiators then along with a huge helping of Tiramasu and a glass of colombard chardonnay I watched 300...would have so perfect if Phil had been there but he was away back to work for the week, but the Tiramasu and painted on muscles helped lol...I then had a little mooch around Facebook and caught up with some DT commenting and I will catch up with all you talented crafter's tonight...did I tell you about the 'romantic' night we decided to have the Friday before I left the farmhouse, we had a lovely italian meal and a glass of Merlot, chatted away then poured ourselves another glass ready to watch a film, next thing we remembered it was midnight and we woke up in time for bed, we had missed the film and I cant even remember which one it was, see now you know why I only ever have one glass of wine lol... the best laid plans hardly ever go right do they lol...right now onto my card for today which is using a fab digi from Tickled Pink stamps, I love this groovy chick don't you, shes called Lil Fashionette 60's Ivy, I coloured her with distress inks and the lush papers are My Minds Eye My family collection...I made a sakura flower and added some punched leaves...the fab sketch is from Eat, Sleep, Stamp sketch challenge and I'm entering this for the Papertake Weekly make your own flowers challenge too...I need to catch up with some DT work today so will be locked in my craftroom, which is desperately in need of a good tidy too, any volunteers?...whatever your up to today have a brilliant one

Wow Mina, this is so pretty. I love the colour and how youve made the leaves to appear like they are blowing in the wind. I did a poem for Speech and Drama in primary school called "the leaves in a frolic" and this card reminds me of it. Of course that was only a few years ago (cough....ahem), heehee. Lee xx

Groovy Baby! Love the way your flowers turned out. She reminds me of Marlo Thomas in "That Girl". Do you remember that show?

Opps.....the poem was actually called "the leaves falling". Hope you dont mind but Ive put it underneath here, you dont have to publish this. Your card has brought me right back to being 7 years of age reciting this poem.

The leaves falling (anonymous)

The leaves had a wonderful frolic.
They danced to the wind's loud song.
They whirled, and they floated, and scampered.
They circled and flew along.
The moon saw the little leaves dancing.
Each looked like a small brown bird.
The man in the moon smiled and listened.
And this is the song he heard.

The North Wind is calling, is calling,
And we must whirl round and round,
And then, when our dancing is ended,
We'll make a warm quilt for the ground.
