a bike+green=holiday fun...

Good morning everyone do you all have this rainy weather, I know the North East are having problems with flooding but not sure where else is, I hope you have escaped it...well I met up with my wonderful Dad yesterday and his solution is water canon and rubber bullets and looking at how Britain is going nuts atm I have to say I cant see another solution, he agrees with me too that political correctness has gone way too far and everyone is terrified to speak or act in case some jobs worth jumps out and accuses them of something...oooohhhhh I seem to be on my soap box today lol...we did pop into B&M bargains after the supermarket and wow do they have some bargains, I bought a large white scrolled mirror and a retro curved top clock for the living room in the farmhouse, they are so lush but I have described them too well so I think piccys are needed don't you, oooohhhh and I decided I really must wear my glasses more often I spent two minuets whacking a bit of fluff yesterday thinking why wont this spider squash ...oops...right now onto my card today, which I did wear my glasses for thank goodness is for our new challenge at Just Magnolia & hAnglar & sTanglar challenge which this week is our fabulous Jan's choice and she chose a Holiday Fun theme, I used this cutie Tilda and her bike, I love this cute stamp, I think its that fab bike, I coloured her with distress inks and teamed her up with this amazing foiled leaf paper, the papers and tab are from the Kaisercraft Blea and Ivy paper pad, I love Kaisercraft pads as the papers aren't just plain, they are foiled, flocked and glazed and embossed and they have four sheets of borders, tags and sentiments at the back too, great value, I intend one day to buy them all...the pad I bought from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...I finished with some punched butterflies and a lush pink ribbon and bow...the lush sketch is from Mojo Monday and I'm sure I had a couple of more challenge in mind but my list has gone astray...well I'm making Chicken soup today as our lovely Daughter and her partner are coming for dinner and its their favourite with crusty bread and good Irish butter...so I will be up to my eyes in chopped vegetables this morning...have a brilliant day whatever your up to and if you have time hop on over to Just Magnolia to check out the rest of our wonderful teams projects...wow they are amazing

Hi Mina
I knew your Dad would think that way... we'd just mentioned the same the other night... but I expect it'd be stopped by the 'do-gooders'!
Fab card.... love the colours you've used - you seem to have a perfect eye for colours... it shows on all your cards.
And mmmmmm to the chicken soup... it's our fav too, with the crusty bread and Kerrygold...... can we come too please?? LOL!

Hi Mina,
Your dad and William would sort this mess out (William political correctness has transformed itself into complete stupidity and thinks lack of discipline in the home is at the root of everything).
Anyway your card is gorgeous. Beautiful colours and wonderful butterflies. Tilda is stunningly coloured. Brilliant.
Hugs,

Love the way you combine the formal paper with this casual scene. You really have "the eye" for choosing papers colors and embellies.

I agree round up the kids AND their parents and make them clean up the mess. Punishment should be that the parents and kids should have to work side by side doing community service for the next year! Political correctness is another term for apathy.

Now off my soapbox and onto blogging! Have a good day and enjoy you family.

Oh Mina, you had me giggling away to myself so much that my hubby came in to see what I was laughing about. I can just imagine you whacking away at the "spider"!! And only because I have done it so many times myself.....and I have no excuse because I have my glasses on but Im screaming at the top of my voice too, doing Karate chop "Hi ya" noises and beating the life out of fluff with my slipper!! That is until my hubby comes and takes the slipper off me and lifts the poor battered offending piece of fluff and asks me "what did this bit of fluff ever do to you?". Awww, must be a Northern Irish thing to beat up fluff!! Right, Just before I go off on a fluff beating rant I better discuss your card! Its really beautiful, the colours are gorgeous and your colouring in is terrific as always. Right, Im off to find more fluff! Lee xx

Now i'm thinking this is my favorite card of all you have done. I love the soft greens & the DP is yummy. I may have to have this image as you have just brought her to life!
Your dad & I have the same opinions. The world has really gone overboard with being politically correct.

Afraid that you Dad is right, esp about the da*& "political correctness"! I'd better be careful or I'll be getting up on my favorite soapbox! Tilda looks cute with her bike. PICTURES, we want PICTURES!!!
